Wow cool little game. And a really nice implementation of the theme. It reminded me a bit of the stanley Parable with the narration and the pressing of the button. but the randomness of where the button goes really urged me to keep pressing it at the right time. Good job!
Liked your little game right there! Loved it when the camera and gravity shifted. The voice over helped it quite a bit. Music and sound was fitting. I can see, that this could be really fun with tight platforming etc. Most satisfying was the last Button Push :) Too bad about the html, but so what.
I pushed the button, I follow the button, I pushed the button, I follow the button hahaha. Good job it's fun to see the new way the button move, at the begining 10 seconds is a bit long without doing anything. And I couldn't hear really well the voice maybe some little subtitle :) Good game anyway ;)
I think you have made a button pressing game as fun as can be. I hardly understood the voice. (But I am not a native speaker)
@tobias-froihofer @bredera Thanks for playing a rating! It's my first Ludlum Dare and I'm just glad the uploads worked and the game was playable! Getting good reviews is a nice bonus!
@oakhardt I would love to have had time to make some 3D platform elements or maybe a 3rd person view to give it that Mario 64 vibe *one of my fav all time games) - your feedback is most appreciated!
@black-potion @jeremia You are right about the dialog - I wasn't happy with it but was recording late at night with my kids in bed! Needed to keep quiet!
A subtitle would have helped and I will do that next time
Uh oh!
If you're seeing this error, it means I can't find your index.html file.
This usually means you created your .zip file by zipping the entire folder, and index.html is somewhere like MyGame/index.html. If you recreate your .zip with index.html file in the root, this error should go away.
See the embedding guide for more details. ludumdare.com/resources/guides/embedding/ 404 Not Found
@chillertyp The weird thing is, the web zip I uploaded _did_ contain an index.html file. But there is something about default Godot beta exports that doesn't seem to be working here.
It is my fault for using an early beta...
But I have uploaded versions for Mac, Windows and Linux and they should be fine. Let me know if not. thanks!
Great game! its also like the perfect length for what the content is, I don't really have any criticisms beyond that the web version seems to be broken, maybe some more intricate visuals or bad endings when you fail to hit the button? but those definitely aren't needed, I had fun; hope to see what you make next!
Best button i've ever pressed 10/10 Nice Game :)
I like jams for gems like these! Well done lol
@fawny-breen Thanks! I have entered a few week-long jams and always go overboard on concept. For this, my first Ludlum Dare entry, I realised I had around 6-9 hours max to make the game due to...being a dad of two under 5s! So I focused on a simple mechanic and then honed it a little over the evenings. I based the length on the soundtrack (which I mixed up in GarageBand in a half hour or so) and I tried to come up with as many twists as I could without opening Blender (in my experience Blender is the worst rabbit hole to go down in game jams!)
So yes I totally agree on the need for a more fun or dramatic fail mode when you miss a button press!
Thanks for the feedback!
@phoenixofforce @verbante thank you for your kind words and positive vibes! Much appreciated from this first time Ludlum Dare jammer!
Wow this was honestly awesome, I absolutely loved this. It's so simple and yet it is so brilliant. Gives a very Stanley Parable-esque vibe to it which is amazing. You can tell at the start youre going to go through a bit of a trip. Love what you did with the time at hand, I think there is so much room to do wild stuff with this haha A+!
Holy shit XD I laughed way, wayyy hard when playing this game. Really fun XD
AHAH great game, had fun all along, short but really nice ! very groovy with the music GG !
Amusing idea, very Stanley Parable-esque I liked some of the curve balls you threw Only criticism would be that the vocals were a bit indecipherable at parts
Haha, short and simple but surprisingly entertaining (and trippy)!
That was a neat little entry! I enjoyed the experience a lot. Like the other the embedded version didn't work for me. I was glad to see a Godot 3d entry. I always use Godot for 2d and Unreal for 3d. I need to explore the 3D side of Godot a bit more now with 4. Solid entry!
Nice short and fun game! I knew it would get interesting when the button started going up the wall. Great implementation of the theme. Loved how you added a voice over really set the mood for the game.
@ryan-dotsikas @nullval @nataku92 Your feedback means a lot! Thank you so much for taking time to play and rate!
@cosmonautical You're the second person to mention Stanley Parable - I must check it out!
Thanks for playing and leaving great feedback. You are right that the vocals need more work - I was not happy with them and will do better next time!
@braiizen excellent! Thanks for taking time to play and leave a message, means so much that you enjoyed the madness!
@codechomper thanks for your feedback! I've been watching Godot for years and dabbled with v3 but v4 is where it's at for 3D stuff. It's still early days and the stability and performance is not yet there. But the APIs are locked in so it's a great time to start learning - especially on short term game jams
The fact that I can't launch the game because of my graphic card driver made this game mysterious to me
That went some unexpected places! Really well-designed.
Might I recommend adding subtitles for the narration, though? I literally couldn't make out what was being said @_@;
PUSH IT HARDER, BETER, FASTER, STRONGER  Good work! Subtitles would be really useful tho :)
@fullsaphir oh sorry. I think it must be the requirement for vulkan. Not sure how to enable OpenGL as fallback (or if I can)
@ryusui @discomusic sorry for the poor dialogue. Subtitles next time for sure!
Thanks for playing and rating!
Great concept and fun game! The surprises were... well... surprising! As others have mentioned I couldn't really understand what the voice was saying because the music was the same volume so maybe either have volume controls for the different sound channels or add subtitles.
I had a lot of fun playing it! I like the nod to the Portal aesthetics, and the concept overall reminded me of old joke websites\flash games like "don't push the red button" :) Very nice entry, make me smile :)
@krasimir-balchev Thanks so much for playing and rating. More effort on sound next time!
@bootak So glad you liked it, and I loved the Portal games and they were a definite influence on me making this
Nice!! seu jogo
It's kinda my work day.
