I liked this game, nice gameplay and graphics make a nice challenge.

I liked this game, nice gameplay and graphics make a nice challenge.
Reminds me of Mario Party, loved the animations and simple controls!
This is a great game, loved all the mini games :)
Nice game! I liked how you stayed true to the theme and literally only used 2 buttons
Loved the mix of tamogotchi and pokemon. Battles were a little slow and you ccouldn't command them but other than that, great game!
Great artwork! loved the style of it all.
Interesting take on rock paper scissors but I can#t see how it fits to the theme.
I like the idea but there needs to be more time and more things to collect (scarves maybe?)
I like the idea; a reverse tamogotchi but it needs more content.
Nice game but needs better audio, great with friends!
Really nice concept imo, audio and an advantage to being big would be cool.
Really hard but really nice music and visuals
Please say if it is an android game. Also, add a windows link pls
I like it, but it needs more gameplay and less text.
I really liked this, it showed how genetic evolution worked and kept a challenge.
Good game, fun to play and an interesting concept, well done!
Interesting game there, just the option to remove placed buildings would be great (I'm flooded with farms)
I got an exception in the web gl: ran out of memory
Interesting idea but it wasn't obvious whether the game you play was going to be good or bad and randomly,I got -subs.
Very enjoyable game, I liked the concept of the water.
I liked the way of movement, I've never seen anything like it. Some music would be nice though.
I like the snake-like game and how you could kill things with your rainbow.
Nice work, it's pretty hard but looks and sounds nice.
Interesting concept with a tree that progresses with you
I really like this, the graphics are neat, the idea is amazing and it fits well with the theme. I still kind of feel like a tutorial would've helped me figure out how to start out. Overall, very good game!
Nice game in general, loved building up everything on my snowball.
Nice game, liked playing through it. Maybe add more humour if you are going for that category.
Interesting but the voice would talk over itself.
I like the game, level 9 was extremely difficult though.
I liked planting stuff. I didn't like watching stuff.
Really nice game overall, loved the combo possibilities.
Loved this, fitted great to the theme and showed what you can fit in 72 hours.
I really liked this concept, nice!
Enjoyed this a lot :) quite nice
Really nice game, loved the idea and the very two touch controls suit it well.
I like it but I don't think shrinking was used as much as growing.
I would have liked the text to be in the bubble as well as more stages.
Interesting little game, nice tunes as well.
Nice game, I like the art style but couldn't hear the music
Nice game. I enjoyed the music and the gameplay was great.
Nice game, fun concept of creating alien trees :)
Haha, the animations are pretty good for a 3 day jam and I like the concept.
Love the art style and audio but it needs more mechanics.
Interesting little game, multiplayer would make this pretty fun.
Nice game, enjoyed it and I've never seen this idea used before. To improve: make it easier to stay alive, simultaneous orbs made it hard to collect them.
Really nice game, love the music and textures as well as the references to star wars and half life ;)
Nice game, loved the motion blur and lense flair but it needs to be more to the theme.
Nice game, I liked the concept and the ideas but I didn't see the humour or the theme as the buy menu was more than one button.
Nice game but please improve on me having to spam the buttons. Also, a goal would be nice.
Haha, love the concept and gameplay!
This was a nice new concept for a game! Gratz!
Nice use of both themes and it works on mobile :)
Nice idea, this would be great for teaching people to type.
Nice look to this game, loved it very much.
I couldn't figure out how to play this thing
Loved the concept! Made it simple without losing difficulty, That's hard to do nowadays.
Really neat puzzle mechanic, I liked how you could bump everything through the whole process again in case you muck up.
It's a cool game, I liked it when I knew how to play but I feel it needs a win state and sound to improve it.
I quite liked the take on the classic but I feel that bullets from the enemies should break blocks too to keep consistency.
It's a nice idea, there was a bug I found where if you hold down a and d at the same time, the digging noise went louder, good ideas though
Nice graphics and music but I felt like the shapeshift theme could have been used more.
I found this quite fun to be honest, I liked the idea of the intel files as a way of scaring the child.
Nice game! Enjoyed the plot
nice escape the room feel to this and the hand drawn graphics make it better! Well done!
I really liked the wall-sliding mechanic in this game, thought it was really cool when I got to punch dinosaurs. But, I couldn't figure out how there was a theme.
I really like the idea but I didn't really know how to fight the bad guys
Really nice core idea hear, enjoyed it. I liked how the circle could float and how the triangle could dive. There were a few bugs; such as two layers of music being played at the same time and the game freezing when I die but it was a good concept.
This could potentially be a great idea! Maybe with a little bit more than just a tutorial, this could be a great game.
It was a nice idea, but I feel a little nauseous now xD
I really like the idea and the animation is great. I still feel the plane is a little hard to drive.
I really liked the music and the idea of a rhythym action game for shapeshifting, nice!
Really neat idea right here, reminds me a lot of a programme on TV called "hole in the wall"
I Really like this game, I thought the concept was amazing and I really liked how you carried the abilities over. Put it on steam and take my money xD
I really like the core concept but in this type of game I feel like having a death system would work better.
I felt as if it lacked in difficulty and the shapes all had the same texture but I liked the original idea of it.
I loved this xD deaad after the "Hammer Time"
Neat little game idea, I like how shapeshifting can not be controlled in this type of game.
I really like this, the shapeshifting mechanic is used extremely well and I like how the villagers follow the human and run from the wolf. However, there was a slight bug with the counter as a villager got stuck in a stone and the counter kept getting higher (up to 100 and then went back to 90)
Enjoyed the graphics and the feel of this game! Well done!
Like the art style of this game but the up arrows won't work
It's fun but I really don't know what I'm doing XD
Doctor... Changing my metabolism... I'm dead xD great game
Some platforms have strange hitboxes but if you try to jump off the centre of the platform, it should work
Thanks for trying everyone, I may update the hitboxes in an updated version as many see this as a really big problem.
thanks man xD
thanks bro
Thanks, I really would change the sticking to walls when junping but it's a bit beyond me (creating an entirely new physics engine)
thanks guys! if I ever do attempt something like this again, I kno what to do and what not to do.
*know
I feel so happy now. I am officially a hero to a mouse. But, seriously, great humour xD
Nice, short game. Too, improve, I would suggest that you add a way to move forward/backward (camera movement was quite slow)
Nice idea there, I liked how you constantly change shape thus meaning time is everything
I love how you don't directly influence the actions of the player, but at the same time, you do by shapeshifting. Really innovative idea there, nice!
Haha loved Plumber Peat and Princess Maria xD
Interesting mechanic, I like the level design, especially level 2 and the first hurdle.
Really cool idea, enjoyed it!
I really liked this game, I liked the graphics and the fact the game pauses as you open up the transformation menu.
nice idea for an arena like game but I got stuck on wave 2
I couldn't figure out how to transform but I really liked the movement in this game.
Good game, but could use a slight zoom out so that the player can see upcoming obstacles.
Nice game, really innovative idea there
It was nice, I liked the base premise of it but I felt it wasn't hard enough.
I actually really like this but I can't turn around!
I like how fast the AI were and I loved the music and the graphics. Great game.
Nice idea, probably could do with some sound though
Good game, good audio too
Really cool game. I enjoyed the idea and I think it ties nicely into "small world"
The graphics and the audio were great, the animations were really well done for a 72-hour jam. The gameplay, although challenging was also extremely rewarding. So well done on that.
To improve, I would say to let the player start with one hamster so that they can get used to the game before it goes completely chaotic and they don't know what to do. Also, I didn't know how to drag things out of the fridge at first and so I failed a few times before I figured it out.
But overall, really well-polished game. Well done!
(Also, I would really appreciate a rating [here](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/planet-dominion))
Nice game, I enjoyed it.
**What you did well**
The core idea of the game was very good. I really liked the idea of turning to shoot ships and the high score was a nice addition (1600). I also thought the choice in music suited the game and the graphics weren't too bad either.
**How you could improve**
At first, I liked the idea of the ship's movement with each rotation turning the ship 45 degrees but I later realised it could be exploited by using left, space, left, space and so on. Maybe you could use the mouse to rotate it or something to make it a bit harder.
Overall, a nice game that fits well with the theme.
(Also, I would really appreciate a rating for my game [here](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/planet-dominion))
Really neat idea! I quite liked the core concept of the game with capturing other minions. I also like the idea of having a maximum amount of minions as this now means that a player cannot simplify revive everything that they have killed but instead, they have to decide what they want and what they don't want.
To improve, the only real advice I can give is to add a few more sprites as I only encountered two different types of enemies.
But overall, great game and well done.
Thanks for the feedback! I definitely agree with you on the durability and the invisibility. I think a few seconds to prevent "spawn-killing" would be useful.
Hi, thanks for the feedback guys! It counts the number of planets captured by each team at the end. I decided to stay away from using the third dimension for movement as I always found that it can make shooting other ships extremely difficult in other games due to all the other axis of rotation.
@teslov Thanks for the extremely detailed feedback! And congratulations on winning first try! Many people can't ever finish the game...
Haha, just found your game by typing in the ID one lower than mine (mine's 21640, yours is 21639). I really like this game and the core concept of helping people on a little planet. Really nice visuals and I enjoyed the music.
Fun and difficult little game, I enjoyed it.
**What you did well**
The sprites worked well and for whatever reason, I actually liked the camera filter that was applied. The music was nice and I think that the core ideas were good.
**What you could improve on**
The movement... The ground had no friction which made it very hard to stop the character. The jumping was also extremely floaty and meant I could get through huge chunks of the level by jumping across.
Overall though, it was a nice game and could become even better with improved movement.
Very fun game! I enjoyed it. I liked the achievements that you could get as well as the idea of having a sort of sand-boxy game.
Really enjoyed this game! the whole idea of the snow globes was clever and I really liked the graphics. The audio created a great mood of curiosity and wanting to know what was happening. I got the good ending first but then I wanted to know what would happen in the other ending. Wow.
To improve, the only thing I can say would be to perhaps have a little more deviation from the same tasks. Maybe the player could visit a shop?
Overall, really nice game and I hope I can see more like this in the future!
This is seriously one of the best LD games I have ever seen and probably ever will see. The commands are easy to use and understand, you somehow made the lag a part of the game and the game is always being advertised due to the fact that the site always shows the active streams.
It doesn't require a separate download or even another website which makes the game available to a wider variety of users. Plus, the users will never have to update a client as all the updates happen within the stream.
I can't even state how many times I have played this game. Really enjoyed it and I hope that I can see more games like this in the future.
Haha, what a great game! I loved the use of dialogue and the plot that unravelled by speaking to the people colonising the planet. I thought the main story was quite funny with the guy trying to flirt with the girl but failing miserably and the ending was amazing :D.
Only downfalls were grammar and audio. Some footsteps sounds would have been nice or some music that plays for each character could have added to the humour aspect.
But overall, great game!
Nice game! there was some really good content in here.
**What you did well**
I really liked the art style of this game. The beginning battle sequence was pretty cool and I really liked the combat system. The music and dialogue were also well thought out and the overall feel of the game was great.
**What you could improve on**
It was unclear at first which elements were effective against each other. Although it becomes clear over time, perhaps the enemies you fight could drop a few hints? Also, I felt like the fighting could be quite random at times as you have no idea in which order the enemy will place their elements. This is a minor thing though as I'm sure there are ways of guessing.
Overall, a great game idea with a great combat system.
Nice game! I quite liked the concept of trying to be a rat and trying to get food and such.
**What you did well**
Nice graphics, atmosphere and audio. The music really suited this kind of game. I liked the idea of having different colours for each person.
**What you could improve on**
The game is titled "A Rat's Story" but there was not much of a story element there. I also got to a point in the game where the rat went off screen and I assume that was the end of the game but it wasn't very clear.
But overall, nice game and great concept.
Nice ideas and graphics. The turn-based style of this game worked well with the art style. At first, I was wondering if a tutorial would be needed but after a few minutes of gameplay, I realised that the mechanics are easy enough to understand on their own.
To improve, maybe just explain a bit in-game of how to play.
Hey, I quite enjoyed your game.
I liked the graphics and the music. I think the bright colours definitely worked for this sort of game. I also liked the animation that you had where the hexagon would come up if you selected it.
To improve, I would say that you need to answer your question more of "What’s more important in your little world, cash or love?". The "flowers" that you created served no purpose whatsoever and so the player was left with generating cash. Maybe an ending could be made where if you cover the world in flowers, the game ends with some message about love? Just an idea.
Overall, a fun little game with a cookie clicker vibe.
(Also, could you play [my game](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/planet-dominion))? thanks)
I liked this game a lot, it was really fun.
**What you did well**
The graphics were very nice and the gameplay was really good. The enemies had the perfect balance between too hard and too easy and the items in the game were great. I also liked how some of the characters would trade items and I thought the story was quite fun.
**How you could improve**
***ADD SOUND!!!*** I may have rated this higher if it just had any music playing in the background. Humans have five senses. At least use two of them!!
Jokes aside, it's definitely something you would want to consider in the future. Also, giving the characters that follow you a use would be nice. Something funny, like being able to throw them over hills as a form of bait.
But overall, a really nice game that has great potential.
(Also, I spent a long time writing this and would appreciate a review. You can play my game [here](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/planet-dominion))
Hey, I enjoyed your game and could really see the amount of effort that you put in.
**What you did well**
Really nice visuals, the sprites were good and I actually quite liked the space background.
Gameplay wise, the animals didn't have any clipping issues and moved around freely. The new game, save and load buttons were nice additions to the game as well.
**What you could improve on**
Some music could have really made this game better. I would've also liked to see a shorter waiting time for cash. I felt like I was waiting forever to afford an animal. Lower waiting times and music paired together could make this game very engaging.
Sometimes when I purchased an animal, the game would mistake that for a click to place an item and will throw meat onto the ground. It didn't majorly affect gameplay but it is just something to watch out for.
Overall, nice game and really nice concept.
(Btw, I took some time writing this review and would really appreciate it if you could review mine [here](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/planet-dominion))
I really enjoyed this game. I liked the idea of escaping the day-to-day world by completing a little puzzle.
**What you did well**
I really liked the art style of this game. I think that pixels can somehow carry a greater message than games with hyper realistic art. The decision to blur out the cubicles that were not in use was a good idea too. I also liked the animations (especially the one at the end!). The clue for the puzzle in the title meant I wasn't stuck trying to make random words.
**What you could improve on**
Obviously, the game was REALLY short. I understand that you had to make this in a short amount of time but I would've really like another scene (even just an ending).
Overall, a nice little game with a good message.
Hey! Nice game! I understand that you've already received a tonne of feedback so I'm going to try and go detailed here.
**What you did well**
The graphics worked really well. Your choice of colours created a great atmosphere and "earthy" look. The sprites were really well done, I liked the roar animation even though sometimes the head of the fox-wolf-thing would come off. The ambient music worked really well with this game and somehow gave a sense of the power that this beast had.
I also really liked the last room. I had to go to the comments to figure out how to beat it but when I read the comment that said: "you can kill them all, but should you?" it really made me realise the true meaning of the game. Loved it.
**What you could improve on**
Apart from the head sometimes coming off, one other problem I had was with the last room. At first, I guessed that I had to attack the switch but it wouldn't work. It took me a bit of time before I realised you could attack the bridge with the people on it. The ending also seemed a bit abrupt with just the logo coming up but I guess if you had more time, you could always change it.
The only other thing I can say would be to make it longer but I enjoyed it as it is anyway.
In conclusion, this is definitely one of the best games I have played this LD. And I hear this is your first? A very good quality game, I enjoyed it.
The game had an interesting idea. I liked the idea of the twitter feed that could give you clues as to which city you should attack. However, I did feel like some of these clues did not really show me which country was to be attacked. When it said "Tutankhamen would have been a better leader" and "our economy is failing" I thought it was Egypt but it wasn't on the map.
All in all the game was good but if anything a little difficult.
The orbit mechanic certainly took a while to get to grips with but worked perfectly when I understood it. The graphics were wonderful and I liked the way the shadows were cast. The audio also fit the game pretty well.
The planet collisions seem a bit unpredictable and I don't actually know which directions they will go, an idea would be to have like a pre-trail, showing the player where the planets are about to go to. Another idea for a future release would be to get rid of the ability to create planets (aside from the planets that are created for you) and that way you could create a scoring system based solely on how many planets there are.
Overall, it's a great game with some interesting mechanics, well done.
Wow. That was a very nice pixel art style there, I really liked that. The gameplay was amazing and unique and I loved the pinball-esque gameplay. The animations were hilarious as were the cutscenes.
I don't have much to say for this except that it would be nice if there were a bit more "juiciness" to it. I would've liked the ball to look more pixelated and for a few more sound effects when bouncing off of walls and such
But overall, a really neat game and one you should be proud of :).
The level design was really good and I loved the look of all the sprites in the game. The concept of the more money you have, the more you weigh was very interesting and I thought it was generally executed very well.
I would've liked a button to drop some gold; there were parts of the level which were impossible with certain amounts of gold. I also think that the jumps at the top of the stage should've been easier when you had more gold because I was convinced that they were impossible. Your score is based on how much gold you have so you shouldn't punish the player for taking too much gold at the beginning.
But overall, an interesting game with a really nice feel to it, well done.
This was an interesting game and it had a concept that I'd never seen before, I liked the idea that consuming multiple potions would make you grow even more and I loved the thud sound as well as screen shake that you got when you were massive. The soundtrack was very nice and the sound effects were funny.
###How to improve:
Obviously, there's some room for improvement with the graphics of the person but aside from that, I'd recommend making the foot move faster as to make the game faster paced and harder to give the "late for school" feel to it.
But overall, it was a great and hilarious game, well done.
@lojioji Thankyou so much for your feedback! I was wondering how to stop the player from constantly hitting their head against the top blocks but your comment just gave me the idea of making the material slippery so that the player can keep moving horizontally, despite hitting their head.
This was a really nice entry with smooth animations, nice sprites and a good use of "game feel". I loved that you had controller support (which I used). The gameplay was unique and great and I really liked the dual analogue idea.
The sound effects were definitely not the greatest and I felt that this game would be better with shadows and a bit of differentiation in lighting, with darker lighting in the harder parts of the map.
But overall, an enjoyable game!
This is one of those rare games that creates a really good sense of mood. The simple music, water splashes and gentle movement of the boat made me feel as if I was actually sailing. The mechanics were great and I liked the way you had to move the crates with a sort of elastic band feel.
Try and throw the player off a bit more. Have a massive storm halfway through the journey or make the boat swing for no reason, this would make the gameplay feel more interesting. Also, when you have enough crates, the A and D buttons barely do anything. Maybe you could consider increasing the rotation speed?
In conclusion, an interesting game and I enjoyed it very much.
The idea was good and I've certainly never seen any7thing like it before, the concept fit well with the theme.
Try and export the game in a different way so that we don't have to install the game maker installer, it didn't feel right to be going through such a long process for this type of game. The graphics weren't incredible and could've done with a bit of work and a tutorial would've been nice because I couldn't figure out how to wash the laundry.
But overall, a neat little game with some unique concepts.
You made a great tank game that had nice graphics and a smooth feeling to it. The tanks and turrets had a very nice ai and I did not experience any issues with them shooting me.
The sound effects were slightly limited and I didn't feel like they fitted the game. You could also perhaps introduce screen shake and particles when the bullets hit walls to enhance the graphical impact. In terms of gameplay, you could have the bullets bouncing off the walls to make it harder to dodge and make movement more of a key component in gameplay.
But other than that, a great game! :D
You've created a game with nice graphics and soundtrack that fits well into the theme. The camera moved very smoothly and the jumping was perfect.
Maybe a post-ld version could include more of a difference in level? All the levels seemed to have exactly the same format just with different clones spread about. Also, I found one tactic that seemed to work a little too well was jumping and shooting because the clones didn't have enough time to shoot, maybe you could change the delay?
But overall, a nice game.
A really nice game, I think the first time that I've ever played that involves using a hairdryer as a weapon :D
The graphics were really clean and carried an obvious Winter theme. The sound effects also fitted well with the game. I didn't have a chance to try the co-op but from what I've seen it looks rather fun.
I kept clicking out of the window because I couldn't see where my cursor was. A crosshair for this sort of thing would be nice. I also think the ability to carry multiple weapons would be nice as well as a melee weapon such as a shovel.
But overall, a great game!
I really liked how the keyboard control scheme was set out for this game, I actually remembered most of the actions after I did the tutorial. The graphics and animations were really neat too, especially the main menu!
Perhaps make the additional tasks (drinking, wiping sweats etc) slightly less frequent in order to allow the player to eat more hot dogs.
But overall, a really great game that felt well polished.
Nice game, I liked the inventory system you had implemented and the humour was great too. TO improve, I'd recommend looking at a better implementation of a collision system (you seem to just be moving them the opposite direction to what they were moving)
You created a nice little game with smooth animations and some pretty interesting sprites. I was rather impressed at how you managed to get so much trash on screen with their own colliders and such yet my game ran at high performance. The soundtrack was okay too.
First of all, clarify the goal of the game inside the game. I had to tab back to the ld page to find out what it was that I was supposed to do. Second of all, program the waste bin in such a way that it doesn't require all of the trash, just maybe 90% of it, this stops the player from going on some wild chase to find that one last piece of trash.
But overall, a nice little game.
Really nice graphics and audio, the "feel" of the game was great and felt really smooth. The mechanics were interesting and I liked the way the camera worked. To improve, I think that a life system would work well as I seemed to die before even touching the ships. But all in all, great game!
I really liked the idea of moving a character whilst closing windows on a desktop. Great use of the combination of mouse and keyboard. The idea was certainly innovative and I also liked the time-saving adverts.
Make it just a bit easier; I kept dying because I do not have inhuman reactions. Also, the aesthetic of the man running on the bottom of the screen did not fit the rest of the game. Perhaps you could use another window which we have to move around?
In conclusion, a very neat concept turned into a funny game.
A hilarious game which was very fun and had outstanding graphics. The concept was unique and unlike anything I'd ever seen before.
I'd personally recommend making the game slightly harder. The enemies felt relatively light when they landed on the boat and some barely even moved it. I would've really loved the whole boat to have rocked when something landed on it. Also, the up/down keys didn't seem to do much, just made the boat vibrate. It'd be nice if the left and right keys tilted the boat but the up and down moved it.
It definitely felt polished and created a great sense of mood.
A very neat concept here. I liked how the islands sort of flew into each other, thus creating a bigger island and more enemies.
The idea was very good but I felt that it could be better if you were to alter the collisions so that I can't walk off the grass and onto the rock. It would also be nice if you could have multiple weapons so that that the player has a difference in gameplay as the game goes on. Overall, however, a great game.
The graphics were really nice as were the sound effects. The concept of this game is awesome and I loved the idea of each window showing a different level. One thing I thought was amazing was the idea of being able to jump on top of the other characters. That blew my mind completely and was REALLY clever. Well done
At some parts, I felt there were too many windows. Maybe only have up to four? It gets really cluttered otherwise.
Overall, whilst I was expecting a rip-off of "window frame" I got one of the best games I've played this LD. Congratulations.
Very neat concept and executed very well. I liked the idea of the golden asteroid as it had an interesting spin on the game. The voxel style seemed to work very well for this type of game.
There didn't seem to be a way to get rid of the debris. I also didn't like the gauge because it was rather instant and I didn't get the feeling of the ship gradually getting worse. Perhaps a more interesting approach to it would be to make the spaceship slower with more asteroids and have certain types of debris that can kill the player, meaning that the more debris, the slower the player, the easier it is to die.
A really nice game, it feels very polished and I really like the amount of juiciness it has with screen shake and such, great work!
Very funny game and you can tell this has roots from real life. The only criticism I have is that it felt a bit repetitive and at some points, I was literally just tapping the keyboard. An animated screen with characters would be a nice touch.
Hi all, thanks so much for all the feeback! As with the issue of getting stuck in walls, I believe you mean that when you go to the bottom of the room you cannot see the player? I did that to show how the player is hiding behind the walls but I see now that it just adds confusion so in the future, I'll remove that.
@drevilbrain Yeah I found that after I'd already released it  the shaders are just the default I believe (unity) but to get the textures to react to light, I had to switch the lighting mode on the material. I also added the flicker using [perlin noise.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perlin_noise)
Neat idea, I found no bugs in this game whatsoever. The core mechanics are all there and in place and I feel like there is a lot you can do with this. The sound and music were great but the visuals could do with a little improvement. At the end of the day though, it's a game made in 72 hours so you can't expect much. Had a lot of fun playing this, well done!
I've watched a lot of talks about a subject you're probably familiar with; that is game feel/juice. I feel like this game is a perfect example of what game feel is and how it makes a game better. I loved the particle effects that you've created for this game, they really make it pop and feel alive. I also thought the shield "snapping" to a position was good as well as it made it feel more fluid and prevented the distraction of having a wobbling hand. I liked the game, nice and simple, it reminded me a bit of the battle against Undyne in undertale.
Nice graphics, I like how even though the art was drawn by your kids, it still blends pretty seamlessly into the rest of the world. I like how the monsters launch the apples so that there is more of a reason to get closer to them and not avoid them altogether. The jazzy music actually fits really well with this so I like that. To improve, I'd say adding either a health bar or checkpoints would be nice. It gets frustrating having to start over again and although this is seen a lot in the roguelike genre, the demographic for this type of game would typically be younger and the difficulty should probably be eased as such. Also, I see that you added a restart buttpn but it's so small I missed it the first few refreshes! But it's very original and I like that.
It's definitely got something. I liked the polygon graphics and I found the smoke particles on the main menu to be particularly cool. I feel like maybe the controls should be explained before you start? I only found them by pressing exit and that was only so I could check to see if they were on this page. I liked that the animals could attack the asphalt but I feel like they should be able to attack the humans too (did this happen? I saw a human die at one point but not sure how). The music was great and I loved the bunny sound effect that I heard from digging up the road.
I always enjoy little games like these. To start, I loved the CRT display look and found it very fitting. I feel like although the art was relatively simple, this effect made it stand out more and feel like a classic RPG. The audio was very good, providing clear feedback for what the player was doing and what was happening on screen and the music also felt very fitting for this kind of game. The only way I can see this being improved short term is if there was some sort of walking animation. I see that you've only got very small sprites anyway so you could probably get away with 2 frames here but I feel like this tiny detail would add a lot. Overall, nice work! I hope to see more games like these.
Probably one of the best games I've seen so far. The graphics were incredible, I really like the art style of this game. The puzzles were incredibly clever and enabled me to have the eureka moment when i finally figured them out. The audio was great too and added atmosphere to the game. In terms of what to improve on, the only thing I can name is the annoying elevator sound  but I've seen other people have already mentioned that before me.
Nice work, I hope to see more like this in the future.
It's a good concept and great execution. I liked the little voice notes that were recorded, added some immersiveness to the game and made me chuckle. The art's great and I loved the music. The only thing I can pick oout wrong with this is giving the man the food seemed a bit difficult to do without any sort of explanation. Eventually I figured out that I had to bring the bucket over and fill it up but I didn't even know what the bucket was for originally. Perhaps a short explanation just for that bit would make this better. There's definitely an element of humour here. I loved the "turn it off and on again" moment
Keeping the level alive is certainly a novel idea and I liked how the enemies could destroy the level. The graphics were good and I liked the sprites picked. I did find there were a couple of bugs, the dash attack will keep going until it hits something which ended in me going across the map multiple times. At one point I had negative amounts of blocks and I would also occasionally get stuck in blocks. I appreciate you probably had negligible time to fix any bugs however and I see a lot of potential here!
First of all, loved the audio. The music was giving me some portal 2 vibes and I love that game so well done. I especially loved the little shutter sound during the title sequence, it made this game seem very professional. Gameplay wise, it wasn't too bad. The puzzles were easy enough to do once you knew that you had to keep the line in the white box but I didn't know to do that until I read the description on itch. Maybe you could make a tutorial just for the basics of each one? The only puzzle I had a problem with was the maze. There was no fullscreen button for this game and I have quite a high resolution monitor so the actual window was very small fir me and it was difficult to quickly move the mouse through the maze. Lastly, I loved the graphics and art style. It definitely gave a feeling of having a sort of apocalyptic mood. All in all, great game and I hope to see more like it!
I see! Thank you for that and I'll have another go at it.
Really enjoyed this game! The art style is amazing and I loved all the fine details that you added such as the backgrounds and dust from walking. Only thing I can think of to improve is if there was a way you could get the dinosaur to jump forward to hit the egg at a fast speed sideways. Could be an interesting mechanic for this game.
But seriously keep it up, this is probably one of the best-looking games I've seen so far.
Wow that was amazing! I really liked how you incorporated audio into this game as the ship's radar. The graphic style is simple yet effective and the art looks amazing. I don't think I've ever played anything like it! In terms of how to improve, I don't have much but I will say that I wasn't sure at the beginning what all the icons were supposed to represent so there's that. Also, the flashing power symbol when it got low was very confusing, maybe make it flash in a way that it's "on" longer than "off" so that we can still read the metre.
Very much liked this, the sound effects were good and funny "nyum nyum nyum" and it was very clear to me what it was that I had to do. The graphics were also decent and the 2D in a 3D world style worked well. To improve, I'd say please shorten the amount of time that food starts appearing on the conveyer belt towards the beginning. That would make this game more playable to me.
I must say that I actually quite enjoyed this little game. I loved the splat effect that was there for when an enemy got destroyed and all the sprites looked great too. The uppercut was a cool idea but because it can attack enemies walking as well as flying, it sort of makes the normal punch a bit redundant. Maybe making the uppercut not work on ground enemies would make it more challenging. Apart from that, my only other criticism would be that I felt the game was too short; but that is probably the best criticism anyone can give you. All in all, nice work!
I feel like there's so much potential here. The command prompt acts exactly like I expect it to but there are a few major problems with the game that stop me from progressing. The webpage scrolls when you press space as someone else has said previously so I had to keep scrolling back up to the game. Also, the cd ../ command didn't seem to work for me so I was never able to get into the parent file so I couldn't get into users. I feel like this game may be amazing but all I was able to do was read the scientist's log files. Wish it wasn't as frustrating but I love the idea.
@yolziii ah that may be it then, I was logged in as the guest user. It's probably not a bug then but in case it was, it was Windows 10 in Firefox. I assumed I had to get to the root folder before I could get to the root user, so maybe it was my misunderstanding.
Haven't seen anything like this before, I liked this a lot though and felt very engaged trying to diagnose patients. Somehow it didn't feel unscientific and felt like these were actual conditions! The core mechanics are great and very interesting. To make it better, some feedback on whether I had saved the patient or not would be good. I found a button eventually which let me see those who I'd saved/killed but I feel like it should be more obvious. The other thing was that I'd seen all the patients but the game was still making me wait for the end. I had like another 1 min and 20 seconds and I wasn't sure if I'm supposed to wait or if the game broke. Audio would be nice too. Overall, I liked this game and novel idea!
Very different game and I like that. The music and sound effects were great and I can honestly see something like this on steam in the future. It's very serene and has a nice mood to it, a good break from the other games. I'm just very impressed how quickly you created all the models for this game, I don't think I would ever be able to finish anything like this as fast. I really liked the mini-game of catching the fish via the arrows but it would be better if the fish didn't swim off screen as I'm trying to catch them (I couldn't see the bottom arrow when this happened). Overall though, it was a treat to play, well done.
I really like the idea, and the floaty jump actually makes perfect sense in this game. The rounded CRT effect was cool but not really sure what this was trying to convey. There were points where I didn't know where to go or what to do and at one point I jumped into a pit and died because I couldn't see the spikes. The audio was great and the music was very fitting. I also loved the graphical details such as the character bobbing up and down. All in all, a nice little game!
Reminds me a lot of a game I had on my iPod nano called Vortex. I like the concept but I don't like how easy it is to lose. if the ball goes into the heart, it just bounces indefinitely whilst in there and it's pretty hard to get out. Nice visuals though and it keeps well with the theme.
I liked the idea of providing resources in exchange for energy. The graphics were pretty neat too. The audio was atmospheric and added some mood to the game. Only thing to improve is that the light wasn't quite enough for me and I often felt like I was lost. Other than that, good game.
I think it's a good game but there was an issue I had with the ball rolling maze game not working properly. The ball didn't move when I rotated the screen and after a while, it just vanished from the screen completely? Just something to look at. Other than that though, I love these little minigames!
Really interesting implementation of a hacker game. There were many little features I enjoyed with this game: * The nostalgic "click" sound that plays. * The contacts.txt so that you can check which emails are genuine. * The animations at the start of the game. * Closing windows when you got the viruses. I also liked the many puzzles that I had to complete in order to get the live feed back online. I've played a few "hacking" games before but I feel like this is definitely the best I've seen! To improve further, I think perhaps an explanation of what the colours on the router mean would be good. I tried turning it on and off but that didn't seem to work. But overall, I loved it!
Not bad at all for a first game. I appreciate you being honest about the scene management  to improve, perhaps you could add some sound? I also found that the sword didn't have a long enough range and as such, it didn't stop the enemies attacking you whilst you were attacking them. Some more particles for death animations or others would be nice too. But it's certainly better than my first game so well done.
The graphics were good and definitely had an horror-esque feel to them. To improve, please make the gaps between fences either bigger or smaller. They look like I can fit through the gaps but I can't. I also would like it if the death scenes happened a bit faster so that I can get back to playing the game. But all in all, I loved the literal use of the theme and the music was great.
I liked the flip on the theme. If we're keeping the fire alive, everyone else must die! The graphics were nice too and I liked the way everything tiled together. To improve, I'd add audio as it feels a bit lifeless as it is. Also a way to indicate how well we did would be nice. Just some ideas.
I loved the art in this game and the animations were spot on too. I did find it quite difficult to stop the enemies reaching the flame and couldn't figure out how to buy things from the shop. Maybe a short explanation/tutorial would work well with this.
This was an enjoyable game and I really liked the way that you can pick up weapons and how some of them only have a few uses, encouraging the player to use a variety of different weapons. Just a tip, I reckon you're using the unity tilemap. If so, you probably want to turn your colliders into composite colliders so that they all merge together; I was getting stuck if I was walking along the edge of the walls due to each tile having it's own collider. The gun shot sound was fantastic but the music let you down here. Parts of it were great but there were others where the notes clashed and sounded horrible. I think it's probably just different audio samples being mixed together.
I liked the idea and the torch looked good but the second screen was near impossible for me to clear. I feel like maybe if you could deactivate multiple traps and the traps had a timer of about a second before reactivation, that would make this game a bit easier.
I liked this game a lot! The humour was great and I loved the music. The ball physics were spot on. Only issue I had was that I could not find the panic button anywhere. Grandma could not be saved :frowning2: However, I really did enjoy the art and overall thought it was great!
I liked the idea of volleyball with a baby. I played it with my younger brother and we enjoyed it, however, there was no ending to the game which made it feel like it was missing something. Maybe you could add this in Don't Kill The Baby 2?
