Simple but a lot of fun, I like the semi realtime semi turn based combat, you get a bit of strategy but also some nice tension. A bit lacking in audio but the graphics were nice.

simple but fun! keep it up!

I loved this! I couldn't click fast enough. Would have made a world of difference to have keyboard controls of some kind.

Very cool, I liked the idea a lot. With a little refinement I could see this being a legit game out there. Great job!

Good head for design and iteration here- the turn angle was a fun idea. Simple thought for an improvement- have a difficulty selector that slows your enemies down for an easier, more thoughtful play- otherwise really well done! The simple aesthetic was a lot of fun ^^

Thanks for making the game! It has a very interesting idea and it reminds me of old Final Fantasy games. The gameplay is fun but it can get pretty chaotic at times, but I think that's a good point to have. I think this game will work really well on mobile devices with touch screens because you can select a character quicker without having to move a cursor (I'm not a big fan of selecting things with cursor on fast paced games). Overall very good!

Fantastic work! I could see this expanding to a full game!

This is great! I love this semi-realtime micro-tactics idea, really cool. You should keep going with this. I really wanted to have key bindings to quickly select moves/attacks when able. The art gave me strong zelda vibes :)

The gameplay was fun, it reminded me of chess but with abilities. I liked the dynamic duo of the knight and the philosopher. Having to click on the character and then moving your mouse to click the ability and then moving your mouse again to target was a bit frustrating sometimes. It's not a big deal, but maybe using number hotkeys to select your ability after you click so that you don't need to move your mouse down after clicking on your character. Overall it was a fun idea!

Love it! I wanna see more awesome grid games like this

Fun and nostalgic. Some 8-bit background music would have made it even better

This is a delightful little puzzle game with rpg trappings. I really like the time/tactics balance, and I appreciate the framing story--it really motivates me to keep going.

I wish the game paused while I'm taking an action--frantically going through the menu is a little stressful.

I feel similarly to a lot of other commenters--I'd love to see an expanded game.

Love tactics games like this, great job with the game!

I liked this game a lot. I really enjoyed the mix of strategy you had to use for each individual area when the characters changed and amount of enemies showed up. I think it would be nice if you could click on the character and move and attack without having to choose the other buttons below.

Gets hard real quick. Definitely fun. It would be great with some keyboard shortcuts. Well done.

skoobydoo 2021-04-29 22:27

Audio is nothing special, and I would love hotkeys to help quick tense moments, but overall this is a great prototype and I'd be happy to play more!

Had a lot of fun playing this game, well done! Last level was difficult but not in a bad way. It's a good take on real time ttrgp. :ok_hand:

Hey! Last level was really hard!! Very nice game! I like the graphics, especially the knight character. Those dialogues are funny and cool but it would be nice to have an option to speed em up little bit (by clicking them through). Besides this, Great job!

Great entry! The simple choice of graphics was really on point. I also like how it is semi-turn-based game - really had to think quickly at some points. For me personally it was just the right amount of difficulty.
