The use of real videos is a really cool idea! The costumes y'all had were very good and this is quite an original concept! Understanding how to appease the gods and what will anger them was a bit unclear to me.

I actually really like the vibe. And the use of videos. Old school vibe. I however am super confused. How am I supposed to get godly gold? It seems I can't build buildings because I can't get anything. All I can do each month is click on two Gods and play their videos. There also seem to be a couple of UI bugs.
This was super enjoyable to play! I did start to wonder what the inevitable was, and was expecting to get obliterated, but I must have pleased them well enough
I always enjoy jam games with voice acting and this does it even better :) Really fun idea. Takes me back to a time when FMV games was a thing. Sometimes the gods becam angry with me and I didn't know why. Apart from that this is a very interesting and solid entry.
@adrien-tremblay when the god has a coin icon, you get godly gold for completing the task
@adrien-tremblay when the god has a coin icon, visit them. You get godly gold for completing those tasks
I didn't understand how to play in the beginning but when I realized that I can click on god's dialog box it ran smoothly. Those costumes are so cool!
Really loved the FMV clips of all the gods. Very impressive getting a god game done in 3 days.
I love this game, the costumes are awesome and the screen writing is so good!
did you film the videos during the 3 days? that's quite some work! the mixed art vibe is quite interesting.
@vivyhasadream Yes we did! Pretty much all of Saturday was dedicated to it. We planned the idea and came up with specific request types and number we'd have the night before, but basically all of the details of the demands were made up more-or-less on the fly as we filmed.
Top marks. I spent an hour playing it. I downloaded the brutal/super hard package, because I love hardcoreness. Pretty good stuff. Got to month 9 with no red gods, but then it bugged out and I never got killed hahahaha. Went until month 20 till I quit. Really loved the gameplay mixed with the absolutely hilarious FMVs. You guys all rock!
@mrevilguy Good work! I'm so glad somebody tried hardcore mode. Dunno what you encountered with the month 20 thing, I've never seen that although I certainly believe it.

Fantastic! Hardcore. Played once and lost. Gave it another go and wow! Had a real nail-biter of an end game, Al Natural. 5s. Thank you all for the game! Playing again.
The game has a great sense of humor. The wardrobe is hilarious and the takes have just the right amount of jank. Some voice lines are hard to make out clearly due to sound quality, though. Points for the video tutorial that simultaneously introduced the mechanics and feel of the game.
The theme is represented very well and the resource balancing is engaging. Unfortunately, the UI doesn't seem to scale too well with larger screens, so I had to squint a little to make some elements out.
Great work overall -- you clearly made the most out of the limited resources!
Interesting... Never seen people record themselves before, humoristic level to the top!
omg wtf this is epic guys. Amazing job xd 420/69
I liked the gameplay loop, it has enough depth to keep the player engaged but even with the hardcore build it never felt "cheap" or sudden. But of course the real star here is the video... what an amazing feat! For a game that was made in three days, surely the FMV gives a different, more polished vibe. I didn't wanted to focus too much on the recordings because I found the game really enjoyable even without it, but they really add so much that it's impossible to ignore. Top notch humor! I love it!
This game must have got gods' attention. You're under supervision now. Overall, very brave and I believe you had lots of fun with the scenes. Fun developers' cameo game.
I love everything behind this game! The acting was great and hilarious at the same time, I'm loving the FMV approach and I'm sure you guys had a lot of fun while doing this!
The gameplay loop is rock solid, it's challenging, but fair and very satisfying!
One of my favorites!
could you perhaps make a webGL build? It would be both easier to play, and would include non windows systems
@blizzsuxx I would love to, but the video player doesn't work in the web build. It either crashes because the file is too big or the video displays as a black screen. I've got one more thing I want to try on that front, but for the time being I'm afraid this is going to be download only :(
@jahwffrey thanks for trying!
You are crazy... I like crazy
i absolutely loved MetaSpace from you guys, happy to see your game again! very charming and unique experience, i needed some time to grasp the mechanics but once understood, they became very fun and addicting. and the rawness of the UI only adds to the overall charm, haha. the only thing i would change is the volume, music was often louder than the voices. maybe adding subtitles would be a good idea. all in all - one of my favourite entries, good job!
This was freaking incredible. I can't remember the last time I played an FMV game - it reminded me a bit of my time playing the Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective games on Sega CD (though with MUCH better resolution and sound quality - you'd have needed three whole discs to fit this game in its entirety!)
The performances and interactions got a laugh out of me; I especially liked the idea of the God of Nature as a friggin' luchador. The gameplay itself is perhaps a little thin, but that's vastly outweighed by the amount of work put into the FMV element. I can't believe this was made in just three days!
@blizzsuxx Web build is up! I had to redo some internals of the video playing mechanism, but it looks to be working great.
Wow, at first I didn't think this game was my cup of tea. However, I found this game to be oddly immersive and played through to the victory screen  Nice execution of the FMV and the board-game puzzle/strategy mechanic. Casual mode difficulty was just right, early mistakes aren't too detrimental and can be fixed in one play through. I may give hardcode mode a try later.
Ha ha, nice! FMV made me feel like I was gaming in the late 90's again!
"Libo thinks I'm sour grapes. Ha. Show him this lemon." may well be my favorite line of dialog in this entire Gamejam.
I couldn't stop playing this! Obviously the gameplay loop is a bit sparse given the nature of the jam, but the interactions and dialog just kept me playing. I didn't have much issue with the HTML5 build personally so glad you have it.
Gameplay wise more building and resource management would've been nice, it does get stale as is. More population and worshippers for the gods would have been fun too. But what you got here just really works.
I appreciate every one of you for putting yourselves fully out there like this.
Thanks for making the HTML5 build! I had to try a bunch of different browsers (kept getting `abort(74) at jsStackTrace@https://v6p9d9t4.ssl.hwcdn.net/html/5588206/Builds/Build/Builds.framework.js:2:16070`…) but finally got it to work in Microsoft Edge of all things. Still, a few of the videos froze partway through and I could only advance the game by clicking Skip. Also, eventually I got to a point where new conversations stopped appearing and I couldn’t do anything except advance months as the gods got unhappier (but nothing more happened).
At first I had no idea what was going on with the whole building aspect of the game, but eventually (I think) figured it out. Having to work around my earlier placement blunders was part of the fun, I guess. The videos are well done and hilarious and I’m going to play again to see if I can see more without the aforementioned problems.
I lost it when Al Natural’s thumbnail at the bottom changed to him sic’ing his bird on me!
This was an entirely unique and enjoyable experience. Seriously! Thank you for putting this together. The character interactions in Sid Meier fashion was just good nostalgia. I was having such a good time building the continent, I was sad to see it end! My only regret is that I did not have a screenshot of my masterpiece to share with you before the end of the game.
My two recommendations would be to strike some sort of balance such that the end of the world was more inevitable (I was able to keep everyone pretty much happy), and to somehow use the UI to show more information about the state of the gods (the colors were good enough, but what about a happiness bar?).
But again, I have to applaud the creativity you added to this with all the costumes, characters, and writing. Superb!
OMFG I am so glad I did not miss this one!!
To be very honest, I think still did not grasp fully the mechanics in this ... it does not matter, because for me uniqueness is what I am here for and uniqueness is what I see, so thanks for making this. I wish I had the courage to do a full motion video type of game in a game jam but I dont, so thanks for being that brave.
And thanks random LD algorithm for showing me this before the jam is over
BTW, this is my favorite god:

Love your ideas and your mood guys, loked like you had a lots of fun !
I love the concept of this game and videos. The navigation is a bit confusing and graphics could be better to match quality of the videos. Really great idea overall.
Amazing, as always, 5/5 :D Our team always is astonished by your productions, same as this time. Marvellous.
What a unique idea! This game is both challenging and funny. I especially like the multiple difficulty modes.
