I really enjoyed the mood are the puzzles were just hard enough. Good job :)

Really Good!
The athmosphere with the grpahics and audio fitted well. Puzzles were nice, maybe bit hard sometimes. Ladders bugged me out of map couple times, I felt like a speedrunner. I also liked the story cuts with the diologue.
really good game! Great graphics and audio.
Really nice scenery! Wanted to play more but I couldn't seem to get past the ladder puzzle. In the browser version it seemed impossible unless I am missing something?
@franciszeknowotniak @mooman-monk @fukusplutus Thank you!
@elq Thanks for the feedback and playing the game, can you mention which ladders?
@natethegreat By the ladder puzzle which are you refering to? Im willing to give hints.
@franciszeknowotniak @mooman-monk @fukusplutus Thank you!
@elq Thanks for the feedback and playing the game, can you mention which ladders?
@natethegreat By the ladder puzzle which are you refering to? Im willing to give hints.
Great game! Really loved it! In the water level, when you have to lock the zombie under you in a door, I didn't realize the button on the upper floor, on the left, locked the door in place, maybe that could've been introduced earlier. Apart from that, congratulations, really well done!
Feels like really great game. Great work!
For some reason the battery puzzle would allow me to complete it. Great game, some music could really set the mood
Really enjoyed it until I totally got stuck with the part where's the battery D: The makes you feel like a genius when you get the "ahaa" moment and get around the puzzle. solid entry, good job!
I wasn't sure if I did the final puzzle the right way and those platforms were red herrings? But I enjoyed that, really nice graphics and sound!
@asemic Thank you for playing, I'll see what I can do to make it more obvious!
@x-c Thank you! Glad you liked it
@mmason Would or wouldn't? Either way i'll put up a walk through as fast as I can. As for music, I would add some, if I were not so bad at making it :p Thx for the feedback
@tulipekoni Walkthrough, coming soon! Thanks for the feedback, really appreciate you guys.
@raeya How'd you do it? Im curious.
@tulipekoni @mmason @natethegreat Walkthroughs have been made and are above!
The game is really beautiful,btw how Did you add text animation before starting the game is it animation or timeline?
Very Well made. Very clean. I love the ambiance. The intro with the train. A little bit rigid to play. I found the ladders a bit weird (its like you jump and then wait he is falling down slowly). And It would be nice to have a checkpoint after we have done the first step with the key. I'm stuck on the puzzle with the two buttons. 4 seconds is very short ^^ But i'm pretty bad with this kind of game. Anyway, good job!
This game is beautiful and the mood is super cool! I love the concept as well, super original!
I really like the simple graphics, the sounds. The puzzle design is very nice. The environment design along with the sound design really makes you feel like you're alone in the apocalypse.
The controls are a little janky though. Other than that, it's a great game.
Is this inspired by The Final Station?
Great job!
@sai-vivek-amirishetty Thank you for the compliment and for playing, the text animation was actually a simple animation playing! I just made an animation, set it to play at 1 frame per second, have the text appear as frames, then have the button appear after the animation was finished.
@matootsy Well I made you go up ladders really fast because I felt it was a pain to make it so slow. As for the puzzle, there are walkthroughs below the links you can go watch. Thank you for playing, and the feedback!
@jenny-bourke Thank you, and thx for playing.
@santriptasharma It initially wasn't, even after the idea was finalized. Instead it was the artstyle that was influenced by The Final Station (which I really liked) later on. Thanks for playing!
Loved the aesthetic in this game! The pixel art is super nice and adds to the mood.
Super fun game. Sound and art are beautiful. The only thing that caused me trouble were the ladders - couldn't quite get my head around the mechanics of them (when you reach the top). Also on the HTML5 version i couldn't get past the train depot. For some reason it wouldn't let me activate the lift even with the generator activated. Really satisfying to play regardless.
Cool game! I really like the level design. The artwork was also well done and sets the mood of the game.
The art style is phenomenal and I like the twist on the theme!
@connie-liu @randomlb Thx for playing and the feedback
@hastro Thank you, seriously, thank you. The bug explains some of the earlier comments and it was a stupid mistake ( I accidentally set it to E instead of F). Thanks for playing and the feedback!
@gal-afik Thank you! tq for playing too
You achieved a great feel. Reminded me of Play Dead's Inside. Nice job on the level art!
Great use of assets! It really feels like an over all complete world! Puzzles were a little confusing but not frustrating.
@ryan-ackermann Thank you, glad you liked the feel and art!
artwork is really nice, looks very polished. Animations are nice, a death animation would be useful, otherwise feels like game glitched out. Stage design is great. Good job , in game audio would have been cool.
@vivek-sharma20 there is ingame audio, are your settings set right? As for the death animation, I'll put it in the pipeline. Thx for playing!
The game is a really nice thing, I did enjoy it for the first minutes, but it is also kinda frustrating the game to be honest, it is a little difficult also. Like I would preffer to start really easy and ramp up the difficulty slowly during the game, but here at the very beggining I was already struggling...
@krebzor Im not sure how I can make the first few puzzles easier, but if I decide to continue the game I can try. Thanks for playing, and the feedback!
Nice entry but i got problem to jump (maybe my browser but not with .exe) nevermind good job pal !
My character is very slow, is it normal ?
My god man, i cant say i wasn't impressed, the graphics were amazing, and the puzzles were challenging, but satisfying to solve at the same time, i did come across some glitches with the ladders, but with a bit more time im sure you could've polished those out, amazing game man, good job!
@randdir What browser are you using? I'll go test it out, thx for letting me know!
@a-312 Are you pressing shift to run? Maybe you missed the text in the first scene
@ladmiester Thank you! Your right with the ladder part, but thankfully it wasnt major enough to be a huge fuss. Thx for playing!
Wow. I can't believe, that this game was made during game jam. I's a well made production ready game. Impressive.
Awesome game! The art is awesome and the gameplay is very good! :)
It's really well done. I like the mood, the graphics. The jumping is pretty buggy and some ladders. But overall I like it! <3
Great game! Great visuals & sfx. Levels are really well-designed and puzzles are clever. Liked how you used zombies as a puzzle mechanic, pretty interesting. Might be a little bit away from the theme. Overall congrats on making this super solid entry! :D
> Are you pressing shift to run? Maybe you missed the text in the first scene
@darylsteak The description of your page too https://i.imgur.com/LWoJ6Ty.png
**EDIT:** Ok I saw the missed text (I try 3 times to find where^^', I admired the interior of the train too much)
Great visuals, sound, story! Overall really enjoyed this game. The final puzzle ruined it a bit due to the issues in trigger finger reaction's needed vs game mechanics.
Overall great game. I recorded & uploaded my raw play through of it here: https://youtu.be/KYcnqhc-tD0 Hopefully it will give you some ideas about how a player plays the game and what they struggle with etc.
Interesting take on a Le Transperceneige/Snowpiercer type of world. I personally found the puzzles slightly too hard, but I am running on a slight lack of sleep given the LD just ended! Really impressed and liked the graphic style and audio SFX too. Will play again once I have a bit more sleep in me! :D
@sami I never realized Snowpiercer was originally a french Sci Fi comic! Being that I love trains, I have to read it. As for the puzzles, it might be too hard for some, just right for others, and to others more, too easy. So dont push yourself, and if you really cant solve one use the walkthrough listed under the downloads. Thank you for trying it out, and the feedback!
@a-312 Oh shoot, good catch, I didnt put it for the game page, thx for catching that.
@winslow Thank you for the video! Visual feedback is some of the most useful for me. Tq for playing.
very moody, very nice concept, nice graphics. Simplicity is key here. There is no need for music or crazy effects when you can hit the mood spot on! couldnt make it past the first level though :/
Wow what an amazing game, and the the you really get a feeling of accomplishment after figuring out the puzzles in the game. Also really nice visual and the whole game feeling!
cool! Nice puzzles and art!
@remus-rain Dont worry, that's what the walkthroughs are for, they are there incase you get stuck (go watch it, it's under the downloads). Go check it out. Thanks for the feedback and playing!
@tuesi Thank you! And thx for playing.
@daniel-velitskiy THX!
This is absolutely incredible, one of my favourite ludum games i've played in a long time. The mood, graphics & world building are brilliant. The physics & controls felt a little clunky at times and puzzles were sometimes a little difficult, but easy to look past compared to the incredible detail and care put elsewhere. Brilliant job :-)
Awesome game! Loved the art style and how original your game idea was. Well thought out level design with tricky puzzles. Overall very impressed that you were able to create that in the tight time limit. Great job!
amazing art direction ! neat !
I really liked this game, a clever way to do a puzzle game where tricking/manipulating zombies is a core mechanic instead of just killing them. The only thing I would change is the clunkiness with ladders where getting off them back onto a platform can sometimes be really frustrating because of the constant fall rate.
@joekinglake Thank you for the praise, and thank you for enjoying it so much. Im really happy with how people are receiving it.
@zen Thank you! And thank you for playing, I appreciate it!
@chromaphase Thx!
@pandepic Got it, ill write it down as one of the things to fix in the post jam version. Thank for the feedback and playing!
Nice art style, great atmosphere, good storytelling, excellent audio design. Gameplay however was a little frustrating due to the control layout feeling a little awkward to use, and the high difficulty in getting past zombies and solving puzzles right from the start took the shine off it for me. Really good effort for a weekend game, and with some polish and balancing I could see this being a proper release I'd throw a couple of quid at to play on itch/steam/gog.
@historymaker118 Got it, if I ever continue this game I'll be sure to redesign the puzzles to make the difficultly be more of a ramp than a jagged mountain range. Thanks for playing the game, and leaving feedback!
Best one I have seen so far
Amazing all round. The graphics and sound are fantastic. Only couple of thoughts I had, a ladder climbing animation would add a lot. At the moment it's an easy escape from the monsters, and is the only weak movement I can see so far. Also, replacing the text with an actual scene of what's happening! All things that can be added post-jam... This is one of my favourites so far! Well done.
Very complete ! Feel like it just miss some animations and maybe a x position lock on the ladder !
Got stuck after the water tank level during the story cutscene where I supposedly met a survivor :(. Great entry though, I had a good time playing it. Mood is completely on point and graphics served the game very well. Making such an adventure game which feels like an actual adventure in a jam is hard so congratulation !
@nightjolt Thank you.
@jamesolivermusic I never really though of a climbing animation, although in hindsight I should have and probably could have squished one in. As for an actual scene, we'll see! It depends on whether I continue this. Thx for playing and the feedback!
@gregoire-d An x position lock, why didnt I think of that? that's a brilliant idea. Thanks for playing and the feedback!
@bluecalx can you explain the events leading up to that along with which version of the game you used (web/exe)? First I've heard of this bug. That aside, thank you for playing, and thx for the valuable feedback!
Little bug after climbing the ladder, but nice puzzles and atmosphere. Výstřižek.PNG Alone in dark :)
It took me ą hour to Finnish :D, the sounds started to be annoying, but how the heck did u do so much content :D? Anyways, I enjoyed this game. Really great entry.
@jiri-holzel Planning to release a version with all the collisions fixed! Thanks for letting me know about that one, and thx for playing.
@arbex an hour? That is some serious dedication. Im actually pretty touched. As for how? Practice makes perfect, this is basically a combination of all my muscle memory and skills gained over the past 2 years. Thanks for playing, especially for that long!
One of the best LD46 games. Good job. :wink:
Great visual style. Interesting story and good puzzles. Good job
Great game, lovely visuals. I am unsure how you pulled this one off during three days. Unbelievable.
Incredible game... Some collision / physic interactions are clunky, besides that, that was perfect. Great job.
@Darylsteak There is also an english language version of the comic by Titan Comics, if you don't speak French! There's also one prequel and another coming in August.
Good visual a great atmosphere! The enviroment is very well done. the puzzle are also nice.
Currently playing, I found the same bug as @jiri-holzel in the first puzzle room : if you jump on top of the ladder, you can shift through the wall and then move towards the exit hope8bug.PNG
@igoreshka @danilshekarev @reiqy @lockness Thank you!
@eryph Thanks for playing and the feedback!
@sami Really? Thanks alot! You really didnt need to do this but I really appreciate it!
@effarek Interesting.... I'll fix it in a version with improved collisions, thanks for letting me know!
Very nice theme and aesthetic, and very challenging puzzles! The only problem are some collisions that were adding frustration but overall this was great.
I enjoyed the mood! Nice Job!
This game is really good! The artstyle is great and the puzzles are challenging. I didn't finish the game but it was still quite fun.
Really great game. The sounds are really moody :D
Fantastic game!
This game is awesome! I love the theme and mood. Great puzzles and puzzle solving.
THIS GAME'S SO DOPE WTF
, that was a careless mistake that was nonetheless uploaded for a small 15 min window. If you were unfortunate enough to download the bugged version, im sorry, it's fixed
@vulgaris added a version where the collisions are mostly fixed! Thank you for playing and the feedback.
@victor-reiner @neowhoru @simply @toby-klauder Thx for playing!
@sockyman Well I hope you can finish it one day, glad you liked it.
@kasalooo GLAD YOU THOUGHT THAT BRO
Looked good, little buggy, sound levels were really load and really quiet at times, overall really good entry.
The atmosphere and puzzle design were super good here! The movement - especially with ladders - felt a little bit weird to me, but nothing that can't be forgiven in a jam game this ambitious
Wow, the simplistic graphic design and the sound add so much to the mood. Good job!
Awesome game!
Fantastic audio, graphics animation, and use of theme. Story was good too and you really nailed the mood of the game. Almost perfect except jumping over the boxes is a pain. 5/5.
i loved it. very nice short puzzle game , nice setting. well done
Awesome, awesome entry :) Small platformer inspired by Final station mechanics, art and MOOD! Fu***ng awesome, I see TOP5 for you guys :) Everyting is perfect :)
Yes ofcourse more levels will be good but that time, time is lord of all devs in jam :)
First, nice foreshadowing with the zombie before you enter the building. :D Your art is amazing and the game looks very well polished. The atmosphere was great. And you, sir, know how to make a puzzle.
I took a bit of time to understand the first half of the first one and at the second part it was already pretty challenging to me. haha When I got to the end of the first I had forgotten about using E and almost thought the game was bugged. I thought it would have only one level, but you surprised me with 2 more. I was lost with those lifts on the water level and needed the walkthrough to the underground puzzle with the boxes and buttons. The fuel level was way more easier than the second and I got a bit of movement bugs.
Very nice job on this one. Just get a few bugs fixed, make ladders a bit better (but not slower) maybe add a more challenging part to the third level and you'll have a full solid game. =]
Graphics look nice except a bit small, the font was very hard to read, and text kept popping up that i didn't notice until the next scene was loading. Sound is really good. I like the interpretation of the theme into keeping a train running. I unfortunately havn't gotten to experience much because loading is a bit buggy. It took four times just to get the page to load (probably nothing you can do for that), but as I started playing i entered a door, the screen went black, and then nothing. I'm about to give it another shot.
nicely done. A good level of difficulty, and pretty impressed at the extend of the game assets.
Okay playing a second time and the door worked. The game is definitely picking up. I noticed there were a couple slightly different ways to complete the first puzzle, I appreciated that. My only complaints are the the mentioned buys, low res, and maybe the ladder-climbing mechanics.
I'm working on the second puzzle now. So far I really like this. Great job!
Really cool vibe and world, and nice puzzles! The ladder mechanics could be a bit smoother, but the ambiance is really impressive
Great game and sets the mood nicely. I got stuck on the double switch puzzle, was looking for something to push on to the bottom one but its probably just because I am too dumb to work it out.
@death-is-cold @motley @fidrik @digitaldude555 @han-cholito @levi @forgeronstudio Thanks for the feedback, and playing!
@digitaldude555 Top 5? I really do hope so, thanks for the feedbacks and for playing the game!
@nathalia-hohl I will try should I ever continue this to make the difficulty a better curve, since this is actually the first time i've tried designing puzzles haha. Thanks for playing, and the feedback!
@shaolin-dave Yeah, the loading issues, im actually going to blame the engine I used (Clickteam Fusion 2.5) because it never really seemed very good at porting to HTML5, which is why I advised people to use the exe. The exe also has higher res compared to the web browser version.
Thank you for giving it another shot though, along with leaving detailed feedback, really appreciate it!
@sid-fish-games Im sure you got it eventually, thanks for playing!
This was a great experience. I think some ambient music and a darker tone would have made it feel more urgent. But besides that, this game is awesome and can’t wait for the sequel!
Very talented puzzle level designer you are. Ran well for me windows. Struggled on first puzzle because I didn't check the controls to see I can sprint LOL.. Then it went well. Just like any puzzles I had to cheat. but the puzzles were fair. The simple graphics and the right mood. Worth an upgrade.
@prof-suarez Well I can't promise anything about music (im absolutely horrible at making it), but I can make the tone darker. Thanks for the feedback and for playing!
@marvalgames Thank you, no guarantees on whether this will be continued (the code is helllllaaaa ugly), but im glad you enjoyed it enough to say it's worth an upgrade!
I think you nailed it with this game! Minimalistic and cohesive art style, fits the theme well. I left wanting more, so I'll check your previous Ludum Dare games to see more of your work.
@splitpainter Well you may be slightly disappointed, this game is basically my magnum opus thus far. Glad you liked it though, and I'll try to keep up the good work! Thank you for playing.
Nice one! I like the atmosphere and aesthetic especially.
It's a cool game with very nice pixel art! The gameplay and lore was good, as was the complexity and difficulty of the puzzles, it was fun to play! Posting the solutions was helpful as people would become more invested in the game.
wow what a great entry - so clean and crisp, with challenging puzzles. Really well done.
I really like the atmosphere of this game, and I'm amazed you managed to put so much into the game and get it to such a polish state in such a short amount of time! The graphics and visuals are really nice, although I do wish that the Reset key (R) would be a little further from the other controls, cause I kept pressing it by accident while trying to press E or T :") It maybe just me though XD
Overall, I enjoyed the puzzles and the game! Great work!
@rrsmtz Thank you!
@emperor-eagle I already did! You can find walkthroughs under the downloads and links. Thx for the feedback!
@lintfordpickle Thx!
@lapisraider Don't worry, I did the same thing a few times as well, probably will change it to something else. Thanks for playing and providing feedback!
Very cool, liked the style of the graphics. I had trouble in some areas getting down ladders etc. I'd maybe flip the shift key to walk , and run by default? Could definitely be expanded into a bigger game if you so desired. Reminded me a bit of flashback ( old Megagrive game ) in terms of the puzzles .
wow this game blew up
Nice game! the graphics are great btw
Great graphics, and gameplay! Reminded me a bit of knytt stories. Very well designed, congrats!
It'd got a really good mood to it, feeling of loneliness. Great job!
Oh my, this game deserves the attention it is getting. The overall... deserted feeling this game gave off was a great feeling. It made it a bit suspenseful and really immersive.
Great gameplay, art, and pretty good sound design. One sound I didn't quite like was from the elevator rig on level 2. It is *just* a bit too loud and too harsh for a slow-moving object that is going to produce that sound for a decent amount of time.
Really cool atmosphere. Oh, another thing I wanted to sing your praises for: The punch when the text is introduced, and *how* it is introduced. The speech-like pattern was a very very nice touch.
I ended up getting soft-locked in the second level. This dang zombie gained magic powers! I decided to join them. I would rather be a wizard than a survivor.

**A few criticisms, as always:**
1) The ladder was a bit finicky. Since this is a key aspect of movement in the game, I feel it could especially use some improvement. Sometimes I went up and down very quickly, other times I went slowly. One time I was launched into the ceiling and almost got stuck, another time I couldn't get off of it and had to *run* at the top to launch myself off of it.
2) The elevator rig sound as mentioned above.
3) Boxes are a bit hard to get around. I have to spam jump to pretty much glitch myself past them.
Overall: beautiful, fun, intriguing, and immersive.
Amazing graphics, sound, and mood. The zombie manipulation was a really clever mechanic, but I have to echo many of the other commenter's sentiments that the ladders were really fiddly (and at times, quite frustrating). Still, excellent game, one of the best!
@johnnysix That changing the walk key to shift idea is a good one, if I ever do a post jam version i'll implement it. Thanks for playing and the feedback!
@saucygames Indeed it did.
@rexent-games @flamus @maytch Thank you, and thx for playing
@gmaanicus Thank you alot for the very detailed feedback, and for playing! I may make a post jam version and if so hope to get everything you mentioned fixed. Also, about that zombie levitating, *absolutely no bloody idea how it does that, it just does!* Either way I added a small system that basically forces it back to the ground if it does that again.
Naughty zombo
As for the ladders, the version with fixed collisions should have it fixed.
@dxk2294 Yeah, of all the things it had to be the ladder to be the weakest link. Nonetheless, thank you for playing!
Great game. love the graphics, a bit hard right from the start. But overall GJ!
Wonderful graphics and cool story for the theme! Mechanics such as manipulating zombies and puzzle designs are very good. My only trouble is with the ladder. It's such a polished game overall, thank you!
As lots of people mentioned before: Very nice entry, good graphics, good sound, well crafted, with just a few minor downsides, like the ladders.
cute graphics, great sounds, the puzzles were hard enough to be entertaining. i liked it a lot, well done!
Probably one of the best games I've seen so far. The graphics were incredible, I really like the art style of this game. The puzzles were incredibly clever and enabled me to have the eureka moment when i finally figured them out. The audio was great too and added atmosphere to the game. In terms of what to improve on, the only thing I can name is the annoying elevator sound :smile: but I've seen other people have already mentioned that before me.
Nice work, I hope to see more like this in the future.
Wow, I'm really impressed you were able to come up with all of these puzzles so quickly. I know when you get good at art or programming you can really crank out impressive programs and art, but it's rare to find people who can do really good game design under pressure. Hats off to you! We went with a more established game design, tweaked it a bit, and focussed on polish. I look forward to seeing more of your games in the future!
@meskaline @doritolord Thank you!
@majadroid @noirdrive Got it, will try to improve, thx!
@sir-magic The elevator sounds cant be too hard to fix, literally just slightly tuning it down in audacity and maybe add a small start up and shut off effect, nonetheless I'll get to it. Thank you for playing and leaving the feedback, I appreciate it!
@scott-steffes Well when you really think about it, there were really only 5 puzzles (3 in train depot, 1 in the pumping station and 1 in the fuel silo, dont consider the 1st one in silo to be a puzzle, more a tutorial on the lifts, and getting the key was just teaching that zombies are not good). Furthermore I also spent several hours agonizing on designing those 5 because this is the first time i've done a puzzle game.
Thank god I decided to do something useful while agonizing and program some systems unrelated to the puzzles while I was at it, so when I finally did come up with the puzzles I wasnt horribly behind schedule.
Still, thank you for playing, and im glad you were impressed! I hope to make even better games than this in the future.
I really liked the pixel art and the story is nice. Puzzles require some thinking outside of the box, but sluggish controls make the solution hard to execute sometimes. It is especially noticeable in a third area. Even after watching walkthrough it took me a couple of tries to complete it because things were getting stuck. Still, a very cool game! The graphics are very impressive for 72 hours!
good art
Loved the mood and pixel art here. Played fine for me, despite all the warnings. :) I enjoyed the puzzles and problem solving a lot. Great job putting this together in such a short time!
(Hey I recognise you from the LD server!) Very good artwork, some added ambient music would improve the mood a bit.
the puzzles were really confusing and frustrating, i loved the art and the sound effects were nice!
I think that this is one o the best games in the jam
Woaw, very very nice. I only played the html5 version, but it was fine. I did'nt encounter any kind of real bug. Some collisions are quite messy but if i've understood correctly, you already patched it.
The puzzle are nice, pixel art and general mood are great. Some kind of music could have help making a more awesome mood, but it was really a nice game experience. Thanks for this game, I enjoyed it a lot.
It's lovely! I didn't play enough to feel I could honestly give a review, unfortunately. I got inside the building, and as I did everything/die and restart the level/as things go on, the game got slower and slower. I'm playing on a mac so downloading a win exe won't work for me.
Also, it would be nice if I could hit a button to skip the opening scenes, since I restarted a few times to see if it I could get the original speed going.
What I saw was very nice though!
Awesome graphics, and mood! Good work!
Mood and graphics were great, but the puzzles were a bit tough.
Super Cool Game! Really like the graphics
Just wow. I really liked the lemmings style of enemy movement and the art was top notch. The web version wasn't a big fan of me using the space bar but aside from that, it ran like a champ. Well done.
This one has potential for a very high overall score in my opinion. And if further developed with some side story, perhaps encounters with other survivors it would it would be a great little full fledged game :smirk:. There were slight issues with movement but nothing major. Other than that, it would be cool if the game had some music as well but even without that the mood is just perfect. Perhaps there could be an unfavorable ending, maybe affected by some mid game decision (wouldn't be too punishing if you just got shot after just few levels :smile:). Looking forward to seeing more from you, or perhaps even this evolving into a full fledged game after the jam!
Awesome game. Level design is top notch. Visuals are very nice and unique.
I have encountered few minor bugs in the last level - zombies and boxes getting stuck below surfaces. And I'm not sure if I solved last puzzle the way it was supposed to be solved as I did not use the box.
Great entry, cheers!
Cool game and really good mood! The puzzle were a bit tight and challenging, but I had a lot of fun. Good job. =]
I beat the game! I loved the graphics and the mood. The puzzles were also well designed. However, I didn't really like the platforming or collisions, it felt a little wonky at times. I played the fixed collisions version. Regardless, I loved the entry overall!
Fantastic! I really felt atmosphere! And puzzles were insanely good! There were sometimes moments where box stoped in the air or zombie appeared on the other side of the door but it didnt spoil my experience. I couldnt see a final scene. Last 'Go' button didnt work for me.
This game reminds me so much of fireboy and watergirl :)) Love the puzzle aspect of it!
I really loved the game, it reminds me of Limbo with the limited actions you can do with the character and the puzzles you have to solve with physics using everything in the environment. Fantastic job!
Good puzzles with minimal interaction. A little clumsy sometimes on the animations but not a big deal. I enjoy it. Good job!
I like the concept of this; however, some of the ladders were really janky and I ended up getting stuck because I couldn't get out of a hole in the water pumping station, as I couldn't seem to build up enough momentum to get away from the ladder.
Very Good Game, I like the graphics and the tactics it required in order to not be eaten by the zombies, Great solo effort on the Game, Wish you the best of luck :smile:
Controls were a bit hard, bit everything else was great, especially the environment. Would love to play a longer game in this setting.
Played on web first- even with disclaimer. Made a note to come back- glad I did. Airy little story. Love the graphics, game play, sparse scary sound effects, and the hopeful ending. Great game. Reminded me a bit of FAR: Lone Sails which I loved as well. Thank you for the game!
@lamossus I agree, movement was the weakest part of the game, and I'll try to fix it in a post jam version should I ever make one. Thanks for playing and the feedback!
@mehrdadsh @devparty @gonzo13 @the1 @docgeraud @helloitsjiwon @ldf-productions @wassim Thank you!
@unept Thank you! And thanks for playing.
@fat-cat i actually forgot LD had a server, havent been there in a loooong loooong time. As for music, I'll try to get my hands on some, Im horrific at making it after all. Thanks for playing and the suggestion!
@yorisfresh I'll try to make them less so, thanks for playing!
@chocolat-endive After seeing all the suggestions for music, I might just start learning how to do so, because im very very bad at making music. Thanks for feedback and for playing!
@laaph Things got slower and slower? That's strange, Ive never had such a bug in my life, not that im suggesting it doesnt exist. As for the skipping the cutscene part, it's a good idea! I'll see to it. Thanks for playing and giving feedback!
@inzombiak I'll try to make the puzzles feel a lil more fun, maybe have a easy-medium-hard mode? Either way, thanks for playing!
@lawnchair-society Thank you! I'll try to take the space bar into account next time. Thx for playing!
@cvetk0 I actually had a small plan after the jam ended, where there was a 50% chance you got a bad ending and just got shot, and if you played the game for too long before getting to the ending, the guy just says "apocalypse? you spent so long getting here it ended 2 years ago!". Never came to be though, or atleast, hasn't.
As for the side stories part, im onboard tbh, I'll see what I can do should I make a post jam version, or even a full game.
And finally, I'll try with the music, Im really bad at making music, but no time to learn like now! Thanks for playing and the feedback!
@ryzy27 You didnt use the box? interesting, maybe there is more than one solution, not that im complaining. Thx for the feedback and for playing!
@jusw85 It appears the fixed collision version still has some problems them, I'll try to iron them out. Thanks for telling me and for playing!
@kate90 Which version of the game did you use? It's probably a minor bug I didnt notice. Thank you for telling and for playing the game!
@acoto87 Thank you! I'll try to polish it even more
@stefanie-leitch Did you try running off the ladder? I didnt notice until now but apparently walking off is not enough. Ive added a small text telling people about this after your comment. Thank you for telling me and trying out the game!
@zzox I'll try to further improve movement, thx for playing!
Really impressive entry, especially solo! you sir are good, very good. I don't even wanna go into details about why this is awesome, just playing the game is self explanatory ...
Nice graphic and mood. I think you inspired by The Final Station? Great work!
Great game! Loved the pixel art!! One thing I found annoying however was that zombies sort of 'flew' in your direction when falling. It made it pretty hard to get parts the final puzzle on the fuel station. Other than that, this was an amazing effort! Good art, good puzzles and a pretty good story too!
Really good game. Pretty hard puzzles.
thanks for the game
Really good concept, and I really liked the graphics! The game is also very atmospheric! Overall, this is a really good jam entry!
Had some trouble solving some of the puzzles. Actually I would have had an harder time if there wasn't a video explaining how to solve them. The game is really well done!
Very nice puzzle, played through it and it left me wanting more :)
Some bugs though: The very first time at the beginning when I came out of the train I accidentally ran right through the wall to the zombie and it wouldnt kill me. I couldn't run back through the wall so I ran forward and out of the screen I went and could never come back so I had to restart the game.
Other than that, solid game. Good simplistic graphical theme, nice controls (I used JoyToKey so I could play with gamepad) and the audio atmosphere fit the mood of the overall theme.
This had a very cool mood to it and I enjoyed the puzzles. I did feel like maybe one or two of the puzzles were a bit fiddly with regards to getting the little zombie guys to follow you just right and there were some issues getting over pushable boxes sometimes, but those were small things that did not stop me from enjoying the experience.Nice job!
Very nice puzzle game. It had a good mood and satisfying puzzles.
Graphics are beautiful !
This game was so cool. I loved the art and the puzzles were clever. I found a bug at the water place, where if you stand at the very edge of the top platform with the broken button and the zombie corridor underneath, you can fall right through the platform. (at the place where @gmaanicus found the floating zombie.)
I like the game, the puzzles were interesting but due to the approximative collisions they sometimes ended up feeling messy. Else, good job ! The ambiance is perfect, the pixelart is simple but expressive, and the global idea is executed well.
(I'm just confused as if the game was supposed to crash at the end ?)
Great game, the sound design and the zoomed out camera really added to the feel of the game :)
Pretty good game, the puzzles are challenging but I could manage. I accidently played the version before the fix, since only the old version can be downloaded on itch. Maybe you can upload the fixed one on itch as well. The movement speed is pretty slow, I would make the run speed the standard speed. The ladders are pretty clunky, since it's easy the fall off and hard to go over at the top. I would like to move up and down the later, instead of fall down along the ladder and climb up. In the end, I made it to the fuel depot. I felt like I really needed to struggle with the game (because of the enemies), so there wasn't much fun anymore.
Nice game! good graphics and art! A lot done for a game jam. Their needs to be a maximize screen button because the text is too small. The movement does not feel that great because the jump is not high enough that you can do anything. Over all good job, and keep it up!
Dude that's amazing, well done!
There is so much that is well done in this, I think it could benefit a little from some music as well as some tuning on the feeling of jumping/running. Thank you for making this I enjoyed playing it!!
I did'nt see there was a build with better collisions as I just downloaded thru the itch app. The collisions ruined the experience a little for me but I still had fun and the puzzles were great! I ended up accidently bypassing the puzzle on the fuel silo, I just jumped off the top platform the zombie was on and landed where I needed to go :smile:
First of all, shout out for Clickteam Fusion, I'd know that icon anywhere!
Ok, that last puzzle in the first aria was a bit chalanging, though I do wonder why I can make water from all the snow that is around.
Hmm... I think I was about half way through the water puzzle when I started phasing through the floor and I think I skipped most of it.
That was pretty cool. I liked the puzzle, the jumping was a little odd but I finished the game and it was fun. Oh, and the graphics were quite nice too.
This game is AWSOME!! I AM ADDICTED. Puzzles are nice and theme is nicely presented. I just LLLLLLLLLOVE THIS GAME. Graphics were nice and detailed tooo.
Awesome atmosphere. Reminds me a bit of The Last Station and Metro. The audio is great too, and the pixel art is nice. Some of the zombies, especially the one in the elevator puzzle in the third level, can be a little unforgiving. But in general this is great! The only things I can think of to improve it would be some music in some areas, and some more levels. Great work!
Absolutely amazing! There is a bug though where you can go through walls, but that's it.
This is really good! First puzzle was very strong in particular :smile:
Sorry for the late replies.
@toffanim @black-flag @coatline @julienlussiez @hjalte @llewellyn-and-michael @unimaginable-code-studios @terry Thank you!
@endytroll The artstyle certainly was, Thanks for playing!
@andre-fremaux I'll try to deal with them should I ever get back to working on this little game, and will keep in mind. Thanks for the feedback and for playing!
@patricio Noted, thx for playing!
@matt-greenbury And thank you for trying it out!
@taran-unraveler Thank you for the feedback, I'll try to make the puzzles more enjoyable in the future should I ever get to it!
@tomssuli Thank you for playing and glad you liked it! I didn't actually expect and plan for someone to run straight through that particular wall, well there's something to note.
@recursor I'll try to smooth out the rough edges when I get to it, thank you for telling and for playing!
@theqiwiboy Really? I'll write it down somewhere as one of the things to fix when I eventually get back to fixing this game (slight bit of a mess really, alot of spaghetti code). Thank you for enjoying the game and for playing!
@geegaz What was the last part you were at? If it was the part where you were congratulated for finishing the game, then yes, otherwise, bit of a problem. As for the collisions, I'll try to find a solution, thx for playing!
@mika-la-grand Seems like most of the problems were movement based along with the zombies, sorry for that, I'll try my best to iron them out. Also, thanks for telling me about the un-fixed version on itch! I didn't notice that. Overall, thanks for the feedback, and taking time for trying the game out!
@guille Higher jumps and fullscreen, I can guarantee the first, but fullscreen in my past experiences actually messes stuff up, hopefully I can figure it out one day. Nonetheless, I'll make the person jump higher, thanks for playing and the feedback!
@babyking Maybe this game will get music one day, I'm horrendously bad at making it. I can fine tune the movement however! So thank you for the feedback and for playing the game!
@sharks I was careless! I didn't realize you could do that! Oh well, might just leave that in for those fortunate enough to find it to be honest. As for the itch download link, I'll swap it out, Thanks for leaving feedback and for playing!
@disthron Clickteam fusion! I knew eventually someone would notice, oh Clickteam gave me alooooooot of pain in terms of collisions and physics this time, thankfully I pulled through.
Overall, thank you for playing and for telling about the part where you skipped a large part of the game, I'll try to fix that along with the jumping!
Oh and the snow, I'll let you in on a secret... you forgot to bring a bucket!
@thebreakfast Many people are suggesting music, but im really bad at making music! O no! Oh well, i'll try learning how to make a little as this whole pandemic blows over I guess. As for the levels, I might continue the game in the future, but I'll be honest, no promises. Thank you playing, and the feedback!
@g-a-gamestudio I'll try to fix them. Thanks for playing!
@darylsteak you are welcome!
@darylsteak your welcome!👍
Cool game! I loved the aesthetics and ambiance! I'm bad for logic games so I spent some time on the first level hahahahaa
Hey if possible, play our game too it would be gratifying! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/46/kardiossomatic Thanksss :v:
I really like the nice pixel-art. A solid platformer :)
An amazing game, it's hard for me to Express all my feelings in words... I really liked the graphics and plot. I think that you managed to combine them in a way that created a unique atmosphere. Great job!
After the logo and a lot of gifs on the main page, I expected a game about trains and a few locations, but I got big locations with puzzles and just 15 seconds of the train.
It doesn't mean that this is a bad game. On the contrary, it has interesting puzzles with zombies and cool level design.
A little bit hard to read this pixel font. The rest of the game is great!
Very nice game! Loved the graphics and the mood!!! The use of the zombies as enemies and also as puzzles is very nice !
Great submission here! Theme very well applied and polished. It's great that you found a way to put the puzzles to work in such short time. Graphics are awesome and sfx also great. I've missed a background music to set the tone, specially when the zombies are on you. Texts were not that readable with the chosen font, but it sure matches the art work, so it did not bothered me that much. Nice work, @darylsteak!
Really nice game! It is fun, with cool graphics! Amazing work! Although in the water pump level the colliders and controls got a little buggy, my player started to move left when I have Shift, 'A/W' key and space pressed at the same time. I started moving in the opposite direction whenever I tried to do this. Otherwise, this is one of the best games I have played in Ludum Dare!!
I love the gameplay of that game :D
Fantastic pixel art, great atmosphere, and intelligent puzzles. I'm going to come back to it when I have more time to work out the later levels. Great job!
Amazing, I love this kinda pixel art. It gives me the vibe of classic pixel horror or story based games. But the hard part is the instant kill or reset when you touch the enemy, I don't know why but when It resets I got frustrated and don't want to replay the level again. At least give more checkpoints to the level or adds HP so it wont instantly die. because imo it would give the player chance to explore and feel the experience of the gameplay.
Nice! There was a lot more depth to the puzzles than I would have expected, with the second level being my favorite. Like an previous poster, I also skipped the "intended" solution to the fuel silo puzzle by simply jumping from above.
Lots of good decisions with your design here -- you really made the most of what you had, telling a story with minimal effort and using ambient background audio. I'm pretty impressed by the sheer amount of artwork here. There's even some nice lighting/shading effects!
Excellent Pixel Art and great mood. Some bug though, zombies disappeared and audio got stuck on last level at the tower. Like the difficulty on the puzzles.
Great entry! Only had some trouble with the ladders
It's a very good pixel art. The puzzle game type is appreciable and permit the story narration. Good entry!
Very nice! I had to finish it :grin: I'm sure people have brought up these issues before, but there's so much feedback that I'm not going to check for that.. anyway, the main thing I noticed is that I wanted to have a skip button that would allow me to speed up the text scenes :) Some issues with going down ladders, but that could've been the WebGL version. The first puzzle was really good! Could probably have one before starts out a little bit easier, but even that might not be necessary. Overall a very solid entry! Thanks!
The graphics and audio on this are really great. Some of the mechanics are a little jank (particularly the ladders). I also accidentally hit restart once since it is right in between the use key and the raise/lower platforms keys. Those are really minor complaints though and this is a really great entry.
