LD57 — Depths (12)

Go with the Floe by johnnysix 2025-04-23T21:32:08Z ♥ 1

Found myself far more addicted to this game than I expected trying to get 100% (usually Orca would get me, arggh). The speed in the water was surprising but fun, but combined with the pretty close camera, it felt somewhat claustrophobic. That's being really nitpicky though. Really enjoyed it and would love to have it as a time passer on my phone. Great job!

Stealing the Captain's Family Jewels by Str8griz 2025-04-23T21:20:10Z ♥ 2

Wow! Great art, controls, concept. Really impressive. Funny too! Hopefully can pull off something this complete of an experience one of these LDs. Congratulations!

Distorted Visions by Atenebris 2025-04-23T17:26:53Z ♥ 2

Not really sure what I'm supposed to be doing, but the character animations and parallax background are A++!

The Depths of Winter: Survive Until Spring by Hammy0212 2025-04-23T17:21:55Z ♥ 2

Impressive AI and graphics for the Snowmen.

Adventures MZ-015 by MaxDrago 2025-04-23T17:15:56Z ♥ 1

Nice 3d platformer. Left side long jump was difficult until I realized I could do a quick triple jump/boost for height/distance. Like the branching paths and that I can reach end game. Nice job!

The Chase Beneath by Alvaron 2025-04-23T17:05:16Z ♥ 1

Fantastic atmosphere of "Dread" thanks to the fog+monster echoes. First area corridor was too long, but pacing was much better after. The darkness at the end with the red lamps was particular effective!

Crust Busters by ectucker1 2025-04-23T01:44:45Z ♥ 2

Great game, straight and to the point! Would make for a killer bathroom mobile game. Became a blast once I understood the bounce off other ship mechanics.

Depth Connections: Mail from the Deep Realms by darefus 2025-04-23T01:39:34Z ♥ 1

Great art! was difficult to figure out what to do though.

Dancing in the Depths by nrankin13 2025-04-23T01:32:36Z ♥ 2

Great 3D game and assets for a jam! Enjoyed getting a video off of the dancing dogman. Eventuallys topped gaining points for video value and was forced to stop when I got to a spawn area without a dogman spawn. Nice job.

Depths of Xylos by Reyansh 2025-04-23T01:14:32Z ♥ 1

The parallax background is great! Neat little action platformer, good pixel art. Sword was a bit difficult to control. Props for adding the background music, but it was a bit grating after the first minute or so. Nice job!

Grandpet by deadroach 2025-04-23T01:02:22Z ♥ 1

Loved the classic Lucas point and clicks like Monkey Island, so this is a neat throwback. Lots of art with a classic almost adult swim style. Little touches like the clock working and the voice acting help bring it to life

Deep Blue Descent by pabloa31 2025-04-23T00:54:32Z ♥ 0

Props for making a 3D game! I'd describe the game as nice and relaxing, though I'm not quite sure that's what you were going for. Upgrade system is a great feature and I enjoyed my brief time exploring. Little signs of life added a lot of character.

LD56 — Tiny Creatures (9)

The Best Laid Plans by HexyVexy 2024-10-24T00:23:44Z ♥ 2

Very cool art piece plus decent platformer. Very polished, loved the voice over. Camera was a little jittery when running.

BeeGone by Sylf 2024-10-24T00:03:31Z ♥ 3

Probably the most innovative mechanic of the games I've played from the jam.

Mercenary Exorcist by juju 2024-10-24T00:01:00Z ♥ 0

Nice rail shooter!

Pseudopseudopodia, or amoeba walking simulator by TheLastSlowpoke 2024-10-23T23:47:12Z ♥ 1

Neat little tech demo! The movement for the amoebas are cool, nice tech there especially.

Lost Orbit by PSV Games Studio 2024-10-23T23:16:04Z ♥ 1

I'mpressive 3D game with Mario Galaxy esque running around planets. Nice puzzles, cool being able to switch characters. Very polished. Amazing tech achievements with compass and waypoint on that spherical surface!

7777777 by Zhz 2024-10-23T23:03:32Z ♥ 1

Great foundation for a clicker game!

Tiny Sanctuary by 03gramat 2024-10-23T23:00:25Z ♥ 1

Other players nailed it, soooo cozy! What is there is great, has character and is a perfect little pet sim. Great music track to set the mood.

Skitter by Don Fouts 2024-10-23T22:54:35Z ♥ 1

Definitely sets the mood, great job! Really enjoyed playing this.

Of A Feather by LCStark 2024-10-23T22:33:56Z ♥ 1

Fun SFX, but fairly simplistic game. The gather of nearby creatures is pretty neat. Well polished for what is there. Nice job!

LD50 — Delay the inevitable (13)

Mythical Mediator by Jahwffrey 2022-04-05T05:23:43Z ♥ 4

The use of real videos is a really cool idea! The costumes y'all had were very good and this is quite an original concept! Understanding how to appease the gods and what will anger them was a bit unclear to me.

Dungeon Crawl by jzucc12 2022-04-05T05:13:34Z ♥ 3

Neat little menu based dungeon crawler. I like your take on needing to not succeed too much in order to "delay the inevitable" rise of your own possessed tyranny. Some of the options are rather humorous, though I can see that many of the enemies are far beyond the characters ability to deal with effectively. Cool pixel art and great base for a more in-depth game. Great job!

Magma Melt by Boon 2022-04-05T04:52:43Z ♥ 1

Really good for a Compo entry! Stop the lava from burning down all of your houses. Never could figure out what button 3 was used for, and my general inclination was to try to push the "tool" icons which would cause me to waste moves.

Extreme Plant Sitter by suvi 2022-04-05T04:47:21Z ♥ 3

Love the premise! Actually is pretty funny and Humor is one of the tougher categories! Interesting premise, but fairly hard to manage everything. Could use a slower difficulty ramp up.

Down The Rabbit Hole by KingOfNova 2022-04-05T04:41:46Z ♥ 0

Fairly basic, but the difficulty curve starts out as super difficult. Could use a slower ramp up and a bit more responsive controls, but really, it gets the job done and is entertaining for what it is. Is essentially an "endless" faller where you circle around the stage loop. Random generation? Seems like it.

Doomsday by TheGoodHunter 2022-04-05T04:37:43Z ♥ 2

Pretty basic game, but kept me entertained for a few minutes and tired out my blasting fingers. Definitely fits the theme once you manage to break through the first meteor. Seems like you can't do anything to stop the second one.

Death and Taxes: A Puzzle Game by Rooksword 2022-04-05T04:28:04Z ♥ 1

Took a bit for me to get the hang of the system Essentially, you can ignore the left most move (the one you will do) and shift it to the back of the queue (far right). Once you've resisted a move, it will be deleted after it is finally used. Cool puzzle mechanic; would make a neat mobile game!

The install was a bit weird. Had to unzip, then had to extract again after running the game file, then could run the 2nd extracted set of files.

Salvation From The Alien Planet by Tomssuli 2022-04-05T04:15:56Z ♥ 3

Nice little RTS style game! Has a good bit of challenge, mostly introduced by the intense waves of enemies and managing health pools so your characters don't die. Has leaderboards, though I can't seem to get on them even though I seem to have beat the high score a few times. Really cool, cute pixel graphics. Great job!

The Eclipse by CandleBird 2022-04-05T03:56:56Z ♥ 2

Wow, what a cool game! Had me the most transfixed of anything I've played so far. A bit hard to understand how some of the resource conversions work and what's keeping the faction balance in place. Amazing animations, cool soothing music, neat art style! Great job! Hope y'all will keep working on this so I can play a more refined version in the future!

Untitled Arrow Game by Daniel Mak 2022-04-05T03:19:28Z ♥ 0

Fun little game, you essentially shift your "shield" to one of the cardinal directions in order to eliminate (protect yourself from) the arrows. Took a little bit for me to understand how it all worked. Has a great selection of accessibility options and easy keybind changes. Cool little audio jam. The variations on arrow behaviors got me going, and the orange ones take you for a loop (literally!)

Defending Hope by Steve Dragon 2022-04-05T03:09:52Z ♥ 0

Nice little simulation game. There really isn't too much to do once the game begins, but it's entertaining enough watching how your placements affect the outcome of the sim. Nice creepy audio jam and some decent gunfire sfx. Graphics are simple but get the job done.

Malpractice by ikelucas 2022-04-05T03:00:57Z ♥ 6

Really enjoyed this one! Lots of different interactions and the pacing keeps up a nice challenge, even if the ramp up is a bit steep! The music is nice and smooth, contributing nicely to the style. Cartoony graphics, but seems to fit the mood very well. Great job!

SHUTTLECOCK: ARMAGEDDON by Nick Saulnier 2022-04-05T02:48:54Z ♥ 2

Nice game! Has a full game loop and is easy to get back into once defeated. Followed the theme of delaying the inevitable (destruction of earth). Simplistic, but impressive AI position prediction and some cool swing mechanics. Would be nice if the audio kept going instead of starting over, but it's an entertaining enough tune! Love the old school art style and the intro cutscenes set up the game nicely!
