Nice little strategy game, although it still misses a few crucial features.

Nice little strategy game, although it still misses a few crucial features.
Great mechanics and fun game!
Couldn't quite see where you were going with this.
Great take on the theme :)
Bit simple and not that fun, sadly.
Good take on the theme. Dialogue is annoyingly slow though.
The game doesn't seem to start for me. The ldgame.exe shows up in task manager, but no window is opened. Windows 7 x64.
Great concept. Bot is quite easy to fool but impressive nonetheless.
Liked it. Could've used a bit of variety.
Funny take on the theme. Not that difficult to figure out the winning strategy.
Bestest game.
Tenouttaten.
Simple. Bit tricky.
Not much in terms of gameplay, but the story and presentation makes up for it. Nice twist at the end!
Bit annoying to play, but fun concept :)
Bunnies move up and down a bit too fast. Also it's a bit of a broad take on the theme, you don't necessarily have to be a villain to keep rabbits away from your cabbages.
Great job on the graphics. Would've been nice if the dialogues moved a bit quicker.
Didn't really know what I doing.
The theme is more of a backdrop here, but the game itself is pretty solid.
Great little game. Doesn't have much of an endgame, or effects, but nicely made nonetheless.
Teleporting mechanic was pretty nice, but there's not much of a learning curve. Game is pretty hard from the start.
Quick and funny. Too bad there isn't much interactivity.
Easily one of the best titles of this jam. Great work!
Nicely done! Great little game and fits right with the game.
That was pretty fun. It'd be nice if the chicken had some kind of shadow so you could see where it'd land.
Pretty frustrating gameplay. It'd be nice if you could control the height of your jump somehow, and introduce some other obstacle-avoiding methods other than perfectly timed jumps.
The ladder mechanics are pretty nice. Had fun throwing paint on the 'art'.
@Gremlin:
I used https://love2d.org/
Essentially a Lua framework around SDL. Great for rapid prototyping and creating games like this.
Fun game, well executed formula :)
Great game, the powerup mechanic is really cool.
Doesn't seem to have much to do with the theme, but it was pretty entertaining. Enemies and hitboxes were pretty glitchy though.
Nice use of the theme. The procedural level generation was good.
It's ok. Basic platforming. Enemies are not much of a threat because of the stun mechanic. Life being represented as transparency was a bit annoying.
Wasn't very entertaining. Controls were pretty annoying too. Two stars for effort?
Great little game. Very relaxing. Too bad there's some slowdown after you planted all the trees.
Could have used a few simple instructions. Simple and straightforward game in the end.
Could've used a little explanation in the beginning, but once I got what was going on it was quite an entertaining little game. Nice graphical style too.
Great game! The puzzles are real brain wranglers.
Fun concept. Pretty straightforward game.
Pretty hard, but the death messages were fun.
Tried it with my Rift. All except for one of the shaders is really bad for Rift users, really messes up the immersion and your orientation. As for the game itself, it's quite simple but not too interesting.
Fun to see a game with the exact same title as mine ;)
Died on the second bomb and now I can't play any more. I guess that was your intention but I don't think it's too great from a design perspective, since now I can't properly test your game!
Great art. Mechanics are pretty solid too and worked well.
Pretty good for just six hours. The different blocks kept it interesting :)
Very well executed concept. Did end up dying unfairly after the game reset the timer right before I passed over 12 o'clock line, so I ended up losing all my lives in just a few seconds.
Controls are a bit stiff. Didn't really know where to go, and I couldn't really be bothered to explore every inch of a relatively bland environment. After 5 minutes I called it quits.
You set the mood quite well with the flashlight and chasing shadows, but the rest of the game made it a bit frustrating.
Well done. Movement is a bit wonky, it's a bit difficult to go in-between two blocks. Managed to find the treasure pretty quick.
Try to play this with a friend if you can. It's quite fun. :)
Nice artstyle. Gameplay is nothing too special. Got stuck a few times during room transitions.
As in Minesweeper, you have to mark the bombs using right-click. It kinda assumes you know minesweeper so that's my bad.
Nice game. Controls could be a bit better, especially the camera was a bit annoying. The 10 second revive thing got kinda tedious after a while, maybe you should made it an area effect instead of 10 seconds per body.
Game crashes the moment I try to execute LD7Engine.exe. Windows 7 x64.
Simple little game. Well done for your first LD. :)
This was a great take on the theme. Awesome job.
I don't really get the rules. I try to reach the blue square but on the third level I always end up going game over. Plus I don't really what the other blocks in the environment do.
Pretty fun game. I can't seem to get the throwing mechanic down though.
Great puzzler. The ghost mechanic isn't too new but you've made a nice variant of it.
All those kittens I couldn't save will haunt me forever :(
Well done!
Completed the game. Great art, really captures that gameboy feel. Very nice take on the theme, even though it got a bit tedious after a while. The story and the mood were well crafted :)
Straightforward game, but I can't seem to complete any of the puzzles. Even if you have a perfect run it looks like you'd be too late.
It was ok. Bit hard though, since it's pretty much a projectile spam within the first 5 seconds.
Lovely game. Hilarious idea and good execution :)
Nice concept. Simple execution. Liked it :)
It works well, surprisingly.
Bit hard, so I didn't get till the end, but the concept is pretty nice. Although having a "better camera" as an option seems kinda harsh.
Great audio, straightforward art style, and a simple and fun game mechanic. Nice job :)
Not much in terms of interactivity, but enjoyable enough to quickly skip through and see what every option results in. The art style is pretty nice but everything is hard to read at such a tiny scale.
Wonderfully done. Had to get the hang of the combat system first, but then it went ok. After pleasing three of the grannies, it seemed the zombies stopped spawning and I couldn't find the right body parts any more to complete the new requests.
Best solution is just to keep studying forever it seems :P
Cute, great art, and nice concept. Not much depth to the gameplay though.
Just excellent.
Great game, very addictive too :)
It was ok. Too bad you didn't get more done in time. It does show what you were aiming for.
Every atmospheric and amazing visuals. Very solid puzzle game too. Great design and even little things such as the wobbling animation when you try to push something off-track show the amount of polish that went into this.
Pretty hectic for it to be relaxing, but fun little game.
It was ok. Story didn't really grab me that much. Good effort though.
Well rounded game. Nice presentation. Drilling got a bit tedious (would've been nice if you could just hold the mouse button), but overall it was nicely polished.
Lovely visuals. Fun game concept, and solid execution. :)
Nice concept! Managing more than one drill is a bit hard though. Changing the drill direction could've been a bit easier.
Lovely graphics and fun game. Bit awkward to control, didn't expect something like "Sword and Sworcery QWOP" :P
The visuals are quite nice. The gameplay is ok, but it did feel like it was missing some interesting mechanic to use for moving around.
That was pretty fun. Aren't we all a little serial killer beneath the surface?
Just me? Oh.
Nice visuals, but for some reason I couldn't fire my weapon all the time. This ended up being very frustrating.
Slightly depressing, but a great piece of personal work. :)
Great alternate take on the classic snake. Pretty hard to keep up later on when you start eating people and cars en masse!
Very relaxing. Loving the art style :)
Haha, great idea and the game itself it pretty fun. Throwing dead enemies is hilarious! Only gripe is that corpses could've been a bit more distinct from their alive versions.
Quite amazing for just 48 hours! Very addictive, even when my funds exceeded the global GDP of mankind :P
The most beautiful game I've seen in this LD up till now. Great take on the theme! Lovely art and music.
Pretty relaxing. Music was a bit dull but fine. Concept itself wasn't earth shattering, but nice to play nonetheless :)
Nice concept, but yeah, there isn't a whole lot to do. It's ok :)
Managed to reach the end. That was a really solid game! Good concept and execution. The cyber enemies surprised me a few times because they were positioned right after a transition, but for the rest the level design was great. Nice work!
@mess110: are you sure you have LOVE 0.9.1 installed? The love.math library wasn't available until version 0.9.
@Flyinpig5: you should be able to override Chrome's .exe flagging.
Was pretty hard to get a good grasp on the mechanics. Tutorial wasn't too clear on it.
Well this certainly required some mental gymnastics. Managed to finish it eventually. Nice work :)
Really nice game! I like the interplay between the different species and plants. Though I was not too sure on how the planet stats actually affected anything. The collision was a bit finicky but worked ok once you figure out you can push space-travelling animals pretty much anywhere if you stay close. Great artwork too :)
Nice game. Not much variety in the gameplay, but overall it's solid.
Great art and audio. However I get stuck at the cold lifeless place. The creature there backs me in a corner, and either kills me (which doesn't restart the game or anything), or I jump over him and reach an area I can't get out of.
Great art! Too bad there's not much to the game itself.
Haha, this is great. Nice take on the theme. If all else fails, dodgy physics will save the day.
I can see where you were going with this, but it seems you were a bit overambitious.
Solid level generation. Nice twist to the standard maze game. Good job :)
Wasn't quite sure what I was doing, and a few interactions seemed buggy (water world was sending fire to other planets despite the description saying it only produced water?). Nice concept. Could've used clearer instructions :)
Didn't have anyone to play with, but I can see how it's supposed to go. Nice concept!
Not entirely sure what I was doing. But kept me entertained :P
Nice puzzling game. Didn't get past the circular one, but was fun. (oh balls, the solution to that one is literally in the screenshot...)
That was pretty fun. The start is actually the hardest part because all the enemy spawns are so close. The difficulty curve is the wrong way around :P . Nice work though.
Very nice graphical effects! Too bad there's no sound to go along with it. Was quite hard to figure out how the game is supposed to work. I had the feeling you could jump higher by timing your bounces, but that never really seemed to work that well. Also the weapon upgrades weren't explained either so those confused me too when I got them. So overall, nice game, but too bad it's lacking a lot of polish outside the graphics :)
Great work! Lovely art style and solid game mechanics. The enemies with mirrors are quite tricky to beat and usually turn things into a laser show.
The yellow guys just won't die D:
@Bastienre4: that sucks to hear. I can't actually test the OSX version here, but I've used the same steps to distribute to OSX as before (which used to work).
Pretty! Platforming and shooting mechanics were a bit glitchy (enemies left a firing pixel for a few seconds after they died?), but fun nonetheless.
Haha, one of the best takes on the theme I've seen so far. The weapon building is a very fun mechanic. The differences of the various components aren't really that obvious though. Great work!
Great little game. Solid weapon mechanic, though a bit hard to aim with it. Nice work on the assets.
Graphics and sound were pretty nice. Controls felt very rough though, could have used some polishing. The grab-n-shoot mechanic was interesting, but didn't feel it had a lot of impact.
Hehe, that was fun. Managed to get stuck at the guard on my first try because I alternated between right/wrong answers. But still reached the end later on. Graphically is nice, background music too. Voice acting was delightfully cheesy. Great job!
Pretty great game! Love the concept although the underlying mechanics could be communicated a bit better. Ended up just microwaving the whole crowd. :P
A bit too slow-paced for my taste, but great job nonetheless. Lovely art direction.
Not exactly sure what's happening, and game crashes for me on the second area. The firebomb behaviour was a bit strange. Good work, but could have used some instructions? :P
Presentation isn't too interesting, some sound or better graphics would've gone a long way. The gameplay concept is nice, you can win most levels by just spamming bullets from one side of the room since they disappear right before they come back all the way.
Pretty hectic gameplay but interesting concept. Nice art!
Strange game, took a while to figure out how it worked (yet I still don't quite understand the rules). Graphics are weirdly enchanting. Managed to get 4mg in the stomach and then things went haywire.
Very nice art style. The fighting gameplay needs a lot more work before it's really interesting, but great work nonetheless.
Great presentation, love the 80s vibe. Gameplay concept works pretty well! Collisions were very glitchy though. An aim assist (like a laser) would've been nice too.
Gameplay is a bit wonky but nice premise and presentation :)
Wasn't entirely sure what parts of the game were functional. The sprayers always seemed to focus on the front-most cat and only starting to spray the other cats once the first was out of range. The dryers also seemed to run 'out of ammo' after a second. And finally I didn't seem to lose any lives even when dirty cats reached the threshold.
Good work, but could've used some instructions :)
Instructions were a bit lacking / overwhelming and I never figured out what button I pressed to open the build menu later on. Sort of see where you were going with this idea. The first part where you collect resources could be a bit more interesting by adding interactions for collecting stuff instead of just moving over it. Good work though.
That was pretty fun but also quite unforgiving. Monsters don't seem to calm down after they're alerted. Every shot is either successful or a death sentence it seems. Lovely graphics.
Too bad you couldn't properly finish it. I sort of see where you wanted to go. The fail states aren't too clear though, I keep randomly losing and I don't hear footsteps until I'm already in the game over screen. The hacking mechanic is nice but a bit simple. Graphically speaking the assets are quite nice but the environment is too dark. Good work :)
Can't see why you thought this was a good idea for a game.
That was pretty fun. Managed to reach the end. Interesting take on the theme.
Visually quite nice. Gameplay depends a lot on luck though, but it's satisfying to see the chain-reaction unfold.
Fun game! Controls are a bit wonky and the shop upgrades not too useful, but everything was quite straightforward. Even ended up on the #2 spot after my first game :)
Nice concept, could've used a bit more depth to make it more interesting. Still, it's quite lovely for what it is.
Haha, certainly one of the more interesting submissions! Loved the concept, execution, and the physics glitching out as per usual with these types of games :P
That was pretty fun. Would be nice if you somehow got a hint on where the eagle was headed and what he might end up hitting, it was hard to keep up!
Got Dark Souls flashbacks from the abruptness of that boss introduction :P
Too bad there didn't seem to be any win state. Nicely designed boss, but the limited controls didn't leave many gameplay options. Good job though!
Nice take on the theme. Battle system seems to be a bit Undertale inspired? :P
I got a strange looking rendering glitch though, seems there's something wrong with the draw order or something (http://i.imgur.com/n4JBaXn.png).
@Mr_Fudd: thanks! You can change your mouse sensitivity using the scrollwheel btw :)
@veverichka: thanks! However it only supports Unity's native VR, which basically comes down to just the Oculus Rift. Didn't really have time to bring it over to mobile VR platforms, plus the positional tracking (which is not available on mobile) can be really useful in this game to peak around corners.
Ha, that was great!
Great take on the theme! Pretty fun.
That was quite relaxing. Except I hoped I could button-mash my wait to victory like usual in these games, but oh well :P
Humor +1 for title.
Too bad you didn't have time to further build this game, the concept is pretty nice! Tried it in my DK2. Sound would've added a lot, even if you threw in some basic stuff. A few parts were pretty janky for VR, but it was okay :)
A nice mix of snake and pacman style games. Game sometimes stops after the round ends though, and doesn't bring the menu back up (in the web version, after death or collecting last pellet).
Not a game to be playing at 3 AM :')
Really tight controls, and has a great rhythm. It's too hard to reach the end though!
Probably the most solid take on a two button movement system I've seen yet. You can move around so fluidly even with this limitation! Rest of the game is nice but ultimately lacks a bit of interesting stuff to find beyond descriptions. Hope you'll expand upon it in the future!
Btw, you can distribute your game as an executable when using LÖVE: https://www.love2d.org/wiki/Game_Distribution. Makes it a lot easier for folks!
It gets a bit too hellish even for a bullet hell after a while :P
At some point I just can't seem to keep up with the amount of blue blocks spawning.
Controls were a bit finicky, not all my move orders seemed to be followed. Levels were probably a bit larger than they needed to be, which made it a bit tedious without any nice sound or other effects to distract me. However the concept is solid, and it was pretty nice overall!
An okay concept. Controls react a bit slowly for such a fast-paced runner. Pleasing graphic style though :)
Nice puzzle concept. Tried it in my DK2. Scaling up and down is much more noticeable in VR so that's pretty fun :)
Did notice the movement was a bit floaty, and that the movement felt juddery even though my framerate was solid (discrete movement steps? You should interpolate! :O). Anyway, good job!
A pretty nice exploration experience, though it's kinda hard to stomach VRChat's movement system for longer periods. Didn't quite get the significance of the "2" besides that the portals were usually triggered near whatever two of the same object were near each other. All in all, it was pretty okay :)
Very topical :P
Sadly the random sky lasers ended up frustrating me a lot, they seem unavoidable.
Great take on the Two Button theme, and lovely art. Fun and polished!
I'm not hardcore enough to reach the end it seems. With the time limit and required speed to reach the end, it's hard to dodge other trains! Nice use of the Two Button theme. Loved the aesthetics.
Took me a while to figure out what exactly to do. I finally found one of the 'pests' the narrator spoke of. Then took a bit of thinking to figure I had to bring them back to the starting platform. Pretty simple game in the end.
Also, at first the game started in VR because I had my Oculus Rift connected. Sadly it's not really playable in that mode since you can't see the mouse cursor. I'll just assume you never figured to turn off the VR module in UE4 :P
Well, that was certainly one of the weirder entries. The music kinda drives me insane after a while :P
Nice gameplay concept, though it usually ended up being frustrating that after failing a jump, you couldn't really try again until you restarted because you shrunk too much.
Well, what is there to say... it's a dude on fire :)
Nice visuals, but not much game to back it up. And no sound effects either. Nonetheless it's a nice starting point if you're ever going to expand upon it.
Took some time to get used to the controls, but in the end they worked quite well. Nice take on both themes! Hoped something more spectacular would happen at the end after reading that game description, but oh well. The tree looks a lot like the Grow Home tree, I'm assuming that's not a coincidence :)
Short, but polished. Didn't do much with the theme but it was pretty nice.
Lesson learned: don't put me in charge of people's lives :v
Well executed, well presented, and fun to play. Has a very polished feel to it too!
Took a bit to get the hang of, but in the end quite simple. Would be nice if it had a bit more depth to the gameplay :)
Atmospheric, but controls are very floaty and the camera view is a bit too restricted for the speed you're moving at.
Lovely game. Managed to finish a blind playthrough. Second level made sense once I found that there was a jump button :P
That was pretty fun. Interesting way of controlling the planet as a weapon.
That was really cool! Great take on the theme and I love how frantically the world collapses on itself at the end. Lots of enemy variety too. Hats off to you!
Finally got around to trying this with my Rift. Fun movement system! Didn't manage to get very far though, and every time I got send back to the start I got stuck in the floor, firing my jets didn't help. Had to restart the game a few times to keep playing.
Sorry, Oculus Rift only! My goal was to try out the Oculus Avatar SDK this LD (that's why it has the fancy ghost hands).
Really interesting take on the clicker game concept. I like how you have to manage your reserve of protons/electrons/neutrons before producing atoms at scale.
Pretty simple but the 2nd round caught me off guard :v
Very nice graphics. Gameplay is okay, but not much more than a standard planet defence type thing. Could benefit from some turret and enemy variety!
