You've Got Mail! by Sheepolution 2022-10-04T18:58:08Z
Very nice! :D
I think, there could be a whole subcategory of games handling this "receiving mails" theme :D
Our games are quite similar ;) Check it out if you like! :)
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → Users → yoko-san
| Year | LD | Theme | Game | Division | Rank | Ov | Fu | In | Th | Au | Hu | Mo | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|

Very nice! :D

Cool game, I like it!
I'm new to these survivor games, but I'm quite used to rhythm games :)
So, maybe this is a new genre for me :D
Awesome little game! Very addictive :D I don't like that you can walk outside of the visible map area ;(
@philstrahl wow, really really cool game! short but good! :) sad to see your place so empty :( but every end is a new opportunity :D
Great concept and nice artstyle! :D
fun game and interesting concept! I like it! :D
it might be my computer, but it took me a while to move the limbs
Very nice game and awesome level design! :D
I really enjoyed playing this game :)
If you've been used to the old Tetris since you were a kid, your game is a real brain twister!
But I really like the concept! I will definitely play this game more often! :)
Very fun game, I like it! :D It might be important later in the game, but in the beginning I wasn't really paying attention to the direction my cursor was pointing :D
Very nice game :)
i like the perspective and the choice of colors. it was reduced to the essentials, otherwise you would need too much time to search the levels
theme is very well implemented
I love the art style! Too bad that it's nearly unplayable at the moment :(((
Great game! I'm impressed that it's possible to create a hex-based turn based strategy game in a gamejam :)
Very fun game! And the visuals are awesome :D Maybe you should add some indicators in which direction you can find the next enemy.
Well, that was fun! :) but stressful! XD I like it!
Quite hectic, but nicely done!
It doesn't look like it at first glance, but our games are very similar :D
Check it out if you like!
Awesome game! Super polished! hard to believe this was done in 72 hours! :D
@eugenik is there no downloadable file yet?
nice game! i love rhythm games, so this could be a game i play more often ;) unfortunately, it's hard to keep an eye on the rhythm-tracker AND the map at the same time. maybe, placing the rhythm-tracker on the bottom, while the bars move from right to left, would work?
Really cool and fun game! I like the mix of 2D and 3D assets! :) The game concept is pretty nice :D
I think the game is too hard (for me at least), I was barely to reach room 3 or 4. Maybe reduce the health of the enemies in the first rooms?
You should point the player to the exit of the first room.
Short but good game! :D
The artworks are awesome and the atmosphere is very fitting.
But what kind of creepy face is that in the background?!
Please integrate a restart button at game over and when you win ;)
Nice game! like the artstyle and the gameplay but precise jumping is very hard :-/
Very nice game! Got S-rank :)
Definitely has Sims feeling!
At some point all the guests have piled up in the top left corner next to the kitchen. Does this have any particular reason?
A very nice game! :D At first I thought it was a point and click adventure. Maybe you can use this GameJam game as a base for a point and click?
The art style fits the atmosphere very well.
I didn't know what to do with the ax for a while. I just didn't notice anything changing in the inventory. After that everything was clear!
Should anything happen after the three pictures after the escape?
It seems like something is missing here.
Wow, this game looks so nice and polished! Really nice gameplay and mechanics. Maybe you could make a rhythem game out of this :)
Very nice! It took me a few tries to beat the game!
The music creates a depressing atmosphere (which is good).
The pixel art graphics look really nice too. :)
nice game (love the pixelart look) but difficult at the beginning! :) at first, i was wandering around, thinking the mouse-control is broken because every button was unclickable. until i noticed that i have to start with the "take order" button :D
Very nice game! I love the art style! :)
I played the game over at itch.io without the info about "spamclicking". However, I must have gone game over for about 10 times before I understood what I had to do with the cats.
At first I tried drag and drop but without success. multiple clicks would eventually turn the cats border red, but red is never a good sign: it suggests that you clicked too many times and the cat is angry which maybe is goint to give you a strike.
maybe it should be the other way around: red first, and green at the end, so you know you're doing it right ;)
Very calm and relaxing game :) i wish i could look around the beach while building
@sofy please don't expect too much :D
@marcodeevil thank you :)
@0x-void-x0 yes, i know :) i wanted to present a twist ;) the real horror in life is repetition :)
@thebmxeur thank you for playing 😀
Yes, I had ambitious plans for this game, but there wasn't quite enough time.
As already mentioned in the description: I will soon submit an updated version with more game mechanics ;)
@sheepolution thank you for playing! :D
Yes, that's really funny! But that shows that many people have experienced such problems in real life. Our games are therefore socially critical! ;)
As mentioned earlier (description and other comments) I had to skip some planned game mechanics to finish at least "something" before the deadline.
I will try to update the game later this month :)
@bougiebirdie Thank you for playing! :D I wanted to create a contrast between booth parts of the game. I'm glad you liked it! :)
@paloobi Thank you for playing! :)
Apparently some players are having problems with the drag and drop feature. I had mistakenly assumed that this would be totally obvious...
Well, I'll definitely add a little bit of information about this game mechanic.
After the next major update the game should be more varied and challenging :)
@milq thank you for playing! :D
I'm glad you liked the mood I created. I really like making the environment feel alive :)
@macs Thank you for playing! :)
I'm already working on the next update and today I added the first elements to interact with :)
I hope this will make the game a little more varied!
Of course, the jam version (for the rating) remains unaffected.
@wobbleblocks Thank you for playing! And congratulations on escaping this hell ;D
@demigiant Thanks for playing and the compliments! ;)
Yes, I would have liked to add more features, but unfortunately as a solo team you have to make compromises somewhere.
But, I'm already working on an update with new features! ;)
P.S.: Thank you for DOTween! The plugin is really a big help! :D
@guilloteam Thank you for playing and for the feedback! :D
I'm glad that I was able to implement the atmosphere I had in mind in such a short time :)
@tero-pulkkinen Thank you for the feedback! :D
Didn't you try to interact with the turned on computer in the corner of the office? :sob:
If not, I would be happy if you would try it again! :D
@akkara Thank you very much! :D
@dxk2294 Thank you so much! :D
I have done my best to create an authentic office atmosphere! ;)
@fosf0 Oh nooo! :(((
Yes, the browser version has a few flaws. That's why I actually prefer the download version...
What problems did you have exactly?
@ehon Thank you very much for playing! :)
Yes, I was a bit shocked at first, because the game is running so well as WebGL build! Never tried it before, but it seemed quite necessary for getting some ratings :D
About the email texts:
I had planned to pay much more attention to the email content, but unfortunately didn't have enough time.
To my surprise, I didn't find any emails in my spam folder that I could simply copy & paste into the game! :(
@epeachyband Thank you very much, and thanks for playing my game! :)
It's really amazing how much atmosphere a few sound effects can create! Never underestimate SFX and BGM! :D
great game! but a bit difficult to get used to the right rhythm :)
nice game :D is there a way to restart a level?
Simple, but nicely done :) Ducks are always a plus ;) Unfornunately, it's to hard for me :( After dying 10 times in 2nd level i had to give up.
Nice collection of mini games! :D
that was kinda very deep :D
nice concept :D but ended in pure chaos! :D i think there is a major problem: the two keys right from [L] do not work on a non US(?) keyboard layout.
on a german keyboard layout, its the following:
[;] = [Shift] + [,]
['] = [Shift] + [#]
Great game! It was really fun! :)
I have to admit, I got stuck on "East Passage" for way too long trying to find that last triangle :D
Nice! I really enjoyed the trip to the lonely, snowy landscape. The world is huge and the art style is cool; even the trees somehow reminded me of when I used to play with Lego :D The atmosphere is very fitting.
Really cool idea, and just a tiny bit of stress ;)
I think there’s still a bug where you hear an error sound even when you enter the correct input.
By the way, I’d be all for being able to use the phone as a projectile! It’s probably indestructible anyway! ;)
@lenny-rudeberg haha, ok, phone glitching out of the arena sounds like a pretty serious game breaking bug :D
Wow, this plays so well and looks so polished! The music fits the mood perfectly! I love it!
I made a game for LD51 that’s pretty similar, but the game loop in "Packet Loss" is way better :)
Nice game, but the learning curve is a bit steep.
Did I miss the explanation of how to use the "X"?
Perhaps you should add more detailed instructions to the game description :)
@carterjbx To finish, I unfortunately had to decide to leave out a few features that would have gradually increased the difficulty. It's also a bit too slow for me ;) Thanks for playing and rating!
@mekuire thank you for playing :) @nuelijarma thank you for playing :)
@toppervideogames The plan was for the animals to appear faster and faster, eventually several at once. Unfortunately, I only managed to include a game over condition. Sorry about that!
@illiteratelexicon Thanks for playing! :) Sorry about the jump scare, that wasn't on purpose! :D
I'm currently working on a modified version of the game, but it wouldn't be fair to rate that one, since those improvements weren't made during the jam.
@pierre-marie Thanks for playing! :)
Yeah, I’m (unfortunately) aware that the game isn’t very challenging in its current state :-/ I didn’t get a chance to really test it until just before the deadline, so I couldn’t make any more optimizations without risking more game-breaking bugs
@fkjaha Aw, thank you so much! I'm so happy to hear that! :D
Thanks for playing! :)
@itero-proto I'm sorry to hear that! What didn't you understand? I decided not to include in-game instructions, but I actually included everything important in the description.
Still, thanks for playing! :)
@jerrywest Thanks for playing! :)
Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to add a higher difficulty level.
Next time, I'll try harder to finish the Gameloop earlier in the jam.
@caelestial @valentinwb haha :D thanks for playing! :D
@neshtyak thanks a lot! :D
@marks thanks for playing! :D
@oddballdave Thanks for playing and leaving comments! :)
Yes, unfortunately, the game is currently way too easy and monotonous. I didn't have enough time at the end to fix that without risking more (game-breaking) bugs.
The meerkats should react more slowly if you raise a false alarm before. Next time, you’ll have to call them more often before they respond.
I’ve implemented this in the current version using a simple random integer (Unfortunately, I realized after the jam that this feature is skipped due to a bug...).
This is such a cool game! I just had to play through it. I did have to use the hints a few times, though, because I couldn't stand the shrill sounds after a while :D You guys did a really great job in such a short time and put together a very polished game.
Great game! I wish the playing field were a little bigger. At some point, there are so many enemies on the screen that you can barely find a chance to launch your attacks. But it was really fun! :)
I love that idea! :D
Sometimes you hear TV sounds. Are those audio cues, or is it just random?
Cool game! :)
Unfortunately, the controls are a bit clunky, since you usually have to hold down two buttons at once.
Would it be a bad idea to remove the intermediate settings when selecting the signal, so that the slider only locks into 3 positions?
Really cool and polished game :D
In the jam version, I had some issues with the camera and a few UI elements that seemed to be misaligned, but other than that, it’s really well done! :)
Unfortunately, with user-generated content, you’re naturally at the mercy of other players’ goodwill. For example, I received a few images where no one even tried to draw a human face. But, of course, that’s not your fault ;)
Like I said, cool game, maybe a little grim ;)
Oh, i would love to see whats up with little Lain ... errr ... Mina!
Is it possible to upload the game as a web-export? :)
Cool game, interesting story, and great artwork! :)
Looks interesting, but maybe there is something wrong with the web-version?
For example, there are no text-boxes or item-hints like in the screenshots provided. The game freezes when you run into that person on the upper floor(?).
Okay, the itch.io version seems to work better :)
I really like the setting, audio, and atmosphere!
Maybe you should display the language selection first. I only found it by chance in the settings because I noticed the screenshots were in English :)
Okay, I wasn't expecting that :D But it was funny
Unfortunately, I totally messed up on my first try, but it went much better the second time :)
Maybe you could add some audio cues whenever a new signal is set. A timer would definitely be helpful, too.
