Loved the play, music, characters. Great job on a LD time frame!! :)
Love the textures as well...fun side scrolling play! Great job (in a tight 48!!) :)
Awesome! I'm a David Lynch fan so my perspective on this may be skewed to many....but I loved it! :)
Excellent! Definitely inspiring idea and game logic. Props!
Great flow, great world! I Loved the "hopping" pixel characters style! :)
Love it! The story, the absurdity, the music...excellent work!
Nicely done! I alwasy have high respect for completing a compo no matter the finished product! Art was nice and consistant plus a simple idea that really worked! Keep it up :)
Really impressive feel! I jumped alot in Old Age hoping for an "exercise credit" of some sort.....but kinda glad I didn't get one. ;) Love it!
Loved figuring out the system...to the soft, peaceful music! Very nostalgic and inviting. Rated! :)
Awesome! I was a driving, blood splashing crazy man!! Nice work!
...Well it might not have been as tough as getting 6 batteries through our plasma field...but I did super enjoy the difficulties in your awesome world!! :D Great game man! If I had a Twitch stream...your game would have top spot!
Classic! Loved the no-hand sword effect...definitely got the sense of swinging the weapon across! :)
Very nicely done! I loved the idea of trading off the "life" of one organ for another. Humor was one of the best parts for sure. Keep it up!
Nice!! I'm a sucker for point and click golf games and this currency-themed one is tops! Much luck in your LD ratings!!
Great feel! Great world! I got pummeled by the big ships...but it has a good challenge then! :)
Hey not bad at all for a Dare jam! Keep rockin' it!! :)
Superb retro!! High marks from us! ;)
Cool crazy idea....my nose tingled just a bit every time I drove those needles UP into the top sensors! Gnarly fun!!
Good times!! :D
The little "clawing" effect was a nice nostalgic feel.
Great "indie" art feel! Keep it rockin!! :)
Really fun play! I always love the ability to run away and shoot behind me!! :D ...yes...I'm a runner!
Haha...dude the soundtrack couldn't be better! Fun play! I felt like a beatnick zombie hipster!! :D (as a compliment of course!!)
Great work! Reminds me of couch co-op games like "Gangbeasts" and "Human Fall Flat". It has a great low polly look to it. Nicely done!
Very cool! You've also convinced me that Web ported games seem to do much better!! ;) A great game in any platform!!
It took me a second to figure out the "flow" of how you advance the pigs....BUT...I do like a game (like this) that isn't brain-dead easy to figure out!! I like to do what I did with your game and try...re-try...get it...and love it! :) I especially like that once you have a path of springs, walkways etc...you get to just see the art as the pig runs through! Nice way to premiere the hard work of your music and world!! High rates from us! ;)
Great fun! Who doesn't like a happy little piggy bank? :) Awesome art and world!!
This is a cool concept and great play! Not a huge criticism...because we all had like 48hrs!...but I would have loved even a couple of different backgrounds to "rotate" through with the different choices. Even just a Warden background and a Prisoner background maybe. Again, didn't take away from the fitting music and ambiance of the game...and I'm sure you already have a ton of ideas for a non-deadlined build...so great job! :)
Clever clever!! Loved it...and....I "pride" myself on maybe being able to do art ok...but I was not doing great at robot portraits!!!! :D Thanks for a great game!
Awesome! Loved the main characters gun movement!
Really cool...loved the smooth movements and great sounds (and soundtrack!)
Very clever! I "loved" having to decide what should give up each round! You got something here...
Nice Concept! gameplay was smooth and easy to pick up. Great work!
Waaaay clever! I'm not the quickest at puzzles anyway...but it was fun when I thought "ummm...there's no way to do this level!" ...and then I figured out the path! :) Thanks for the creative challenge!
Came for the graphics...stayed for the game!! Great job! :)
Great feeling and play with "minimal" effects...which are not minimal...but just feel really pure and light. Loved it!!! :)
Nice! Great tribute!
Even with the issues...super fun!! I can't help but love cute/abstract! :D Chickens running the world...great, GREAT concept! Keep it up!
Loved the atmosphere of the game along with the sound. That slow melody really plays into the overall mood. Great work!
Haha...just played your game as a single player and the NON player beat me! :D Then I schooled him on the next turn though! Take that Darwinner!! Fun though, and loved the feel of bouncing my head around!
Fantastic!
Nice work! I love classic dungeon runners. I hit the Skeletal Floating guy first which had a cool "death" character from Adventure Time feel! Loved that!! :)
Like others have said...superb pixel work! Great game...loved the enemies! :)
That worm is nasty......but in a cute way! :) Crazy idea, really enjoyed figuring it out!
Way fun!! I had to 5.0 the goods! I'm on a Mac tower and it works like a charm. Great scrolling, great dynamics...loved it! And dude...Cats Without Cars...I want that to be a band or something!!! Great name!! :)
Great idea! Enjoyed playing. Happened to come across yours in the morning...so the mellow sounds were nice on early ears! :)
Sorry about that @slotha @cadmium @mimusangel @beanslasher @endssgamesstudio. Should be good to go now!
@blednaya Hey thanks! We'll keep debugging! I really appreciate your gameplay! :)
@pixscope Thanks! We're still working out a couple kinda big bugs...but we plan to really "up this game" now that the concept is at least running! :) Really appreciate your taking a look!!
Thanks a ton @deepterror !! Yeah this was crazy (and fun!) ...and really stoked how the plasma field charging worked! Honestly really appreciate the feedback. :)
@taqoshaq Hey thanks for the positive feedback! Yes, we are definitely going to port a web version. We did really crunch some big goals art and control-feel-wise, and we seriously uploaded the final downloadable build in the last 10 seconds of the Jam deadline!!! It was crazy...but a great moment! :) All that to say...we got some sleep and should have web version soon.
Thanks for the kind words! @arcus Will definitely knock down that opacity for the health bars...nice point! @kuro YES...I love this little cut scene a lot! We were busy the Friday night that the Jam started...so we literally started from scratch Saturday morning and designed all this in a fury of time!! Glad it's being noticed! ;)
Hey @menen might have been poor wording on our part. The idea is you can bounce more with lower power, when in the air you press “Space” again to perform a ground pound move that launches you upward. And as for the exit button we will definitely be adding some much needed improvements soon! Thanks for giving it a play test!
@alphabetasoup Wow...thank you for the great input! Yes, we did catch that we forgot to hit the "loop" feature on the music from comments and will address that asap, along with some improvements on your (and other's) comments. Including that audio sharpness...I kinda felt that might be an issue! :) We were not sure how best to get the "ground pound" idea across at the beginning, but again with folks pointing out the bit of confusion, we'll definitely address that! We have about 12 levels in concept with cool hazards, enemies etc.......so......thank you a TON for the Steam-buy incentive! You have probably single-handedly caused me NOT to procrastinate on that now!!! ;)
@moldymagnet Copy that...will be checking a few "infinite edges" we have heard of. Thanks for playing!! :)
Awesome! @exevalon !! Super appreciate the download and play investment of you all! We plan to fix some stuff of course before the 20 days is up, and get a web version posted. Glad you liked the plasma bit!! :D We thought it had a cool feel and were really hoping it didn't take away from the art and scenes. Thanks for the positive + energy ;D
@exevalon yes...we didn't realize this either till a day or so after the deadline. So...we've been getting our debug list together and will do a couple updates at least.
@knatt Hey thanks for playing! We're getting the music loop and an "infinite drop" fixed right now. Super bizarre...but the cart catch thing doesn't happen in the editor mode at all, but only when compiled and played! So...that will be an issue for the moment till we can figure it out. We're putting in a settings/reset so people can at least exit out when they want...particularly at an unplanned cart trapping!! :)
Hey thanks @miu ! I am totally with you!! I love to try and "figure" a game out intuitively. I don't mind exploring and mashing buttons to see what's up. Little secret (for you explorers) ...if you jump and right click...he does flips! :D It's fun! Wanted to have a few "discoverable" aspects to the game. Really appreciate your checking us out!!
@miu Hahaha...yes you do!! ;D (right clicking again should stand you back up)
@scott-redrup Thank you so muc...it was a serious challenge to try and get what we wanted done! Of course stuff was cut, but for the most part, this is what we envisioned. Really appreciate the kind words.
Thanks @supernapie for the kind words and suggestions! We definetly plan to develop this idea further so any feedback to make the player's experience more enjoyable means a lot!
We appreciate your input @redz0ner and thanks for the play test! Player movment is hands down one of the most important aspects of a good game. Even with as much time we spent with the movement we still needed to cut things out so we are excited to get that feeling smoother than ever in later versions :)
- @heyycap: Thanks for giving our game a try! it means a lot to us. As for the "Dead Batteries Bounce" concept, it's actually a crazy thing in real life. I've only come across some who have heard the saying, but here is a youtube video that does it justice https://youtu.be/ZywsCbWEun8
- @mario-marinelli: Wow thank you! it really means a lot to hear all the positivity from this community!
@ursagames Dude...thanks for the great stream of you playing our game! Yes...we have yet to kill that bug where the character gets stuck in the cart! You were a trooper to fight through that to the end! Good on you!!! :D Really loved seeing someone figure out the mechanics and have a good time. Appreciated the kind words. Thanks!
Hey @pl4typus sorry about the seeming difficulty and thanks for trying it out. It's your basic "side-scrolling" runner...so you just go to the side. ;) The concept is based on the "bounce" of a battery as it loses charge. So, the battery will bounce higher (space bar) as you LOSE charge. That also fit with theme of your life (or loss of it) being a form of currency. We knew it would be a bit counter-intuitive, but we also wanted to really try and do something we hadn't seen before. again thanks for checking it out! :)
@coleslaughter Thanks for the kind words...and the patience to figure the game out! :) Really enjoy seeing people adapt to the kind of "bizarre" dynamics of it!
Thanks @shunaky for the test play! Super appreciate your time!! :)
Superb! Human sound efx were the best!! :D
Rockin!!! Perfectly balanced toughness and gamble! :D I loved thinking I could beat the Imp...didn't...but made me want to try again! People want games that are SO easy...I'll never understand that. Good job!
Awesome! I LOVE plain, empty-eye characters! (small nod to our game! ;) but the play here is fantastic! Really got into the flow of it. Good job!
Ran it on my MacBook Pro just fine! Great game...really loved your art! :)
Superb! I love the glowing feel and ambiance. Well done!
Ok...you did it! I love making games MORE than playing them...but you hooked me! I played several rounds of this and honestly had to make myself stop! Great idea, great retro graphics, and yes...that guillotine is fantastic in operation smoothness and concept. All 5.0 from Zoneoutapps my friend! ;)
Really clever! And tough in a fun way! Well we still have some bugs we're working out on our Ludum 44 game...but over all we're really happy with the concept and feel. Give us a check! ;) It's called Current_CE
Great game! I loved the ghost animations. It looked really cool with a 2D world but small 3D looking elements like that.
Loved the graphics and play style! Great concept!
