Super hard but really fun!
Fairly basic, but the difficulty curve starts out as super difficult. Could use a slower ramp up and a bit more responsive controls, but really, it gets the job done and is entertaining for what it is. Is essentially an "endless" faller where you circle around the stage loop. Random generation? Seems like it.
It was a little complicated at first to figure out how the game is controlled (maybe you can add this on the itch page). But after I figured it out it was a fun small endless falling down "platformer" (idk how to call it)
I think I see more of the "You have died" part of the hole than the me playing part. Time to get good I guess.
What CRAZY graphics, I love them. It sets a mood first and foremost and I'm all for it
The game really throws you in from the start, and I think it would super benefit from an empty section of hallway at the beginning where the player can get a grasp of their controls and the surrounding. A lot of the obstacles also felt like they had bad hitboxes, or that I could avoid them but for some reason they killed me.
Good entry :) With a few tweaks this could be a super trippy endless runner
The game scene is good, its really pretty. Wouldve liked to see a death animation for the rabbit, and the credits scene-which looks good-is just distracting because i would think most people would rather have a retry button than have to click through 2 screens to go again
What a trippy game. I really liked the somewhat psychedelic visuals of this game mixed with the serene music, it was an unusual match but it worked well. Mirroring what others have already said, I did feel that the game is way too difficult way too quick and some explanation would have been nice in terms of how the game works. I was left confused for the first few runs thinking I needed to collect clocks as they stood out, before figuring out that I needed to simply avoid everything a bit later. Once I did figure this out it was fun having to dodge all the odd obstacles thrown at me. Having to click through multiple screens just to retry did take away some of the replay-ability, it made me less eager to start again and more frustrated. With a few tweaks though you have the basis of a really trippy endless runner here, and with a few more elements it could be really interesting.
I wish I could see a little further ahead!
The mouse controls, I'm not so sure on. Looks like player character moves as close as possible to my mouse x/y on a circle? It was hard to keep track of where my cursor was to perform movements with any sense of finesse.
Love the graphic style!
The graphics were a really cool idea but I don't know that they worked well with the mouse controls as I quickly lost sight of my mouse as I played. As mentioned many times above, the start is the most difficult part. Consider adding a runway so the player can get their bearing before obstacles hurdle toward them. I know this is an issue of the compressed development time, but it would also be useful to have a longer tunnel so the player might anticipate the items sooner. In a further development this tunnel, while longer, might have curves in it which throw off the players perception and make some decisions come through very quick. Overall, there is a lot of promise here!
The game could have better level transition. I felt that I died right away when playing the game. Could of limited the obstacles. Art could have had animation in the beginning which you had the rabbit curled to fall in the whole. I would not have know it was a rabbit if I did not read the tittle of the game. Audio was OK. Good work on a limited time frame
The music for this creates such a mood that I just want to keep playing.
But, I keep dying.
Nearly instantly. This makes me sad, I want to do well but it's just so difficult to know where the safe space is. I thought I was in the clear a few times and I clearly wasn't cause, I died.
Thank you for letting us continue to enjoy the atmosphere after we die though! The mood is super super super well done, thank you. =)
Nice idea. Some time at the start before the first obstacles appear would give the player time to experiment and get use to the controls before the game really starts, I would sometimes start the game and die within 40ms. I think the start button being in the center would help also get the player very quickly into the idea of how the controls work might help.
Reminds me a bit of some of the Sonic bonus stages from the modern era. Neat, though the game makes it very easy to die during the first second, which might be connected to the theme, but I would still try to make it a little more fair.
To whoever plays/played the game. Hope you enjoyed it! I personally just did the audio but it was a blast making!
