LD46 — Keep it alive

Protector by blubberquark 2020-04-23T16:56:27Z

This game is very interesting and a puzzle at times. The art style is pretty neat and the barbarian controls very fluid. Very LISA-esque but has humor. I didn't hear any audio unfortunately but otherwise good stuff!

Keep the light alive by AltTabber 2020-04-23T15:45:32Z

The mood in this game was great.

The placement of items were enough to give me hope to find the exit. The music was also well set as the lack of it in the beginning with the exception of sound effects granted some anxious anticipation. The light effect was really cool and items like the flare were also really great for variety. Finally the Art is pretty nice on gray scale and it was cool to see quarter views of the character(when you hold down up arrow and left for example).

Good stuff!

A Support's Burden by TomBuston 2020-04-21T18:34:48Z

This was a good game from a really interesting perspective, i enjoyed the graphics, got stuck on the second room however, and I got a little frustrated with the knight looking around when it seemed he already knew what to do.

Overall great gameplay and very innovative, a bit of a headache with the inverse directions and such but I enjoyed it.

Sons of the Boulder Goddess by superpatch 2020-04-21T18:37:11Z

art and sound was on point, gameplay was good as well with controls a little messy.

Embers by Anuke 2020-04-21T18:57:19Z

this was pretty awesome game, I really enjoyed it but I had some difficulty getting things to craft. Overall great game, randomly generated levels give great replay ability

A Guy and his Princess by neowhoru 2020-04-21T14:42:55Z

Interesting concept/story, but also not very challenging

Bottom Up by srknvrnbskrt 2020-04-21T18:44:23Z

I enjoyed this game, my one complaint would be it got hard pretty fast, and I had no clue I was about to sink. Also I would pay to be able to attack the sea monster

Lumberjack by Andre Gugelmin 2020-04-21T19:20:44Z

fast paced, easy for quick play sessions, i was a little confused on if I should hit the birds or avoid them, but overall great game!

Keep it Ali...ens! by Eldar 2020-04-22T22:30:26Z

This really reminds me of dwarf fortress, I love this aesthetic a lot!

The style of the game alongside the humor seemed to fit well with the graphics. I do believe that the controls were a little rough. I personally think that the speed it takes to glide along the screen is a tad tedious. I do understand the limitations you had by your engine, but I am sure that others would argue that it would be pretty neat to shoot and move. Aside from that, I really loved the diversity in enemy movement too and overall I loved the style of your game!

Chivalric Saga by tutoa 2020-04-22T05:58:35Z

Fast paced and addictive gameplay. Art and Sound were on point :)

Dozy Dungeon by Lesslwo 2020-04-22T22:08:52Z

Really enjoyed this one! As other folks mention, this game would certainly benefit with sound. However, I loved the graphics and the idea even more!

PRECURSOR by thaniel 2020-04-21T19:21:37Z

To The Sky by darksylvok1 2020-04-21T19:06:55Z

Nice and easy game, very enjoyable, good replayablity, understand what others are saying on music being a little repetitve.

@timetravelhamster thanks! and @lvl76blastoise thanks! part of the challenge certainly is keeping up with the robot, the chairs and ottomans are draggable and you can use them to wack the robot away when we might have otherwise been stuck.

@j-c-one-bit-studio thanks for playing! working on fixing those colliders. @fractal-flower-girl thanks for playing! part of the challenge is finding the robot, I agree with your statement to an extent (there's a new version coming soon that fixes this). @fraanns that's part of the challenge, but if I decide to re-release, I will definately increase the camera scope. working on fixing collisions as well. @kregames bummer, thanks for playing though! i had a difficult time deciding what view would be best, and i actually was thinking of an arrow but Monday came a little to fast for me, but great feedback!

@james-dunlap Hi! this is Ethan, the art lead of this game. To answer your question, the art we used from opengameart.org was the title screen background wrench image, and the "q" keyboard key image for when you get an achievement. Thank you again for playing our game!
