Dragon God Trail: The Card Game by johnfn 2018-12-04T07:31:36Z
Wow, amazing that you made this in a weekend. Reminds me of text adventure games like Oregon Trail.

For making this game in a weekend, it's got a lot of potential, almost makes me wish the jam lasted longer so this game would be even better.
Really good application of the theme
The art is really good! Maybe zoom the camera out a little, it looks cramped sometimes.
this is one of the best applications of the theme i've seen, i love it
@royur @toast-toaster thanks alot for the bug reports! ill be sure to fix them and update it!
@khaotom Ill look into it, thanks for the bug report and also I am glad you thought it was interesting!
@deathbysnail I added a how to play segment in the description, sorry if the game confused you.
@samh I’m glad you enjoyed the talking mechanic! The names are actually based on a D&D campaign that I run. I agree though, it does feel like it needs balancing and that there should be some more things to do towards the end
Massive respect for making a Rougelike during a Game Jam. It turned out really cool and I had a lot of fun playing. It's really hard but I guess it wouldn't be a rougelike if it wasn't
Amazing that this is made in C++ lol, Awesome job!
This game was incredible, the idea, the mechanics, the level design, its all top of the line. Mine-blowingly good. If there was a category for making me having inexplicable feelings for a dragon, you'd get a 5 in that too.
Easily one of my favorite games this jam, so well made and I wish i could give you a 10/5 for mood
The art is out of this world, and the dialouge was such a great touch. The detail of shaking and wiggling texts add so much. I loved how simple the controls were, but I wish there were some more mechanics to play around with!
It feels impossible that this game exists. Such incredibly high quality ideas, gameplay, art, and music, it can't possibly come from the compo. And yet, it does. Honestly, I don't know what else to say except KEEP MAKING GAMES.
@asdehielo I'm glad you like it! If it makes you feel any better, there is no "completing" the game, it goes on until you lose.
took a second to get used to the controls, but after i did i really loved it. the design is amazing, and doing with only black and white did a hell of a lot for the aesthetic. great job!
Visually one of the most stunning games this jam, and the music was so perfect. A lot of comments have been praising the atmosphere and I have to agree, its amazing!!
This was a really interesting take on the theme, and the atmosphere was on point. It woulda been cool to have some obstacles while in the drone view though, it was a little boring to just float around.
Fun! Thanks for making this!
Really good atmosphere! Nice job.
Really good artistic aesthetic, but it's pretty hard to play!
Took me a second, but really cool take on the theme! I love to see gameplay inspired by the theme.
The combination of the destructible environments and the mechanics make for a really really interesting platformer. the design of this game is great!
Really unique game idea, though it is a little confusing to find out what to do
This is insanely well polished. I can hardly believe it was done in a weekend, nice job!
Not sure if its just me but the HTML version was super laggy. Really amazing art though!
@dolicoded yeah to be honest I struggled alot trying to fix exactly what you said, having to wait to change really slows down the flow overall and was bothering me the whole time. Thanks for your words!
@werdnalt @j4cko16 Thanks for the reviews and suggestions! I'm glad you guys think it could be expanded upon, it was one of my goals so I'm glad to hear it came through. Especially like the idea of a little challenge for the golem to do while waiting, maybe some collectible.
Very embarassing to accidentally click and then immediately walk into my own thorns lol, but very cool concept, really nice art and simple gameplay. Overall came together really well, congrats!
Heyyy a pico-8 game! Always happy to see one of those. Your design for the game is amazing, this has got to be one of the most fun games I've played for this jam. It all flows really well and feels like it could be expanded easily. Awesome game, great job!
Beautiful and very well polished game, it took me a second to realize what was going on but once I did everything became clear. Music was nice but the tranquil tunes were a weird pair with the lava cave aesthetic. Awesome job!
Visuals and mood are top notch!
Really love how snappy the gun feels!
This is cool! A really good idea, nice work! The menuing adds a nice level of stress, and it's overall quite polished, especially for game jam game!
Took me a second to realize what was going on, but pretty fun once you get into it!
Awesome style!
Really great theme application
