Cool game, I like the color pallette and the retro vibes. Also thought it was clever how the ceilings obscured the chest in some areas. Controls were a bit floaty but good job overall!
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD44 → Bloody Medic

I am to silly to start the game, computer says: "ld44/LD_44_LIN/LD_44.jar' is not marked as executable. If this was downloaded or copied from an untrusted source, it may be dangerous to run" and it resists to start it
I couldn't get this to run. Says it's missing: "/res/files/audio/EP.wav". Windows version.
@kharibidus Thanks :D
@konsumopfer77 @garys Sounds strange. I will try to fix it, but i cannot guarantee anything.
I can't see that file in the zip anywhere... should it be there or does the error originate somewhere else?
@garys Its supposed to be in the .jar.
hey, nice work! the art and concept are very good, and it works nicely with the sound.
That said, i think the gameplay is a bit confusing, particularly with keyboard controls (sometimes you interact with things by attacking them, sometimes using E). You have a good base here, i think it deserves an iteration!
good work!
It's a pretty cool game idea. I would like some indicators, how much "heartrate" I get from killing. And maybe how much damage I do. Other than that I enjoyed the game
When I hit download on the github page, the game simply just wont download
Good graphics and the progressive health decrease is bringing certain stress to a player. That tight together with the fact that sometimes you need to hit chest/door and sometimes interact (and hit chest just from specific angle) can create quite frustrating experience. I think the game would work much better just as it is without the progressive decrease of health but increased damage of enemies. Also the knockback from being hit seemed super huge.
Hey not bad at all for a Dare jam! Keep rockin' it!! :)
I'm also getting the Couldn't find file: res/files/audio/EP.wav error. (Linux version) Tried extracting the res folder from the jar but it didn't help. The files are certainly there though.
Really good game, I love the colors and the mechanics are interesting. The controls took me a while to figure out (arrow keys to move, ctrl to attack, enter to fire a needle, and shift to leave a room), but after that, it was a lot of fun.
the game graphics and effects are really great to look at ! sadly i had no sound and i often was stuck in a level because an ennemy was outside the boundaries. in any case, great jam for a two person team, well done !
I like it, but would have preferred if screen-shake could be disabled. Really enjoyed that you added a bossfight to the end, but the game would have benefited a lot from audio! (There wasn't any audio for me, anyway)
Well done on the entry :)
Thanks for playing and leaving feedback you all. Yeah theres not much audio (just a subtle heartbeat) ^^ And the screen-shake thing is noted for the next jam.
