Really fun game, maybe not the most innovative game but I still enjoyed allot!

Really fun game, maybe not the most innovative game but I still enjoyed allot!
I enjoyed this game. The graphics are really nice. But I didn't understand this game when I first played it. I didn't know what all building did. Tool tips would have been really nice. Something like when you hover over the mine "mine: mines stone". Doesn't have to be a big description but it makes the game allot more clear for the player. Furthermore, when the pirates came, I didn't know pirates would come, I got totally destroyed. I hadn't prepared any defenses. I think the biggest fault of this game is the communication. That said, after I got everything down I really enjoyed this game! Well done!
I like the game allot. It has a great mood, the audio is pretty good, it has some humor and I liked how you used the theme. Well done!
I liked the game. I have read your post and it is nice that you finally have made a game again :). The game is a little repetitive. But otherwise great game.
Nice game, I liked it. It was cool how you used theme and the humor was great. The text was a bit slow in the beginning, maybe you should let the player decide when he wants to see the next bit of text. The platforming was a bit generic. The gameplay in general wasn't very good, but then again it was only made in 72 hours. Still, I like it a lot. Well done!
When I first saw this game I thought it would be a really simple platformer. Mostly because of the art. But I gave it a try and I am happily surprised. The walking mechanic, the spinning, makes it already stand out. I like the world shape mechanic, I haven't seen anything like this. The game can sometimes feel unfair, mostly when you have to make a precise jump. The game is just not made for precision jumping and when it is put in the game it is quite frustrating. You probably already know this but the graphics and sounds are really lacking. But in the end I think fun gameplay matters more than good sound and art. I have to say, I really enjoyed this. Well done!
I like the idea of the game. You have to save these small planets from overpopulation. I liked that you took something that is a current problem and made a fun little game around it. Sadly, the execution could have been better. Like most people already said, the game was confusing in the beginning. I didn't understand what I was supposed to do. Only after I went online to the itch.io page I understood the game mechanics. A small tutorial would have gone a long way. As for the gameplay, it didn't feel 'right'. You were the very slow character and the shooting humans away mechanic was just annoying to use. In stead of flying to the mouse it flew in the way how your character was aligned. This just made it too hard to aim when you need to be quick. Furthermore, I didn't like the way the percentage system worked. I think you should have just used numbers. Like when you have 5 people on a planet and the planet can only host 10 people it would show that this planet hosts 5/10 people. Then when the planet has 11/10 people the would die. This way it is easier for the player to understand which planet he or she has to focus on. And even more importantly he or she understands how much people have to be thrown of the planet to make it save again. Lastly, sound would have made the game much better, but I think you already know this. I like the idea, but it had poor execution. Still, well done!
Pretty good game. It had some visually interesting planets, like the lava world. But sadly most world were a little generic, same mechanic and nothing really that distinguished them from the others. The collision was buggy at times but it never stopped me from playing. The objective was really simple, this is okay for a game jam but it didn't really feel like playing the game again. The music is nice. It had its funny moments with the dialog, even though the first time I didn't know there was a interact button. Maybe that button should have come up if you were near a character. In summary: the game has it flaws but I still enjoyed it. Well done!
This game looks amazing and the audio is also really good. Sadly, there is not much gameplay to be had. There wasn't really much to other than walking and that last puzzle. That last puzzle was really fun tho. If the game had more puzzles it would have been much better in my opinion. I think the controls could be improved. First of all you could have used the right mouse button for screaming and hitting and the left for moving. Instead of doing everything one button. Also, you could have given the option to control it with the keyboard. In summary, the gameplay is lacking but the art and the music superb.
First of all I really like the art style and the music is nice. But it wasn't clear to me what I was supposed to do. I started the game at first and I tried different keys and the mouse but nothing happened. Then I started the game a second time to check if I had skipped a tutorial by accident but that wasn't the case either. After that I went online to find a video. I discovered I had to wait. This could have been easily avoided if there was just a small tutorial at the beginning saying what I should do. The mechanic wasn't hugely complicated, this doesn't have to be bad of course but the game didn't hold my attention for long. Still, I think this is a well made game with some small flaws. Well done!
I enjoyed your game. Maybe the game is a little bit too hard. I liked how you almost all the sound with your mouth :). Well done.
I like the concept of this game. You play against AI drivers, trying too add more fuel to your rocket so you can shoot the most rockets in to space. However, my big gripe with this game is, like the other commenters already pointed out, that the controls aren't good. In my opinion it would have made much more sense to just turn with A and D and go forward and backwards with W and S. Then add some driving and you have a pretty cool game. The graphics looked really nice and the audio is decent. Well done.
About the difficulty: I don't think the game is too easy, maybe a little bit too hard. But I think that also has something too do with the controlls.
I really enjoyed the puzzle concept, it was well thought out and executed. However, I don't think the rest of the game is particularly good. The jumping felt clumsy and the glitches were just annoying. I could have dealt with this, if not for the fact that if you die you had to restart the whole level. Furthermore, I didn't like the coffee mechanic. You just didn't have enough time to make it too the next coffee cup. Often when you make a game, the game is really easy for you. But often for someone who has never played the game before it feels like it is too hard and unfair. In think you should have just focused on the puzzle mechanic and scratched the platforming. Or ,at least, added checkpoints after each puzzle. I hope this feedback helped you, I don't mean too offend you in anyway :)
I absolutely love the art. And the story is great, I enjoyed the humor. Sadly the game didn't really work properly for me. Or maybe I just didn't understand it. Sometime I would mix two thing and I wouldn't get anything. And sometimes when I mixed two ingredients and I couldn't give the mixed things to the demon giant. If you expand on this game I would recommend removing the collision with the ingredients and adding a bit more sound.
Nice little game. It had some nice puzzle work, the graphics looked good and I liked how visually represented the energy. My big problem with the game is that I often was like: "how was I supposed to know I did/didn't have to hit that tnt". It just became a case of trail and error. Maybe you could zoom out, that way there is no guessing. Anyway, I think this game would work great on a mobile device. It could be a fun little time waster. Overall I think you made a good game!
Nice little game. I enjoyed the story! I made it too the space ship with not pallets left. Something weren't clear though. Why was the person in the station dead with crystals in his body. Why did the spaceship run on crystals. And what happend to the shaking astronaut, did I leave him or take him with me. But then again, you only had 48 hours too make this game and in those 48 hours you made a really intresting game. Well done!
Cute game. I like that you used photos. The story was nice and the sound complimented it. You could improve the gameplay however. It was too simple in my opinion. And for your next game, try to make the hitboxes from the spikes, or anything that can hurt you for that matter, smaller than the actual object. It felt sometimes unfair when I died, like I didn't hit the spikes but still had to restart. Still, I enjoyed your game!
Simple platformer game with some interesting mechanics. I like the art style. But I think you should have added a little story in the game why you are playing on a computer. The gameplay is okey. The jumping feels a little bit floaty. And it is really annoying when the camera pans to the door when you are jumping over a lave pit. Otherwise, great game :)
I enjoyed this game, it is really simple but well executed. However, the game was a little bit too repetitive, I would have liked too see some more situations (or however you call them).
My highscore is 1770 :D
Good game. It is really hard and I kinda suck at it but that is okay. The graphics are well made and the gameplay is good. The game is a little bit repetitive. But then again, you didn't have much time. Well done!
Really interesting game. The graphics looked nice, and the mood is amazing. It is quite hard too move, but then again is the challenge of this game. I think this game would work better with a controller, one stick for movement and the other stick for selecting what part has too move. Overall I really enjoyed your game!
I think I broke the game, looks cool though. Side note, in this picture it says I ended in 8th place. But in reality I ended in 2th place. Weird bug. screenshot night.png
Anyway, I really enjoyed your game. I haven't played much racing games, I don't have any reference, but the driving felt good. Furthermore, the graphics and the mood where great. However, the energy system you added to the game felt forced and didn't really add anything in my opinion. I never ran out of energy. It just felt forced because the theme demanded it. Overall, a polished and well made game with some minor bugs!
The mood of the game is topnotch, the pixel art looks good and the minimal sound fits well. I did not read the description you put up on this page prior to playing the game. This caused me to not understand what I was doing or why I was doing it. I just walked up some stairs clicked on the atenna masts and then there were these screen squares that filled up. Maybe you could make the goal of the game a little more explicit, but it could also just be me who did not read all the entry logs properly. Something that I think also could be improved is showing the time while you are searching for a signal and let you stop looking through the atenna when you want. I really enjoyed your game, well done!
Working with 15 people on a jam game is insane! I like what you guys have put together, it is original and fits well with the theme. Nicely done!
@wormholegames the sheep move randomly in 8 directions thus there is a chance that they will walk under the rock. I probably should have programmed that when there is a rock falling that they don't walk under it, it might feel unfair when they do that. It is weird that the sheep didn't react to the dog, that is a bug. And the game should also be able to go in fullscreen, what is the aspect ratio of your monitor and what version of windows do you run?
@ilya-nazarov that is pretty good idea! Would also have been easier to implement than the timer.
@incobalt when I first made the repairing fence mechanic it was not intentional. However, I did leave it in because I feel like good players can utilize this. Maybe I should have made it more explicit in the instructions of the game that you are able to repair more fence at once, but on the other hand I thought it would be fun if players could figure it out for themselves.
I really enjoyed this game. You took a simple concept that fits the theme well! However, like others have pointed out, maybe the game is a little too difficult. In general with jam games people don't spend a lot of time trying to learn it thus I think it is a good idea to make easier games that you can get good at really fast (although the game that I made is also too diffuct... woops). Anyway, I like this game a lot, well done!
Awesome game! I love the concept, it is original and works well with the theme. The graphics look good and I laughed out loud when the vampire fell down the hole. Well done!
The voice acting at the beginning of the game really helps to put every thing in context. The game is fun although I think it maybe is too challeging. I did not understand the goal of the game until I watched the video on this page. Maybe you could state the goal more explicit. Other than that, well done!
I enjoyed this game, it is cute! The graphics look cool and the concept works well with the theme. However I think it may be a little too difficult. Especially when the bug is under the plant it is hard to hit which can make the game frustrating sometimes. Anyway, well done!
The game looks really and sounds really good, well done!
This is one of my favorite games I have played from this jam yet. It looks good, it sounds good and it is really fun to play! Maybe you could add that even when you don't hit anything that you still attack, this might make the game feel a bit more responsive. Amazingly done!
I enjoyed this game! It was simple and easy, but the game still kept me going because it has a certain charm. I didn't really know when I had 'won' the game, I guess when I had won the baking competition. I kept going after that hoping there would come new options or dialog. Maybe it would be a good idea to explicitly tell the player what the goal of the game is and when they have finished the game. Anyway, well done!
