@arfilish My interpretation of the was that sleep is inevitable and your delaying your sleep to stay awake for the theme announcement. (the jam always starts at 3am were i live)

@gbgames No thats not intentional. Its weird that it does work to some degree. If either the java version or opengl does not work nothing would show. Very weird

EDIT: So i had some debug controlls in. If you press A/D or use the left stick of a gamepad the camera moves up and down. That could be the cause of the problem
So maybe try removing the gamepad if you have one connected. And avoid A/D ^^
@gbgames I dont know if you get notified about my edits. But in case you did no notifaction, i am writing this again. The post above has maybe a fix for the problem, i could also upload a fixed version, if it still does not work.

* Download the "alternate_shader.zip" * delete the *normal* shader folder located in "res/" (so delete "res/shader" or the contents) * unzip "alternate_shader.zip" * move the unziped "shader"-Folder (not the "alternate-shader"-Foler) where you deleted the other (do it with the files instead, if you deleted the contents)

Somehow i did not find anything. No new spells, no enemy, no exit. The Sounds and water animation were great tho. (and it took a few tries to identify "nat" as "wat")

The game got pretty laggy from all the enemies. Pretty tough but it was a good game :)
Very nice game. The only complain i have, is that when your too fast you cannot see the enemies coming because the cam moves slower.

Edit: There is a small error in your typewriter effects. Were long words start on one line, but as then as the word gets too long for the current line jumps to the next. In this case the word should start directly on the next line.
The music was fantastic. Maybe the score is broken. One time i had like six meteors and the same score when i just had 2 meteors.

@mvasko2 First, thank you for playing :D Today I implemented a score tracker, but i am not sure if the change is small enough to upload it here (since "You can’t add new features"). I guess we still could upload the new version to github.

@mhorth For each style i placed some (more or less accurate) hitboxes. Then, when everything is loaded, i count how many hairs are inside and outside of those hitboxes. Lets call them beforeInside, beforeOutside. Then when the time is up and i count them again: afterInside, afterOutside. With those numbers we can write some sort of formula that calculates the score: - when afterInside= 0, everything that is important to the style was cut off, which results in score 0 - the same when nothing was cut off - otherwise i calculate the accuracies for the insides and outsides: - insideAccuracy = afterInside / beforeInside - outsideAccuracy = 1 - (afterOutside / beforeOutside) // 1-x because we want to reward cutting of unimportant hair
For the score a calculate the mean(= (insideAccuracy + outsideAccuracy) / 2) and multiply it with 4 and add 1. This results in a 0 when you do nothing, or cut off the wanted style. And should - in theory - give you nice scores from 1-4 depending how good you were. In praxis it is ok-ish - as you can read in the comments^^.

The game is fun. Some sort of hit feedback would be great. When i shoot enemies in the second wave, they do not respond and dont die. Without the hit feedback i dont know if i somehow missed or it just has more health than the enemies in the first wave. Nevertheless very good game, would love to see it fleshed out :) Keep it up!

@Pavel Smejkal We were not aware of the difficulty. We tested the first few waves and thought it was nearly balanced and fair. Maybe we should try gathering more opinions next time.
@Samupo We just wanted to make a tower defense game despite the amount of tower defense games. I totally agree a with you about the ingame tutorial, the audio and balancing. Since it was the first game i had to balance i did not know if i got the balancing right.
@xoxo4c756c75 The button was supposed to do something but because of the lack of time and amount of balancing we decided to not implement it and leave the button in.

As also mentioned before the usual "upgrade-part" was planned but there was not much time left so we kicked it out. The Mills double your click-gain (perhaps we should added some text). The thing with the resolutions is, that it would be nice if my wood logs and stones would look in high-res nearly as good as in low-res ;)

@the_noffs Automatic productions is something that all clicker games have and thats why we put it in. Repairing towers does not came into my mind but sounds good. Or maybe clicking to build towers.
@Goplite The Mills double your click-gain (perhaps we should added some text). Upgrades were planned but the time wasnt enough :( And i wanted the wave skip too but the way I implemented the waves did not allow an easy solution for it.
