Incredible what you created in that short of a time. Deck builder games are so hard to balance and come up with in a fun and playable way.
Great work! Shield build op 🔥🔥
Really impressive to do such a complex game in this short time, the way the signal was brought into the game is genius
@bleys coming from a card game lover like you it's high praise, thanks :D
@fabelay yeah we weren't really sure about balance so we focused on having the systems and "we'll see about balance later", but it ended up pretty nice :smile:
@captainspoof Thanks ! There's enough building options to make choices interesting, we're pretty happy that multiple strategies can actually pay off :smile:
Connexion laggy I pressed the button too many times and don't know how to delete messages ._.
@ungew0llt Thanks for your praise, it means a lot :heart:
It doesn't understand why I should NOT get a new card, but the idea of two states of cards is interesting
@mrmastin you definitely should get new cards, but if you have too many, it lowers the chance of seeing them when you need them ! Thanks for testing our game
Any chance you can do a web build?
The concept looks fun and I’d love to try it
Great puzzle for a couple of minutes! Nice graphics and sounds. Special thanks to the artist!
The gameplay is simple, and it's clear what you need to do. I enjoyed it and took over the world, thank you!
There you go—no more civilizations to conquer! The mechanics are really cool; they work great. Well done!
Can't go wrong with a classic! I like the new take :smiley:
@penagwin I don't think we can, the project was built with Unreal :(
@udfblr Thanks for your warm comment :heart:
@pierre-marie glad you liked it :smile:
@echo-team we love deckbuilders :eyes: glad we could build one with an interesting twist
Very nice, reminds me of Slay the Spire (which I love), good job, thanks for the hard work :-)
edit: sorry I had connection issues & can't delete my duplicate message :'<
Super cool deckbuilder!
Switching between the two signal strength is really fun, and the cards are straightforward enough that there's no confusion between the strong and weak effects. I like that some cards are stronger in one signal type, and weaker in the other, that's super simple but it gives a lot of texture to it. Basically playing StS1 Watcher sort of feeling!
The "draw 2 but don't discard at end of turn" mechanic is sweet. It skews the game towards really valuing draw effects a little bit though, because if you run out of options you can just get murdered by variance/have a very hard time generating enough output.
I wish there was more content, which is a great thing to feel/think about a jam game. I'd play a fuller version!
The UI REALLY needs tooltips however, just to be more comfortable to navigate. (I was a little confused by a handful of icons/statuses - though not for long, it's easy enough to figure out.) Strategy is hard to do in a short timescale like this, and this has the right blend of known mechanics and very slight innovation in the margins. The "4 cards, add any amount" format is cute as well.
The game's balance felt pretty OK, especially for a jam game! It was fun to play twice, though I didn't see the difference between the classic and the challenge run. Bribery is really good, and also the only source of scaling, which is a funny sentence to type.
I don't know that I'd want to play many more times as is, because the game isn't difficult enough and the cards aren't different enough/don't offer that many different synergies to explore, but it's REALLY COOL for a jam game. You scoped it super well.
Very solid entry, I had a lot of fun!! Outstanding job!!!
Really cool! I'm impressed at what you managed to create. The art is nice, the animations work well, when I started I was thinking it was fun and only had a few cards, I thought it was going to end, then I got even more cards and could keep going! Way more than I expected out of a typical jam game. I can't speak on how well the balancing of everything works as I didn't play it super long, but I didn't notice any obvious issues. I also really like the signal integration of giving cards multiple actions depending on the signal.
Really nice job!
@kevin-meissner we love StS too :eyes: (at least I do :laughing:)
@fae-pdf Thanks for your great feedbacks, we'll see if we want to spend more time on it to polish it a bit more :smile:
@link270 Thanks ! Glad you had fun with it :smile:
Really nice game. I got 3 planet and got killed)
Very nice game! I know what i will recomend to my friend.
Damn, I missed the announcement of StS3, didn't even know it was releasing this week! Really fun game, I love how you incorporated signal into this by giving the cards two different effects.
@daliamha you were almost at the end! Thanks and congrats :clap:
@venomousmouse Thaaaaanks :heart:
@sariiger Seems I missed the announcement too :eyes: Glad you liked it :smile:
The core idea was really fun, to switch the card effect and trying to anticipate how to optimize each card. I was still really luck-dependent in my run (sometimes I have no way to return to signal up, and nothing toi attack the popularity) but it's still fun !
And awesome graphics!
Very creative design! The mechanic of signal switching and dual-signal cards not only fits the theme perfectly but also offers great strategic depth. The mechanic itself is easy to pick up and understand, yet crafting the perfect deck based on it requires deep strategic insight. It's a truly excellent mechanic design!

Very nice game, everything is polished, and the art and music fit, even if the audio is a bit repetitive and tiring after a while, congrats, it was really fun to play
@ribout-horace yes in the end it's still a card game so there's rng, thanks for playing :smile:
@z1116730 Thanks :pray: :heart:
@egrassah we wish we had more time to polish it even more haha. Thanks for playing :smile:
Really nice idea - like the double-side of the signal mechanic itself, and imagine there are quite a few strategies that work. Music was decent and the art was good.
@fadingdreamstories thanks for testing :smile:
It's a super complete game for a jam. I really like the attention to details like the rollover tips on every item. I usually have a hard time getting into deckbuilder game but you manage to make the onboarding as smooth as possible. And given the time limit, you manage to make quite some cards already, maybe not enough so that consecutive runs don't feel repetitive, but again it's only 72h. Congrats also on the aesthetics and the sound, it compliments the game perfectly and gives a chill scifi mood.
@rend thanks :pray:
I've been pretty addicted to card games recently and to find a submission like yours is great! I've played it once so I can rate you but I'm sure to play more also to learn a bit more about mechanics. Cool art and a very fun idea! Congratulations!
I like the playing field. The planet, your own ship and the UI is well sorted. The red/green signal mechanic is very interesting.
Having more animations and explanations what the enemy will do would make the game even more polished, but I played the JAM-release and 1.1 and I see that you already put stuff in it, like the planet attack animation, which is very nice. :)
I like your little tutorial in the beginning, which helped understanding the game. As already mentioned by someone above me, the mood is really good.
@andruid Glad you liked it :smile: I don't think there's a high replayability but maybe some if you want to test out all of the cards you might have some playtime ahead of you :eyes:
@lllarso I was about to say that we did improved it after release in 1.1, but you also tested it, so thanks for your time and your feedbacks :smile:
