@JCMonkey yeah making the game rewarding skill-wise was a challenge I can't say I managed to overcome. :( Thank you for playing though!
I found myself with the same problem where attacks would always miss due to the enemies moving, I think an easy fix would be a larger projectile. The pen that you shoot can really thread the needle between those sheets of paper! Otherwise not a bad concept 👍
Nice little game...Quite hard to hit anything...The problem I am having is that the game isn't stretch well so I can't see the whole buttons. Otherwise theme is suiting.
Stressful is the right word :) I've managed to deal with 4 before get killed. Just keep the distance guys :) Also it would be nice to had the GO button located somewhere near the action buttons. I was moving my mouse from side to side like a crazy :) But it's just a details. Good job!
@Sky Thanks for the input! That's a really nice idea. I felt a bit tied down with the size of the pen by how well it looked when the character held it. I think I could have just increased its size gradually once it was flying.
@theBOSS12 4 hours before the deadline I realized that there's other screen resolutions as well. :DDD I'll be wiser for it next time.
@petro-shoferystov Thank you! A smoother transition between choosing attacks, moves & different turns is definitely something this game needed. I'll confess I probably would have gotten rid of half the buttons if I wasn't proud of how they looked. :D
Interesting concept and a solid game overall. I would have liked some hotkeys to speed up the gameplay but other than that it was quite fun! Good job!
It's interesting and well done. Hm, I'm troubled with the importance of movement here. Enemies spawn at a certain distance from the center, and when you move you can't attack... So, you can just no move at all. Making the enemies shoot "random" also helps to that.
@GettingRekt Thank you! :) Yeah, I prioritized some things over hotkeys that I shouldn't have. After playing for a while it becomes a real drag to make 5 clicks every move. :/
@ccglp Damn, should have made the rules more clear or a tutorial would have helped, sorry. :( You can actually both move and attack in the same turn.
Interesting concept. Gameplay could be tweaked some, though.
You really have to think with this game. Really simple design, but complex situations. I had a lot of fun. Great job!
This was a fun little game! I enjoyed my time with it, and ended up getting a few points in the process.
Similar to ccglp, I wasn't quite clear on the instructions. To fix that, you should add some simple rules to this page. Obviously you can't change the game anymore, but you can at least add it here.
Also, to fix the problem with enemies moving, I would have given the player a small bit of control over the projectile. Maybe it would follow the mouse, or be slightly moved by the left/right keys. By adding that bit of skill, I think it would help a lot.
Otherwise, I had a lot of fun with this game. Great job!
It's nice that bullet hell has been made more palatable, but I'm thrown off guard by the somewhat unpredictable enemy AI.
@Chaseplays thank you for your input, that is a good idea.
Pretty fun little game! It's kind of hard to hit enemies from afar, but it seems a lot safer than being up close. As others have said, it would be nice to have some music in the background and also hotkeys to speed things up a little and reduce number of clicks required each turn. But overall, nice work, I enjoyed it!
Fun short game! It felt like aiming was a bit of a gamble and I didn't feel like I was able to get better at it. Occasionally I would see this weird flat white item appear at the bottom of some boxes. Not sure what that is, I kept trying to go toward it but it would move :P
Was a nice idea but seemed a little hard to play - I kept getting hurt and I had no idea why (are those little ball things in your screenshot the bullets? I never saw any of those). As others have said, the controls are a little clunky - I would do it so for each turn, you just click where you want to move to (or on the player if you don't want to move) then click where you want to attack (again, on the player if you don't want to attack - but why wouldn't you?), skip those buttons entirely (but maybe have the undo button for if you click in the wrong spot). The sound effects were good but some music would really help.
@NateTheGreat hahahaha :D Flat items on ground are where new enemies spawn. Just needed to show where enemies are going to spawn because you lose HP if you collide with them.
@slashee-the-cow Yeah, they're the bullets. To be honest, no idea what could be causing u to not see them.
Best I could do was 3
I suck at it, lol. Other than that, nice concept with solid implementation.
@Lerc Hahahahah yeah I could only get to around 10 myself :D
Blimey little sneaks hold still do I can shoot you. Fun game. Loved it.
The buttons are off the bottom of my screen when running at 2560x1600. Switching to a 16:9 resolution seems to fix it though.
Managed to get a score of 6! Nice little game. Quickly got very difficult to stay alive, and didn't seem like there was any possibility of doing so for long ^_^.
