This weekend has been a blast! I have had a lot of fun working with two talented developers @natethegreat and @scoodah and great artist @axelnavaja. I am very proud of what we were able to accomplish within the short time frame, and I definitely look forward to the next one. We are still going to try to get features in before tomorrow and added in art made by our other team member @axelnavaja!

Here is a gif our the engine we have been creating: shooting-temp.gif

Movement feels really floaty, it's very easy to kill enemies, and it wasn't clear to me why the game abruptly ended. I seemed to have full health, and then it was over.

I agree @botreats. Not bad when starting to move but start to feel like a hover craft moving at break neck speeds. Other than that I'm a sucker for top down procedural shooters. I didn't think the enemies were too easy to kill per say. It would be cooler to get some kind of snappy feed back from it though. I understand, no time for polish. I had the same problem in mine. The grid lines were a little distracting but I assume thats just for dev purposes.

All in all good job.

As other have noted the movement is a bit floaty but besides that it works quite well. Definitely isn't boring and the procedurally generated levels are nice touch (I know how much dev time proc-gen can take so I appreciated it)

I got to a point here I couldn't find more enemies to kill :( Fun game to play, the floaty movement is something to get used to, but I liked it :)

I like this game. Simple graphics but fun gameplay:) Only bug i found its taht sometimes enemies can spawn on You and its instant kill. But overall nice game!

Cool mechanics! It's actually similar to my game. I couldn't hear any music or sound which made it feel a bit "empty" at times. I liked the pace of the gameplay. Congrats!

I saw the artwork you posted, wanted to compliment the artist. The sprites look great, shame they didn't make it into the game, but I know all too well how that goes.

Nice game, I can see where you were going with it. The procedural generation works very well, although there are usually some inaccessible rooms.

Always nice to see a fellow Emscripten user, too! I'll let you know if I find a solution to the page scrolling issue ;)

Awesome! thanks for your feedback @alchemic! I followed you on github :D

I liked the clean, basic look of the graphics. (No really). I thought the controls felt fluid. But then I found that if I shoot an enemy, it doesn't die after 2-3 shots, but if they touch me even once, I'm dead. This feels unfair and not fun. Especially since there are so many of them, and it's easy to get surrounded. The game also completely lacks audio, which it needs. But I think with some further work this could be something good.

This was a lot of fun! I like the realtime twist on a typical roguelike, the times that things spawn directly on top of you was a bit unfortunate, but otherwise well done!

I like the procedurally created dungeon, but there wasn't any real reason to explore. Would like to have seen some powerups or health items to make you want to explore the dungeon.
