Don't really know what i'm supposed to do...
Haha, I like the literal theme interpretation (we were totally considering that too). Game itself is sort of hard though..
Fun game with good progression. One thing I noticed is that you can accidentally waste a prop easily by clicking the button for the other prop. The characters clipping each other also looks kind of funky, but not a big issue.
Very cool. It makes me want to play a longer version.
Very polished! I really like the camera zooming, although might be good for it to auto zoom at the start of a level (was a bit confused on a level before I realized I needed to zoom out to see the other planet!).
Also, the radio chatter audio was a neat idea and really helped the mood!
pretty fun
The art and overall mood is seriously amazing. I would love to see a full game from this!
Love the execution; very slick.
The blocks placed by clicking seem to be determined arbitrarily, which makes it pretty frustrating to play at times.
Neat gameplay idea! Simple but surprisingly fun. Would be cool to see what other gameplay mechanics you could add. I also like the overall graphical style, although it's a little weird that the player doesn't really account for the 3d perspective.
haha wow it is pretty hard, but in a good, challenging type of way. The worlds mechanic reminded me of VVVVVV a bit (with the gravity switching).
Pretty fun! I wish the difficulty scaled a little bit though (the waves seemed to get longer, but not much harder).
I liked the ship graphics, but the enemy ships were a bit hard to see sometimes. I think an easy change that would make the game a lot more playable is to add some kind of radar/minimap.
Cool stuff. Really like the overall idea, but it suffers from a slow start and lack of challenge.
Really hard
Neat idea but lots of bugs. A lot of the menu dialogs are cut off, and there's no explanation on how to do anything. The font is also very blurry. Asteroids seem to be flying randomly and will often clip through the planets/star.
The graphics seem pretty good and the music is alright.
Puzzles were really neat (last level was pretty funny though).
Thanks for the comments everyone! Difficulty was definitely higher than we intended it to be (I guess we got pretty good at our game after testing it so much..)
@r0x0r
Added a link to the linux port. I haven't been able to test this yet; let me know if you have any issues.
This game was really fun and addicting! It's surprisingly entertaining just watching the AI ships bump around. I'm really impressed by the overall polish and the amount of powerup variations!
I like it! Got a score of 53 after a few tries, though I feel like I didn't quite understand all the mechanics (e.g. how to effectively use the rotator, or how a settlement 2 works). Ended up just going with a strategy of prebuilding transmitters to everywhere I could. Definitely could see a full-blown game based on the concept!
The artwork is great, and the cutscenes slides in the beginning were particularly charming! I really like the different mechanics (heating, grinding, shaking). Does get a little overwhelming with the frequency of items (having the trash just be anywhere off the table might make it easier to tidy up).
That was really heartfelt, especially the part where all the ships return together. The gameplay was simple but unique, and I love the art (particularly those animated clouds)!
Nice, a simple but fun twist on a classic! I like the paper-like art!
Wow, this is really high quality! Obviously the graphics are great, and I really like the puzzle mechanics so far. Unfortunately, I'm not sure how to get past the hallway with 2 ghosts and a single button on the ground, with bars between the button and door (around 4-5 levels in): stuck.png
I'm sure I'm missing something obvious, but any chance I can get a hint? I thought about trying to attract the ghosts to stand on the button for me after I went through the bars, but no dice.
Haha, short and simple but surprisingly entertaining (and trippy)!
It was fun churning out orders once I got the hang of where things were! Really nice pixel art too, though I sometimes found myself staring at the buttons instead of taking in the artwork (having the buttons be pop-up icons at each station would have been neat!).
Fun little platformer, great music. Took me a lot of tries, but managed to finish it! Controls felt a bit "slippery" to me at first, but eventually got the hang of it. Did run into a minor bug - not sure what happened, but the first time I left the final room (to the left), I got reset to the previous checkpoint instead of going to the ending screen.
Haha, simple but fun! Love the catchy background music, and I like how the humans queue up. Difficulty ramped way up for me by level 4, but it was still hilarious just watching the biscuits fly by and pile up by the end.
I love puzzle platformers, and this one was really fun! I think the season mechanics was a creative take on the theme. I also had trouble with the technical jump at the 2 leaves part (as others have mentioned), but I think the puzzle aspect was great!
Thanks for all the kind comments and feedback everyone! Definitely hear the feedback about it being hard to make nice music - there were a lot of details related to rhythm / audio timing that I wasn't able to dig into during the jam. Glad people still had fun though - hopefully there's some charm even to particularly horrible tunes :)
@protowlf @gorr @chase-of-bass - Thanks for sharing! I'm happy I added that song data feature - it's fun seeing songs other people come up with! (note for others: if you're copying the json from a comment, you'll need to replace the double quote characters with standard ascii double quotes for it to work in game)
@yoko-san - Ah, thanks for pointing that out, will keep that in mind for the future!
I really love the charming art, music, and super fun fishing mechanic! The boat upgrade progression felt good and kept me playing (cute twist at the end!). Always inspiring how polished and fun your team's games are!
This was really fun! The balance/scaling of the upgrades felt great, made me play longer even after finally managing to farm all the fields. I love the tomato rolling animation too.
Easy to understand but tricky to master! Only managed to just squeak past on each level haha. The ice was a fun mechanic.
Cool, doing 3d in a jam is always impressive! Great music too. I also ran into that bug a couple times where I got stuck in place (I think it happened at the end of an attack animation). Also didn't realize you could zoom out with the mousewheel at first, that definitely made things easier (instead of having to open the map constantly).
Fun! I liked the different levels, and the quirky humor!
Fun little platformer! The dialogue was a great touch that kept me playing until the end.
Really challenging, but super rewarding when I finally beat it (that last level was brutal for me, took me like 20 tries)! I can tell a lot of thought and testing went into the movement mechanics and level design. I feel like I barely scraped by; it'd be really cool to see a speedrun video from someone who's mastered the mechanics!
Fun! I liked the challenge of switching between different tools, and the upgrade system! It was sometimes hectic trying to pick up the right items, but that definitely reminded me of the overcooked experience :)
I did hit a bug where I managed to put 2 corn into a 1 corn order, resulting in a -1, though was still send the order in.
@slantyoj - Thanks for playing! Yeah, the band-aid box is there to make things a bit more challenging, but definitely see how it's easy to miss. This is the only level unfortunately (ah, darn time constraints!).
Appreciate all the feedback everyone! Yeah definitely agree that the band-aid item wasn't the most easy to understand, and wish we had more time to add more levels or additional mechanics.
Super fun art style that matches the silly gameplay well! It's pretty hilarious that doing nothing seems to be better than futilely shoveling, though it's definitely a lot of fun trying!
(haha, made it to 106989 potatoes just standing at the door)
Whoa, really impressed by this, especially given the jam timespan - clearly a really ambituous project. I particularly liked the painterly art style, and the boss being made up of small creates was fun. 16m for me!
This was fun! The tutorial levels were a nice touch. The 2nd-to-last level was probably my favorite - I liked the interaction of having to push one block with multiple creatures.
Haha this was great, I'm a sucker for programming-type games. The `X * Y` mechanic is a fun idea, though maybe a little too easy to abuse (my first attempt I tried like 20 * 20 and everything slowed to a crawl). Would also be cool to add conditionals for some more complicated loops!
Love the character art. I did run into some trouble with the abilities (not completely sure why I wasn't able to double jump at first when reaching that point), but eventually made it to the end! Like others have said, I think it turned out well considering this was your first jam :)
