Cool arrow variations. Those orange arrows are brutal!

jackcaunter 2022-04-05 03:11

I liked the arrow variations and the progression in difficulty. I survived 97 ;D

It was ultra enjoyable and with a cool minimalistic take. I love it!

Took me a minute to figure it out, but I had a lot of fun once I did. My high score was 165 arrows!! After a little bit the music stopped looping. All in all it was a fun experience. My only critique would be to give the player the ability to start off at the more difficult bits instead of starting off slow every time. I just found myself not wanting to put up with the slow parts just to get to the hard bits. Other than that, great job!

Groovy! Simple but addicting. I agree, those orange arrows are disorienting. Nice work, I dig it!

Fun little game, you essentially shift your "shield" to one of the cardinal directions in order to eliminate (protect yourself from) the arrows. Took a little bit for me to understand how it all worked. Has a great selection of accessibility options and easy keybind changes. Cool little audio jam. The variations on arrow behaviors got me going, and the orange ones take you for a loop (literally!)

Nice job! It's funny how much trickier the green arrows get when the orange arrows make it on screen. Tried twice, got to 288! Could have made it further but I hesitated on an orange one. Fun game, awesome soundtrack!

Thanks a lot for the comments! I am glad you are enjoying.

@ohsnapitzsean Thanks for raising the music issue. I'll have to look into that. I also completely agree there needs to be some way to skip ahead the easy section.

@jonathan-ray-pollard A tutorial would definitely be a great addition too. Seems like an FTUE improvement update would be a good idea. :D

Simple but really fun game. I like the little detail in the setting where you can change the arrow colors. (For hard mode, make them all look the same!)

Fun, polished lil game! I enjoyed it!

I love this minimalism. Nothing superfluous, nice and polished gameplay. But unfortunately uses the most basic theme idea

95 on first try, i like how it starts simple and the arrows start trying to trick you.

leyamez 2022-04-08 04:43

Fun game, was pretty simple but was a nice experience! Got 86 on my first try..

Neat game, really appreciate the accessibility options! Those damn orange arrow got me every time though :D Managed to block one once and then the next one sniped me instantly, a certain fish lady would be proud.

There's a really great sense of like, consistent art direction here where you start off with a very clean and simple look to the game, but as the difficulty increases there are sort of more and more levels of visual noise to make it tougher to track exactly what's going on. Really well put together!

Very simple yet very cool game ! Orange arrows messed with my head a bit ^^ Here's my highscore on second try :)

Excellent job on the game! I love it. The orange arrows are just pure evil :P I wonder is there are even more types of arrows that orange, but I can't survive long enough to check it :') Ah, and awesome music!

charred-axolotl 2022-04-10 21:51

I get the feeling you're into Undertale.

ddrkirbyisq 2022-04-12 23:49

Nice. I feel like this sort of thing could actually work really well as a level-based challenge with different music riffs and increasing difficulty, rather than an endless thing. But ah, as an LD game, it functions well.

I think you found a catchy mechanic, a nice reflex game, good idea to make some arrows spin around. My recomendation would be to add more effects into it, a nice shake if you catched a difficult arrow, or color explosion, some have extra points. You have a core for a potential bullet hell. What if you put a smiley like face in the character that changes expressions depending on how close you were.

nice! My highest score was 108 :)
