Pretty game, impressive entry overall. The art is perfect! I like how the goofyness of the designs matchs with the sober UI. Good job!
The art style is cute and the robot is kind of like the Biped two. But I don't know why I can't build a repair center, and it's confusing to me.
@moonblast to build a repair center, make a couple of robots and keep them alive for a bit to make enough money, then when the repair center icon turns blue, click on it, then click on any of the grid spaces. You will know you can build when you see the highlight of the building when hovering over the grid spaces after clicking the button. That is one thing we hope to fix, is better feedback with the buttons so you know it’s currently selected.
Love the visuals and you made good use of the theme! I couldn't figure out building on my own, but after seeing your comment I gave it another go. I had fun and managed to get a pretty decent score this time - congrats on a great submission !
It's always fun to see a nicely executed 3D game in a 72 hour jam! The visuals and UI were very clean. I enjoyed the decision making of adding more bots while knowing I had to maintain them every 10 seconds, ultimately trying to create a chaotic but manageable robot army. Nice work!
Wow, what a polished entry!
I feel like it was intentional, the int overflow after the ultimate robot. Was very satisfying to see my resources go negative XD
My only issue was that the crates with new bots falling often got in the way of manually derusting my bots... then again, if there are so many bots that the crates are getting in the way, it's not that big of a deal, is it?
I love a good snowball effect building game like this, and the art is absolutely gorgeous. Kudos!
@labtoast I'm way glad you liked it! We love these types of games too, so it was a blast to make! The overflow was intentional haha We thought it would be a good reward to get the ultimate robot and have him just go crazy! So he squares each of your currencies every ten seconds and overflows the values super quick, along with spawning a bunch of free robots haha We thought about making it an infinity symbol instead of negative, but thought we would keep it at least for the jam entry. (That and I ran out of time/forgot about it haha) Thanks for playing!!!
The models and the sounds are great! I love the sound clicking on a robot makes.
I didn't like how crates would get stuck on top of existing robots... but that serves me right for using an autoclicker :P LudumDare51-Win64-Shipping_OKxjrJcuQh.jpg
The ultimate robot put me very much in debt (overflowed all the numbers haha)
I wish once you selected a building you could place multiple of that building without having to select it again.
I love the little robots!
asd.png Really nice entry, played it to the end and enjoyed my time! Constructive criticism: Sometimes I could not tell the robots apart, because their only difference was eye color (I think), so different models for different robots would have been really cool! Otherwise, love it.
@eidovolta Thanks! and thanks for the feedback. They have a little bit different color on them, but the overall model is the same, so yeah maybe a slightly different design per bot would help a bit. Glad you liked it!!
Pretty nice tycoon style game, and the art made it quite nice to look at. Great job!
@eidovolta great suggestion! Maybe we make each version a larger version with some adjustments and they move slower or something. That could be fun
What a phenomenal entry! This really felt like a complete (albeit short) product. I love how you integrated every game mechanic into theme. The graphics were lovely and polished, there was a great amount of building variety, and it felt like all the pieces here fit together perfectly. My only complaints are that the tutorial dragged on a bit too long and I feel like there could be more sound effects - ambient robot noises maybe? Awesome job!
@dxk2294 thanks I’m glad you liked it!! The tutorial does need some work. We had to put that together super quick so we just did some images and whatnot but we want to make it a little better and put it into the game more so at some point.
I am honestly surprised we did as many sound effects as we did haha I hurriedly grabbed my phone and ran to my garage to record a bunch of random sounds when I took a break. I’ll have to do some more at some point for sure! Good feedback, thanks!
Interesting game. But it starts on me with error D3D12. Just in case try to set less graphics =) Research tree is simple, but good making. If i create game with tree like this, i'll use classic HUD window. But you open my eyes on this, thx)
It looks very nice ! good job :)
Impressive indeed! 3d anim and uI are nicely polished. The gameplay becomes a bit redundant, but it's complicated to do equilibrium properly in a gamejam. Wish you had some kind of placeholders for the buildings and the possibility to build more than one. Good entry overall :D
That was a really cool game! My hand got tired after a bit, so I had to stop, haha.
Probably most fun i had playing out of all jam games, great clicker game! Unfortunately I couldn't finish it because of the bug at the end. Even though I had enough money I couldn't buy the ultimate robot, so i didn't end up seeing him :(

I was excited when you posted a message that a Mac version was up. But alas it seems really buggy to me, played 4 or 5 times and couldn't make anything other than a single repair centre. I always ended up with no silicon and no robots and no real idea how I could progress further despite reading the tutorial twice in case I missed something.
It's a real shame as the game looks really great the the concept is really nice too!
I'm playing the Mac version on an M1 MBP in case that makes a difference, but UI elements keep not working properly and there was lots of lag at times.
@kaech Unless we changed it just prior to release and I'm forgetting, the ultimate robot costs the currencies listed, as well as one of each building in the tree. If you also had one of each building, that's a bug we'd have to look into further.
@pete-thorne Robots make you silicon, if you build a repair center that consumes all of your silicon and robots, you'll be locked out and unable to make any more silicon. So you kind of have to make sure you make enough money that you're able to replenish your robot supply before you go all-in on buildings. But if for some reason the Mac build wasn't generating currencies correctly, that's also something we'd have to look into further... we'll also see if we can check into the UI elements being all funky, and the lag. Just have to find someone we know with a Mac at this point haha.
@1minatur Sorry, image didn't load up: https://i.imgur.com/qQtj1zA_d.webp?maxwidth=760&fidelity=grand
I had all of the buildings placed
@pete-thorne Im sorry you didn’t have a great experience on Mac. It seemed to work fine for me on my M1 Pro MacBook Pro, though I didn’t play it for super long. It could be as @1minatur said and you build the repair centers before you were able to generate enough silicon. If you try again build a bunch of robots and build up a little currency first. Though it is possible it’s just struggling on Mac.
@kaech oh that is weird. It seems to just be outing random things in the requirements. It requires 180,000 silicon and the other numbers are for gold and diamond, but I’m sorry it was being so strange for you.I hope you enjoyed what you were able to play! I’ll have to look into that big some more as I haven’t seen it happen to anyone else yet. Thanks for letting us know!
Mac version seems to run fine. Graphics and music are great, but the game is overly complicated for a jam. Jammers typically spend a couple minutes on each game so that they can play and rate as many as possible. The best jam games are ones that require little to no tutorial. My personal mindset is to develop it like an old coin-op arcade game: super-easy to learn, super-quick to the action.
Wow! I really enjoyed playing this game :) I am looking forward to future updates  :eyes:
wow the art style and the robots are really good and the clicking sounds were satisfying to me. overall really good game I could see this being a fully fledge game goo job guys.
I really like these incremental type games! I got to the end and IMMEDIATELY had an integer overflow. It was great. I found the progression a bit slow, particularly for a jam game. It also kind of demanded a lot of attention with the rust, so just letting it run on its own isn't really something that feels good to do. I really liked the choice in upgrades. You could fully build our a tier or push forward, to a point. That felt nice. The art was really nice, I liked the simple cel-shaded 3D!
Robot.jpg
really cool Game!
I got the final robot and it did not take long for my resources to overflow.
The only slight negative I have, is that the clicking got annoying at some point, a click hold and brush would have felt nicer I think.
Nice cute art, pretty fun gameplay, even if it isn't too deep. It would be nice if there was some reason to place your buildings in specific locations instead of just dumping them everywhere. Also, towards the end I ran into a bug where the required resources for the ultimate robot kept changing names - it told me I needed tens of thousands of MK2 repair stations to build it.
@cogent-invalid thanks for the feedback. Making building placement matter is something we want to add for future versions for sure, that would really add quite a bit more depth to the strategy of the game. That bug is really weird and I never saw happen for myself, but I’ve seen it happen to others while Al watching them play, of course I didn’t see it until recently so I won’t be able to fix it during the jam, but I do want to go in and get it fixed, along with a few other bugs, for future versions. Thanks for bringing it up! And glad you enjoyed it, thanks for playing!
well i`ll resume playing rather then commenting here :)
Good game!!
Nice game, well polished. Kudos for a detailed in-game tutorial. There is not enough contrast between buildable and non-buildable icons making it easy to miss I could build something.
Managing resourses is pretty fun here, i liked the fact that you destroy buildings and robots as a cost for other buildings turning them into a curensy as well. Some extra maintenence of resorses felt fresh and interesting. The visual sile lookse very pleasant and cute. The sound feels nice, especially every 10 seconds, when all you bots earn the currency. I enjoied it a lot. Good job.
A lot of fun, though I do think having to clean the bots every 10 seconds got in the way of understanding where to go in the progression. Also, it was a bit weird that brand new bots needed to be cleaned.
This is a complete game. When I first saw it I was very surprised that it was made for jam. Well done to all the developers, this is a real game
Surprisingly polished.
When I first saw this game I knew I had to try it because I love "tycoon" games (and the cute robots). Had a lot of fun (and stress) keeping up with my robots and getting all of the upgrades, some of the text here and there was a little weird (I think the last robot has the wrong text for the resources) But overall a really good experience, and super polished for the jam time!
@miche Thanks for playing!! We love these types of games too and it was a blast to make one! The resources for the ultimate robot have some weird bug going on that I need to figure out at some point. I didn't even realize it was happening until someone made a comment on here. Thanks for playing!
Fun to see an incremental game. It's satisfying to progress through, and I like how many things cost previous buildings. I really loved the idea of making an "idle" game where everything happens on each 10 second tick. I've played some other games this jam that have "you have to maintain things every 10 seconds", but here it works because the difficulty of maintenance is directly proportional to your greed and you have other stuff you want to be accomplishing with your life instead of just maintaining everything each 10 sec. I like having to balance the robots being overwhelming and wanting lots of resources. The final robot is fun. I love that feeling of invalidating everything else. Although it doesn't actually work because you overflow the resources very quickly, meaning you can't build anything anymore.
I liked how there were different effects from the buildings, it avoids just making numbers go up, but it still wasn't enough to feel like I was making strategic decisions {especially once I had a fair amount of resources/infrastructure}
Graphics were very nice. Shoutout to the highly readable rust effects.
A very polished game, well done!
damn, the game is long pretty, sounds good, very good game, however is it normal that after the ultimate robot i have minus 2 billion resources ? x))))
unknown.png
@enderswype haha yeah it is on purpose. Or rather, we square your resources every 10 seconds with the ultimate robot, so it causes and isn’t overflow pretty quick, and we decided it would be fun to just leave it that way for the jam at least. Glad you enjoyed it!!
Woah I was expecting a rts of sorts from the screenshots but this was awesome and adorable! The tech tree was very well done in its simplicity and the repetition of the upgrades allowed me to get into a flow after playing a bit.
The graphics was amazing, gameplay was great, and the sound/music was on point. All around awesome game :D
Here's some things I think could be improved if you guys planned on working on this more: -Sometimes bots goes behind UI and hard to see/click -Last upgrade was showing the wrong requirements -Color coding resource icons could make top right panel and upgrade requirements quicker to parse -Esc to resume from pause menu -highlight the build area or show a red ghost preview of the building on tiles you can't build on (the first time I tried building something, I kept clicking the button because it seemed like it wasn't doing anything) -Background was a little too bright I think but maybe that's just my tired 4 AM eyes talking -It was hard to tell which robo the rust particles were coming from when there when they were near each other. Maybe an additional highlighting effect could single them out more -I didn't even notice this one until I looked at my screenshot at the end, but the tech bar isn't centered for ultrawide monitor (21:9) -Probs same issue, but the tutorial images were stretched for me too -I read the tutorial but none of it stuck with me. Having it show tutorial as you play I think would be better, but it's great that you got a tutorial in there for jam!
Sorry I wasn't able to make it in time to rate, I had a lot of fun playing this! BotsBotsBots.jpg
@itsboats hey itsboats!! Thanks for playing the game! We are slowly trying to get closer to your caliber of game! Haha
Thanks so much for the feedback! Some of the bugs we’ve seen and need to fix for sure. Adding color coding is something @tanner-shelton is really wanting to add for a next version along with more detail and colors to buildings. I can’t believe I didn’t add an escape to leave the pause menu… I explicitly remember thinking ti do that during development haha I can’t remember if the ui not being centered was intentional, or if it was just something we weren’t able to get fixed in time. @tanner-shelton ? (None of us have ultrawides though, so it may just be an issue there, thanks for bringing it up!) the tutorial we totally agree needs some extra work. It was literally tacked on so quickly at the end we didn’t even get to think about it, so it needs a bit of a rework.
I’m glad you liked it! We had a blast making it and I am super proud of it! Thanks for the feedback, it helps a ton! Can’t wait to see you in future Jams haha good luck with results!
