LD26 — Minimalism

Darwinian Monsters by uprightpath 2013-05-02T08:07:00

Very cool idea! I love the puzzles, though I feel they might be a bit too clever for me :P

Worm War by Ezzam 2013-05-02T19:08:00

Really great concept for a game mechanic, reminds me a bit of Farbs' Captain Forever. Hope to see this more fully developed someday!

Gods Will Be Watching by Deconstructeam 2013-05-01T08:53:00

Outstanding game. The graphics somehow felt original but sent me on a total nostalgia trip. The gameplay is kindof like that too, reminds me of Oregon Trail combined with Space Quest and Walden.

Run by starpixie 2013-05-01T07:18:00

I felt like the grabby terrain was the true enemy at times, but the game maintained tension and losing items throughout rather than gaining made for an interesting play experience. Might have been nice to have a level with all items before you start discarding stuff. Also very nice tiles!

Staring Contest by timtimtimtim 2013-05-02T01:01:00

Fantastic use of theme! Only suggestion is to maybe use video if you go for a larger release?

Minimalistic PotatoPeople by goerp 2013-05-07T19:45:00

Interesting idea. The user interface gets a bit painful is all.

Fragments of Him by Aceria 2013-05-01T09:26:00

This game made tears in my eyes. My only critique is that while the general tone of the voiceover was quite good, especially considering the constraints of the Dare, it lacked gravity in some pivotal moments. Nonetheless, the writing came through brilliantly in the design and mechanics, like interactive poetry. Not to mention this was one of the best uses of theme I've seen. So yeah, all of that.

Minimala Jones & The Raiders Of The Lost Art by krutech 2013-05-03T04:56:00

I really like the perspective/angle thing you did with this, seems like it would be good for creating suspense. If you expanded it a bit this game could be really cool!

The Only Rocketeer by Monxcleyr Productions 2013-05-01T07:08:00

Neat game. Interesting concept, and I liked the narrative. The puzzles miiiight have been a little too smart for me, but that's not a bad thing. As others have mentioned, some other gameplay concepts introduced alongside the puzzles might liven things up if you decide to take this project forward from here.

Ai'n Av Diortem by awppy 2013-05-02T05:35:00

Cool project! The platforming controls could use a little tightening up but it definitely has the feel of a great game in the making! I really hope it doesn't lose its sense of humor in the finishing process, I'd love to see this character's reaction to losing all his stuffs :)

CREPITUS by ENDESGA 2013-05-02T02:36:00

Like a slowed down super crate box. The enemy health could get annoying, but also made me tense as the game went on. Reloading added to that tension for sure!

Dark Black by Purplescape 2013-05-01T08:35:00

Has to be my favorite potato reference so far! Really nice backgrounds too!

Million Dollar Manbaby by Lianne Booton 2013-05-01T09:49:00

Game mechanic is super original and awesome, and keeps the game interesting even though the combat can get a bit repetitive. Art is fantastic, especially considering the time limitations. Very polished entry!

Ego Tripper by bramvq 2013-05-07T19:38:00

Loved the little one-up comments! Simple and well executed, perfect for the theme!

LESS [Last Exit Scary Square] by Tsuki_Usagi 2013-05-03T20:50:00

I hope you go further with this! The vision occlusion in the hallway and the simple interface helped create a lot of tension!

</3 by kirby_freak 2013-05-02T05:23:00

I was surprised by how much I got into this, honestly. I think the steep difficulty at the beginning actually helped the game: it was kinda scary trying to hunt out the first few victims, but extremely gratifying seeing more and more of your former tormentors fleeing in tears. Is this a game or a psychological diagnostic?

Lumber Rumble by MRvanderPants 2013-05-02T09:04:00

Nice game! I agree scaling difficulty would be a worthwhile addition, but overall it's very cool! I love the way the gameover and menu are integrated right into the scene so smoothly!

Gawdamn Aliens! by Jyrkface 2013-04-30T18:55:00

Thanks for the comments!
Middle of the last day of the jam a bunch of bugs started cropping up in Alien Behaviors, it basically became completely random how long it would take for enemies to build up a critical mass. For this reason we set the spawn scale to the max from the beginning, so that this version would be "fair" at least in terms of endgame scores. Might do more with the game later though, and that will def include a better fix for this.

Gawdamn Aliens! by Jyrkface 2013-05-01T08:57:00

dsoft20 - Shoot incoming missiles! They bounce back and even hurt the aliens! Another little trick is that you can use your truck as cover as long as you can still defend your trailer!

Definitely though, if I finish this project I'll make the difficulty scale up instead of just starting at ridiculously hard, but it will get even ridiculously harder if I add in the enemies that got cut for time :P

Gawdamn Aliens! by Jyrkface 2013-05-02T08:09:00

Honestly, making wonky titted Satan was my favorite part of this whole Jam :P

Gawdamn Aliens! by Jyrkface 2013-05-02T09:22:00

@kreishweide - Don't I know it! Unfortunately Ryan had a stupid root canal he forgot about during the Jam and consequently the music we got done on time sounded like cats in a blender, so it was back to the old SFXR for sound support :P

Other features cut for time were a slower scaling of the invasion, several random characters to spawn as (explaining why the trailer is the spawn point, sort of) and two additional enemies (who are jerks.) I'm very much thinking about throwing next weekend on the altar and finishing this thing :)

Gawdamn Aliens! by Jyrkface 2013-05-07T07:07:00

Thanks for all the great feedback! It will be taken into consideration while finishing the game! Some things we're working on adding include 30+ unlockable characters to randomly spawn as (no differences in abilities, just visually different for some color) 5 additional enemies and 4 additional levels to unlock as well as fabulous new power-ups.

Hoped to have a web version uploaded here by now, but the Ludum Dare version of the game without the new features had some graphics corruption, so that's going to take a couple days..

Gawdamn Aliens! by Jyrkface 2013-05-11T23:57:00

@Tsuki_Usagi: can I ask which version you were playing?

Gawdamn Aliens! by Jyrkface 2013-05-11T23:58:00

Also, definitely agreed about the mouse. This game is not trackpad friendly at all :P

Equilibria by Khaldrin 2013-05-03T07:05:00

Clever game concept! Could see a lot of possibilities for this!

^2 by MaxguN 2013-05-12T04:43:00

Perfect fit for the theme! I really like the way you animated the square for added visual interest

Pick-M by Lim3s 2013-05-12T00:05:00

If developed further, and maybe taking some ideas like Blenno's into account, I could see this being a very fun little web game :) great first entry

Undersea - The Excellent Expedition by wy477wh173 2013-05-12T05:52:00

Fun game, only real problem being the aforementioned bug. I hope you plan on finishing it :)

Bezier Challenge by Travis Irby 2013-05-01T08:21:00

Fantastic concept, and very nicely executed. I love the visual feel of the whole experience.

The Painter's Cat by Arcana 2013-05-02T03:15:00

Wow. Just outstanding. Excellent take on the theme, my favorite "Mondrian" so far, by far. Top marks in every category, it all fit perfect

Ping by Cybearg 2013-05-02T05:04:00

Fantastic game! Really enjoyed the authenticity of the retro feel. Definitely feels different from just using atari 2600 samples and old graphics, and, given the theme, I thought presentation was damn near perfect on all fronts.

Canon by sparkleswirl 2013-05-20T17:19:00

Wow, this is pretty fantastic. I feel like playing it a lot could actually help with rhythm/coordination for playing actual instruments :)

make a binky by soerensen3 2013-05-01T09:33:00

Too funny, and surprisingly entertaining, actually. Excellent use of theme ;)

BareBones by zeelyndz 2013-05-04T06:17:00

Great writing. Sometimes repeats phrases too close together, common rush stuff, but the ideas were well explored and vocabulary was well put to use.

Minimal Moves by 1WeekEndStudio 2013-05-07T22:05:00

Gorgeous graphics and concept! I would love to play this on my iPad!

Naked Shades by Lamia Queenz 2013-05-01T03:27:00

Super interesting project! Surprisingly fun, but really the fact that you created this twine extension in the timeframe of the jam alone is impressive. I hope it catches on!

Nest by Sebby 2013-05-02T05:09:00

Potato Birds! Also neat game, makes me feel dumb and useless though. I wish there was was a little more empowering game about my babies starving.

LD26-2D-Freelancer by joshimoo 2013-05-12T00:02:00

Can't wait to see what you make with this! Seems like a strong start!

How Can You Even Tell If I'm Just Fucking With You At This Point by mcc 2013-05-02T08:59:00

I think you are. Also, did you excerpt that readme out of House of Leaves?

Hyperborea: The Secret of the North by Cake_Catastrophe 2013-05-02T05:26:00

Is there a 32Bit windows version?

Colossal Clean-Up by UndergroundPixel 2013-05-01T07:59:00

Absolutely wowed. Graphics and music both lent to a very charming atmosphere. Only gripe is getting stuck bumping into stuff on the stairs.

Colossal Clean-Up by UndergroundPixel 2013-05-01T08:14:00

Only suggestion would be to have the timers not stop when the stairs come down. Gives players a chance to completely clear each floor before moving on.

Minimalistic Dota Clone (+ Osmos) by Finn Stokes 2013-05-03T20:40:00

Wow! Very cool that you were able to put together multiplayer so fast!

LD27 — 10 Seconds

Bunny Catcher by Blue Glaucus 2013-09-08T08:13:00

I found myself playing this for far longer than I expected. The music was oddly entrancing, made me picture a casio playing alone in a peaceful meadow

Death Rooms by Jan Marcano 2013-08-28T21:22:00

Really enjoyed the random generation, but occasionally ran into visual glitches that made it near impossible to win. Hope to see a finished version after compo!

Hallucivian by Hypnohustla 2013-09-11T18:26:00

Can't wait to see this on my iPad!

10 Up by RobDangerous 2013-08-28T21:43:00

Nice concept, probably a little big to tackle for the Dare tho!

Super Paper! by FakeHair 2013-08-28T21:56:00

I really enjoyed the game, would be a great inclusion for any mini-game game

BLAM BLAM PLANET by ratking 2013-08-28T21:27:00

I really love the aesthetic of this game! The lo-fi 3d look is pulled off excellently, and matches well with the music and sound effects as well!

SELF-DESTRUCT by Mago 2013-09-08T08:35:00

Nice job! With the control issues polished and a little more content I could see this being an addictive little game!

RELAY by Homletmoo 2013-08-28T21:50:00

cool game! I love how the style of the graphics and music complement each other, and the level exit effect looks cool as hell! It would be nice if the post-compo version controlled the power with something else besides waiting though :)

LD28 — You Only Get One

One Strike by Jyrkface 2013-12-17T23:08:00

Thanks so much! We ran into like a hundred million AI bugs toward the end, so a lot of features/levels got dropped and menus weren't finished as we wanted them :)

Also because of a recurring glitch with the ESC key we had to use the "Q" button as an exit. Another fix added in the last 20 min :P

LD29 — Beneath the Surface

ScubaBear by _Rilem 2014-04-30T07:37:00

Holy Win. When can I buy the full version?

The Woods by tinyworlds 2014-05-06T20:47:00

Gorgeous, immensely atmospheric game. Thanks for sharing :)

The Legend of the Thunder Fish by BMacIntosh 2014-04-29T17:39:00

Great game! Would love to see a finished version with some more gameplay options :)

Murder Clown by Just_delete_it 2014-04-29T17:52:00

Well done sir!

Octopi: The Descent by ocmu 2014-04-30T01:52:00

I have to admit this confused the shit out of me :P But it did give me points, and that was delightful :)

Alien Infiltrator by HuvaaKoodia 2014-04-29T23:02:00

really fun, reminded me of the older Metal Gear games a little bit. Adding some offensive capabilities would be awesome! My only gripe is that I got spotted by an enemy through a wall while invisible :P

Under Riders by calvinsm 2014-04-30T01:33:00

I actually really enjoyed this entry. The audio and graphics work well together to create a nice ambiance. It matches well with the slow urgency of the game :)

punk n roll by grozamorei 2014-04-30T01:38:00

Ten Stars!

Epilepsy by tchem 2014-04-30T18:27:00

Great game! Lovely pixel art :)

Sharks With Feelings by fermenter 2014-05-01T01:01:00

Great game, music matched the vibe perfectly :)

Indigestion by Artless 2014-05-06T21:03:00

Really enjoyed the first level's mechanic, very interesting. The steep difficulty change on the third level was a little frustrating. Overall a very nice and varied entry :)

DUNGEON DUNGEON DUNGEON by urisensei 2014-04-29T19:06:00

Fantastic art but I wasn't able to make it past the first monster :(

Deep Sea by erezronen 2014-04-29T18:47:00

Great sound and atmosphere! Impressive that you cultivated the mood so well with such little time to work!

The Colors Beneath the Surface by VictorDoval 2014-04-29T17:46:00

Wow, really loved the graphics. Was half convinced the gameplay was generating the music for a while :P

Alien Buddy: Beneath the Surface of a New Mexico Landfill by Andrew Patton 2014-04-30T00:07:00

Hilarious and very true to the original game :)

NanoMineBo by evilseanbot 2014-04-30T19:53:00

Fun silly little game. The success screen is brilliant :)

Dig Master by cirolve 2014-04-29T03:18:00

Super fun! Surpisingly addictive dig mechanic :P

LD30 — Connected Worlds

NECLiD by 0x0961h 2014-08-26T21:59:00

Wow! Great entry! Super polished graphics/sound given the timeframe!

Yond by (Not) Ivano 2014-08-26T21:26:00

Wow, really love the cerebral approach to the theme. Graphics are minimalistic awesome, as always ;)

LD31 — Entire Game on One Screen

Little Dude's Epic Adventure by Jim Haslett 2014-12-10T01:17:00

I agree with johnbrynte on everything. Great example of how aesthetics and feel can make a game much more than its mechanics :)

Critters by salmonmoose 2014-12-11T08:29:00

Glad to hear you'll continue work on this project. Clearly lemmings-like, but you've already started to make it your own quite effectively :)

Screen Mover by Sh1rogane 2014-12-11T01:24:00

Great concept and use of theme!

Wavy Jumps by Mefteg 2014-12-10T03:45:00

Wow, a lot of polish on this for such a short timeframe. Really enjoyable game, every aesthetic touch suited it perfectly and there wasn't a single one too many. If you're continuing to work on it multiplayer might be fun to play around with ;)

Unity Ascension by hitchh1k3r 2014-12-10T03:56:00

Wow! Online multi in LD is a tough feat to pull off, that it was your first is just amazing :)

Shitty-Cy-Runner by purezero 2014-12-09T22:40:00

Very fun game! Challenging, works well within its limitations. The controls made for a lot of close-calls with the "competitors" which was nice, although there seems to be a point where the game is easier because of all the obstuctions (although at another point it seemed like I couldn't get any stars because of them :P) Overall one of the more enjoyable gameplay experiences I've had this LD

Kill Them All by Submundo Games 2014-12-10T01:55:00

Just so you know, the .rar link took me to a password request? Anyways, great game, very polished presentation! As noted by Windmill, the "feel" of the game is great :)

Platform 31 by Rodaja 2014-12-11T08:24:00

Great game! Incredibly polished for such a short timeframe!

Rare Earth by Thingo Studios 2014-12-09T22:34:00

I'm getting a server not found error when I click your download link?

Hamster Run by Gameness Monster 2014-12-10T01:05:00

Love the GFX!

Color Wheel by misto423 2014-12-10T02:05:00

Great game concept! Fewer rings/colors might make it a little easier to play/allow for increased difficulty in other places. Frequently lost lives because I clicked in the wrong place.

Super Cave In by sputnik 2014-12-11T03:51:00

Fantastic game! Very polished given the amount of time, hope you plan on continued development :)

Mind Traveller by Ogniok 2014-12-09T23:30:00

Wow, this looks great, really wish it would run on my PC :P Any chance of getting a video up?

Plankton by alpha_rats 2014-12-10T03:33:00

Not sure I understood what was going on, but I thoroughly enjoyed watching it :)

The Final Screen by uberscientist 2014-12-10T04:48:00

Fantastic art! Really loved how the tablet follows you around too- great touch, it really enhances the surrealism of the scene. As does the snowman, somehow...

The Game About Space And Bravery by Praron 2014-12-11T01:54:00

Great entry! Could see this being very fun with multiplayer!

SLUG FEST by ragtagradical 2014-12-11T01:39:00

Can't wait to see a post-compo version :)

Pixel Trapper by Vanatoth 2014-12-10T19:19:00

Brilliant use of the theme, very innovative mechanic as well. I wonder what else you could do with it, given more time?

Diametric by JFern 2014-12-10T03:39:00

The sound is intense :) Kinda had an ominous feel for me, honestly. I just know something terrible is happening when the spheres shrink away :P

Horde Mode(s) by DefectiveMelon 2014-12-09T08:48:00

Difficult but surprisingly fun for its simplicity. I love how you put all four levels on one screen in the beginnging, gave it a nice sectional feeling :)

PS: Made it to 3rd room twice, can't get any further ;)

Neon Jellyfish Heart Attack by slarrimer 2014-12-11T03:54:00

I like the mechanic of leading the jellyfishes around. Good visual aesthetics too :)

Windows Cleaner Simulator by Instant Noodles 2014-12-09T23:51:00

Cute game! Not too long, not too short, has a really oddly uplifting vibe for me.

Petite Juliet by kts_kettek 2014-12-10T01:11:00

I think the fractal isn't working properly on my computer :P
Game plays pretty well although I would do something to make combat favor the player more.

Inventory by TheMeorch 2014-12-09T23:21:00

Great game! Wish I was smart enough to make it to the end. I blame Todd.

Core by MrSun 2014-12-11T01:29:00

Great concept and execution! Perfect level of challenge for me :) The jump height and controls seemed well tuned, and I really liked your use of minimalism graphically.

From Well by Rushout Games 2014-12-10T04:31:00

Great platforming controls! Really loved the player character's design :)

Octorope by OctoTeam 2014-12-09T23:38:00

Wow, great entry! Loved the classic style/gfx and the super clever take on the theme!

One Act by Sheepolution 2014-12-11T08:48:00

Really great game! I wonder if you could combine these games into some kind of larger, jokey director career simulator?

Slam Dunkin's Beat The Crap Out Of Everybody by sP0CkEr2 2014-12-10T04:44:00

Wow so many characters! Awesome entry, love the wire-fu and the voice work is excellent!

Liberty and Justice For All* by whilefun 2014-12-10T04:39:00

Wow, so much GFX! Very well put-together "message game" genuinely jarring at some points!

LD32 — An Unconventional Weapon

Fighting Words by Clavus 2015-04-26T07:54:00

Excellent idea, perfect for the theme! With a tiny bit of polish this seems like it would make a great spelling/vocabulary game for kids.

Salt 'Em Up by DaGamesta 2015-04-21T04:29:00

love the "shake" control mechanic! Very appropriate and fun, really ties the theme into the gameplay too.

A Nuclear Crossroads by bobismijnnaam 2015-04-23T18:32:00

Very cute/well-execute game!

Savior by CarlsonAndPeeters 2015-04-21T04:37:00

"not research, just cute" <- best line of LD32 :)

Out Of Mind by Lyje 2015-04-23T18:31:00

Great game! One of the best LD entries I've ever seen, honestly. Perfect execution on the gfx, reminded me so much of old-school silent hill.

It Came From The Sea by adamwfindlay 2015-04-26T17:59:00

Great game! some of the visual effects could kick in sooner I think, as well as generally ramping up the enemies faster. If you decide to continue development I would also add some more visual feedback for the player as it is occasionally hard to figure out what's going on.

Chessboard Death Race by killthealias 2015-04-26T17:48:00

Great job getting a multiplayer game done under such constraints! Any plans to continue developing it?

Peace Machine Gun by joe 2015-04-23T18:38:00

Great idea and execution! Very original and super thematic!

Renfield Hearts Dracula by A-Flat Miner Studios 2015-04-23T18:37:00

Love the mechanics of the game and the execution/thematic are very enjoyable too. One of my favorite titles of an LD game ever for definitely.

SNIFF by dyfer 2015-04-21T04:43:00

Great game, beautiful visuals. Even without all the pretty shaders that hospital looks slick.

Radisheriff by Ourson 2015-04-23T18:34:00

Great game! If you need music for a fuller version hit me up on twitter :)

TETRATOR by Trasevol_Dog 2015-04-23T18:39:00

Retro mash-up brilliance plain and simple. Very enjoyable. For some reason the "tetris" facilities reminded me of NERV.

Get back to work! by john wasteland 2015-04-21T04:30:00

Standout work!

Destroy&Oppress by YaaZ 2015-04-26T17:19:00

Holy jiminy shit I love your graphics! Such pretty pixels! Would play any number of games in your strange world :)

LD37 — One room

Live to Die Again by FisherG 2016-12-13T22:47:00

Great entry.
I'll admit that it seems you've worked around the theme more than work with it, but it's such a solid game it doesn't matter. This would be a solid project for someone with 5 month's experience if it took them 5 months to make it.
Graphics are great, music is great, sound effects are solid sounding and have character. As djfariel said, just make it more. please :)

Shoot inside a room is DANGEROUS by Neowedge 2016-12-13T22:23:00

LOL Why is she naked?!
Loved the foley work and music, one of the best title screens I've seen this Dare. Total mood game, but I also found the shooting mechanics surprisingly squishy and fun.

#BUTERATOS by PolygonTeam 2016-12-13T22:17:00

Awesome art! Great use of a few high quality assets to elevate above a typical jam-game. Super good use of mood and theme to make the game feel cohesive; instead of distracting, the little problems inherent in a game made so fast seem like a part of the aesthetic whole.
Also loved the music, perfect counterpart to the graphics.
Even the imperfect looping felt intentional :P

The Visitors by Michalidis 2016-12-14T01:42:00

I played this for wayyyyyyy longer than I should have :P
Good work!

Mad Room by Ouro17 2016-12-13T22:39:00

is audio not included or not working?
It may be my PC (left it N/A in my rating)but I had no other problems with the app.
Very competent entry, I like the mechanics around the alt ammos and the enemy types especially :)

Don't Stop Me by breno 2016-12-13T22:32:00

A bit laggy for me too :\
Beautiful graphics; minimal but well executed. Audio is a good compliment to the overall mood.
Brutally difficult, but you knew that ;)
always started lagging once 4 or so baddies had shown up, never made it long past that :P
Still, very good entry, and truly very pretty. Especially the title screen.
Highly recommend expanding the gameplay and reapproaching as a longer game. What else might he do with his house? Where might he take it? Rare that a dare game leaves me with questions like that! :)

TOO GREAT. I absolutely love this game. The battle mode is so so so creative and fun! Overall amazing aesthetic. Also whoever wrote that description is a gifted writer. +1 star for making me laugh with just your use of capslock!

Dismembered by Felipe Osório 2019-05-13T03:58:31Z

Very polished and lovely. You may not have created the assets yourself but you showed great care and good taste in how they were used. Well executed game mechanic and one of the best takes on the theme I've seen for sure!

Coin Bois by Alchemic 2019-05-01T05:16:05Z

great game! Nice job keeping your assets simple, the result looks very polished!

Heat of the Star by mikethewayne 2019-05-13T04:24:43Z

seems like the game suffered from only being playtested by the person who made it ;) (I too am guilty of this!) Despite being a bit difficult the game is very neat, it unearths a few original ideas and has a lot of content and incredible attention to ambiance for a jam game. Loved the use of the theme as well, it reads without being obtuse, and makes perfect sense in your setting. Overall a very strong, unique submission. Hope to see more from you!

Sinner by kazuo256 2019-05-01T05:00:37Z

Great game! the mechanics of the three hit combo were satisfying. Had a little difficulty using the spells int he heat of battle sometimes, but overall very impressive, natural-feeling combat. Especially for a jam game!

DEADline by SecretPocketCat 2019-05-06T05:08:37Z

Fantastic idea, and so well put together. Particularly love the visuals, which had to serve the double purpose of looking good and being extremely clear and legible and did a wonderful job of both

Maeko's Memories by Carraka 2019-05-01T05:10:19Z

There is a lot to love about this game. Wow. Incredible art, and not just for the time crunch. I think what blows me away the most is the sound design. So So So good. Way too good for a jam game, but that seems to be the bar set all around here. 5 stars across the board. I wish I had more of them.

Dear Substance of Kin by Deconstructeam 2019-05-02T06:22:43Z

Holy shit this is incredible. The art is amazing on every front. Blown away.

Dusty by jvolonte 2019-05-02T05:37:38Z

This is the content I came here for. Honestly thought a lot about making a shooty dungeon crawler but was sure someone would do it better. glad you proved me right ;)

This is an absolute trip. I will have to force my roommate to play this with me when he is here. Just fiddling around with a couple controllers was quite fun :)

Servant to the Reaper by MediocreMonty 2019-05-13T03:42:22Z

Great entry! You did an impressive number of things very well in the space of the jam!

Rainbow Rampage - Twitch Overlay Game by Instafluff 2019-05-13T03:55:27Z

What an ambitious, crazy idea. And then, holy fuck that execution. Really great work, truly outstanding.

The Oarsman by SefrZ 2019-05-01T04:33:23Z

Solid platforming controls, really nice early-2000s newgrounds aesthetic, loved how the audio matched the visual elements in that way. The dash jump was a little unpredictable but also felt, powerful? It was fun and has a rewarding "feel" to it

MONGR by minor_gods 2019-05-01T04:51:11Z

Absolutely fantastic entry. I adored the graphics presentation, the UI was stunning. The sense of humor and general vibe throughout was incredible, and it all came off so polished. Not to mention it was just a really original and pleasant and fun game. You all really killed it.

Our Mechanical Life by qlqrcoisa 2019-05-01T04:39:59Z

Great Entry. You don't often have time to really iron out more than basic mechanics for a jam game so I honestly applaud you for focusing on your message and honing the artistic edge of your project.

Nine Lives by foxtrotluna 2019-05-01T05:45:31Z

"It's getting dark." "I'm scared." Did a jam game just make me cry? Beautiful work, as always.

This was just really fun and pretty and great. Incredible.

Save The Cat by CreepyCatdev 2020-04-21T02:27:32Z

Good job getting a boss fight into a jam game! And multiple playable characters! I liked being able to push the cat around, was surprised (in a good way) when the box broke and made me live with my decisions up to that point :P

Resquack by SorgardTeam 2020-04-21T02:37:07Z

Really great game with an excellent use of the theme and lots of nicely varied content. I was impressed how often the random generated challenges wound up being memorably fun, and the well-picked thematic content pretty much ensures every failure is more funny than frustrating. My only big note would be that one failure taking you all the way back to the start is pretty harsh ;)

How to Air by kwaku 2020-04-21T02:56:44Z

Really lovely game, outstanding art and mood :) My only note really is that I tried the stick on the balloon many times before it worked. Making that type of interaction clearer, like why it's failing (out of range vs. wrong object) would be nice

Purple Thing! by 3LSTMsInATrenchcoat 2020-04-21T03:09:36Z

really great entry. Goddamn good gamn tbh, with a little fine tuning. Probably the best direct take on the theme I've seen, and really feature complete for a jam game. Checkpoints were such a relief!
