Looks funny, but anyway it's great
i could feel the excellent MOCAP of the cow
The game is very cool beside one bug when I could not restart the game
well done!!
Cow.
Managed to stay alive for 32 seconds :D Music fits in very well. At first I found the movement strange but then I kind of enjoyed the laziness.
Definitely the most realistic cow simulator I have had the chance to play. The excellent physics system demonstrated the precise abilities of a cow with such unfettered brilliance that I have no choice but to leave this a positive review.
The movement is a bit sloppy but the game is great!
It's quite simple, like a classic game. Anyway it's fun to play a round or two. My record is 1:01 minutes
This deserves to be on the awesomeness that is Mini Clip!
This is a pretty fun game! I think the accelerating controls would be even more fun if you could bounce the cow on the fence.
Highly realistic cow movement, especially that one move where cow starts to spin after hitting a barrier. This is a must play.
A nice excercise! I would try playing around more with the different physics knobs that you have to make the player feel more engaged. I really wanted to use the fences to bounce around, this could make for some cool evasive maneuvers but unfortunately the fences just slow me down in a game where all I want to do is go crazy! I like how you show me the score and also the time spent playing, but I think focusing on one of them could lead to a more concise experience. Good luck on your journey!
The music is nice and fits perfectly the game. Other aspects look very much like a first game project. Keep practicing and you'll end up making great games in no time !
Big plus for the music and nice idea! Great job.
Movement reaction speed could be improved a little i think :)
My cow started spinning at mach 20. Hit as many clowns as I could. Barrels were knocked into outer space. The haunted lasso now takes residence in my nightmares. Impeccable, life-like cow movements made me really _feel_ like a cow. cow/10.
Haha, way more fun spinning! The slow acceleration is frustrating sometimes, which actually makes me feel stuck in a loop (the fence, constantly turning which slows me down) in another way in addition to the lasso loop. Music is very simple but fits and manages to not be annoying in repetition (a trick I haven't figured out yet). Good job, a fun game!
I liked your game my congratulations, I also did one if you want to know, and give me your feedback I am very grateful, this is the link https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/47/resurrection
Loved the music ! It was really fun to play and the feeling of sliping on ice was fun ^^
Fun game!
Nice unique take on the theme. I was avoiding all of the items for a while because I thought they would block me so I didn't score well at first.
haha fun one! Wish the game had some animations and the controls weren't so hard but hey, It's a jam, I had fun and that's all what matters
It's clear that you are currently learning the engine and how stuff works, so there's a lot of things you will learn, that will help you next time, but if you carry on, I bet you'll surprise yourself soon enough with how big of a progress you've made :)
For the game, I'd say that you should've at least tweaked the physics, the cow felt more like a ship than an animal, also the cow started rotating after I hit the fence once, so maybe freeze z rotation on rigidbody component next time. It is also probably better to learn to code actual movement instead of using Unity physics, as you have both better control over the movement and less cpu overhead.
With controls this floaty and objects randomly spawning and despawning, it was actually unnecessarily hard to collect points, as when you finally manipulated the cow in the right direction, the object just despawned right in front of you, which was a bit infuriating, and it also took away any planing and strategy.
Also some at least basic animation would improve the feeling of the game.
It's good you managed the lasso loop to follow the cow tightly enough that it was actual threat, but not that tight that it was unavoidable. I'd be proud of that if I were you and I think it's definitely something you can build on!
Keep it up, I'm looking forward to see you next jam!
Movement and Rotations need some work, it would be better if the cow faces the way its moving, and controls feels way too sluggish. Overall good job!
