Fun little game. Feels a bit simulator-esque, which isn't my cup of tea, but I still enjoyed it. Good job!

Fun little game. Feels a bit simulator-esque, which isn't my cup of tea, but I still enjoyed it. Good job!
We had a very similar submarine idea  its super interesting seeing a 3D perspective on it! I enjoyed the little fishes that follow you on the top level, I wish they could follow me down, or maybe have different fishes for each depth? My suggestion would be adding some type of map or way to tell the player where they have been, because I found myself constantly getting lost and reexploring the same areas.
Simple relax game, it will be more enjoyable with some ambient music) Like how even fishes interact with submarine
I really liked this - great execution of the theme. Could really make its way to a full game. The upgrades were nice and my desire to explore kept me hooked! - great work!!
I liked the game, a good idea, it's nice to play, looks nice. The graphics can be improved, optimized (it was a bit slow for me), add effects and details to the level. Thanks for this game!
Very neat vibe, definitely on theme. Great work!
This works well as an exploration game. The lighting is a cool effect. I'd like to see some interesting landmarks or other additional details.
The atmosphere is really good. you get a real sense of depth the further down you go. Almost feel like it could have worked better as a pure exploration game, as the gameplay loop of collecting gold for upgrades did feel a bit repetitive at times
Thank you all for the feedback, It will be really helpful! We had more ideas that we couldn't implement due to time constraints, I'm considering working on a new version with those improvements to see how it turns out. I really enjoyed the process of making it and the exploration side of it. For the JAM version, we had some hidden spots with secret fishes, but we felt it would be good to have more elements like secret creatures, treasures, or more hidden places.
The atmosphere of the ocean is conveyed perfectly.
Damn, I love how the camera implemented! How it follows the submarine and how the image is a bit distorted due to being in the water. This is such a nice detail!
Really nice audio-visual presentation. The way the camera, water vfx, ambience sfx and sluggish but satisfying ship movement come together conveys the "underwaterness" really well. Some nice details too, like the fishies. The gameplay is simple but I guess that's the point, it's quite relaxing :D
Minor nitpicks/notes: The drill sfx could use some filters to make it sound less sharp and more "underwater-y", feels a little out of place, especially because of how well the rest of the audio captures the setting. Also, is the upgrade menu screen missing some shaders/post processing? The water is white and super bright. Doesn't even look all that bad, just looks kind of unintentional, especially since it seems to be the same scene as the main menu where the colors look normal.
I really enjoyed this one--the sound design and art were eerie, but not scary, and I appreciated how the controls were introduced via the environment early on in the game. I did notice that the submarine's light wouldn't always face the same direction as the submarine itself, which was a little tough in the darker areas. Additionally, I found myself avoiding the upgrade menu because I didn't like how long it took to transition from the gameplay area to the upgrade screen--I _think_ I would've preferred something like a simple menu overlay instead of an entirely new scene. Overall, though, really fun!
Good work!
the game is super eerie! loving this atmosphere.
Fun game. Sadly I got stuck at some point and couldn't go through the tunnel
Pretty cool game. For some reason, the light acted like it was only shining to the left, not based on the way I was facing.
Love the game!
I stuck between -82 and -150 meters portals - they threw me back to each other :D
I was expecting mr. Dagon or Cthulhu to appear - I even collapsed through the gap between level's textures ones to check if they were hiding from me! - but it looks like not this time. In general I liked how lighting worked for the atmosphere and fish that follows the ship a bit. Wish to had more these kind of companions on different levels of depth.
Nice game. It felt like a good mix between Dave the Diver and Subnautica, with a hint of Motherload. Well done.
Audacious 3d web game! I had some issues with the camera, and with gold gain as I went deeper not keeping up with depth demands, but I see I must have missed some side passages now due to the camera troubles. Perhaps I should have upgraded my light first. I like the look of this one and the atmosphere. Loved the friendly fishes.
Camera control could've been tricky, but you pulled it off nicely. The underwater wobbly effect was a nice touch. My one request would've been some kind of map or another diegetic way to indicate where I had been. I generally felt a little lost, especially before I upgraded my light a bit. That probably was a design choice, but there is a nagging sense that I kept missing some little alleys or passageways that, upon doubling back to search, were not actually an artifact.
Good execution on the theme!
Nice to see another person implement the underwater exploration/upgrade style. Nice visuals, as some have mentioned perhaps some ambient music or less intensity on the droning submarine-sound. The upgrades were immediately noticeable, though I kept on wondering if there is an end/goal or not. If so, I did not find it, but I would have certainly pushed on knowing if there was one to discover :) Great job!
Props for making a 3D game! I'd describe the game as nice and relaxing, though I'm not quite sure that's what you were going for. Upgrade system is a great feature and I enjoyed my brief time exploring. Little signs of life added a lot of character.
Well done! I love the ambient water effects and calm vibes. I think some nice music or effects would have added to the mood a lot. I also really like the immersive tutorial within the game, stuff like that is always nice!
The camera was a bit wonky in places and I saw the backside of a wall or something once, but otherwise it was pretty smooth!
