Great art and design, its just not very fun. I got frustrated very quickly.
Very cool visuals and feel. Kind reminded me of old school home alone game start where You run from the web bandits!
Nice game. I realy liked the explanations on how to play inside the game (for E and jump) Pretty cool animation at the begining. Congrats !
The most important thing for an endless runner is some metric of score. There's no indication of how well you are doing, or any way to share a highscore / record. It's also worth mentioning the difficulty. In the few minutes (and dozens of runs) I spent playing, I was only ever able to jump the first locker a single time. It's way too hard. I like the idea, but it's a bit rough around the edges.
A good runner in an interesting setting. There is not enough score, and there are also a couple of bugs.
Neat game but I can't see how well I'm doing and the camera is way too zoomed in.
First off, I think this game is very interesting. It has a lot going for it, and a lot done right. The visual control aids are a life saver, they give the visuals a little pop, and also teach you the controls. Obviously per the other comments, I think the game could greatly be aided by creating a little less step of a learning curve. I could see a few things that could be done to help with the difficulty. Some options could be -Zoom out so you could see further ahead -I think adding some sort of audio queue to help indicate when the appropriate time to jump is would be beneficial -I think you could be a little more generous with the hit boxes.
Right now, it feels like the game is killing you, If you made the hitboxes a little smaller, even if the game seems too easy, At some point, the player will mess up, and they will know it was their own fault.
All in all, I actually enjoyed playing the game despite it taking many attempts to get past the first, second and third obstacles.
Great visuals and concept. But it is hard to play especially jumping over. I like the game, good job.
This is a good foundation for an endless runner - I really got into the flow of things after spending many attempts nailing down the timings (you gotta drop the locker when you're on it so it doesn't hit *you*). Stacking backpacks on lockers is dirty. And then the dude just kind of caught up with me. I executed perfectly and then the principal decided to stop holding back and became sanic hedgedog. Inevitable indeed. Also, the music is very somber, which seems unfitting for the scenario. Something either frantic or comic would do a much better job of setting the mood. Setting this scenario at an art school got a smile out of me, though.
A nice take on endless runners. As others have said, it is very hard to jump over even the first obstacle. Some kind of score would be great as well. Still, you should be proud of finishing something for your first game jam!
It is an interesting game. I wish the constrain was not so large. I end up hit the locker because of how large it is. I like the 2d pixel art. The audio was ok. It could have added some SFX when pushing over the lockers. Good job on your attempt of the game.
Pretty decent little game. I wish the controls were a little bit tighter and the obstacles were more forgiving. I seemed to die for no reason a few times.
It was a bit tricky to figure out how to play at the start, but got better as I played a bit more. I went for a while but seemed to get a bit repetitive after a bit.
