Launch Yourself! by Nehvis 2021-10-05T09:35:23Z

That was a fun game! :) A bit on the frustrating side sometimes as it was sometimes unpredictable (You could land a rocket jump right but still fall off the platform because the character fell down after the landing)

Other than that, it was fun and reminded me of my numerous hours on TF2 lol

Office Novice by HermesEs 2021-10-06T10:03:13Z

That is an amazing entry, polished to the point that it looks like a full game, amazing job!

Manoe's Quest by Mahjoub 2021-10-06T09:26:41Z

The dual gameplay makes the game a very innovative and interesting experience, and the art style is awesome! The strong inertia on the character during the platformer phase, although a bit surprising at first, was fast and easy to master, and added a lot of dynamism to the game in the end. Great job!

The Escape 49 by SpaceGuinea Productions 2021-10-05T09:49:45Z

A fun little platformer game, the glitches offered interesting challenges! I agree with the comments saying that there should be a feedback to show the cannon's charge, maybe also a visual for the direction the cannon is facing, it was kind of hard to estimate the direction the cannon was facing. Great job on this game!

Dear Ghost by Lancival 2021-10-06T09:46:22Z

The game's atmosphere and music is spot on, and the end was very touching, great job! The character is maybe a bit slow, but other than that I liked the game a lot

Unstable Load by Jerem Watts 2021-10-06T09:12:15Z

It took me a few attempts to put all the mechanics to good use, but it resulted in a fun experience. Destroying the enemies was pretty satisfying with all the UNSTABLE MATTER and screen shakes. It was easy to see where the player and enemies were with an art style that go easy on the eyes, and the voice acting is a cool addition. I found myself replaying a few times for fun, good job!

Lab Run by mikeklubnika 2021-10-05T10:01:45Z

Finished the game after a few attempts :D Fun idea, I like the pixelated aesthetic, and seeing all the scientists run around made me chuckle. It's hard to understand who you bump into though

Can you help me ? by Pythorogus 2021-10-05T10:13:33Z

I love the concept, it's a nice interpretation of the theme! The aesthetic is pleasing and some choices were actually pretty hard to make. The music was very nice too

Dread Knowledge by subcreation 2021-10-06T08:52:17Z

Quite an enjoyable experience! I like how the characters have different names and appearances each playthrough, and the game had me strategizing

Sonar by erikiene 2022-10-04T16:25:00Z

The game is amazing! And then people ask me why I'm scared of the deepness of the ocean, lol

I like that the resources and the submarine are sinking down, forcing you to update your equipment if you don't want to lose, although you can circumvent this by rushing to get as much resources as possible and upgrade your equipment a lot at the beginning. The handbook is a great addition too!

Speed Barber by PhoenixofForce 2022-10-04T17:21:20Z

Very cool game! I find the idea of a barber in a subway station very funny

miam by yopox 2022-10-04T16:46:26Z

I knew that all this time playing Cook Serve Delicious would end up useful! This game is very fun and satisfying to play. Only thing is that maybe the cancel key should just remove the last placed ingredient instead of making you restart the entire burger, it's making it almost impossible to recover from a failed ingredient on the more complex ones :/

Graphics and musics/SFX go very well with the game!

Call It A Day by Stenyin 2022-10-04T20:11:09Z

The concept is amazing, you really assimilated the theme and implemented it into your design in a way that feels natural and gives rhythm to it! I love the arcade feeling and the multiple amazing game design ideas, like being able to use the bones to hit your ennemy or break other bones, while they can also become obstacles if you place them in the wrong places.

The art style is coherent and very fitting for this type of game, and the audio is great too! I wish there was a settings menu to change the volume, but that really is a nitpick in contrast to all the work and effort that was put into the game. Great job to everyone involved!

Medieval Politics by sillyman987 2022-10-04T16:32:56Z

Good humor, and the concept is cool!

Gagaku by LoicLeGrosFrere 2022-10-04T16:02:32Z

Let's gooo I survived 9 minutes! It took me a few tries to understand what every construction does (I'm not sure to understand what the piercing one does though), but I got there in the end. It's an awesome feeling to discover there's kind of a meta with every construction, and learning how you can put them into use with each other to create perfect defense mechanisms is very satisfying! The overall mood is very relaxing too! GG

Magical bombs to relax/defuse to by Sethios 2022-10-11T16:31:14Z

@itooh Thank you for this detailed feedback! We agree that 10 seconds is a bit short for understanding the rules, especially with the way a bomb is thrown at the player right away. If we had just had a tiny bit more time, we would have added at least a "How to play" submenu in the main and pause menu to explain things to the player in a secured space. We've also taken your feedback about interactable objects into account and have included visual feedback when you hover your mouse over an interactable object in our post-jam update.

We're glad you enjoyed the game despite these flaws! For the issue of the game not sending you any bomb after a score of 31, it is a bug with the difficulty system that is now fixed, sorry you suffered from it :/ Congratulations for reaching such a high score though!

Magical bombs to relax/defuse to by Sethios 2022-10-11T16:31:18Z

@bqq Here's another mnemonic, to know what potion you should use to defuse the fire module on a telluric bomb: "On this Earth, you gotta fight fire with fire!" :p We didn't notice this practicity in the folders before you mentioned it, but it's great to hear that it helped you and will help other players in the future! About the bugs, we've noted the different bugs and issues that players encountered from the various feedbacks we received, including yours, and both of the issues you had (The symbols appearing under the timer and the bombs not being spawned anymore) have now been fixed in our post jam update, sorry that you suffered from them :/ Reaching a level of 30 is a pretty good feat though, congrats! We never expected anyone to get past level 25

For the levels, we've made a dynamic difficulty system tied to the in-game score. To try and explain it shortly, we have made multiple difficulty levels that slightly alter the algorithm for constructing the bomb (It notably alters the number of possible modules for the current bomb, as well as the probabilities of some modules appearing over others...) This difficulty then goes up depending on the player's score. This is how we could for example create the first levels that serve as an introduction to a type of module (We would only make one of this specific type of module available to appear on the bomb for the current level) before ramping up in difficulty. Then, it was just a matter of configuring the next difficulties to give the player a good difficulty curve. We didn't have a lot of time to finetune it, so we're glad it provided a good experience!

Magical bombs to relax/defuse to by Sethios 2022-10-13T09:15:53Z

Thank you for telling us! We're sorry about the breach of the rules. For us, the outline was more of a quality of life improvement than an addition. We've reuploaded the game's original version to the ldjam page. We've also tried to upload a web build (Of the original version as well), but it doesn't seem to be updating.

Rush Hourk by Ethery 2022-10-12T19:39:04Z

I didn't survive 3 days on the job, I guess I'm terrible at manipulating sliders, buttons and key codes lol

Jokes aside, the game was very interesting, and multitasking was fun! I also really liked the art, it sets up a pretty dystopian mood. Only issue I have with the game is that I wish there were checkpoints because starting all over can be a bit frustrating

Ten Second Survivors by Threaded Lama Digital 2022-10-13T10:53:52Z

I had a lot of fun! Replayed a few times just for my enjoyment, as well as the satisfaction of killing so many demons! I wish the player's score was displayed in the game over screen, but that's just a nitpick. This game is great, good job! I never played VS, but your game makes me want to check it out

Line Momentum by Itooh 2022-10-04T17:10:38Z

One of the best games that I've played this jam! The graphics are simple yet very effective, and the audio integration is amazing. The way the streak gets more difficult with the removal of visual cues and more instrumental layers is truly novel and inspiring! Gg, it was an awesome experience!

BUN-hop by bqq 2022-10-11T17:49:47Z

This game is very well crafted and thought out, it was a pleasure to discover moves and techniques to optimize my time :) The atmosphere was also very relaxing, which helped a lot given the number of times I've had to restart each level, the one thing you don't want in a platformer where you die or reset a lot is three annoying notes that replay over and over each time you restart the level.

The sound design is great, it's always a pleasure to see games that do more with the music than just putting it in the game and calling it a day. Music in a video game shines when it goes with the gameplay, which is the case in your game!

The only nitpick I have (And it's a veeeeery tiny nitpick) would be that it's a bit difficult to judge the distance you need to get through "barriers" when doing a "Crouch dash". I try to refer to the animation for help, but maybe a small highlight or effect on the character (Like a slight tint when the character is invincible) could help in discerning the invincibility, especially when you follow the crouch dash by a jump, since it visually just looks like a jump unless I'm missing something. But like I said, it's a very very tiny nitpick, the game is absolutely amazing. Great job!

On another note, I almost beat dev time on the 5th level ;)

10 second to Shelter by Frankey333 2022-10-13T10:11:33Z

I got all the endings! The game relies a bit too much on luck in the beginning, as you can sometimes just die because there was no food nearby. But if you get a good stuff at the beginning, the player is more in control and their death becomes their own fault, and the progression actually becomes quite fun in that case. The inventory upgrade objects are a very good idea, maybe the last inventory upgrade is a bit too much though, as it completely negated the choice of having to carefully select which items you take from each of your excursions. It made me feel pretty empowered, but made the game very easy all of a sudden. Other than that, I found myself replaying the game a lot to get the different endings and I had a lot of fun. Good job!

DingDongDie by figadei 2022-10-04T17:33:03Z

The game looks, sounds and feels very good! I love the effects that apply when time stops, they definitely sell the "It's payback time" feeling after having mercilessly been showered with bullets, lol. It is a bit too short, but I had a great time! The idea of a clock based bullet hell has a very good potential for a full game!

Puzzlebot by Lucas Simmons 2022-10-12T18:41:02Z

Very impressed to see a 3D platformer in a game jam! I loved the animations of Puzzlebot, they're very lively and cute! The puzzles were fun and made me feel pretty smart, and I had fun with the different levels, although some timing challenges, such as catching or stopping an elevator at the right time were more difficult than they should be, due to not actually being able to see the elevators (Which I also find a bit slow, even in the case where it was made to add a little bit of suspense). This has lead to a few frustrating deaths that felt more like an arbitrary hit from the game rather than a lack of skill. The music loop is enjoyable and not too repetitive, which is great. Also, showing the energy charge of Puzzlebot on their back is such a great idea, it makes me think of the way Dead Space developers decided to show the player's health bar. That's a pretty good game overall, good job!

Venge Of Mari by DileriumL 2022-10-04T17:01:37Z

Cool game! It's difficult to hit the soldiers without getting hit ourself though, that can be a bit frustrating :/
