LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Appeasing The Board by Parker8283 2022-04-11T04:12:22Z

I really enjoy these types of games, this one included. I am torn on a suggestion.. On one hand, the ability to see how the numbers impact you ahead of time and adjust accordingly is what makes this game a little more original. However, at the same time, it also makes it almost so the text doesn't matter. I think having a vague indicator of what stats are affected instead of telling you the exact numbers, would make you have to actually read the flavor text for each question. As it stands right now, it's just a numbers game but, now that I write that, I guess that is how business works anyway.

All in all, I enjoyed the game. Great Job.

The Lost Daughter by Lpax 2022-04-16T06:03:56Z

RPG maker was the engine that I made my first games in back when I was in high school. I loved the atmosphere and the background story seemed fitting for an RPG title. I do think having some simple battles up front would be good to give players an easy sense of accomplishment and introduce players to how combat works (if they have been hiding under a rock). I like the take of talking to people and gaining items to gain strength rather than just grinding battles like an average RPG game. All in all, this was an enjoyable play.

Down with the Ship! by Yellowscope 2022-04-09T18:35:01Z

I did some research on the issue above. It turns out that was an issue with the web_gl build in the version of unity I was using. I have gone ahead and re-built the game un the latest official unity build which should fix the issue. I also made a windows build while I was at it. just for fun. Thank you for letting me know of your issues.

Thanks everyone for their input so far, this has made my first jam experience very pleasant. I will keep the improvement suggestions in mind as they are all very good points.

I did however push out another small patch just fixing the Crew Counting bug that was pointed out.

I had a lot of fun playing this game. The music was fitting with the fast beat to heighten the sense of urgency. I keep finding myself trying again to give different strategies a try. I think this game gave a good amount of challenge paired with the sense that it always seems like it would have been possible for me to make it further.

The one thing that felt off to me was the player movement. I feel like if each resource can only occupy a single tile, and the fire can only occupy a single tile. I expected the player to only move in whole tile increments. Most of my deaths were caused because I wasn't quite precise enough and a little bit of my head was sticking in to a tile it shouldn't have been but, maybe that just because I am bad at games.

Thanks for this game it was a ton of fun... I think I might play it between 1 and 10 more times before I move on to another game.

School Grade by Charles IdB 2022-04-11T03:26:23Z

First off, I think this game is very interesting. It has a lot going for it, and a lot done right. The visual control aids are a life saver, they give the visuals a little pop, and also teach you the controls. Obviously per the other comments, I think the game could greatly be aided by creating a little less step of a learning curve. I could see a few things that could be done to help with the difficulty. Some options could be -Zoom out so you could see further ahead -I think adding some sort of audio queue to help indicate when the appropriate time to jump is would be beneficial -I think you could be a little more generous with the hit boxes.

Right now, it feels like the game is killing you, If you made the hitboxes a little smaller, even if the game seems too easy, At some point, the player will mess up, and they will know it was their own fault.

All in all, I actually enjoyed playing the game despite it taking many attempts to get past the first, second and third obstacles.

Blitz : invasion by musaspacecadet 2022-04-16T06:09:01Z

Nice work, I actually really enjoyed this game. I actually considered this kind of virtual tunnel perspective for my game as well, but went a different route. I enjoyed the graphic styling in this. Really my biggest complaint on it would be that the text is a little small for the font. It makes it a little hard on the eyes. Great Job!

Letter Collector by lunarDust 2025-10-18T16:15:09Z

I really enjoyed this game. Collecting the letters from the defeated enemy names was actually pretty clever. Great job. I had fun. I would definitely play more of this if there was more to play.

This was a very cozy game. The monsters were charming.

Moderately Exciting Tax Collecting by HaaYaargh 2025-10-18T15:17:44Z

Great job, I like the art style, and the premise is great. The driving controls could use a little work, but it also seems like the slightly frustrating controls are part of the experience. adding some explosions or damage as you drive around would give players a reward every time the controls failed them. Great job, I had fun.
