Didn't work for me, it seems to be missing the .pck file

Didn't work for me, it seems to be missing the .pck file
I'll test the link again to see what's wrong
I don't use godot, but if i had to guess it seems like you included a download for the application but not any of the associated data files it would need to run. I'm going to guess when you package a game for release with godot it will spit out a .zip or file folder with all the game's necessary files, and what you did is include just the executable itself. i'm assuming it should work if you upload the entire folder
Thanks for the info. I seem to have fixed it by adding a .pck file to the download page
I like the feel of the game! Very chill audio and music, with visuals to match. I think there could be a bit more variety in the game play (eg different collectibles) but it's a good start.
I did notice I got game over screen a bit randomly though, it wasn't clear what caused it so I'm not sure if it was a bug or something actually hit me? Or did I run out of time? Maybe pausing on the screen for a second to highlight what happened before showing game over would help the player learn? (This was a common piece of feedback in my game too :)
Also since you're using Godot, have you considered doing an HTML5 export? It should be able to handle a game like this pretty easily even with GLES3 and might make it easier for people to play (esp those without a Windows PC)
Nice work!
Great! I love this pixel art. It's so cute!
Nice Game. Everything is clean and well-polished. I think two files can make up a zip on itch. Anyway good job.🐱
That was a nice and short game. I enjoyed it and was a bit confused about the passwort at the end but i think i managed to find out the message. Well done
Gameplay is sparce, but it is well made. there wasn't anything that I could point to and say its unfinished. So big props on that. The game really only missed scaling difficulty, I could play it forever and not die, although maybe by playing I am just delaying the inevitable of me giving up? lol
thanks @jordwest for mentioning the issues of the game-over panel appearing too fast. I was running late so I didn't have time to properly understand the submission process. It was my first time.
@aka-black-dog It happens to all of us, it's not easy to complete a game in 72 hours, that's what the feedback time is for. Congrats on finishing your first LD!
thanks @jordwest , LD has been a great first game jam
Really good game feel, particles really add the world to a game. Very fun and engaging gameplay as well, I could seriously keep playing for hours. However, I do think that the way the theme is integrated is a little blurry, but it was a very puzzling one to make work and this game did it better than many. Great job!
thanks @dot-dev , i'm glad you had fun
simple enough game, though sometimes the yellow shards didn't spawn for me so there was no way to win. should zip the two files together to make it easier to play. (it's also kinda big for the art used, that pack file is huge)
Simple and sweet game, the visuals looked nice and the music was chill. I was also a fan of the sound effects, things just fit together nicely. I agree with @aeonarch that the gameplay was a bit sparse, but it was a simple arcade-style loop and i think that works good for a game jam. Like some others have pointed out, I've noticed it's a Godot game (ours is too!) and that you were hosting on itch, so I'd definitely see if you can export the game to HTML 5 to avoid the whole .pck file issue. But other than that, I'm happy to be able to play your first LD game!
Love the visual effects and the chill music. This is a really simple and elegant game! I couldn't decode the message at the end ^^"
I think the game only lacks of some variations (different enemies, power ups, etc.) and a difficulty curve, but it's already a very good entry, well done!
Nice pixel art touch and music, interesting idea, though it got repetitive fast, so maybe speed up enemies after collected messages or add something else?
Thanks @raptor851 I'll look into it
Thanks @smubear I tried playing your game but I can't run it in my browser
Thanks @solah and @noiyy, will look into adding an endless mode with more variation
I'm on Windows now. :) Awesome and well fitting graphics with awesome effects! Controls felt smooth and great job with audio as well! It could be a little bit more challenging as the time goes. Also, mentioned few times already, but since this is Godot (I used it too!), HTML5 build should not be an issue. You can just export the project and upload it to Itch.io, and play it directly in the browser. That way, you will get more people to play it, because there is no extra hassle. Either way, great entry, loved it!
@dzejpi thanks for the feedback and also it's really cool that you did try my game, I'll try to upload an html5 build
I really love the polish on your game, the particles on the pickups and enemies, the feedback on the menu, all the little touches where really nice. good job.
A fun game with nice mechanics and a great gameplay loop
SFXs were amazing. Good Job!
Thanks for your feedback @zsharpfire and @misfire-dev I had fun playing your games
Fun and simple concept. My only complaint is that I wanted more enemies, obstacles, etc. It left me wanting more because I had a good time with it! Good job!
Good job! I spent some time with this game. Nice simple graphics with nice selection of colors and fitting sounds.
As a point to improve, it would be nice to inform player about clicking on the code fragments on the top right.
I played this for ages -- great job! The music fits perfectly, and the particle trail is a really effective way to make the player sprite feel more "alive" than if it were just a static sprite. I was surprised how effective it was, to be honest!
I got all the fragments but couldn't figure out how to enter the passcode... I typed everything in (watching the text entry box getting longer and longer) but couldn't submit anything. What is supposed to happen? I have to know!
Very solid game but I feel like its missing just one more element to keep it exciting when you get past the first few fragments. The music was very good though, and the graphics while simple were quite pleasing as well.
I collected 10 code fragments but not sure what the password is to decode the message. It was a little confusing on what to do at first but I got it down anyways. The controls feel pretty good and the visuals look nice too. I really wish to know how to get the password though
Nice graphics and I love the way your menu animates in and out. This is a great entry, nice work!
Cool game and music :) Some checkpoints would be nice... couldn't get past the final code fragment :(
I just loved the art and sfx. The main theme is amazing! allt he controls are very responsive too. Well done!
Such a cute little bullet hell like game. I was initially confused about what I was meant to do, but it was very quick and easy to get the hang of what was going on. The game play is well-executed for what it is, and the graphics are simple, but get the job done. I enjoyed the music way more than I thought I would. Part of me wishes that the game was *a little* more difficult and chaotic, only because I think it would instill more panic in me, and therefore more enjoyment. Overall, nice job!
Thanks for your feedback @proxy-games . Initially the difficulty was much higher but I thought that would be a problem for a jam game so I lowered it
uma mistura de Snake com Asteroids, interessante, só acho que faltou uma variedade de inimigos
