Vast Trivia Of The Void by JorgeGameDev 2021-04-29T02:37:03Z

Fantastic! Loved the art and music a lot. The game itself felt super polished as well, very nice job!

Deep Sea Explorer by interface 2021-05-01T05:13:56Z

Cool, I enjoyed it. The shark sound felt a little bit out of place and was constantly playing, the music was very simple but I think it needs a little more layers to it and it would be quite a bit better. Overall not bad, I had fun. Good job!

Shoot 'em Down by Pennycook 2021-05-01T04:49:43Z

Overall not bad. I like the idea behind it, and the humor at the beginning was great. Some suggestions, you should have more dialogue happening during the game, that could lighten it up a bit. Allow your ship to be hit a few times before dying, and be a tiny bit more forgiving with the colliders. (It's "usually" a good idea to make colliders slightly smaller than the object imho) Another thing I would suggest would be to make some of the enemy ships to need to be destroyed. If that makes sense. For example I felt like I had to kill everything, I couldn't just doge pass any of their shots because they basically created walls. It adds an additional way to play, where you can either kill them all or quickly rush through a gap of their bullets, on that thought adding a small dash would be nice as well.

Good job!

Into the Castle by groverburger 2021-04-28T07:40:38Z

Super fun game. I liked the difficulty a lot, gave me some solid hollow knight vibes. Boss was a bit tough, but I never felt like it was impossible or that I couldn’t do it. Great job!

Inner Demons by Zettelkasten 2021-04-27T03:43:16Z

Very nice! Seems like it could get a lot better with a few updates and things.

DRYVER by GuitarBro 2021-04-28T08:16:22Z

Cool idea. I loved just Turing on god mode and cruising around. That was the best part about it. I think I had a bug that would cause to stop moving every now and again that kinda messed with the experience a little. Either way very good game and fun to spend some time with.

Jupiter II by Wheffle 2021-04-28T03:27:32Z

Wow this was awesome! I loved the gameplay, I wondered how far I could get and I love the different things that happen as you continue to go down. Very fun, good job.

Oiligarch by dxk2294 2021-04-29T02:18:09Z

Very fun, this is one of the few on here I could see myself playing for a long time. Good job!!

Diggurai by svyatozar 2021-04-30T06:32:04Z

Cool art, it looks really nice, especially the character model. I like the idea with the digging and such. I would recommend altering the controls a little bit, maybe make space bar the jump button and click on the square you want to remove? Also maybe either add a way to respawn missing platforms that you dig away, or allow them to regenerate after a while.

Drilbert by wheybags 2021-05-01T04:03:26Z

Super cool idea. I liked the mechanic a lot. It was very interesting and a new take on what I've seen before. All the sounds and graphics worked nicely with each other. I could see this being expanded upon a lot and turned into something really cool. Nice job!

Tunnel of Love: I'm Digging It by chelC 2021-04-28T08:01:15Z

One of the best games I’ve played so far solely due to the awesome humor and writing. There were so many good jokes and messages in the game I loved it. It was great to go after the for sure real mole with their stock image and just follow the story. The puzzles were cool, not ground breaking or anything but very enjoyable and took a bit of thought to get through them. Very nice job! Super high props to the writer!

Shovel Guy by NotSpaghettiGames 2021-04-29T03:43:07Z

Artwork is great! I liked the little noises as well. The game itself is really fun, but I think it got a little too hard too quickly, the first puzzles were already kinda rough. I guess they were more just a lot to move than hard. Either way, very fun. Good job!

Loach Dive by Manan 2021-04-30T05:43:25Z

Awesome game! I don't know if you were going for humor, but I found this game super funny (In a very good way) good job!!

7 DEEPS by ardorugus 2021-05-02T07:17:14Z

Well, that was something for sure. haha

enRoot by Linkwin 2021-05-01T04:40:13Z

Cool game and interesting art. I felt like the art wasn't super cohesive, some of it (The turtle) wasn't completely cut out so the animation looked a little weird to me, but that would be better if the rest of the art also fit the same style. I guess my issue is I couldn't tell if those choices were intentional or not.

The physics need a bit of work. I noticed you said you left it floaty on purpose, but it would be better if it was an accelerated fall (So this speed increases the longer you're falling) and make the jump and the rest of the movement feel more floaty as well. However, my personal preference would probably be to make the fall more "normal". Seems like it would fit the game play better and I don't really see any reason they would be floaty in the first place?

Good job though, it needs a few improvements, but I still played all the way through! Nice work.

Below the Ocean by Ismael Rodriguez 2021-05-01T05:09:29Z

Fantastic game! I was constantly surprised by the new mechanics that kept appearing throughout. the best part was they all worked super well! This is absolutely one of the better games I've played so far. Very well done.

Oh and the music is incredible, it is so simple, yet never felt repetitive and fit the game in the background so well. Loved it!

Digger's gotta dig! by suika343 2021-05-02T04:43:56Z

Hey good job! I liked the game and everything with it quite a bit. One note, I wasn't quite sure what my character was? Not exactly a bad thing though haha Was it a watermelon? That's what it looked like so if it was then good job with that haha I mentioned this on another game that was somewhat similar to this, but one thing that would add a lot would be some sort of upgrade system. Maybe you collect the coins or whatever and spend them after each game over. You could get a better pickaxe, more time, things like that. Either way really nice job!

Deeper-Geddon by heidelbert 2021-04-29T00:30:55Z

Very fun game. I love these types of game a lot. I beat it my first try with 5 seconds left! Once I figured out how to do it all it was awesome to play. Good job.

The Dive by raptor851 2021-04-30T06:17:35Z

Very cool! I enjoy the art a lot. I wish there was a little more music and such, but when it was there it added a lot. You could add onto this a bit more and make it even more eerie if you wanted, I loved how everything was changing around you. Super good job!

Deep Dungeon Tactics by Aditya Kumar 2021-05-02T06:14:55Z

Great game! I like the procedural take on this genre. One idea that I think would be interesting to try out would be procedural characters as well? For example the characters you play as, and the enemies, are just generated to have different looks and skills. I can see how this would be a nightmare to balance, but if it could be figured out that would be a really cool addition on this.

Nice job!

The Deepest Fish by LeYamez 2021-04-28T08:04:04Z

Nice job. I loved the art and music. Gameplay reminds me of undertale combat a lot. Add some new upgrades (different lures maybe) and some new fish “combat” patterns and items and you’d have an excellent game here. It would probably go great with mobile. Nicely done.

Juicy Trip by Anandhi 2021-05-02T07:33:20Z

Cool fun little game. I could see it being very relaxing on mobile if you added some good background music and fun sound effects. As some additions to the game there should be some additional difficulty added, it never felt like it ramped up much after the first little bit. Maybe add some additional rotten fruit, or different fruits you can "play" as. Add "powerups" or maybe things to make you speed up or slowdown, etc. God job!

Deep Into the Night by Profugo Barbatus 2021-05-02T07:25:29Z

Very interesting and cool spin on the theme. Also very innovative version of a resource management style of game. Good job! Thanks for letting me play on stream.

Deep Dive Drive 2000 by Dane Tesla 2021-05-08T04:00:52Z

Very interesting experience. I enjoyed my time in the car with uncle. The graphics were really cool, and I really enjoyed all the unique audio and radio stations. My biggest issue was it was really slow with not a lot happening in between the questions, which were seemingly pointless? Otherwise I really enjoyed it!

Deeply Organic by DoctorTM 2021-05-02T05:38:47Z

Love it! Very nice job on everything. I was happy to see all the different genres showing up throughout, and the humor was absolutely on point.

Monster Tower by LungTakumi 2021-04-30T04:39:44Z

I liked it. I enjoyed the dragon a lot and how he came down and the different attacks. I liked how the it speeded up as it got harder as well.

Dungeon Divers by Koolruz 2021-04-27T03:28:13Z

Very cool, I liked the idea a lot. With a little refinement I could see this being a legit game out there. Great job!

Selkö by Doot 2021-04-28T08:13:50Z

Very fun and relaxing game. I’d love to see this idea expanded upon a bit. Would be an excellent mobile game if you added a few more things. Maybe new levels and upgrades or just a really really long version? Good job.

Gold Rush by Thrawn911 2021-05-02T04:31:54Z

Nice job! I liked the art and the idea of the game. What it needs is upgrades of some sort. Maybe a shop that you go to after each game over, and the gold you collect you can spend on upgrades. This could give you extra time, a better pickax (Maybe incorporate some harder blocks, etc.) But a good job and a good stat to the game!

Frog by cacciatc 2021-05-02T07:10:58Z

Sax frog was worth playing the game for. Awesome job! I loved it and talking with one dev it sounds like you all made it run on actual nes hardware, super impressive. very fun!

Depth Perception by Rina 2021-04-27T03:23:24Z

It was really hard to move unfortunately. Hard for me to play the game or really experience much. The graphics were very basic and a lot of things were a little unfinished, for example the text in the start room appears in front of the objects. The audio seemed good.

Squareroot mining by omnes ludos 2021-04-30T04:27:38Z

The audio is great, I really enjoyed it. The game was interesting. I wish there was a little bit more feedback as to what the tree was doing, maybe have a small window of the tree wilting or something? Also I wasn't sure how the game really worked right at the beginning, I may have missed something but I don't remember seeing anything. Either way great job!

Dig it up, dog! by MaDuShI 2021-04-28T08:17:38Z

Super enjoyable. I loved finding all the different options and choices. Good job!

Khazads by vsi- 2021-04-30T06:39:21Z

I like the game. Everything made pretty good sense to me. There could for sure be some improvements. But it's on the right track for sure!

Runner Ore by ThatANoNoWord 2021-04-28T07:56:35Z

Had lots of fun here. The ore boys were a cool twist on the lining idea. There is a lot of potential here and I could see it getting improved a lot and becoming more engaging. Add a few new mechanics, maybe some upgrades and new weapons and enemies? Ie get a jackhammer at some point or something. Haha good job!!

Deep in mars by DocSystem 2021-04-30T06:51:47Z

That was pretty cool. Nice idea. I'd like to see it expanded upon. I believe someone else mentioned doing some form of asteroid defense or something. Nice job!

Deep Dig Pizza by Brandon Garcia 2021-04-28T07:44:07Z

I had a lot of fun with this one. Made me feel a little frantic like overcooked or something similar. I loved the spin on the theme of “mining” for ingredients. I see a lot of potential here with this one. Nice job!

Sun Core by ZeroKun 2021-04-30T05:55:59Z

Nice job, liked the game a lot! My one thing is it seemed like I fell way to fast, add a little more floatyness (That's a word right? :P) to it when you fall and I think that would help out a lot. Good job!

Surface Level by javi7 2021-05-02T05:11:47Z

Awesome super fun game! I got 4900 my second run and I thought I was doing decent, but it's cool how high some people can get. Nice job! Awesome music as well, that fir everything perfectly.

Where's my dynoMITE? [LD48] by miej 2021-05-02T05:23:10Z

Amazing game! Everything fit together so well, the music and art were both great, in an almost not "not great" sort of way that just worked (If that makes sense, I'm basically saying they work super well. haha) And the sound effects are top tier! Way nice, very enjoyable.

Miner Rescue by mausimus 2021-04-28T08:11:03Z

Very very fun. I loved the art style and the sound effects really kept me going. The small touches and animations were very well done. I just loved the simple controls and the difficulty overall. It was simple to start but very hard to master. Took me a few tries but I finally beat it. Very good job!

Low Notes by mhorth 2021-05-01T04:27:04Z

Very nice! I love me a good rhythm game. One suggestion from my preference would be to have the audio pitch back up after the mistakes are made, not just when you get more correct notes. I can understand how keeping it low is apart of the game, but it feels weird to me to not be able to listen to the normal song I guess.

Here's some thoughts on improvements, not really anything you did wrong, just thoughts if you wanted to add more.

There needs to be more difficulty options and they should follow a similar note layout. The ones you had in there were good, but it felt like it was swaying between a bunch of difficulties, which can make it hard to follow. For example, if you want it to be hard and follow every note, then it needs to follow every note so the player is expecting constant notes on the melody or wherever. Expert or something could have even more additional things. For like a medium it could follow slower melodies, but it should be something like only the major parts, but whatever it is it needs to be consistent.

Lastly, additional inputs would be awesome. Something like clicking space changes the spots the arrow keys hit (Giving you double the notes) or maybe you have two circles, one for arrows, one for wasd. Or to be really difficult have a lot of different keys so you have to move your hands around the keyboard.

I'm mainly just rambling at this point. haha but very good job I enjoyed it a lot!

Deep Sleep by Link270 2021-04-27T15:07:18Z

@le-slo Thanks for the great feedback! As a note I added the short jump action simply because it felt strange to not have one. I intentionally made it a short hop due to you playing as a child character. Glad you liked the sprint. I hate non toggled sprints. Haha and thanks for the puzzle feedback. We really need more clear direction there.

Deep Sleep by Link270 2021-04-27T16:21:50Z

@fiakaiera Thanks for the feedback!! Agreed toggle run was one of the first things I did, can’t stand when it’s not a toggle.

I noticed the mouse not disappearing issue, then forgot about it, then noticed it again after the time was up. *facepalm* Not sure why the cursor decides to run away after the credits, but I’ll add that to my list of things to fix someday. Haha thanks!

Deep Sleep by Link270 2021-04-28T08:05:14Z

@ru-mey the fog is a bit too thick maybe. There is a hill if you walk straight and you get back to the park and the credits roll. So you made it to the end. Thanks for the feedback!

Deep Sleep by Link270 2021-04-28T20:50:16Z

@erik-brendel ill do a little looking to see if I can get it to work or not. We can’t do a webgl version unfortunately because we use HDRP in unity. (makes it look better and does a few other cool things, but doesn’t support webGL) Thanks for letting me know though!

Edit: looks like hdrp only supports Vulcan on Linux, no ipenGL unfortunately.

Deep Sleep by Link270 2021-04-29T00:37:40Z

@studio-gomp Thanks for the feedback. When we made the first puzzle the initial idea was that a narrator would describe a scene that was taking place and the player would have to go and "setup" that scene to continue the story. (Hence why you knock down the bookcase, and when you place the teddy bear initially a model of the kid would then appear on the bed holding it) that thought didn't really continue in the later game and this first puzzle kind of stuck around without as much meaning.. So for a more final version we do want to revise this a bit.

Jump is there mainly because I didn't like how it felt to not have it. It doesn't hurt the game for being there and imho makes it feel a little better.

Four for the jail was honestly arbitrary. This was towards the end and I just don't think we had enough time to sit down and really decide what the number should be and why it would be any number. It doesn't help that there is no indication that you need to put four in there, so this point is very valid. Also I will note it was 5 in the morning when I was working on that section, so I don't have a lot of meaningful reasoning behind the choices at that time. haha

Thanks for the feedback on the story as well, we will need to go through and refine that as well so the feedback helps.

Thanks again for playing!

Deep Sleep by Link270 2021-04-29T00:49:56Z

@briibot Thanks so much for the detailed feedback. As I mentioned in another comment the first puzzle is a bit different than the others due to us initially having a different idea how they would play out. It's also likely the hardest due to the misleading dialogue and not quite enough details to help, but the puzzles themselves are all super simple, we just need to add a bit more information about them and that should help without needing any additional hints.

I'm glad you noticed the smallness of the child. That was done intentionally and I agree it plays out well.

I also agree the end is a little bit abrupt and a total flip from the final area before it, I noticed this a lot while watching other people play it. This will need a bit of attention for future updates for sure.

I'm glad you enjoyed the music, considering I put it all together in the last few hours I am surprised how well it turned out and how well it's been recieved.

Thanks for the review and thanks for playing!

Deep Sleep by Link270 2021-04-30T15:40:59Z

@zerokun yeah hope is the final area and it’s a giant field of grass, unfortunately there is a lot of grass and it can be a bit taxing on lower end hardware, we for sure will need to add some settings and other optimizations to help with that.

Deep Sleep by Link270 2021-05-01T03:32:14Z

@raptor851 thanks for that info. I had the mouse being bound to the game window, I probably should have just bound it to the center of the screen. (Not sure if that would make any difference) I’ll have to look into it. (It could for sure be an issue with unity I agree)

Deep Sleep by Link270 2021-05-01T18:55:43Z

The above comment was me, not anonymous haha

Deep Sleep by Link270 2021-05-02T16:09:46Z

@2bitcrook Thanks for the great feedback! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, a toggleable sprint is the only way to go so I made sure to do it that way. We did try to keep things minimalistic Ian’s abstract in that way. I like the idea that everything is vague in a way so whoever is playing can fill in the blanks on the specifics of the story themselves. This helps it from being too direct and also let’s each person have a different experience, especially if they can personally relate to the story and issues.

Agreed on the ability to move during the credits as well. Small things like that, especially in a game like this, I’ve always liked.

Glad you like the logo too, we spent a bit of time redesigning it recently as we had started working on a larger scope game (hopefully to come out next year) and this game jam was a great break from that and gave us a lot of experience.

Thanks again for the feedback! And for joining us on stream for a bit. (And watching me struggle through frog haha)

Deep Sleep by Link270 2021-05-05T01:08:21Z

@olddog This game is more about the ambiance, story, and experience than simply having fun. A fast run through of the game also will last you at least ten or so minutes so I hope you had the chance the play through the whole game. :)

Deep Sleep by Link270 2021-05-05T13:56:03Z

@seebass22 Thanks for letting me know. That’s interesting it would get stuck like that. We saw one instance of some weird movement behavior when someone has a controller plugged that was affecting the movement. I haven’t had time to fully test out the Linux build so it could be something unique to that. I’ll be sure to take a bit of time to test it out better in Linux for sure. I am glad you were at least able to complete it.

Deep Sleep by Link270 2021-05-06T00:21:37Z

@ismael-rodriguez Thanks for the feedback! (Your game was one of our favorites!) We for sure want to add a few things in a post jam version. Adding additional sounds and interactions is on the top of that list. Help things become more immersive and a little less confusing haha And of course some settings and the like will be added as well.

Deep Sleep by Link270 2021-05-06T00:22:48Z

@louhol Thanks for the notes! We want to try to make a more fleshed out post jam version, so that’s some good advice I’ll be sure to look into for release! I really enjoy all the feedback we’ve gotten from other devs like yourself.

Deep Sleep by Link270 2021-05-07T21:33:13Z

@paulloz Thanks!! It was great watching you play it on stream too!

Deep Sleep by Link270 2021-05-07T22:15:32Z

@cppchriscpp Thanks for the great feedback! About the final scene with the credits, if you walk straight you will go up a hill to the small playground. Once you reach that it triggers the credits. We do have plans to make that more obvious. Watching some people play we’ve realized that a lot of people look around and go in a random direction and take a while to get to the center. When I played it I just started walking straight so I never thought anything of it. Haha But for the future we do want to make more visual cues for that (or change it entirely) so thanks for the notes!

Tiptap the Tadpole vs. the Menacing Cthonic Horde by Knipsch 2021-04-28T08:08:05Z

Cool art style and very creative game play. This would be a cool multiplayer game if you had separate screens and stuff to play from. I liked it. Good job.

Rabbit Rappel by MatterLinx 2021-04-30T05:06:26Z

Super fun game, I enjoyed it a lot! This was a great teaser in what could be a really nice game for sure. For the future you should add a tutorial and ramp the difficulty up a bit more. I'm sure there are a lot more mechanics that could be added as well, but the core you have here is solid. Nicely done, one of the favorite one's I have played!

How Deep is Your Love by Bruno Cafe 2021-05-02T06:33:25Z

Ending was great, very nice job. Fun gameplay, everything was very smooth and simple to follow.

Danger Rat by Studio Gomp 2021-04-28T07:52:51Z

Very fun. The movement was super fluid which make playing very pleasant. It could be hard at times, but was never frustrating which is a great accomplishment. Awesome job!

Dahla's Journey by PiJaMar 2021-04-30T07:00:24Z

I liked this game. It mildly gave me Into the breach vibes, which is another fantastic game. It's a cool idea and a really fun take on a turn based style of game. Great job! Thanks for joining the steam and letting us try it out!

Deeper and Deeper in the Woods by Mizatorian 2021-05-02T05:58:47Z

It's much better to have a finished short game than anything long. I had fun listening to the audio and running through. Good job at your first jam, imho getting a game finished is such a good feeling it helps you to improve and realize you can actually finish something. haha

[HTML5] Bodenhorizont by minotalen 2021-04-28T07:48:36Z

Loved it! It was good to play it on stream because the developer could chime in and answer questions and explain how things worked. Without that some of the instructions may not have been quite as clear. There were also a lot of times that the oaths would end, so adding a way to make sure there is always a path could be a good idea maybe? I think adding some stuff into the sky would also be a great addition. Maybe just a plant growing stronger from the longer roots or something would be cool? And maybe some sort of underground threat. Something like moles that will eat away some vibes sometimes. Good job!

Potato Pandemonium by SugarSugarSugar 2021-04-28T06:38:12Z

Awesome game! I love the humor a lot, feels like it was made for fun, in a good way. It was a little hard to move and seemed a little too hard, but good time!

Beepo's Shop by itsBoats 2021-04-30T05:29:57Z

Super fun, I love this type of a game a lot! Very well done. You could honestly expand this to be almost endless with more upgrades and more things, like maybe you could drill three at once to move faster or something, etc. Awesome job! Also, even though you didn't make the music, the music you found works really well, so props on that as well.

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Chop! Chop! by Josh6680 2022-04-21T07:21:13Z

Awesome little game! I could have played for a long time, but I ended just shy of 5 minutes haha My biggest recommendation would be to add a bit of variety, I would love to see the wood you collect be treated as a currency of some sort that you could use for upgrades, things like a better axe, higher wood capacity, improvements to the fire, etc. Nice work!

Loop by Geckoo1337 2022-04-11T18:00:24Z

Really fun little game. When building a game I always think of grand ideas and plans and have to cut more than half of my ideas by the end to actually get something out. This one was so simple and easy to play, yet very well done and addicting. The difficulty scales up nice and I felt that sense of progression by watching my score increase every second, and the leaderboard is an excellent idea. I need to add one of those into my next jam for sure. Well done!

Sunny-Life Waste Disposal by joe40001 2022-04-21T07:05:32Z

Super interesting game. I liked the mechanics, though it would be nice if there was a bit more going on. I.E. when you fix something it could be for different time periods, or maybe some different mechanics randomly, etc. The art was rad. It looked so purposeful, which made it really impress me and feel really nice all together. The audio was also really nice and felt right in the mood. Well done!!

Wigglesmith by Kukiol 2022-04-16T05:50:47Z

Really cool idea for the game, art and music were awesome and loved the idea. However the controls and the arm just didn't seem to work very well. Unless I was missing something completely I was only able to craft one weapon, it was super difficult to get any of the blades onto the anvil, it just never seemed to be able to reach.

One More Song! by hadesfury 2022-04-08T06:10:42Z

Haha really cool little game. Loved the style and the ideas behind it. Nice job!

Really fun! I enjoyed the art and audio a lot, the game play was really cool. I would love to see some upgrades and such added, that would make it fun to keep playing, etc.

Ludum Distractio by PhilStrahl 2022-04-16T05:45:12Z

Super fun I really enjoyed it! I got all but one bug! The browser version the scroll wheel doesn't seem to work, which made it really hard to get to the other bugs, grabbing the scroll bar works, but not very well when trying to skip around. Otherwise really really fun!

Devil of Destiny by Fatsheep 2022-04-21T07:30:54Z

Cool idea, the art of the boss and the guns and such were all really nice. If you were to replicate that style for the arena that would look really nice! Some music would really improve the overall atmosphere, and of course additional moves and such would help as well. What would be cool is if you had multiple bosses that would show up overtime, or some minion enemies you can actually kill, etc. Nice job!

Block or Bust by 100th_Coin 2022-04-21T08:18:28Z

What the crap!? haha awesome game! I loved it! Not even sure what else to say, just awesome job! Way to have an awesome mind that can think up this stuff hahaha Nice job, thanks for creating this. haha

Orbles by Rongo Matane 2022-04-08T21:55:11Z

Amazing game! Had a great time playing it. I played and failed and played until I beat it, taking me at least 30-40 minutes. haha I loved the ideas and how everything worked. It was a blast once I figured out what was going on.

Some notes, There were a few bugs I ran into while playing, nothing that killed the game, but it felt like it was struggling towards about the halfway point when I was working towards my second orb. The game would freeze and stutter a lot, especially if I tried to increase the speed. I was playing the web version, so this may partially why. It froze once and I thought it was going to crash, but it recovered okay.

Another bug I noticed with my orriors, unless I wasn't understanding the mechanics, I had a few watchtowers setup in the top right to go for the last orb, but no one was coming to attack, the towers said they had a bunch of guys garrisoned as well. When the enemies were really close to me the flood gates opened and all the orriors that should have been there flooded out and once and slaughtered haha It was funny to watch, and I'm glad they came to the rescue, but a little weird they took so long.

It's totally understandable to have bugs like this for a jam game. The bugs didn't really affect my experience and won't affect the rating at all.

For anyone struggling I found that just getting a ton of farms and huts out early was really important, once you're flowing with little guys you can more easily get orriors out of them. The mine areas seem to put out plenty of recourses, I could have 3-4 forts from one mine and my bottleneck was just waiting on the slow orblings to show up, they move really slowly, so if you have a big flow that helps. Don't go for the first orb to early, the enemies come in really hard when you start and harder when you get one, so wait until you have a good amount of space before attempting it. Finally, use the watchtowers, place them where you need your orriors to go, and delete the ones you no longer need. The guys seem to spread out to the watchtowers, so if I needed more on one spot I would place a few there to encourage them to go in that direction.

Took me quite a few tries, but I'm glad I got it. Nicely done!

Sunday Traffic by Mads 2022-04-06T05:56:31Z

Really cool game, I had a great time with it. I liked that cars appeared without me even noticing. There were just more cars all of a sudden and I didn't even know where they came from! The one note is it was a little hard to tell the direction the cars were going, especially when there were a ton of cars, so they could be backed up by two lights and I didn't know which they were waiting for without clicking both lights for example. Really fun though, I enjoyed it a lot.

Farm Dog by Trypants 2022-04-06T20:28:26Z

Really fun, love the upgrade system a lot. Simple art style that works really well. Good job!

Unhoarded by Andreas Roschal 2022-04-09T06:47:11Z

Really fun! I enjoyed it a lot! Nice idea, fun execution. Very well done!

The Last Stand by MaxKyckling 2022-04-21T19:53:57Z

Really fun! I loved the game play and style. Everything felt really nice and well worked! I didn't play forever since I wanted to rate it before time was up, but I could have played for a long time! Only recommendation really would be to add some additional towers/units and make it a little more visible what your materials and power levels are at.

Moonshot by Diego Escalante 2022-04-19T16:21:37Z

Really nice game! I enjoyed it a lot! The first time I played I was wishing there was audio of some sort, then I realized my speakers were messed up haha so I played it again just to hear the audio, and it was really well done! I love the screen shakes and effects, and the controls felt both snappy and the acceleration was great to still require some skill to get through. My only feedback would be to add some sort of "currency" and upgrades to the mix. I am glad there were auto upgrades at least, but it would be fun to be able to upgrade your nuke each round how you want. More speed, damage, maybe even give the nuke a few laser blasts or something as upgrade options? Really well done though! I liked it!

The Great Flood by cassowary 2022-04-08T05:56:16Z

Wow! Really awesome game! I love cool puzzle games, and the elements and ideas you had in here were super enjoyable. I loved that you had the different levels of water marked on the tiles so I could see where the water was and where it was going. The boxes floating was brilliant too haha I would love to see this expanded and more puzzle elements and ideas added in. Would be a great game for sure. Well done!

The Eclipse by CandleBird 2022-04-08T06:43:42Z

Really cool game! I loved the idea and innovation. I didn't really read the rules, so when I realized I was sending out units to both sides I was pretty amazed haha Really cool! Great job!

Cubic Defence by LeYamez 2022-04-08T06:23:55Z

Cool game. I liked the idea of collecting the resources you needed to build the towers. The only issue for me was the controls didn't seem super intuitive. I figured them out pretty quickly, but there seemed to be some bugs, I wasn't able to place a few towers at times. Nice work!

The Endless Night by Arivenzys 2022-04-08T05:29:58Z

Really cool art and great idea!

Horde of Methuselah by mrjeremy 2022-04-09T07:25:18Z

I like the idea a lot, really cool thing you've got here. However I don't think the execution was all that great. Hopefully you can re visit and upgrade some things to make it much better. A big thing would be more player feedback. I had no idea how much anything cost, or why my resources just randomly seemed to disappear. It made it hard fopr me to really come up with a good strategy. Good job though, I hope to see this continued, great idea!

DLAY's Buffet by BinaryPrinciple 2022-04-16T05:54:28Z

It was really short and extremely easy. Especially when we saw you don't have to aim, just press spacebar. haha Nice work though, music was pretty good.

Riverlands by Salier 2022-04-21T06:44:29Z

Cool game! I liked the idea, I wasn't sure what the bridges were for exactly, but I survived for a while until a random river decided to go crazy and destroy me. haha well done!

Don't Melt by jogy34 2022-04-08T06:50:38Z

haha really fun little game. Well done!

The big ADIOS by Tobias Kiehnlein 2022-04-21T07:46:23Z

Music and art were decent. It was kinda hard to know exactly what was going on however, and it never really felt inevitable, since I just sat there and my score went up until I quit. Good job though!

The Hero (...Always Wins) by Link270 2022-04-05T16:40:52Z

@velvetlobster Were going to look into it tonight. It’s made with Unreal, so not as easy to do web as something like unity, but we shall see what we’re able to come up with for sure!

The Hero (...Always Wins) by Link270 2022-04-05T16:43:51Z

@janku We had a simple upgrade system in place that we wanted to expand, but we scrapped it due to time and it was already so hard to balance with the current options, adding upgrades would have made that even harder given the time. Haha we still need to go through and better balance it a bit.

We had animations for the towers and their attacks, however I was having trouble getting them to work due to the way I setup the towers vs the normal NPCs. I’ll get them working in the future. Also we did have plans to add some effects, so you’d be able to see some sort of attack coming off the towers, particles or smoke when things die/respawn, etc. thanks for the feedback!!

The Hero (...Always Wins) by Link270 2022-04-05T23:59:00Z

@heiach the voices overlapping is definitely a bug that I swear I got fixed.. thanks for bringing it up, I’ll have to check it out. The dialogue is something you want to hear one at a time for sure! Hahah

The Hero (...Always Wins) by Link270 2022-04-06T00:01:07Z

@dannyk1994 we finally got a tutorial image uploaded to the page here, hopefully that will help others understand. A better in game situation was in the plans but time got the better of us with so much else to figure out haha that will for sure be in a further version. Thanks for the feedback!

The Hero (...Always Wins) by Link270 2022-04-06T02:07:02Z

@chris-pugliese thanks for the feedback! That is a great idea for sure. Destroying towers is also something we have on the list for post jam. The game also needs a bit more balancing and tuning, It’s surprisingly difficult to balance a game, even as simple as what we made, especially when you do it in the last hour while also trying to fix last bugs haha thanks for playing!

The Hero (...Always Wins) by Link270 2022-04-06T03:39:49Z

@leorid Thanks for the feedback! We echo a lot of the things you suggested, most were on the plans, but time of course got in the way haha With only two main people working on it, it can get out of hand quickly haha The size of the map actually wasn't that big of a time sink, a lot of it came down to getting all the mechanics working properly, including adding all the animations and voices that we did manage to somehow get out haha lot's of moving parts and we had to scrap our entire upgrade system towards the end. Particle effects/VFX was a really big thing I really really wanted to get in, but too many bugs at the end made it impossible to get to unfortunately, I do agree heavily that would have really improved it overall.

As far as the hero scaling, he should be scaling 1.8 times each death, so you may have had a bug, or you were just really good at the game haha. It's designed so that after about 5-6 deaths he should start to really get powerful and really hard to beat. I do feel our biggest downfall at the moment is the balancing, it takes way more work to balance than we anticipated, so that needs some tweaks for sure. Thanks for the feedback again!

The Hero (...Always Wins) by Link270 2022-04-06T03:50:41Z

@tacolord Thanks man! Thanks for playing!!

The Hero (...Always Wins) by Link270 2022-04-06T15:10:30Z

@phoenixofforce thanks for playing! Yeah, we had some effects and stuff planned out, along with some animations that didn’t work, but just couldn’t get to them. Haha adding those will definitely make it easier to see what is going on with the towers!

The Hero (...Always Wins) by Link270 2022-04-08T01:57:07Z

@raptor851 thanks for playing! We really ramped up the difficulty for the Jam so it didn’t take forever to lose, since most probably don’t want to spend forever on any one game. Haha

Everything needs a bit more turning for sure, but I agree the healer needs the most. We reduced his heal ability to once every three seconds, which is really not enough for later. We want to add some upgrades and things that would help you last long and let it keep being enjoyable.

Thanks again for playing!!

The Hero (...Always Wins) by Link270 2022-04-08T18:44:37Z

@ldp thanks for the feedback! I like the idea of having multiple hero’s. Maybe the option to choose a hero to defend against, or an option to spawn a random hero on death, etc. that would make it a bit more interesting for sure. Upgrades are absolutely something we want, we had them planned, alongside other towers and unit, that got scrapped due to time haha but we are excited to build it out and hopefully get something a little more full out there.

The Hero (...Always Wins) by Link270 2022-04-09T01:39:33Z

@anchoredtoad thanks! We had a lot of fun making it and it turned out really nice and funny.

The Hero (...Always Wins) by Link270 2022-04-09T23:10:09Z

@jul-li Yeah, the way the movement and path are generated doesn’t work extremely well with the obstacles haha but I didn’t want to try to change it when we got towards the end. I for sure want to fine tune that for a post jam version though!

The Hero (...Always Wins) by Link270 2022-04-09T23:12:07Z

@dodormeur hmmmm I’m not sure? It might be something you need to install. The game was made with unreal engine so maybe there are some extra things that need to be installed for your computer to let it work.

The Hero (...Always Wins) by Link270 2022-04-18T02:39:58Z

@gamescodedogs thanks for playing! The mask guys in the tower shoot the hero when in range and the one nes on the ground attack him when he gets in range. We do need to have better feedback to show what everything does for sure. Thanks for the comment!

The Hero (...Always Wins) by Link270 2022-04-19T16:04:42Z

@rubixnoob13 In tests we found it was really easy at first to just keep going and not lose for quite a while, which for the amount of stuff we were able to get in made it get boring pretty quickly. So we bumped up the difficulty a lot, the hero doubles in power each death haha This made it a bit more fun for a jam entry since you could play for a few minutes, die, then try again and not have to spend a ton of time on it unless you really wanted to keep going. I think I only ever got to 3 hero's killed as well, and getting past about four is the farthest I've seen. hah Thanks for playing!

OozGlorp in the Dungeon of Zlorx by xmagpie42 2022-04-16T05:58:36Z

There really needs to be a way to respawn after death. Having to close and reopen every time really killed the enjoyment for me. The art looked decent and I really wanted to give it a solid chance. Good job though! If you can next time add some music, even if it's just a random royalty free song you find somewhere online, that would really help the game.

Protocol Delta by itsBoats 2022-04-21T06:22:42Z

I will always play an its boats game! Super awesome! Loved the mechanics, way unique take on this "Asteroids" style game. Music and art were both super clean. I played with a controller and that worked really well! Nice job as always!!

D-Lay Guetta Party Hard by Turtle Games 2022-04-21T05:34:29Z

Nice work! Fun little game. I like that there were a lot of different things going on, from the fun police to things slowly breaking quicker and quicker. Fun music and graphics!

Morpheus of Mars by AnneArkey 2022-04-16T06:14:17Z

Really cool to see a RTS game! The controls were nice and felt intuitive. Pathfinding was great! One big thing I would have liked to see would have been some music in game, that can make a huge difference. Also, it didn't seem super intuitive what to do to win and whatnot. I fixed all three comms and nothing happened, so maybe I did something wrong? Either way, nice job! And I loved the A/D sequence at the start. haha

Morpheus of Mars by AnneArkey 2022-04-19T16:01:11Z

Oh okay, that makes total sense. We had similar things in our game, where things felt obvious to us, but we didn't have time to put in good enough feedback for the player to actually know what was going on. haha I know what you mean by not getting everything done that you plan, we certainly did the same thing. Awesome job regardless!

Bitboy by Proxy-Games 2022-04-21T08:04:30Z

Wow! I was legit blown away by this game! It's so simple overall, and yet the story was really really cool! I got to what I presume is the actual end (It is done, see you soon.) I'm glad I did, great game, great effort! Loved it!

Timeless by shmador 2022-04-09T07:15:17Z

Pretty solid game. I enjoyed the puzzles and ideas. I also really enjoy hard games, but only when they are fair. This game had a few spots where the timing needed to beat the level simply was not fair. Imo that could be addressed. I won't hurt the score because I'm not a good enough player though haha just wanted to mention it. Awesome job!

The End Is Coming by MOOOKS 2022-04-21T05:55:09Z

Really fun! Nice graphics and audio! The gameplay was really nice, a cool cylindrical pong type game. Really responsive and nice feedback when the meteor hit! Nice job!

Darko by Sodoj 2022-04-16T06:23:18Z

Wow very fun! Loved the game play a lot! One recommendation would be some sort of music in the game to add to that overall feel. I also wish there would be a little bit more feedback when I could attack the enemies. They turned red which was helpful, but there could be something a little more, maybe a little tiny bit of an auto focus on enemies? Not really suggesting, just throwing out ideas haha Awesome job!

School Grade by Charles IdB 2022-04-21T06:11:37Z

Pretty decent little game. I wish the controls were a little bit tighter and the obstacles were more forgiving. I seemed to die for no reason a few times.

Last Moment by Finn Pickart 2022-04-08T06:16:40Z

Pretty fun little game. It had a really chill mode to it and I loved the overall idea. The physics need some work haha but it made me laugh to see the ball, or myself, get launched up out of nowhere at times. Nice work!

Kinderkaos by Gravityflip 2022-04-21T19:23:54Z

This was awesome, one of the few games that legit had me laughing out loud. The music fits so well and the toddler Ai is perfectly realistic haha nice work.

LD51 — Every 10 seconds

Chicken farm by Hadik 2022-10-07T05:13:26Z

Cute graphics and a fun idea. I really wish there was more to it, and the game desperately needs some audio! That said I spent quite a while just chilling with my chickens, so nice job!

Laika's Revenge by bloodyaugust 2022-10-08T05:58:31Z

Art style was nice, and the vampire survivors gameplay was well done, however I felt sooo slow at the start it was really hard to want to keep going, I'm sure you can get upgrades for that later, but it would be nice to be a little quicker from the start. Nice work!

Gelato Drift by thomz12 2022-10-06T06:30:43Z

Nice job! Was really fun and the driving felt a little wild, but also controllable which made the game really enjoable.

Cook'n'Slash! by Nikolay Zapolnov 2022-10-07T19:08:45Z

Nice fun little game! I liked the idea a lot and it fit the theme well. The graphics were nice, but everything looked like it was plastic, which I don't know if it was an intentional choice or just how it ended up. Either way it did look good and the sounds were funny. I liked that the chefs clothes and ground would turn the color of the stuff you killed though. nice job!

Just Roll With It! by Cornflowerblue 2022-10-08T05:53:37Z

Pretty cool game. The character looked amazing and the audio was perfect, super cool! The environment needed a little more work, it was a little bland, but I can understand that you kinda have to decide whether to make more levels and content, or better designs. The gameplay was good, if really basic, most came from the level design which I wasn't a huge fan of. I feel that this type of fast game play would be better as a more straight, or on rails type of game where the speed can shine! Rather than platforming and whatnot. Either way it was really cool, nice work!

PULSAR by kazuo256 2022-10-07T05:56:20Z

Pretty cool little game. I think there needs to be a bit more detail and feedback is all. I wanted to have more information while I was playing the game on what everything was and what they were doing. The power also seemed to move very slow and I lost a lot of settlements because the power just couldn't get there in time. Really nice job though!

Negative-G by EX3D0 2022-10-06T05:16:50Z

Cool idea! I really liked it. I was really surprised when it was over, It'd be awesome to see this but with more content, nice job!

Shutter Chaos by ColeSlaughter 2022-10-07T19:01:44Z

haha This was really funny! Sometimes it would say my picture was bad when it should have been good, and good when it should have been bad, and sometimes the arms and stuff would just freak out, but overall it worked really well and was a good time. Nice work!

EX SOMNIUM by GuitarBro 2022-10-07T06:09:14Z

The graphics were interesting, but the area felt very empty. The gameplay loop was interesting, but I feel like there needs to be a lot more feedback and direction. It was very hard to know what I could possibly interact with as it looked like everything else in the world. Was pretty cool though, good job.

Yes, Comrade. by Hugimugi7 2022-10-08T05:08:41Z

Really Really cool! Gave me papers please vibes. I liked the game and how it all worked. Main thing I wanted was it to be a little shorter per section, so after doing maybe 3 connections or so you go out to a small scene and can do some other side mechanic or whatever. I really wanted to keep playing for the story after I got past the first section, but it took a little too long to keep going. I also thought the theme was sorta tacked into the game instead of the game being around the theme, though it seemed to work well enough. Great job all around!

Gravity Crush by AndideBob 2022-10-08T06:16:17Z

Really fun! I always love games with upgrades and the like! My only gripe was escape quit the game.. Twice I pressed escape thinking I could quickly pause the game and it just cancelled on me. My fault for doing it twice haha but I would recommend making that a pause menu that you can quit from. Awesome job though!

BeaT-Rex by Andreas Roschal 2022-10-07T05:37:15Z

Verrrrry fun! I had a really good time! I love the auto attacks to the music and the upgrade systems. If there were more enemies, more events and upgrades and things this could be a very successful game I feel like!

10 Second Mixtape by Scott Steffes 2022-10-07T05:25:49Z

Really cool idea! I love the idea of making things like this with others. The sounds were really nice, and graphics were cool. As far as a game goes there wasn't a ton there, it was more like a cool experience. Nice job!

Renew my Subscription by cassowary 2022-10-06T06:22:10Z

This was really cool and super smart! I loved seeing all the different mechanics all working so well together. Awesome job!

Cubical Mayhem by pepnou 2022-10-11T18:46:35Z

Cool game! I liked the resources, upgrades, and progression. The cube mechanic was cool and interesting, though I'm not sure if there was more to it than just rotating you currently available buildings? Could get really complex if you set it up so you get a bonus if all of a certain factory was on a full side or something, not sure if that would be fun or not haha but an idea. The graphics were fun and I enjoyed them. The game needs to usual game jam polish still, i.e. making it easier to tell if I can afford something by showing me how much I have in requirements for each building so I don't have to look up and try to find the resource I need, though it doesn't need a ton more polish. What I'm trying to say is it was really good! haha

My main complaint, was the music. It seemed okay, but felt like it was just a bunch of totally random notes played in a super short loop. Short loops like that aren't a problem, I use them in my game due to the time constraints we have haha however this one just never sounded right and got annoying pretty fast, which is a bit of an issue when the game can go on for a while.

Overall though, you got me to stick and play it until the end even with the music haha so really good job!!

The Goose Bureau by Tricky_Fat_Cat 2022-10-07T05:21:06Z

Was a fun experience. I think the controls are a bit too floaty imo. There were also a bunch of rough colliders and things that I feel could be better. I like the jump and dash situation and the platforming and whatnot was nicely done.

Shattering Star by Emty 2022-10-08T05:43:31Z

I liked the theme idea and how that worked. The art and audio needed a little bit more work, and the story ended really quickly, before we could see more of the actual story. Nice work though.

Home R.I.P.airs by JoyKangpae 2022-10-07T19:14:29Z

Nice job! I had a good time and understood the mechanics really easily. The graphics were nice, though animations could be a little better, sound was good, but seemed a tad loud, though I guess I could have just turned them down haha At first it was really easy, and I was worried I would just go forever, but it ramped up quickly. Well done!

OH! STUPID ENGINEER by ThatzNiko 2022-10-07T06:01:58Z

Pretty fun game. I liked the upgrades and different things you could get.

Roadeo by Krzyhau 2022-10-07T04:56:29Z

Pretty fun! I enjoyed the audio a lot, the song was repetitive, but never felt like it. Fun little gameplay loop. I wish there was a little more to do, but I did like it. nice job.

Bots, Bots, Bots by Link270 2022-10-05T06:43:02Z

@labtoast I'm way glad you liked it! We love these types of games too, so it was a blast to make! The overflow was intentional haha We thought it would be a good reward to get the ultimate robot and have him just go crazy! So he squares each of your currencies every ten seconds and overflows the values super quick, along with spawning a bunch of free robots haha We thought about making it an infinity symbol instead of negative, but thought we would keep it at least for the jam entry. (That and I ran out of time/forgot about it haha) Thanks for playing!!!

Bots, Bots, Bots by Link270 2022-10-06T20:57:51Z

@eidovolta Thanks! and thanks for the feedback. They have a little bit different color on them, but the overall model is the same, so yeah maybe a slightly different design per bot would help a bit. Glad you liked it!!

Bots, Bots, Bots by Link270 2022-10-07T03:52:24Z

@dxk2294 thanks I’m glad you liked it!! The tutorial does need some work. We had to put that together super quick so we just did some images and whatnot but we want to make it a little better and put it into the game more so at some point.

I am honestly surprised we did as many sound effects as we did haha I hurriedly grabbed my phone and ran to my garage to record a bunch of random sounds when I took a break. I’ll have to do some more at some point for sure! Good feedback, thanks!

Bots, Bots, Bots by Link270 2022-10-07T16:32:21Z

@pete-thorne Im sorry you didn’t have a great experience on Mac. It seemed to work fine for me on my M1 Pro MacBook Pro, though I didn’t play it for super long. It could be as @1minatur said and you build the repair centers before you were able to generate enough silicon. If you try again build a bunch of robots and build up a little currency first. Though it is possible it’s just struggling on Mac.

@kaech oh that is weird. It seems to just be outing random things in the requirements. It requires 180,000 silicon and the other numbers are for gold and diamond, but I’m sorry it was being so strange for you.I hope you enjoyed what you were able to play! I’ll have to look into that big some more as I haven’t seen it happen to anyone else yet. Thanks for letting us know!

Bots, Bots, Bots by Link270 2022-10-08T21:57:01Z

@cogent-invalid thanks for the feedback. Making building placement matter is something we want to add for future versions for sure, that would really add quite a bit more depth to the strategy of the game. That bug is really weird and I never saw happen for myself, but I’ve seen it happen to others while Al watching them play, of course I didn’t see it until recently so I won’t be able to fix it during the jam, but I do want to go in and get it fixed, along with a few other bugs, for future versions. Thanks for bringing it up! And glad you enjoyed it, thanks for playing!

Bots, Bots, Bots by Link270 2022-10-12T05:32:51Z

@miche Thanks for playing!! We love these types of games too and it was a blast to make one! The resources for the ultimate robot have some weird bug going on that I need to figure out at some point. I didn't even realize it was happening until someone made a comment on here. Thanks for playing!

Bots, Bots, Bots by Link270 2022-10-15T17:08:39Z

@enderswype haha yeah it is on purpose. Or rather, we square your resources every 10 seconds with the ultimate robot, so it causes and isn’t overflow pretty quick, and we decided it would be fun to just leave it that way for the jam at least. Glad you enjoyed it!!

Bots, Bots, Bots by Link270 2022-10-22T15:18:48Z

@itsboats hey itsboats!! Thanks for playing the game! We are slowly trying to get closer to your caliber of game! Haha

Thanks so much for the feedback! Some of the bugs we’ve seen and need to fix for sure. Adding color coding is something @tanner-shelton is really wanting to add for a next version along with more detail and colors to buildings. I can’t believe I didn’t add an escape to leave the pause menu… I explicitly remember thinking ti do that during development haha I can’t remember if the ui not being centered was intentional, or if it was just something we weren’t able to get fixed in time. @tanner-shelton ? (None of us have ultrawides though, so it may just be an issue there, thanks for bringing it up!) the tutorial we totally agree needs some extra work. It was literally tacked on so quickly at the end we didn’t even get to think about it, so it needs a bit of a rework.

I’m glad you liked it! We had a blast making it and I am super proud of it! Thanks for the feedback, it helps a ton! Can’t wait to see you in future Jams haha good luck with results!

Fast Food In10sifies by Grau 2022-10-07T18:55:06Z

Wow, this was really fun! Once I knew what everything was it started to become easy for a while, until I needed a lot of ingredients, and my patties started burning haha really well done!

Hostile Climate by Roboolet 2022-10-07T19:23:01Z

Really cool game! I loved the idea of the different dangers coming at you and having to adapt to them. The main thing I would have wanted was a way to know what danger was coming next. The first time it was antigravity so I fell into the sky. I restarted and hid under a rock incase it was antigravity, but it was lava that came from the ground so I died from that. haha If I knew lava was coming I could stand on top of something instead, etc. Either way though really cool take on the theme and platforming! nice job!!

Speed Dating for Misfits by itsBoats 2022-10-08T05:32:24Z

It's Boats!!! I always look forward to your games! This one was really funny. The writing was great and the ideas were super cool. Starting our game our first idea was speed dating haha So I'm glad you did it so we can have such a great time!

10-Second Magic Artist by vivyhasadream 2022-10-07T05:47:11Z

Pretty cool. I love the AI art programs that are going around, they are really really impressive and it was cool to see it in a game.

Woolly Fire by Arthur Sorignet--Gautrot 2022-10-07T05:04:52Z

Really cool idea. I loved the look and the music was pretty good. I ran into quite a few bugs that really hurt my enjoyment, but I can still see the game and how it was supposed to work. If the bugs were ironed out a bit more then it could become really fun!

Aberration by waterfowler 2022-10-05T17:24:00Z

Nice little game! I had fun figuring it all out. It would be nice if it was a little longer. I also thought I had to freeze during the notification time so others would think I was also getting one. This may have been a mechanic but I didn't see it. If it isn't then pressing a button when you're in the light could bring out your phone and blend in, adding another aspect to the game. Nice job.

LD53 — Delivery

Undead Express by Zaphire 2023-05-18T03:28:47Z

Cool concept and it looks decent, but it was basically unplayable for me unfortunately :\

Verses & Vibes by Madbarron 2023-05-12T03:58:10Z

Really cool idea! had a good time. Nice work!

packet.Breach() by Celtican 2023-05-18T03:56:14Z

Really cool game! I thought the begining sequence was fun just mashing away to type, and I laughed when it gave me a y/n option, I pressed n and it autofilled to y. haha The game itself is also a cool idea. I liked seeing all the different towers and how they all worked. It all seemed to work well. As others have mentioned the visibility could use a little work, and I also think a little more explanation would be helpful overall. That being said I did play for a bit and had a good time. I also was able to figure it all out after a try or two.

Nice work!!

Medieval Package Delivery Company by Link270 2023-05-10T14:47:16Z

@selkieharbour Thanks for the feedback! I am planning to add that possibly as a “detect auto settings” button or something on the start screen, along with a few other customizable options I think, if I can find the time lol. I’m sure that will help make the game much more playable for a lot of people!

Medieval Package Delivery Company by Link270 2023-05-12T06:05:12Z

@selkieharbour I finally got around to adding a button to enable those auto settings, and we also made a few additional simple optimizations. Hopefully you'll be able to actually run the game now!

Medieval Package Delivery Company by Link270 2023-05-12T21:09:29Z

@veralos Thats for the great feedback! I forgot that the game isn’t beatable in v1.0… we rushed to blanket add building colliders and forgot that we actually needed to be able to go through the castle doors. Haha we didn’t realize this until later and when we made the fix I forgot to make a v1.0 with that bug fixed and it just made it into v1.1.. I’ll make a note of that on the main page.

Art is all @tanner-shelton realm and he did a way good job! The music coming from a direction was partially intentional, but the effect is way too strong so I agree it’s a bit off putting. I’ll have to tweak that a bit for later versions.

Thanks for the notes on the gameplay as well. It does need a bit of a rework to become more engaging. The attack itself it directly tied to the animation, and since the animation is pretty small it doesn’t read super well. I’d love to have a bit more extravagant animations for attacks, and different attacks for each race. Then improving the feedback and everything would be a really important thing to improve I agree. If the combat was a bit more engaging I bet the walking around portions wouldn’t feel as dull. Our initial idea when coming up with this game was help up a lot by humor. We were able to add a little of that into the game, but what we really wanted was a fun little “fetch quest” style side quest that makes fun of itself and is fun and funny to explore and see what everyone has to say. Since we weren’t able to fully capture that vision, the end result of the more simple gameplay doesn’t really hold up quite as well on its own.

I’m just rambling here, but I think an issue we had was focusing too much on smaller less important things too quickly. I put too much time into the lock on mechanic early on when I should have been refining the dialogue delivery and even just the base combat haha

Thanks again for the feed back! Glad you got to play it!

Medieval Package Delivery Company by Link270 2023-05-12T21:10:57Z

@weirdbitgames thank you for the feedback! I’m glad you were able to explore our little world! It was really fun to make and we’re pretty proud of that part of it for sure!

Medieval Package Delivery Company by Link270 2023-05-18T19:30:53Z

@gardenovena haha yeah we have a bad habit of going over scope haha we promised ourselves we wouldn’t do that this time, but here we are. Haha thanks for playing!

Medieval Package Delivery Company by Link270 2023-05-19T14:05:41Z

@studio-endeva thanks for playing!! I’m pretty sure we fixed some of the pop in issues and other things in the post jam versions, so I’m glad you’ll be able to check it out!

Delivery Is EVERYTHING by SephoWepho 2023-05-18T03:39:39Z

Cool little game, really liked the idea! The game looked and sounded great overall. I felt like the tutorial was too long as well. I almost would have preferred just a simple tutorial telling me what I needed to do then maybe throw a few things up. The way you have it could work, but needs a little refinement. For a game where you're telling jokes I didn't feel like it was as funny as maybe it should have been? That's just a personal preference, but if you were able to lean into the humor a bit more heavily in both the jokes, but maybe also things like playing jokes on the player or doing different things, etc. that could have helped a little bit.

Good job!

The Antidelivery Room by kaliuresis 2023-05-12T03:49:12Z

Interesting idea. I thought it had some potential. It just went on forever and I felt I got the gist of the game fairly quickly. Nice work.

LD59 — Signal

Sacred Bleorgan Artifacts by marudziik 2026-04-24T01:42:47Z

What a solid game. Felt pretty fair and fun to play. I'm honestly just impressed you were able to keep your scope small enough to finish something and polish it this well within 48 hours. I always struggle hard with scope. haha The only minor thing with this is the text can e a little hard to read with certain letters sometimes, but given it fully matches the style of the game I'd give it a pass. Nice work!

Tiny Signal Lost by Strega 2026-04-22T04:13:53Z

Really nice game! It felt polished with the little bots around giving their extra commentary. I loved that there were multiple types of signals and their range and speed was what made them special. Really nice job for a fun cleaver little game.

Wool Street by acid 2026-04-24T03:25:58Z

Nice work. The tutorial helped a lot, without it the game would have been a lot worse. Controls were easy, and the game was easy to get the hang of.

RoboNET by neowhoru 2026-04-23T03:08:39Z

Fun little game, loved the idea a lot. Execution was decent, overall nice work!

Router Wilds by Brainoid 2026-04-23T03:39:33Z

Wow really clever game. I love the idea of the hot potato challenge, and even though it shows with all the different mechanics, they surprisingly managed to come together fairly well. I understand why there isn't any visual element to the signals to make aiming and reflection easier, and I think it's better that way. However, some other form of feedback on the signals would have been nice, like a sound or something just to help with the reflections. Maybe even the first level has a laser, but after that it switches to the signal. Great game over all. Really unique, and pretty enjoyable. Nice work!

Jim's Quest for Birthday present by Sobigdrasil 2026-04-23T02:03:40Z

I got the pearl! All of the assets were really well done, nice art and loved the music and the animations were perfectly done and looked super cute.

I have two pieces of feedback, these are pretty high level and a bit nitpick because the game is in such a good and polished state, so don't take them as huge issues. Firstly the pacing was a little off. It took a little longer than it should have to get going and there were times I felt like I'd walk the entire beach without finding anything. I almost stopped playing early on, but kept going and it started to ramp up a bit. That being said this is a jam game, so getting the pacing just right is not all that important. haha

Second, it felt like you were trying to go for the intuitive gameplay where the visuals make it obvious what to do and what everything does. You succeeded in a few spots, but it could use a bit more refinement to fully get there. For example I had no idea there were upgrades until I stumbled on the shop when I went near the dog. So the dog and guy outside were good drivers for me to go to the shop, but iif the big "E" didn't pop up I never would have known. I also didn't know I could go in front of the shop until half way through. haha So having a little more obvious signs would be good and adjust important pieces so they stand out a bit more. Right now everything blends together too well. haha On the same note, in the upgrade shop it wasn't ever explicit what everything did. I was able to guess, and verify some of it, but for the first level or two I wasn't sure what things did exactly. For example, I was pretty sure the shoes would have something to do with movement, but didn't know for sure it was speed until I tried it out. The shovel I didn't know until I almost had it upgraded all the way and could notice a real difference. The clover I assumed had something to do with luck, but was never 100% of all if its effects. I know it allows you to get more valuable treasures, but does it also make them spawn more often, or something else?

Anyways, really awesome job, just some rambling feedback for you I was thinking about. Nice work!

Beat the signal by Avzgui 2026-04-24T03:43:35Z

This is a hard one for me. As a drummer I am very sensitive to rhythm, especially in games. I can see what you were going for, and I was able to play just fine, but the actual points you are supposed to hit didn't align with the music great. They also didn't happen on common easy to feel beats. At the begining you at least need to have the notes you have to hit on the downbeats, then slowly ramp that up and eventually you can go crazy. The music was interesting, but I don't think it was right for this type of game. Typically you want something the players can really feel. The beat is strong and the notes you hit feel right so you can start playing the game without even looking at the note, and just know they are coming. You could also go the more chill route, which is what this felt like, but you need to add something else in there, like additional sound and a way that the player interacts with or effects the music. The other thing you need is good feedback when the player hits the note, and when they miss. They need to know just by listening, adding stronger visual queues helps too, but the sound is where it really matters.

Your visual components were interesting, I liked how the signal line changed overtime, and the ball seemed to flow over the line really nicely as well. I can see the vision, and it's by no means terrible, just wanted to give my feedback. I know how jams go and I know how time can really hurt you. I'm also sure you already know most of this feedback. haha Nice work though!

High Rollers by HardyTryer 2026-04-21T15:44:57Z

HighScore.png

Pretty solid game here! I have two main pieces of feedback:

1: I would have liked a "tutorial" screen at the start just to show the controls and quickly explain the game mechanics. It took me longer than I'd care to admit to realize I had to hold both mouse buttons to shoot, an a little longer to even understand what shooting the other guys did. haha The instructions on screen are good, but the game moves so fast so quick I had no time to look to the corner of my screen to seem them, or to see my money of buffs either without worry of crashing while I looked away.

2: I would have liked the slots view to be easier to see. If I want to look at it then I have to look away from what's in front of me, it was also hard to see what had rolled and the cost for another roll because of that. Having that a little more forward, or even on screen in an easier to see place would help that.

Overall though really solid, fun graphics, simple but effective audio, interesting game play loop, and pretty polish all things considered. Nice work!

Dragonia Siege by Euler Moises 2026-04-24T03:03:11Z

Let's go! I'll leave the following screens a secret. (A secret to everybody you might say) You guys are sneaky, but although the same was simple, the dialogue was funny and all the information to find all of the gems is there. A hint for anyone looking, go talk to everyone again, and again. !>And bring your video game lore knowledge

Nice work! Fun art and music. great dialogue, and fun sneaky puzzles. I wish the game was a little longer, but what you have is great.

We Come In Peace by Transkuja 2026-04-21T19:35:53Z

Really cool! I'm impressed at what you managed to create. The art is nice, the animations work well, when I started I was thinking it was fun and only had a few cards, I thought it was going to end, then I got even more cards and could keep going! Way more than I expected out of a typical jam game. I can't speak on how well the balancing of everything works as I didn't play it super long, but I didn't notice any obvious issues. I also really like the signal integration of giving cards multiple actions depending on the signal.

Really nice job!

The Last Headline by Helgust 2026-04-23T01:34:23Z

Cool art style and great mood. Very Papers Please feeling. The gameplay loop wasn't entirely obvious, so that could use a little work and maybe a little simplification. It might be good to start off super super simple and slowly introduce new parts to the game. Great job overall though!

Pub Protocol Panic by Tomas Poblete 2026-04-24T02:40:19Z

nice graphics, fun music, and great story/humor! The gameplay wasn't entirely intuitive, so a little tutorial would have helped a lot, but overall really nice work!

Goobers by Alopar 2026-04-24T01:57:02Z

Fun little game, the best part with the animation giving the little chick a kiss. lol I liked the idea a lot and had fun with it. It would have been nice to have additional upgrade choices, but other than that nice work. Also, I am playing from my MacBook and using Safari the player character would disappear when the game started. It worked fine on Chrome though.

Almost Empty by ewpratten 2026-04-23T03:16:49Z

Cool little game. I liked that there was some space navigation and that you could land on the planets. The graphics were a cool mix. Nice work!

Reaper: Savior of Souls by Link270 2026-04-21T18:09:14Z

@half-animal-half-beast Thanks! I added sprint on shift when I built the player at the start and never thought about it much after. haha Thinking about it, I always used shift when moving around the world, so you are correct, I should have just removed it and made movement faster. There are upgrades to increase your speed, but I agree with your feedback for sure. Thanks!!

Reaper: Savior of Souls by Link270 2026-04-22T00:47:57Z

@pelmeshik thanks!

@xeltide thank you! We had big plans (doesn’t everyone) of having a simple combat system and some end goal, but I’m glad we scrapped them to at least get this out. Haha That is good feedback to show some better total stats. While watching someone play earlier today I also realized I should have added a visual counter of how many towers you’d activated and such as well.

Reaper: Savior of Souls by Link270 2026-04-23T13:57:28Z

@mantou Thanks! So, I built a pause menu and setup Esc to pause the game, but forgot to have to pause menu actually pop up.. haha on the upgrades being weird, every time you go to the upgrades page It respawns all the upgrade icons to make sure they are accurate, but I forgot to use it clear the previous ones, so you get them stacking and hard to read. Lol classic time constrained jam bugs.. I need to put up a new build with those issues fixed at some point. Glad you liked it regardless and thanks for the feedback!

Reaper: Savior of Souls by Link270 2026-04-25T15:36:54Z

@aashen Thanks! The signal theme is from the signal lines around the player that grow and shrink directing you to the towers you can activate around the world.

Warden of the Depths by Alex de la Cour 2026-04-24T04:10:25Z

Screenshot 2026-04-23 at 9.54.46 PM.png

Trying to play the web version on my MacBook Pro in Safari doesn't work properly. None of the environment displays for some reason. It worked fine in Chrome though.

Nice game! The art was great, the movement felt pretty good and snappy. A few pieces of feedback though. The attack telegraphing needs a tiny bit more, especially at the begining. Have a few easier enemies that telegraph a little heavier, then start to get a little more precise as it goes on, just to help people get used to it. I don't mind difficult games, I tend to enjoy them when that is part of the point and the game is designed around it, but they need to feel fair. The parrying itself isn't bad once you get used to it, the problem is that the enemies just barely touching you especially when they aren't even attacking, or sometimes not even touching you, kill you. There is no grace period and the attacks don't fully match their hit boxes. If the enemies couldn't hurt me just by touching me then this would already work a bit better. Getting killed by a zombie because another zombie slightly pushed it one pixel closer to me doesn't feel very fun. haha

All that being said, the core of what you have here is really good and you should be proud of it. Nice work!

Warden of the Depths by Alex de la Cour 2026-04-26T15:42:32Z

@alex-de-la-cour Yeah, you’ve for sure got a gem here! And yeah I did see something similar in another game, I’m assuming it’s some sort of incompatibility with my version of Safari or something but idk for sure.

White Static by LianaAvk 2026-04-23T01:11:40Z

Really cool graphics, loved the art style and I could really see that becoming something. The overall mood was decent, I can tell there was a lot put into the story. I didn't really see any other game mechanics, so it's more of a visual novel, which is perfectly fine, and probably great for some.

Plug n' Play by mortusnegati 2026-05-06T15:24:33Z

Really cool idea. I loved how it all worked. It needs a few things to really make it special. Mainly it needs more variety in enemies and towers, and waves/length of course. How you create and connect the towers is really cool, but it would be great if there was some sort of upgrade system. This feels like it's supposed to be like connecting instruments and music equipment, which is a great idea, but to really sell that I think audio needs to be a big portion of the game. If there was a cool beat going on that improved depending on number and positioning of towers, on top of the rhythmic attacks the towers do, that would be awesome. And you could have different like pedals or synths or things that you plug into towers to upgrade them. Then you have to choice to chain the towers, or upgrade one, etc.

All in all, nice graphics, cool idea, what you have works well. It needs a bit more, though what it needs would be hard to really pull off during a jam. great job overall!

Do-roidhicky by Jacobloon 2026-04-22T03:56:15Z

This was rally cool. Super inventive and fun. Cool little seemingly simple puzzles made crazy with weird controls. Nice work!

ANALOG TUNE OVERRIDE by Arryos 2026-04-24T03:31:02Z

Really cool little game. I loved the different signals and their abilities. I would have liked a different option to switch signals other than scroll. Playing from my MacBook scrolling made it scroll to one direction and I could never get it to got the other way.

Beat the Signal by Fassenberg 2026-04-23T01:26:09Z

This game proves that you can make something fun with primitive shapes, a decent color pallet, nice music, and movement that feels nice. Very nice work! Very simple, but effectively executed.

Radioblet by Dwang 2026-04-23T15:32:18Z

Really cool fun little game. The main thing I would have liked is a simple tutorial explaining the base mechanics of the game. It's simple enough and easy to figure out, but a quick visual explanation would have been great. Nice work!

Drum`n`Ice by PepeBrante 2026-04-23T02:08:58Z

Nice work! I liked the idea a lot, the execution was a little lacking, but I can feel the intention was there. If it could be a little smoother with a bit more polish that would help a lot. The hard thing about rhythm games if you really need to be able to FEEL the game in yourself while playing it so you can react with the audio naturally. Nice job overall though!
