LD51 — Every 10 seconds

Gigabite by CocaPasteque 2022-10-07T00:27:01Z

I appreciated that the parts I needed to find always seemed to be on the belt - I could see how this type of game could have easily not accounted for that which would have made for a frustrating experience. The UI was nice and large and clear - my only criticism would be to have some different colors for limbs because the arm and leg started looking very similar when there were more items required to feed the monster. Fun game!

I really liked the aesthetic of this game, it was very pleasing and cohesive. To me it felt like a Vampire Survivors clone but everything was a little too sluggish and unresponsive. Additionally, it was a little unclear how the Oxygen system worked in terms of losing and gaining it.

[X-ED OUT] by Nash 2022-10-06T19:26:58Z

This is a really addicting game, I enjoyed the aspect of hopping out of the turret to collect the coins! My only criticism is that the guy by himself is too slow, so the playstyle punishes you for killing enemies too quickly. The best strategy is ultimately to wait for enemies to reach you, but they move so slowly that once you've upgraded a few times, you end up with a lot of down time if you want any hope of collecting enough coins to upgrade. All in all, I think this could be tweaked slightly to be an even more addictive time waster - nice work!

Hypersomnia Mania by RosyMaple 2022-10-06T19:10:04Z

This was a pretty ambitious idea to implement several different games inside the main game, but I enjoyed the effort! The spelling mistakes and crude paint art thematically made this feel like a weird fever dream (in a good way!) that was pretty fun. All it was missing was some uneasy music and this would have been a pretty cool presentation. Nice work.

Curse Mountain by rpgfaker 2022-10-04T03:11:43Z

There's an interesting idea that could be explored further in this game, but I do think that having to wait around for the transformation to happen does get frustrating. I liked how the enemies doubled as puzzle elements, but I do wish there was some way to fight back against them or at least defend yourself from their attacks so you don't just feel helpless while they kill you. That being said, I enjoyed the atmosphere and pixel art.

Chaos Exam by Moekiru 2022-10-06T19:15:31Z

Pretty challenging, especially because you can't clearly see how much time you have left. I would suggest making the main UI front and center so you can always view the timer and make your decisions based on that. Otherwise, you could give an audio or visual cue that the teacher is about to turn around.

I get excited whenever your team submits a jam game, and this just happens to be the first one I also participated in! I really enjoyed your interpretation of the theme and the art as always is absolutely top notch. You have the game creation process seemingly down to a science, including added so much juicy gamefeel like the squishy blocks and crumbling particle effects. Even though this game has its balancing issues, it's truly amazing how you were able to cram in so many unique abilities for the different enemies, as well as animations, new blocks, etc. All in all, this was a fantastic entry, and I can't wait for your next one!

Bots, Bots, Bots by Link270 2022-10-05T03:20:29Z

It's always fun to see a nicely executed 3D game in a 72 hour jam! The visuals and UI were very clean. I enjoyed the decision making of adding more bots while knowing I had to maintain them every 10 seconds, ultimately trying to create a chaotic but manageable robot army. Nice work!

Really enjoyed the atmosphere and I agree with other posters that it was a bit difficult to understand what items were needed and in what order. I think some feedback with sound effects or some indicators would go a long way to making it more obvious - at least at the beginning. I enjoyed my time with it regardless!

Countdown Crusaders by Slothzilla Games 2022-10-04T03:22:37Z

I enjoyed the risk/reward choices involved in the roguelike mechanics. After a while, it became tough to track the benefits of certain choices once I had a number of cards stacked up, so eventually I was guessing at what would be the least detrimental to the game rather than giving me the most benefit. Perhaps if there were different cards that would appear after a certain amount of choices have been made, you could scale up the power and add some additional interest once the first round of cards have cycled through. All in all, I enjoyed the art style and the experience overall!

Natural Snek-lection! by Falk Hoeppner 2022-10-04T03:02:50Z

This was an entertaining game with a nice cohesive visual style that tied it all together. Admittedly, I wasn't quite sure what my "goal" was, but I enjoyed "interacting" with the other sneks and seeing what result I would get , fun game!

Apocalypse Farmer by Rezioz 2022-10-07T00:35:48Z

I enjoyed the artwork - the monster designs were very interesting, especially the nightmare cow (combined with the sound effects). I think the camera could have been pulled out a bit further to give the player more of a chance to see the enemies and react accordingly.

Out To Pasture! by RaspbarryGames 2022-10-07T00:30:59Z

The sheep were a bit hard to control but I enjoyed the atmosphere and the characters. Fun little game.
