Wow that's unique, I love it ! It a very good balance between wonky physics and gameplay that can actually be mastered, well done ! And the graphics are really cool, 1bit is hard and you nailed it !

Incredible job considering this your first time doing not only a game jam but game development in general!
Very cool artstyle, nice sound effects and cool music. The game was incredibly difficult. I think it took me about 7 tries to defeat the enemy. It felt good to finally do it, but I still feel the difficulty curve could have been adjusted a bit. I think one time I managed to smith like 5 correct weapons and still lost. I also think that when I won the game just ended when I defeated the enemy, I was kind of expecting there to be another monster after the first one. If there were more enemies I would recommend making the initial monster very easy and increasing the enemy health with each enemy, that way it would also fit the theme better. I also think it could be cool if even incorrectly combined weapons could deal damage, just way less than the correctly made weapons.
Sorry for the nitpicking and random "advice" nobody asked for, the game really great :). Again, great job making such a complete game!
Nice first entry. Some good things going on here but it was rather difficult to control (for me anyway). It is an very cool idea though and the art is exceptional. Nice job
Really cool game, solid graphics and neat style! The wriggly arm is hard to control, sometimes feels a bit daunting when you know you already added the wrong piece for the soldier. Maybe give an option to clear the anvil? Also keep showing what the knight needs as a reminder would be good for feedback.
I really liked the arts and music, it was a little difficult to control the character at first 😅, but it worked after a few tries. The idea was really cool and the dynamics of the blacksmith reminded me of JackSmith. Great job.
What a cool take on the theme and what a neat way to play. I had a lot of trouble controlling the smith at first but I got the rhythm down better as time went on. I wish the requested weapon would remain on the screen somewhere as I cycled through all the pieces trying to find the right combination. I like how you could create weapons of any style.
Great work!
This really is the perfect game for this jam! I'm pleasantly surprised! I honestly have no criticism or recommendations. 5/5 all around.
Hello and greetings from the land of reasonably-sized monitors and laptop screens! Please note that a good **[24% of users](https://gs.statcounter.com/screen-resolution-stats/desktop/worldwide) worldwide** have a vertical resolution of 768 or less, making your game window too large to fit on screen at once.
That aside, this was pretty hilarious. I was honestly surprised at how much better I got at the game on the second go-around once I sort of got the hand of where the components needed to be released in order to actually make it onto the anvil.
Really liked the graphics and the mood. The gameplay was funny but a bit repetetitiv imho. Good work overall!
Really cool idea for the game, art and music were awesome and loved the idea. However the controls and the arm just didn't seem to work very well. Unless I was missing something completely I was only able to craft one weapon, it was super difficult to get any of the blades onto the anvil, it just never seemed to be able to reach.
Great concept and very infuriating!!! I only managed to make 1 weapon ToT I love your music and art style. Good luck getting 20 reviews, this deserves it! :)
Screenshot (31).png I did it!
Tips for those who are stuck: **SPOILERS** > The hitbox check is delayed by like half a second, release such that your hand will be in the right spot in like half a second. Also, for me, just doing a lot of wrong ones was quicker/more effective than trying to do the right one. Also a windmill motion seemed to help me build junk weapons quick.
The hitbox wonkyness could use improvement, and also the win screen could be more clear and say "you win" or something above it.
I liked the idea and the art though. Good job!
