LD43 — Sacrifices must be made

RAT LABS by Flatgub 2018-12-06T04:07:27Z

From reading it I like the concept and was able to build conveyers, splitters, and research labs. I saw the goal which was to build a research lab and conveyer belt which I did (I got rats going into each of the 4 doors as well). But it never seemed to give me the next goal?

Bloop Bloop! by Meenners 2018-12-05T06:09:59Z

Cool concept! Without reading the instructions and jumping right in I got a basic intuition for the game very quickly! I of course went back and read them after but I was impressed with how self explanatory the game was. I found that after a certain point there seemed to be too few bloops to make a combo which lead to the game very slowly ending. I suppose I could have just let a few die from disease to end it faster at that point! Good job!

Crimson Chaos by frostByte4k 2018-12-05T06:32:23Z

Nice take on the theme. It took a bit to figure out the basic mechanics and best way to use them (for example doing a "blood sweep" but once I got the hang of it it was a cool new mechanic. I found myself not paying any attention to my meters when it actually mattered because I was so focused on timing my blood correctly to get a bunch at once.

Offering by ryzy27 2018-12-06T04:47:49Z

Wow this is awesome! Very unique concept applied in a clever way. I found some of the puzzles surprisingly clever for such simple mechanics. The only part that really bugged me was that if you touched the block below spikes from the side it seemed to kill you. It made a few of the puzzles a lot more challenging than it felt like they should have been. Overall really fun game though!

King Of The Building by Tiberiusuciu 2018-12-04T02:57:06Z

Awesome game! I have not made it to the top yet but I am dying to know what is up there! Sometimes it seems like there are no/very few people on the rafters so I have no way of getting further ahead of the laser. Is there rubber banding while the laser is off-screen to keep you from finishing way ahead of it?

Domino Dash by ditzel 2018-12-04T05:48:57Z

Good concept! I would love a sandbox mode of this! I was having a lot of trouble with camera movement for the later levels that required more camera manipulation. Sometimes it seems to glitch out away from the dominos so I just have to restart.

Santa's Slay by NateTheGreat 2018-12-04T23:14:02Z

@hadryel thanks! And there are actually several more levels. It looks like you found a bug if it froze there. Thanks for the feedback, we will look into it!

Cross the Hell by Oxygenium 2018-12-05T06:15:34Z

I found the second level very difficult. It was fun though! It reminds me of those "4d" games that allow you to shift perspective to go through or around 3d objects.

Jetsam by Zeaga 2018-12-04T03:21:21Z

Fun concept! Without reading the description, I thought it was a boston tea party game. Is the level randomly generated every time? Some levels seemed a lot harder than others due to a lot of the boxes having a high or even amount of gold and not much weight!

Faster Than Wind by alhime 2018-12-05T06:26:42Z

I like the concept and after several plays started to get some idea what was going on. I thought I was winning as I was getting pretty close to home and when I got a message saying that the seas were merciful it suddenly said I died. Trying again I got a message that pirates hat attacked with some stats on the damage done but then it just said I lost without explanation. I found the only strategy just to be to ditch any crew members that get sick which I guess is fitting for the theme!

Ranch of the Gods by Vodish 2018-12-04T03:31:33Z

Cool game! I only found one bug. It seems to happen occasionally when I pick up the wrong animal and try to make a sacrifice. When I try to put the animal down it makes a duplicate of the animal and then keeps the animal in my hands. After that I cant seem to put it down or pick anything else up. When I refreshed I could avoid this bug and it was quite fun. Sound effects were particularly impressive!

Cull the herd (HTML Game) by Ninnec 2018-12-06T04:20:24Z

I love games that incorporate unique concepts like natural (or in this case unnatural) selection! For the creature selection stage I didn't really have a strategy besides clicking the ones with the worst stats but it felt like it took a pretty long time. The platforming felt a bit slippery and I got stuck in a few places but still a fun game overall!

LD46 — Keep it alive

Keep The Beat Alive! by Willops 2020-04-23T07:28:20Z

I don't normally like rhythm games but this one was really fun and although I can't place it, brought something I enjoy to a genre I generally avoid! Nice job! (It probably would be a copyright issue but the song Staying Alive and corresponding scene from The Office definitely come to mind here)

The Sword of Saturn by tinykidtoo 2020-04-21T02:16:44Z

Challenging with an interesting mechanic added with the sword and healing/using blood to do things!

Untitled Phoenix Game by CptFinn 2020-04-21T02:56:28Z

This game has an awesome combination of mood and style! Well done!

For Ducks' Sake by GaryS 2020-04-23T07:40:58Z

Fun entry, I don't know if it was a bug but when I first lost all my chicks I was left to just wander around and shoot glitchy gnomes that appeared in the corners? At first I had the same complaint as others about 360 shooting but I agree with your comment above that it would be way too easy then and the restricted shooting mechanic has it's own charm. Still I would like to see some other mechanic to add another level of depth to the game and perhaps extend the replayability. Overall good entry and congrats on your first jam!

Game of Life by GreenAndSubmarine 2020-04-21T01:47:37Z

Fun twist on the game of life! Although for me the strategy ended up being pretty simple in the end, sometimes you just get unlucky from the start.

Hope by Darylsteak 2020-04-21T02:44:37Z

Really nice scenery! Wanted to play more but I couldn't seem to get past the ladder puzzle. In the browser version it seemed impossible unless I am missing something?

Rise of the Purple Slime by NateTheGreat 2020-04-20T19:47:59Z

@wizzardMaker Thanks for the feedback! I wished we could make it fast forward as well but unfortunately the fluid simulation was just too expensive to run any faster in the web!

Metagame by itsonrandom 2020-04-20T19:44:24Z

I like the idea! This was one of the options I was heavily considering as well in the brainstorming phase. Music was very good. My only issue while playing was that the blocks were very small so I had to do a ton of right clicking to properly block the monsters. Maybe right click and drag would have helped this?

FLOWER by ShivArt 2020-04-21T02:00:59Z

Wow, the graphics, music, and mood were absolutely phenomenal in this! Reminds me of a cross between limbo and wall-e. Gameplay left a bit to be desired as far as mechanics but it was so enjoyable to just watch.

ZenTuree by wischi 2020-04-20T19:56:09Z

I had to play the fast version to get a better feel for the game. The slow version reminds me of when I would play cookie clicker and leave a tab open for days, occasionally going back to click a few buttons. Keeping the tree growing even with your browser closed is a nice touch! My first instinct when I swamped my poor sapling was to refresh but to no avail.

Runaway by HackTrout 2020-04-20T19:37:23Z

Nice entry, Graphics were very nicely stylized! I got really confused at first because I went left and thought I was supposed to be escaping the train. Spawning in the front train would probably help avoid confusion since the text is concealed until you go to the right.

Primed by gimblll 2020-04-23T06:54:42Z

Nice game! Short and sweet. I really like the art style and it left me wishing there were a few more levels to play around in. The twist is good. It provides a nice ah-ha moment and really makes you feel like the game maker is one step ahead.

Lost Souls by Raineii 2020-04-23T07:09:43Z

Very spooky vibe. Amazing overall art and sound. I really enjoyed playing. I even found another fire pit and was able to light it and get a log on but unfortunately didn't get it bright enough in time for the shadows to come out and kill me. Wasn't sure what benefit the chests provided that spawned? Great entry overall!

Trumpet-chan's Dungeon by Narwaffles 2020-04-21T01:00:27Z

Fun concept. The moody lighting was cool at first but my torches kept dying really quickly so I resorted to turning my brightness all the way up. I'm not sure if there were some invisible walls but the zombies seem to have some sort of boundary and there are certain places I was having trouble jumping.

The Zombies Away From Me by Sebastian Caron 2020-04-20T19:30:46Z

Nice short game, very challenging with a laptop and even with a mouse! Music and sound effects were fitting as well.

No Spray, No Pay by LukeBandy 2020-04-20T20:05:20Z

These sounds are really nice and atmosphere is great! I like the retro 3d graphics as well. The pace seemed well balanced from starting out not knowing what to do to frantically going back and forth between flowers and taps.

OwOrbit by AudreyC 2020-04-21T01:20:50Z

Nice cute look and music especially for an apocalyptic mechanic! Very difficult as well. I was never able to hold onto moon that long but since saving it seemed optional I ended up just using it and the other planets I picked up as a shield.

Keep Campfire On by FedeOlive 2020-04-23T07:18:16Z

Good simple but complete game. I enjoyed the music and the balancing act! My only negative feedback is that it felt a bit repetitive after a while as nothing new or novel happened. Perhaps powerups or different items or events could help with this. Overall, good job! I enjoyed playing

Greedy Monsters by Yadir2447 2020-04-21T02:24:19Z

Fun entry! The difficulty ramps up very quickly as the screen gets crowded. My only issue was the main character movement felt very slidey like I was on ice almost so it was a bit difficult to control.

SAVE THE DINOS! by marcusnystrand 2020-04-21T00:38:37Z

Cool concept, and good combination of music and art! The one thing I had trouble with was that the difficulty varies a lot from game to game. For instance in some games I would get some very fast moving asteroids that hit them in the first few asteroids but other times I was waiting for quite a while before the fast asteroids started coming.

Outbreak Control by HammerCar 2020-04-21T01:38:49Z

Very challenging but a good example of exponential spread and how easy/hard it can be to maintain in different circumstances!

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

The Magic Steak by chispaLBC 2020-10-09T02:28:07Z

Nice concept! It seems pretty similar to our game as well (playing the same level over and over differently). I didn't quite understand what the red ground was but it didnt seem to hurt. Overall great atmosphere and well balanced but quite difficult at times!

Inbreak by lamonfly 2020-10-09T02:33:49Z

Wow nice unique concept! Quite challenging at first but once I got the hang of it, it was enjoyable for quite a few levels. Felt like there was a bit of a cheating strategy where you can eliminate a significant section of a ring by getting the ball to almost roll on the inside and spinning it quickly but it was hard to set up intentionally.

Seeker by NateTheGreat 2020-10-11T00:49:15Z

@parkuhrmd Nice! I added more clues for completeness.

@vivien-fargette Added more clues to this post as as I realize this is a niche genre and I also did not have enough time to cleanly tie together all of the puzzles or make in game hints.

@rangoiv nice! I was expecting that at least one person randomly gets it at some point. Check out the bird or turn on your volume for a clue.

Pumpkalanes by epb9000 2020-10-09T07:03:58Z

As others said I ate all of the pumpkins at first before realizing my time was not going down. It was cool to start to remember parts of the loop and plan ahead which route I should take. My only issue was that the controls seemed a bit unintuitive since the ghost seems to rotate around a point rather than slide left to right so sometimes it seemed like I would back into a pumpkin and eat it. Good entry and cute graphics!

ME! vs the unrelenting alien invasion by Human Writes Code 2020-10-09T06:21:47Z

Good job, fun entry! Really keeps you on your toes trying to track your own ship and the alien ships. Also a clever way to tie in a bit of realism (orbiting things) in a genre that usually disregards gravity as a way to fit the theme.

Break In Stay In by wizard sino 2020-10-09T07:14:42Z

My first thought: I always love a good physics-ey platformer game.

After exploring a bit: rooms seem to change as you go further, wonder the next one will be, is there a pattern...

Next room: ahhh that is creepy... and I died

Seems like you can go for a while sometimes without getting any ghost but once I got a ghost on the third room (I think)! My only issue was getting stuck behind the chandelier in the upside down room. I think you may not be detecting the ground under the player so I can be on the chandelier and not be able to jump due to not being grounded?

ENILEMIT by Wxzuir 2020-10-09T06:13:18Z

Very difficult game. Definitely some potential for interesting gameplay mechanics here. I think my main frustration was that there seemed to be a delay or rate limit on clicking. For example I wanted to spam click a button sometimes or just click it twice really quickly to delay the timeline a bit but the controls were not fast enough to respond. Maybe this is this intentional to make it harder though. I wasn't a huge fan of having to watch a whole cycle before a restart. Maybe the first time you play a level it is ok but if you die several times it gets a bit old. Very atmospheric and relaxing despite the difficulty overall though. Good entry, enjoyed it!

Ringchaser by jordantanner 2020-10-09T02:42:11Z

Wow that was very difficult, quite relaxing just to focus on one color but trying to get all of them in only 2 loops was borderline impossible. I had the same blooming issue above in the browser but it only happened when I exited a run and replayed. Good job, enjoyed the calm atmosphere!

Full Ascend by shaner421 2020-10-11T01:52:34Z

Looks beautiful with very nice platforming mechanics but very laggy as others have said. I think it was also a bit too difficult but this may have been due to the lag. I noticed a minor bug where some things do not spawn in or wait too long to spawn in at some points.

Boot Loop by Ventuscaclium 2020-10-09T02:55:36Z

Wow that got difficult. I like the theme and how at first it seems easy and then it turns into a puzzle that makes you think!

Raildle by DrSomma 2020-10-06T14:56:12Z

Fun game and a good idea! I ended up doing a ton of small tight loops since there didn't seem to be any benefit to longer tracks (you get more money linearly it appears but it also takes linearly longer cancelling out!). Even with this strategy it took a bit long to get started. I think one improvement would be to make the amount of money you get increase greater than linearly the longer the track so you are incentivized to make longer tracks. I also thought at first that the trees and rocks would maybe make me more money by being more "scenic" but after some experimentation didn't find any increase in profitability from going by making it more scenic. There is definitely a good base game here with a lot of potential!

Stuck by SnailRhymer 2020-10-09T07:24:30Z

I love this art style! Reminds me of world of goo style graphics but maybe a little more pencil drawn and less toony. Good work and very well stylized.

LDJRodeo by Oinktato 2020-10-09T02:47:04Z

Nice unique take on the theme. I was avoiding all of the items for a while because I thought they would block me so I didn't score well at first.

Don't Go by ubershmekel 2020-10-09T06:56:28Z

Cool idea and good implementation. I have considered making games like this several times but never actually tried. I am impressed with how well you are able to help the player build a mental map based on the sounds. Would have liked to have had more variety of sounds to indicate more complex terrain but this is really good given the time constraints! The snakes part got me and for several rounds I would sprint/jump through the snake section until I realized at one point that the snakes never actually got me and I could just walk through :P

Swing-by by HIKO_game 2020-10-09T06:05:41Z

Very hard to control at first but ended up having a lot of fun after I got the hang of it, reminds me of a retro version of the angry birds space physics (although I am sure there are older games that is based off of). Good work!

Super ∞ by ToSMaster 2020-10-09T05:29:08Z

This is great. I really like the concept, mood and gameplay! The puzzles are interesting and challenging and it is right on theme for both the main theme and upcoming Halloween!

Looper by Shortbread 2020-10-11T02:01:32Z

Nice job, really gives me Nintendo vibes with the music and graphics style. Very simple but well polished!

VHS Loop by Sayuri 2020-10-09T06:38:39Z

Wow nice challenging puzzles. Definitely took a bit of thinking and a few tries to get some of the puzzle. Clever use of the theme as well to add an extra layer to the traditional key/door puzzle games!

Looped by Leo Red 2020-10-09T07:28:29Z

Simple idea but had some nice "self balancing" features. As the circle around you gets smaller this makes it easier, not harder but as you shoot enemies they get smaller making them hard to hit. I found it too hard to hit some of the smallest circles however. Good work!

The Bender by superkoekje 2020-10-11T01:56:44Z

The visual at the beginning was nice. I think there is room to expand this mechanic more. I didn't quite understand the story. The hardest thing to figure out was the rocket but this may be a screen resolution thing as the piece I needed was just off the bottom of my screen.

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Deep Dive by Frederika 2021-04-27T02:53:07Z

Nice entry, enjoyable submarine game! The animals and graphics overall are very cute.

Guard Duty by frozenfire92 2021-04-27T02:57:49Z

Fun little platformer and nice pixel art!

Diggy, the dog! by MitoBattousai 2021-04-27T01:35:15Z

Cute graphics and good setup story. My only feedback on gameplay is that controls were a bit difficult since they were reversed. It looks like it would make a good mobile game with tilt or touch controls!

The Frozen Deep by Mads 2021-04-27T00:46:05Z

Wow, that was an unexpected turn... :D Good job and I enjoyed the story as well.

DnD - Descending and Descending by Juan Matias 2021-04-26T22:22:54Z

Nice game! Very difficult at first but after a few tries I got used to it. Kind of reminds me of the impossible game with a hint of flappy bird. Also the ever decreasing sound of the music was a nice subtle theme appropriate touch!

Deep Mine by NateTheGreat 2021-04-27T06:45:54Z

Thanks for all the great comments and feedback!

@frozenfire92 The code is a bit of a mess so probably not the best threejs example code, but I'm glad if it helps!

@nephronhunter the tree fires were something that happened accidentally and I left it in because it was funny. Sorry it backfired for you! Maybe they shouldn't have built the shop so close to that tree...

@Catomag It just barely works performance wise. I did all of the optimizations mentioned in the Noita tech talk minus the multithreading. I consider myself lucky that so far I haven't had any comments saying it runs too slowly :)

Deep Mine by NateTheGreat 2021-04-29T06:26:39Z

@alchemic sorry to hear that! There are some major issues that happen when the FPS dips below a certain threshold which doesn't take much due to it being written in JS. Did you try it in chrome? From my testing chrome is the fastest and firefox/IE both run significantly slower.

@lenophie In the description I only mentioned it briefly but I can provide more details here: The engine was made a while ago based on the Noita tech talk at GDC where they spill their secrets  I was intending to release the engine on its own since I don't think there are any engines/plugins out there that provide something similar to the "Falling everything engine" but I kind of lost interest and it became a dead project. I realized it would work perfectly for this jam so I used it as the engine for this game even though it is incomplete, hopefully this inspires me enough to pick it back up and finish the engine enough to release it!

How Low Can You Go? by DanCan 2021-04-26T22:19:43Z

Nice simple but fun game! The lighting is a nice subtle touch.

Wrath of the Stone by squirmonkey 2021-04-27T03:37:08Z

I love the reverse-digdug idea! It is pretty entertaining setting traps and watching them fall for them. I found it way too hard to click them before they get to where they are going to actually form a plan so I just ended up setting random traps in good general places.

Deep Mine by The1 2021-04-26T19:06:50Z

I had to take a look since this game has the same name as mine! Nice simple concept, since I skipped the tutorial, it took a bit to figure out the energy thing and then after that it seemed relatively easy to never run out or die. The smooth movement was a nice touch even though in reality you are locked into a grid!

A Sinking Feeling by rpgfaker 2021-04-27T01:20:31Z

Really nice atmosphere and graphics and a very difficult game.

Rusty goes Deep by etom 2021-04-26T19:33:11Z

Nice game, fun concept and unique idea! The fireflies fade so quickly and provide almost no light so it felt like I only had one try to do each thing with a very minimal amount of light. It was pretty fun until I got frustrated on one part I couldn't pass. This is a very very difficult first level, I think it would help get people more immersed in it if you had some easier levels to start and maybe a bit brighter firefly light.

Just keep sinking by MinThaMie 2021-04-26T22:55:58Z

Loved the graphics! Layout and controls are also perfect for mobile. Do you intend to do a mobile port? Also I noticed your source looks like it is all written in JS from scratch! I do this for my Ludum Dare entries as well but it is exceedingly rare to find games not made in Unity, Gamemaker, etc!

Gone Fishing by matthewi 2021-04-27T04:00:47Z

Very relaxing game and fun to look out for new species of fish!

Penguin Paradise by LucaVazz 2021-04-27T03:27:01Z

Fun crafting game with a surprising amount of depth! I think I was accidentally murdering my penguins at first by clicking the fairy penguin vs cape penguin buttons to see what they did then I noticed my penguin number would go down!

In Search of Sigmund I by T C 2021-04-27T01:56:26Z

Really nice sub exploration game. I liked the variety of enemies. I didn't understand if I "beat" the ending or if there was nothing to beat but it looked like I was taking damage so I just dodged for a while and it worked.

Fry Hard by marrero171 2021-04-27T02:45:13Z

That went from casual shooter to bullet-hell really fast! Nice entry!

Deep Space by Cole Hutson 2021-04-27T02:03:40Z

Nice entry! Is it just me or does speed seem more like a downgrade (makes it way harder)?

Goblin Heist by Halberd 2021-04-27T01:27:42Z

Wow this was pretty challenging. Good atmosphere and fun to play as well! There were a few gems on some levels that seemed impossible without getting caught and losing a few points but I might have just been missing something.

birb by Glaas 2021-04-27T01:10:24Z

Nice entry! I enjoyed the graphics and music and animation. :sunglasses: The only part that confused me a bit is that it was hard to tell the underlying mechanics like if moving an inch would let me find something different or do I need to move a little further?

Pâquerette Down the Bunburrow by Herbie Puppy 2021-04-29T06:20:58Z

Really great puzzle game! The mechanic is unique and challenging but not impossible, a really hard balance to strike in such a short time. I was able to find 2 baby bunnies but haven't figured out the other 2 yet (I think you mentioned there were 4?) I got the last bunny to go to the elevator but then it just walks right through it! :P

Tank Knight: LD48 Tactics by KyleTheCoder 2021-04-27T02:38:14Z

Fun little tactical turn based game! It got a bit slow to wait for all of the enemies to move individually some times when there were a ton but overall I enjoyed it!

Spooky Woods by Harrison Gottlieb 2021-04-26T19:42:06Z

Wow, the atmosphere, music, and graphics were all amazing! Well polished and it was nice to have a story to go along with a game as well.

Deepest Dungeon by yobiscus 2021-04-27T04:12:06Z

Very easy to miss some of those turns and then be out of time! Well done, good atmosphere and mini story!

Dwarven Mines by rgb-games 2021-04-26T19:17:47Z

Mining games are my favorite! This was a fun little game, my only feedback is that aiming with the mouse seems to be off but that might have something to do with the itch.io page being glitchy (I had to use full screen to see the full game window).

MinesweeperDeeper by DainTheDeer 2021-04-27T02:31:09Z

Good entry and really interesting concept! The mechanics of trying to solve just enough to safely delete a few numbers to continue moving down are novel and challenging.

LD41 — Combine 2 Incompatible Genres

Clidger by Mathiouza 2018-04-24T02:25:50Z

This was really fun but hard to play at first. I felt like the ship controls were very slippery and I got stuck at getting around 300k points per round and had a hard time progressing past that because the next level items were so expensive. It needs some balancing but I think this game has a lot of potential!

Line 'em Up by mao 2018-04-24T01:58:34Z

This is really challenging! The first time I played I only got 2 points and thought it was impossibly hard but somehow the second time I got 77 so it takes some getting used to but was a lot of fun after that. Good Job!

PE@CE by bwalter 2018-04-23T03:19:29Z

Very fun game! It has an impressive number of levels for a game jam entry! I kept expecting to be at the end but unfortunately got stuck on one of the harder levels before finishing. The graphics being all ascii characters were distracting at first but once I got used to them, they didn't bother me anymore. I really like the effects and animations done with such a limited number of shapes.

Racing Tower Defense by Flying Cat of the Pepes 2018-04-25T01:32:58Z

Overall a really fun game and a good concept! I felt like the obstacles didn't stand out much and were very hard to see from the busy background but I really liked the variety of towers, cars, and enemies!

Matching Towers by sky_fighter 2018-04-25T02:13:26Z

This was a great game! I love tower defense games so I started focusing on that then I realized that I had to really aggressively play the match 3 game on the side at the beginning to load up on towers. My only complaint is I cant remove the weaker towers when I have already placed them and when I would click to place a tower in an invalid spot I had to go back to the menu to pick it up again. Great game though! It would be fun to play more levels!

This was a pretty decent game, however it was kind of frustrating that the towers did not aim ahead. Putting a mini gun to the side means it will always miss and never get a single hit so I had to resort to mini guns down the middle and shot guns down the sides. Good job though!

Text Based Adventure by patvanmackelberg 2018-04-23T04:14:50Z

This is a really great game! I felt like my player was a bit fragile and sometimes died suddenly thinking I was at full health but I may have just been losing hearts and not realizing it. Those rockets are OP when enemies use them! I also got stuck for a bit on level 3 trying to find the exit and almost gave up and decided the game must only have 3 levels. Also the destructible trees were a nice touch!

The Black Market of Fun by mikethewayne 2018-04-28T18:08:56Z

I liked the concept a lot! It was really difficult to not get caught while browsing the stores and I felt like there were too many police. Perhaps if there were fewer police at first and they ramped up over time that would feel more balanced? Good job!

FEED by drprettypatty 2018-04-25T01:51:13Z

Pretty fun game! It was really difficult and I was never able to beat it but I did find the boat at the end of the bridge and then started walking on water :D

Gradioid by BeamKirby 2018-04-25T02:42:59Z

Very hard shooter game, I wanted a way to shoot diagonally to get those pesky towers in the corners. Good job!

I really like the graphics and style and the idea! I just wish there were a better way to mine more coins more quickly! Good job

土星の台頭 - Saturn Rising by p-r 2018-04-24T01:48:02Z

The concept was very interesting. I definitely could have used a tutorial level or even a wall of text to explain how things worked at the beginning. I thought the game kept freezing so I would refresh but then I realized I was running out of energy. If it is impossible to keep going after running out of energy perhaps the game could restart automatically at that point or some sort of game over screen could show up? This was a good idea but I found it very hard to get started!

It was a fun first level, I wish there were more! Took a while for me to realize you could kill the octopus things! Congrats on learning a new engine, it is difficult enough without a time constraint.

Puck Off by Matthew Roelle 2018-04-23T02:50:20Z

Fun game! It was very difficult at first but once I started paying more attention to setting up positionally for a future shot I was able to score. It would be awesome to be randomly paired and have an online version of this but that is probably out of the scope of a game jam!

Iocus Navis by Ranzor 2018-04-25T01:05:50Z

The gameplay was really fun! A few times I ended up with all of the same card and didnt have any choice though. It is apparent the enemies are playing with similar rules to the player but their if their movement was smooth it might help it look like they came from somewhere instead of just appearing. I would love to see more cards like turn right and shoot or move and shoot or some sort of wild card. That might really spice up the gameplay along with alternative goals!

Twin Stick Runner by utoxin 2018-04-25T01:17:28Z

It was a fun start to the game. I was hoping for some powerups or more types of weapon but I quickly got overwhelmed a few minutes in. It's a good concept and I would definitely like to see it taken further!

Blind Faith by LMB 2018-04-25T02:35:59Z

This was very difficult and I am still not sure I got the hang of it. There is quite a learning curve so a tutorial level would help! I wish I could get further in the game to give you better feedback though. Music is very good for being a kazoo and a pilates ball! I didn't even realize it until I read the bottom of your description.

Adventure Defense by NateTheGreat 2018-04-23T03:51:56Z

@Serious07 Towers are crafted directly under you (on the nearest grid square) as soon as you click the craft button. I realize it would be better to place it with the mouse but I never got back to implementing that before I ran out of time! The mini map was made because it was very difficult to find the center of the map again once you went too far out!

@ab200 @patvanmackelberg thanks for the feedback on mouse input, after playing a few full games without my development cheat codes on I completely agree.. Once you get the metal tools, it is only one click :)

@merrak thanks!

This was a lot of fun! Very strategic and well thought out!

Casual Warfare by Armadillq 2018-04-24T02:01:57Z

I thought my keys were broken and stopped to switch to another window and make space and c were working... you got me! :P

Hawt Ballz by galactic0wl 2018-04-23T03:41:45Z

I think this is a fun concept but I had a really hard time with the first level. I kept having to shoot randomly off of the sides of the screen when the ball stopped just off the edge and I couldn't see it. The bullets seemed to hit the ball really hard as well so it took a long time for me to beat the first level. I really wanted to use WASD to control the ship, having to move the mouse around just to inch to the side to line up a shot was difficult and having side and back arrows would really help the controls.

Hedge-Hop by Juutis 2018-04-28T18:30:18Z

Fun concept. There seemed to be a bug with collisions where when I hit a platform from the side while moving upward and it would stop all vertical movement like I hit a ceiling. I would also like to see more enemy types or perhaps some use of the 3d space that wouldnt normally be in a platformer like hidden passages behind stuff. Good job!

Don't Fry Michel ! by Vladadamm 2018-04-28T18:18:09Z

This was a pretty fun platformer/shooter. I felt like the controls for the fish were a bit slippery feeling which may have been intentional since it is a fish so that definitely biased the play toward the shooter. Fun game though!

Math Blast! by Joe Zabriskie 2018-04-25T02:55:16Z

Great sounds! I liked the game but it was very hard to aim for the correct answer with all of the moving enemies!

Match 'n Slash by Lemons 2018-04-24T02:49:01Z

Really impressive game! It is challenging to go back and forth between survival and match 3 crafting! The only issue I saw when the zombies came after me I was able to hide off the top edge of the map but then my character was stuck and I couldn't see how to get out.

Dig Knight by Pixels Everywhere 2018-04-24T02:35:55Z

Nice art and music! Reminds me of a vertical flappy bird with the sound effect and jumping!

Legion Academy (LD41) by LegionGames 2018-04-25T01:23:32Z

Fun short game! It felt like aiming was a bit of a gamble and I didn't feel like I was able to get better at it. Occasionally I would see this weird flat white item appear at the bottom of some boxes. Not sure what that is, I kept trying to go toward it but it would move :P
