Short and nifty... great soundtrack... whoever did the sounds for this must be some really attractive dude. I bet he gets all the girls.

Very easy on the eyes and ears, and very difficult. Great job!
Really enjoyed it! Cool idea fitting the theme, good music and very atmospheric, well done!
Nifty little growth game. Took me two tried to get through (I got shot too many times on the farm stage before I realized I could jump up over the farm house). Really did like the slightly unsettling music.
There were a few inconsistencies mechanics that were confusing though. First, movement speed seemed to work oddly. Sometimes walking became incredibly slow, second most smaller enemies are consumed on touching them from any orientation, but the soldiers in the last scene won't be consumed if you jump on them. Not sure why but with the slow horizontal movement sometimes I thought I was going to get shot too much before I could get off the soldiers and eat them from the ground level.
I needed some tries to understand the tutorial, because I didn't see the "food" or how to eat it (^^U) but when I understood this, it was cool. Good job!
Atmospheric, but controls are very floaty and the camera view is a bit too restricted for the speed you're moving at.
I've always enjoyed the "eat to get bigger" style games so this was fun. As has been mentioned controls were a bit floaty but otherwise nice job!
Interesting mechanic and a bizarre mood (in a good way). You do need to work on your input and feedback loop, wasnt very clear when i ate or got hurt. Also your controls are very floaty and jumping earlier on results in you almost floating off. With alittle extra time and polish this could be a real gem. Keep up the good work.
Must say the controls took away from my enjoyment a bit, and it took me a while to figure out that the red floaty thing was actually an arrow indicating an enemy, and that everything else is edible.
But on my 3rd or 4th time through I started getting the idea, and it is a cool idea! Cool sounds, and lots of cool little surprises along the way.
Unfortunately I didn't finish it, but if you work on this a bit more and get the controls tighter please let us know! I'd love to see how it ends.
Controlls felt off, but still cool
I like growth games, but this game had few flaws. So let's get into bit of criticism:
If you don't check tutorial, you will end up dead (interesting, but misleading design choice of arrow pointing at enemy instead of food). Controls behave wierd (I suppose that collider is set exactly to barrier pixels, meaning when you hit for example pixelarty rock, you will get stuck on pixel edge and get slowed down). What I mean by this is that sometimes you are slow, sometimes fast. Also you can sometimes get lost (and even killed) because you can't see enough of space around you. The art style looks nice but bit inconsistent (varying sprite resolutions, mixing 3D and 2D [in main menu], main menu was not in the same style as the rest of the game).
Lastly I don't know if this is bug or not, but sometimes when I touched some not marked anemone, I got hurt. But still, nice entry.
Good game concept, I think the graphics were nice. I thought it was pretty unfair when trying to land because you usually can't see what is on the ground, and more often than not you'll get damaged. I didn't get very far but it was neat to play.
i think the camera is a little close, cant see much more than my player, when i jump its likely to land on an enemy for low visibility, i don't know why but in the second level (with the insects) I cant move without jump and ... i like the graphics and the music! nice entry!
I'm having the same issue. I jumped and never really knew where I'd land. The music creates a cool mood.
I also had the same issue with the jumping, but I liked the music and graphics. Well done :)
Fun and difficult little game, I enjoyed it.
**What you did well**
The sprites worked well and for whatever reason, I actually liked the camera filter that was applied. The music was nice and I think that the core ideas were good.
**What you could improve on**
The movement... The ground had no friction which made it very hard to stop the character. The jumping was also extremely floaty and meant I could get through huge chunks of the level by jumping across.
Overall though, it was a nice game and could become even better with improved movement.
Nice graphics, they all felt cohesive within a single style. The controls felt really unresponsive and sometimes buggy, maybe the gravity should be increased and the maxspeed / acceleration tweaked. Along with this maybe you needed a jumping animation? I liked the idea of the simple arrow / no arrow interface for identifying npcs its clean and allowed a variety of creatures without further explanation.
Don't really understand why the jumps are so "floaty" and I think the camera should also be further away as right now it makes it really hard to see the enemies coming.
On the plus side I liked the general atmosphere and background music.
Really like the game. The arts and the musics really create the atmosphere for each level. Love the part with the human AI trying to shoot you. The 360 spin no scope shots from those AI were definitely effective.
Something I have to criticize, like most already pointed out, the control was very unresponsive and buggy, which I was very frustrated. Maybe the genetic disorder affected the Tardigrade's movement, that why it move so weirdly.
Also there was a problem I got into when I ate too much :( glitch.gif
Overall, I think you guys did a great job!
Good entry here! Anyway i didn't was allow to eat the human! Maybe it was a bug (web version). Anyway, good mechanics and cool graphics! Well done! :)
Good experience overall, and the transition to bigger and bigger surroundings was done well. I would have liked a little more speed on the tardigrade, and having the soldiers on the 4th level spawn under the tardigrade was a bit annoying.
