we love team bugulon !!! badass game
i dare team brugulon to make a game where you play as a dog and make it as epic as this
A really polished game as always from this team !
This game was phenomenal. Loved every second of it. Good job guys
Wow, really nice graphics! I enjoyed it very much well done!
nice game!(plz check out our game too!)
When you need to save the world, but your only tool is bubble sort :joy:
This game is astonishing. Pretty polished, good balanced and amazing art. One of my favorites so far. Well done! :)
Great game! As a big fan of Tetris Attack/Puzzle League/Panel de Pon, this hits a sweet spot for me. The art's phenomenal, the soundtrack is solid, and it strikes a good balance between being reminiscent of Tetris Attack and introducing new mechanics while also sticking very strongly to the theme!
My only negative feedback is, as many stated over on Itch, some of the earlier fights can be beaten optimally by just spamming swap. In my experience though, some of the later fights forced me to think strategically, setting up matches to actually use on later turns. It was good fun!
Fantastic job. Can't believe you did this so quickly! The only feedback I had was for the tutorial- I got so into swapping things, I didn't realize there was more to it! I spent a good few minutes just swapping wood purple and orange tiles that I didn't get to the combat for a while haha
So well done! Actually in disbelief what all of you managed to do in such a small time frame, classic team bugulon , it's very fun! the only negative thing i have to say is that you can get out of most jams by spam switching due to the low number of tiles, but even then the skills that the bosses use prevent that in the later fights, so good!!
This feels like a full release game. Congrats to the entire team. I had great fun playing it!
I really like this kind of block puzzles game, and this is one well done. I didn't play the entire campaign but I really enjoyed the parts I did.
Really good. Sound effects could be improved. The non-"action" tiles are a little hard to differentiate.
In the full release, it would be cool to be able to rack up extra seconds somehow.
Great game and very beautiful. The art and music are really amazing. I like the clever twist and matching three
What a lovely implementation. The art is so nice and the music matches well in I get some nice SNES vibes with this game.
Fantastic art direction, juicy mechanics and sound. One of my faves so far.
Very fun! Awesome art and really fun basic mechanic. Controlling with mouse would be nice, my fingers are sore. Great Game!
That's a freaking good and polished game! You guys totally nailed it! I just think it's a bit sad to have all these amazing art on the screen but I can't look at them because I have to concentrate on the left side.
awesome, i really loved the concept :O
Love the artwork and music! it was a little hard to do any sort of planning based on the incoming attacks. Seemed like I was just trying to get any match 3. Overall good take on the theme, and a really impressive level of polish and content!
PS: this game reminds me a little of "Pick Pack Pup" on the Playdate
Wow! Looks really good! Can't wait to play it!.
This game is a ton of fun and the polish is really impressive for the amount of time you had to work on it for the jam. I think the battle mechanics are really cool, especially how they can alter the play field with the tiles. The only criticism I have is that it can be a little difficult to pay attention to the battle screen and timer at the bottom since I'm focusing on the tiles.
Art is great, music/mood is great. I have to say I had a hard time watching the attacking on the right while focusing on the tile matching. I was wildly just matching stuff as much as I could until I died. Missed most of the action. I will give it a few more runs though. EDIT: Doing better now :-)
just blown away by the art and also the grenade
but actually, what an amazing game. Hard to even put into words
Really unique use of the theme! Superb gamedesign and art!
What an amazing game! This game is beautiful and really well polished! I had a lot of fun playing it!
Cool puzzle RPG! Having played Pico de Pon some time ago was worth it to progress here
Wow, this game looks like a steam game (or google play). Really well done and pretty fun, but it's hard to watch everywhere. I couldn't read the tutorial because I was watching blocks, and it was the same when I was fighting. Anyway, nice work
Such a polished fun experience!
Lovely! Wouldn't mind playing this on my mobile in the future.
Amazing, cute, fun little game!
Great game! The art looks amazing! I loved the music, sets the mood right. Engaging gameplay as well and i can see how much thought you put behind it.
Great take on the theme! The art is amazing, the mechanics are well thought.
I found it a bit hard at the beginning to grasp the swapping and the combos and couldn't make them as fast as I wanted to, but eventually I got a bit better with practice ^^.
10 seconds is a really short window and this game exploits that very well. The difficulty curve gets interesting after a few levels which is great too.
Solid entry, very polished! Thanks for making this!
Very solid and polished entry, as usual from Team Bugulon! The game really reminded me of a game I used to LOVE in the past, 10000000, as in, match 3 to use attacks/do things etc, but then as I went on through the explanations I found out how much depth it has. I love the gameplay, I love the different enemy abilities, I love the setup with the timer where you can see how much damage you need to deal to break through shields etc. Top-notch graphics, audio, and whatnot. Seriously great entry, thank you!
Nice to see another puzzler :). Love the little details like how the tutorial messages seem to come in at just the right time! Beautiful art too!
Really good game! Lovely graphics
A casual game ! to much easy at the beginning but passed a good time, thank you !
Awesome game! Super polished! hard to believe this was done in 72 hours! :D
Definitely one of my favorites in the jam. Everything is pretty well balanced and all the bosses having different attack patterns is great. Music and art were both phenomenal. Near the start of my playthrough there was a bit too much going on at once so I tended to focus solely on matching things and hoping it worked but as I went though and that didn't work anymore I definitely paid more and more attention to the enemies attacks and it was pretty manageable to swap between what to look at.
The swapping blocks mechanic seemed extremely simple at the start but ended up created a ton of depth which was really nice. Since it only worked to switch side to side it forces you to think more about your moves to get some big lines built up vertically (as opposed to random spam) which ended up being fun to plan out
Managed to defeat the final boss after somewhere around 10 tries. Congrats on making the game and hope it does well!

For such a simple concept and theme, it's incredibly deep, strategic and fun! I liked how each enemy has a different pattern to figure out and there's a lot to think about while many things to balance like the 10s timer and the rising blocks.
It's also really really well polished! The art, music, gameplay, and overall feel of the game all are great and complement each other really well.
I don't have much else to say other than it's a great game :)
Nice, a very cleanly executed, polished game. Pretty pixel art (with unique enemies), nice music. Worlds 1 and 2 felt quite easy: I didn't feel there was much strategy involved other than match as many blocks as possible. Stage 3-2 felt like a very sudden jump in difficulty.
Another thing to improve would maybe be the tutorial: it might have been nicer to force the player to acknowledge what is going on rather than just go with the timer as usual.
I get excited whenever your team submits a jam game, and this just happens to be the first one I also participated in! I really enjoyed your interpretation of the theme and the art as always is absolutely top notch. You have the game creation process seemingly down to a science, including added so much juicy gamefeel like the squishy blocks and crumbling particle effects. Even though this game has its balancing issues, it's truly amazing how you were able to cram in so many unique abilities for the different enemies, as well as animations, new blocks, etc. All in all, this was a fantastic entry, and I can't wait for your next one!
At one point, I had this juicy double combo lined up with four swords vertically and three swords horizontally from one move. I was thinking, "Wow, this is gonna be worth a bunch of attack!" And it was worth...one attack. Yay.
The blindness attack got me more than any other. I don't think there was a single time I was able to remember what blocks were there before the attack. I just treated them like they didn't exist for the duration.
I spent at least an hour on that dragon level. The fact that I have to make four combos (two shield and two sword) just to take one life *and* half the time I set something up it would crumble once they turned a key block to slag, made the level very very difficult. After my last round, I couldn't bring myself to continue. I got one heart away from victory and then my soul drained from me as I realized I had almost no attack or shield blocks left. And wouldn't get any more before the screen scroll would kill me. So that's as far as I got or am willing to go.
That aside, I played it for two hours and was more invested in it than any other game I've played so far. So what can I do except give it five stars? Excellent game.
Ok, I think that was the best game I've played so far in this Ludum Dare! That was absolutely amazing. You could probably just add some levels and already release it. Fantastic job!!
5/5 Ready to sell! This game is the most polished game I played so far in this Jam, superb job!
this was awesome and fun!! im shocked at how well tuned this was for the time you had. clever and cute!
What? Made in 72 hours? Congratulations!! As an "Tetris Attack" addict, that was really refreshing
The most gorgeous game! The learning curve is very correct and there was not a single moment when I had nothing to do. That's the joy games should give, thank you very much for such a gaming experience! And your game at the beginning reminded me of the PS Vita game "No Heroes Allowed: No Puzzle Either", although this is probably due to the fact that I just don't remember anywhere else that three in a row was used as an indirect battle.
Awesome game I really enjoyed this. Amazing polished 72 hour creation. I really like the concept and art direction. Wow!
It is always nice to come across a game that feels so well polished in ludum dare. My only regret is that I'm pretty bad at this game so I didn't get to paly too far in to it.
This is all nice and stuff, until you get to World 3. I absolutely hated the world. It has one of the most overpowered action in the game : it pulls a column of blocks upwards. I don't see any practical way to beat it without having one heart left.
There is also the dragon boss that has magic defense and an ability that makes the blocks unmatchable. You can still destroy the blocks using the missiles, but they will always target the blocks at the top.
Speaking of magic defense you really had to make it only usable to magic attacks. It's one of the rarest blocks in the game too, making it even worse to play. Also regular attack blocks are just as rare.
So in order to beat the game, you need near-perfect RNG. If you don't have good RNG, then the game is impossible.
This game is IMPRESSIVE. I would say the only issues I had is that the Invisibility spell adds on too many things to handle to the game. I can't remember what was there AND make plans to clear blocks AND try to be actively countering whatever's happening on the right side of the screen. The game's too intensive for that.
Also the final boss feels like you just need to play well until RNG decides to smile upon you kindly. The junk blocks not being removable without an RNG rocket blast removing them for you feels bad.
But, that's just a few blemishes on an absolutely MASTERFULLY put together game - nice work!
I'm really bad at this game and everyone who watched me play felt bad afterward because of it. Really solid game though, the visuals are great and the enemy mechanics have some fun variation. Really good polish too, especially for a game jam game! My friends started playing just to show off how much better they were than me and they enjoyed it too lol
I loved the game!
Everything about him is cute. I'm amazed that I have to make such a good game in such a short amount of time.
congratulations really!
Only in innovation that I won't give such a high rating, because I've played a lot of games like this on the SNES.
God you have a great team ! The game arts sfx and gamedesign are top notch but you also are very successful in creating a game that feel whole. You guys have a nice synergy I want to test your other games right now !! I was stuck at the double head boss the one with the 3x attack, I like how he's here to check if the player can delaying combos and reading action bar correctly. The difficulty curve is alos finely tuned ! Congratulations !
Few times I have seen such a polished game as a jam entry. Brilliant gameplay and awesome music. Congratulations!
OMG this game is SO CUTE and it's fun but kicks my butt lol and it's so polished and with so much variability and it's just mind-blowing that this was done in 72 hours, good grief! VERY well done everyone! This is one of my fav entries 🙌
Nice little game.
Amazing stuff! Might be my favorite entry so far. Came for the beautiful pixel art, and stayed for the actually really fun gameplay. There's defiantly potential here for more! Also just overall it feels really polished and smooth, which is always a great and impressive thing to see in an entry(^:
Great game!
At first glance, I thought the horizontal swap would be a quite basic gameplay mechanic and didn't expect anything crazy from it. But gosh I was wrong! The gameplay is actually much deeper than I expected, and was really solid in the end!
Loved the game so far, good job!
