This is insanely well polished. I can hardly believe it was done in a weekend, nice job!
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD51 → Just Roll With It!

This is insanely well polished. I can hardly believe it was done in a weekend, nice job!
My only big complaint is the camera control. Luckily, I could bump down the sensitivity manually on my mouse, and it ended up being fun to play after that!
vibes out of control
Really liked playing this. It has a good idea for the theme. Enjoyed trying to get those gems when going really fast.
@rpgfaker Taking a look at their Twitter, I also hardly believe this was done in a weekend.
Phenomenal job on the art and music! While the concept seemed promising for a Sonic-esque experience, I unfortunately struggled to complete levels primary due to difficulties maneuvering the camera with mouse-and-keyboard. From what I saw though, the levels seemed well-designed, and besides the camera movement controls felt smooth, satisfying, and polished. Great work!
WOW! The graphics and music absolutely blew me away! However, I found the game itself a bit unforgiving. I think bigger hit detection on the gems, some more railings on the levels, and maybe some maneuvers like a quick 180 turn would go a long way. I hope I see more of this game soon!
This one's pretty great. I like how it feels to move the character and the art and music is excellent. The main issue for me was that many gems were extremely difficult to get at high speed. If there was a way to slow down or perhaps checkpoints this would be less of an issue. Regardless, nice work!
Great graphics and gameplay although it doesn't work as good on the web browser. I would love to see you build out more levels
Holy wow! Very nice game. It scratched an itch I didn't even know I had 😅 The level of polish is very impressive. Thanks for sharing!
Very challenging, very cute. Awesome art and concept. Some kind of healing item would make me enjoy the game more but it is a very polished entry that had some really cool ideas. Like the whole getting faster to get more access to gems. The hero, Lina, is adorable!
Super fun gameplay! And difficult too. Overall good job!
Very difficult, but fun. I like it a lot! Well done!
Love the art style! All it's missing is a DJ screaming Jet Set Radio for the complete experience 👍
I'm a simple man, I see a cel shaded rollerblade game and I hit play. Incredible amount of polish here, I love the character design and the animations are amazing too. I loved *almost* everything about this entry.
The thing I didn't like is that I found it a bit too unforgiving, kept both running out of hearts way too fast or falling off because I clipped through the rail. I got quite good at the first level with the bumpers, but couldn't work out how to get to the very highest platform and so didn't get enough gems to complete any of the levels past the tutorial. If there was a mode with more hearts, I would love to give it a longer go!
...even with that aside, this is such a good game - I'll probably wake up tomorrow and feel compelled to give it another go
Fun game! I enjoyed playing!
So many sonic vibes! enjoyed playing it :)
Amazing graphics, good sound effects and awesome tracks. There are impressively 3 levels after the tutorial, this is amazing for being made in a weekend. My only criticism is directed at the controls and use of the theme. I feel like the controls are a bit wonky or highly sensitive no matter what speed the character is going. I also feel like having the speed infinitely goes up puts pressure on the player to finish the game faster and not enjoy themselves. The theme couldve been used to have the game speed change from slow normal to fast, but to be honest this would be a great stand alone game after the jam ends.
These levels are so incredibly fleshed out, expansive, and most importantly DIFFERENT from each other by miles. Each one has its own theming and skill to master. It really reminds me of Mario Kart in how different the stages can be.
The game is very fun and invites a lot of replay. While I'm not much of a mastery player for platformers, I found myself replaying to check out different areas because there was so much to see and do. I said "NAH" when I went around the back of the cliff in stage 1 and saw that there were a bunch of gems over there for some poor fool to get.
I could be wrong about this, but was higher speed always punishing? I'm not totally sure if there were spots where higher speed allowed you to reach things you couldn't get normally. I WAS puzzled by some of the bumpers and assumed they might synergize with higher speed but I couldn't get that to work. If not, then I think that would be a great addition to the levels. I would love to 100% some of these levels but I'll have to do it later as I've already spent a ton of time on it haha.
There are too many nice little touches to mention, so I'll just mention the biggest one which is how each speed boost gives you a different animation. Although it's painful to go up in speed, at least I can do it in style! Really an incredible package overall.
I'd love to play other games like this, what games inspired the idea?
Wow, so much level design must have gone into this. Amazing game for a weekend jam - I had a blast!
Wow, really great game! Level design is top level! Playing it is really fun and i enjoyed the process a lot!
Super polished, cool graphics! My only complaint are the controls and sensitivity. That's a lot of only one weekend, congratulations!
Cool game! Really was having fun, but sometimes it was a bit unforgiving. Personal I would enjoy more a start to finish feel instead of collecting. Didn't manage a singular level to beat. The character was cool, the visuals great, the music was one of the best I heard so far. Anyway with a bit more polish this really could be better than sonic (or already is). Oh maybe the faster you the more you are magnetic and pull those gems towards you? Just an idea. Really awesome job!
This was amazing!!! So much fun to play and really high quality/polished! Definitely had the vibes and styling of a legit Sega arcade game! Loved the music and art!! Fantastic work on this!! :D
So well done. I'm jalous of the result and the know'how; respect and make much more contributions please :)
Well done! It's super hard but a fun experience!
Was this really made in 3 days?! If so then this is easily one of the best, but if it isn't, it doesn't mean its bad but an honest disclaimer would be nice!
Impressive as all hell! Really fun and really hard. A little bit of jank with mouse controls (camera would jump around at the start of every level), but nothing I couldn't handle.
Lina's super cute!
Very well done, super impressive!
This is fantastic! It took a while to get used to controlling the character with the camera at higher speeds, but once I was able to, it was really satisfying.
Some incredible work put into this though, I absolutely love the art and music, and had a blast playing through it!
I have played your games from previous jams and was really looking forward to this one! Great job on the character art and shaders. It looked really nice. The gameplay was fun and felt promising.
Pretty cool game. The character looked amazing and the audio was perfect, super cool! The environment needed a little more work, it was a little bland, but I can understand that you kinda have to decide whether to make more levels and content, or better designs. The gameplay was good, if really basic, most came from the level design which I wasn't a huge fan of. I feel that this type of fast game play would be better as a more straight, or on rails type of game where the speed can shine! Rather than platforming and whatnot. Either way it was really cool, nice work!
...I came back and beat the bumper level

Thanks for the feedback, everyone.
@joeshanahan Haha, nice work!
The concept of the game is very cool and the art is top notch, but the controls being based on the character's direction rather than the camera's direction makes playing this at higher speeds much more frustrating than it should be.
Then again, I do not usually play such fast movement-based 3d games so it might just be a me problem ...
Apart from that, the game feels very polished, very nice job :) !
Really enjoyed myself, this game is super hard though. Maybe a little to hard, but that's maybe a me problem haha. My only real criticism is that the camera gets a little disorienting when I'm trying to move it when the character's angle changes
I was looking at your twitter and it looks like you've been developing pretty much this exact game for quite a while now? It feels like reskinning it, and submitting it for LD isn't really in the spirit of the event. Even just making the levels and artwork is already really cool for just 1 weekend, but it still feel deceitful.
@Anonymous Don't worry about it, that scenario didn't happen at all. This game was made in reference to my main project since the idea I picked is also speed-oriented but the jam game is entirely original and pretty different overall.
The game is amazing but I would have prefer another objectives : Different gem goals for 3 tiers ( bronze / silver / gold ) would probably have easily multiply the time I could spend on the game. The fact I can't grab all of them just give me the feeling of constant failure, even if I get better each game. Maybe just display max gem the player could get, instead of the the level max gem. It would totally makes me try harder to improve my score.
I feel like its pretty difficult. But a great game all in all! I always love when the character enters the real rollerblading state. The game has definitely a good mood. But its going too fast in every 10 seconds :)
since i'm playing on a keyboard, controls were really hard to master, but i can get the fun in it! still this is an extremely polished entry, it's incredible that you were alone for code+graphics, great job!
Great game with great grafix. Did you prepare for theis Jam by any chance :D If this was done in only one weekened then i'm speechless. Even if it wasn't great job. Very enjoyable. Great entry.
Yeeaaah! This is radical, real classic SEGA vibes in this game! Polished to an absolute shine, the character design and soundtrack absolutely blew me away. Level variety is nice too, compliments the core play very well and of course, looks great!
Wowww what a jam game! IT's SO complete and polished, on top of an exciting core character control. Even the UI menus have great details and vibe. This is amazing, really well done! I went back to look at your history of games and just from the screen shots and descriptions I can see that you are making strong steady progress in your skills, it's impressive.
I enjoyed zooming around a lot, but wowzers the difficulty was a bit over my ability. I worked a lot just to solve the tutorial! So I really appreciated that I could jump around an experience each of the levels without having to beat any. Great choice for a jam experience.
I could also feel myself getting better over time. I was initial super-disoriented at times, but as I built some experience it got better and my deaths were more due to execution failures.
I can only clear the tutorial  though the game looks and feels amazing! :clap_tone2: Excellent work
Super polished game. Looks amazing but the difficulty of the game is what I think is holding it back. I managed to complete the first stage after getting most of them and praying towards the end as I go so fast trying to fall and land in specific spot. Outside of the difficulty aspect it looks and sounds stunning. The character changing slightly as she speeds up is a really nice touch and overall shows remarkable polish across the whole game. I could have seen this as a full game easily if you added a few more levels and tweak the difficulty a little bit.
I am absolutely amazed by how good looking this is for a jam game. The visual polish is incredible, those animations and poses are soooo cool ✨
As other said, it's a bit sad that the game is so difficult. I couldn't even get the last gem of the tutorial haha, and managed to get only something like 20 gems out of each levels after some tries. The core concept of gaining speed every 10 seconds is a fun idea, it makes you think about the best trajectory.
Great job!
Looks and sounds great, love the idea! didn't feel the camera was handled the best for this type of gameplay though
