Looks amazing but the boat spazzes out after 3 clicks. It will just flip on itself and zigzag on the same spot.

Thanks for the feedback, should be fixed now.
Graphics are super pretty and gameplay is relaxing. Those generated islands are pretty good too. I wasn't able to change my weapon to anything other than trusty cannon.
(Minor bug: your ammunition text renders behind islands)
Really buetifull game! But like wolderado, i couldn't change my weapon :/
Thank you guys, you need to buy the weapons first !
This is absolutely gorgeous. So soothing and smooth, and so fitting for the theme.
Currently I'm working on a game that is trying to achieve this terraced-land-effect and I was wondering if you would be interested in connecting to talk about how you achieved it? It's truly lovely. :)
What a lovely game! Its incredible incredible to see games like this done in a gamejam. Love the feeling, music and art of it, whish there were more gameplay mechanics but still it is such a solid idea. Good job!
Nice art style!
Very nice game! My only complatin is the ship controls: The ship keeps circling around on open waters when it could go straight. That and the fact I have to keep klciking to go forward instead of just keeping the button held, is a bit annoying.
The game is very beautiful! I would have liked some UI letting me know that I'm in auto-pilot and that I'm in peace mode. I couldn't find any harbours to get upgrades for my ship, so I turned on auto-pilot. On multiple occasions the ship started to endlessly rotate around a point. It also ran the ship into an island, causing it to get stuck.

Most beautiful game i see for the moment. It's incredible, mechanics are good too. I will past many time on it
Relaxing and pretty ... nice work. The whole athmosphere is great and I love it. Great work! Pathfinding seems to be a bit buggy sometimes but who cares. Its not a game breaker.
It is as chill as it is pretty!
This game is amazing. - Some of the game information would be nice in game, like controls or that there is the possibility to upgrade or change weapons. Not that I found where to upgrade or what other weapons existed, I found what I thought it could be a harbor, but nothing happened there. - The combat is a bit frustrating, everything goes too fast and I need to aim and move to opposite directions. Not easy with only one mouse. - Were this game truly shines is in the exploration department, the world looks stunning and looks varied thanks to color changes. I would like to see a game like this expanded.I realized reading that there is a peaceful mode, well that mode is a 100%. - I almost forgot, the music! Wow!
One of my favorites so far.
Really nice and chill game :D The only issue I had were that the shop would not always register my clicks Minor improvements would probably be needed on pathfinding (the ship would sometimes do a 360 upon assigning a new target up ahead) and collision of the islands^^
Very cool, really enjoyed it. As people have already mentioned the ship controls are a little hit and miss, but also I struggled buying at shops! Maybe there is a minimum number of slaves you can't buy under, but then please make that more clear. Beautiful visuals and music make for a lovely mood!
Wonderful game. Really atmospheric :)
Beautiful game, intersting concept, 5 stars for everything, even though the difficulty seems inconsistent from time to time and some pathfinding problem.
Incredible graphics and mood you have here ! This reminds me a bit of my LD22 entry  I loved the music and the combat system was pretty simple to handle. As the others says the pathfinding is a bit off sometimes. I wish there was more islands to discover haha ! Anyway it was really relaxing to play, solid entry guys !
Loved the art and the mood of the game!
by far one of the best games I have played so far! solid entry love everything about it especially the balancing. I did notice sometimes it didn't register my clicks for movement however and after a while of playing it my frame-rate started to drop. I could see this becoming a full game and it's one i would defiantly purchase good job guys
Wow wasn't expecting to play any games that felt so complete! This is the kind of game that gets developed over several months usually, but it didnt feel rushed or buggy at all. Outstanding atmosphere achieved in-game and you should definitely release it as a full game. Well done!
Woah! The artstyle and music are incredibly well-made. Very well job!
This game is truly awesome and shines the most in it's optic and overall atmosphere
The gameplay itself is pretty solid as well, but the controls feel a bit clunky and sometimes the ship just doesn't go where I want it to go, it feels like the ship has an own mind :D On the harbors I had a hard time buying upgrades, because it only purchased speed or bullet speed after I spam clicked it for a while
But these are just some complaints, other than that it's been a really awesome experience
What a captivating atmosphere! Water and islands graphics are on point. The audio gets you into this calm and smooth sensation while sailing. Outstanding work!
Best game I've played so far. Almost perfect apart from a few complaints about performance and input. The ships goes in circles sometimes and performance degrades over time (GC?) I never thought a game with slavery at its core could be so fun. Great work!
It says mac build. But there is no mac build. I want to play this. Please! :)
"No executables found" in Linux build (through itch installer), seems to be only a Windows exe in the package.
@grllle I'll try to make one shortly @marcmagus Seems like I got confused while zipping, trying to fix that asap
Relaxing, beautiful, and fun. You nailed it.
Absolutely in love with this game.
Beautiful art style! This could work well as a competitive local multiplayer game.
wow, this is really nice to play! the art style is beautiful, especially the use of colours and how they change between all the different islands, and the music is really nice. even without trying to find other ships, just sailing around is really fun - i could play a lot of this!!
Prettiest games so far. Good atmosphere and very relaxing (if you ignore the whole slavery thing). The interface could use some tweaking because the shop is very confusing. Your boat goes nuts if you click on lang too.
Great job.
Amazing visuals, music and mood, I played it while just because I enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. The problem is enemies are few and far between, and I couldnt figure out any way to change weapon (even using scroll wheel) and I couldn't buy? anything at the harbors, trying to click on the icons or hit every keyboard key... Congrats though!
Thank you for submitting your game to be played on my stream!
Once the stream is finished you can find the video here: https://www.twitch.tv/ursagames/videos If you want to know when it was played you can find your game in the queue here: https://tinyurl.com/y5rdokvp
I love this game. Amazing entry for a game jam. I would normally give tips for improving a game, but I can't think of any for this one. Oh.. I sailed for a long time with no encounters.. just when I started to wonder if there was anything, I found a town.
Be cool to see a hard mode that has wind direction.
Wow, the visuals of this game is just stunning, but it's hard to find the enemies, tried to by something at the harbour and I couldn't do it....
The land visuals reminds me of an mobile game that you are a God trying to expand your people territory and so on...
Congratulations on the game
Fantastic game absolutely love everything about it! not sure if its intended but if you get the bullet speed upgrade(many times) it makes the basic weapon go further.
this was such a calming experience...
the game had an abundance of features and the attention to detail was amazing
wish there were more shops, and getting the hang of the game was a bit hard at first, but overall its an absolutely amazing game
It's just so beautiful. Wow. A pleasure for the senses.
Amazing game, it's really impressive how you got so much into the game. And such an experience, beautiful while both relaxing at times and hectic at others. Only issue is that natives would spawn in the air sometimes, a very small gripe really. Still, absolutely great work!
This game is visually stunning. Circle framing, smooth fade-in and out on borders, color schemes are such an eyecandy. I didn't find any harbors and navigation got broken from time to time, but overall it was a pleasure to play. And then I read the description and found out that those logs that I was collecting all the time were actually slaves! They looked like logs, they made log sounds upon pickup, hell, I still believe they are logs! This all slave thing really contradicts the overall style and relaxing feel of the game, but I guess it's just a joke from the developer.
Ok this was fun! I totally forgot the time :D It looks, sounds and feel good! I just wish there would be some kind of compass feature to guide to the nearest harbor. But over all very nice entry!
Really relaxing. The color palette, the music and the low poly aesthetic is really pleasing. I found the combat to be surprisingly gun and polished. It's too bad that fights are kinda short. Overall, really great job. You guys make me jealous.
Beautiful game. So hypnotizing.
Amazing entry, overall excellent in all categories, I jsut missed some sort of map to help navigation
The art style of the game is just stunning. Along with the music it was a very atmospheric experience for me. Game mechanisms were solid and I like that you used just minimal interface - it adds to the exploration aspect. Thank you for this experience!
I love the art style (5 starred), the awesome chill music (5 starred). I guess it didn't really fit the theme which is a really minor gripe compared to what you have here - what seems to be procedurally generated scapes that are lush with color and feels really relaxing. Until I got wiped by a pumped up pirate ship though. Fantastic work and this is a keeper!
It is so pretty.. but also hard as fuck :) ... really well done
Very beautiful and sometims serene. I really liked the game. The different seasons on the islands are stunning and great. The pace is a bit weird, with potentially long stretches of nothing but empty islands, and then dangerous waters with intense cannon fighting. The navigation issues made it a bit more annoying.
Really great feel to the game. It all fit together well, from how everything looked to the control of the ship. It wasn't very challenging once you had a few upgrades, but it was fun to play for a few minutes. The music/sound was also quite good.
Damn the visual is amazing !
Wow that looks so polished. Awesome entry.
Thanks for this game ! The ambiance is amazing, graphics and music are perfect. I think there is too few enemies.
This game is amazing. Really solid entry!
Fantastic art style, like everyone else is saying. The controls felt a little clunky, partly because of the pathfinding or whatever so the boat didn't go exactly where I wanted to the best way it could've. At first I thought the game was a little simple and basic, but then I found the shops and thats when the theme clicked with me. Nothing crazy innovative with that, just taking the theme and using it as expected.
Because of the clunk-ish controls, the inclusion of autopilot and peaceful mode is great. Cool to just watch shit and feel like you're exploring
My 5 stars to the mood. AS it's been said, the game feels really polished, but more than that it's a pleasure to just wander through the world, seeing the landscapes changing the more you go... Loved the "exploration" mode, it's really awesome. Good job !
Wonderful graphics, random generation is awesome, however, could be nuch more entertaining as a game Could not buy anything at the port, and auto-pilot is not worth much, unfortunately
Kept doing those screenshots, though... :)
whats your twitter account if we wanted to follow and see what you do in the future? :)
Really nice atmosphere and wonderful graphics.
There are a few bugs like the boat doing a 360° rotation and sometimes going through walls, but overall it's pretty amazing. Bien joué!
I think this is my favorite game that I've played so far. Super nice vibe, fun fighting, great controls, beautiful, and dope music.
Really loved the game, especially sound and grapics. Great job ;)
Amazing polish on this one! I really love games that look so clean. Awesome mood .. very entertaing
Glad to see this game getting the attention it deserves. Beautiful attention to detail all around. Graphics, sound/music, aesthetic, and the work that went into the game site, LD page, etc. all creates a very beautiful and minimalist package for a fun and unique game. I hope you'll continue to develop this as it does seem to have the ability to become something great. Congrats to the whole team!
Definitely one of my favorite games of the jam so far. The overall aesthetic is out of the park. The graphics are absolutely stunning and I love the different biomes you include, and the ship models look great. The music is also great - gives off a kind of RimWorld-y vibe but works great in your game. The autopilot sound seems very familiar though - wondering where you guys got that from. Overall, a really amazing game, with good mechanics minus some occasional pathfinding issues. The only real issue I had was that it runs pretty poorly on my Macbook Pro, which is somewhat surprising but also somewhat not given that it's Unity.
Amazing, incredible, I'm speechless
As people have mentioned above the graphics are great, it seems like your ship movement starts to figure out where to go by starting at 270 degrees and then figuring it out from there which can be jarring.
The biggest issue I have is the subject matter, I understand that the theme lends itself quite well to using slavery as a core story element but I think that the issue lies in the approach of addressing an issue with as much history and human suffering as slavery. Those aspects aren't addressed at all in the gameplay, or the game at all as far as I could tell which is a real shame because games are a fantastic way to explore those difficult topics. I look to Spec Ops: The Line and Papers Please as great examples of games that look at different aspects of our society and explore them in a meaningful and tasteful way. Even in peaceful mode you still enslave the island natives, the counter doesn't show up but they fly to your boat. I feel that was a huge missed opportunity.
Thank you for entering this, I hope learned as much making this as I did making the game I worked on.
Fantastic audio and visuals, I really enjoyed just sailing around in peaceful mode and taking in the scenery.
It's a good game. Real good. The theme didn't fit that well in my opinion, but, great game nevertheless.
Really beautiful
Just lovely. Really like the changes in color scheme as I move around. Prettiest game I've seen thus far. Would love a little info about the tools you used to create this.
Gotta agree with @BabyKing about the subject matter, and the missed opportunity, but I was able to enjoy the game regardless.
One complaint! The white cursor would get lost in the white part of the screen, and I'd panic for a moment that my mouse was gone and I couldn't mind it.
I played the game before reading description, and I was like "They were SLAVES?? I thought they were ship planks all along! Mind = Blown"
This is the most beautiful game I've seen so far, and the peaceful auto pilot mode was very soothing.
I don't like the manual control of the ship though, the navigation is very unpredictable and hard to understand. And I feel the progression should be lengthened a bit. In my experience by the time you buy 1 or 2 powerups you're practically the god of the sea already.
Overall I love it a lot (4.5/5), but more as a piece of art than a game <3
Besides the bugs for mouse controls and with movement, the game looks stunning, the music and ambience keeps you wanting to calmly explore more. So if i just turn on peaceful mode and turn on autopilot, it can almost be as a relaxing visual therapy.
One other thing though, i don't see how the theme fits here that much. Otherwise you've done a really good job.
Wow, wow, wow! How is it, this game is not already on Steam or any other Store?
Really gorgeous and fun game. I might have preferred more direct control of the ship, it had a tendency to spin weirdly. The autopilot also seemed to get very confused on occasion. Minor complaints though, I really enjoyed the game as it is, and even without the combat it was a very serene landscape to cruise around.
Like a few other people have said I found the slave thing a bit odd, and thought I was collecting planks of wood, which made sense in my mind as constituting the "life" or "health" of my ship, whereas being destroyed because I run out of slaves doesn't make much sense to me. On the other hand, trading planks of wood for weapons probably wouldn't make a lot of sense either...
The visuals are awesome. Life is Currency -> Slaver simulation. I find it a little bit too straight forward and the role of slaves confusing.
I have nothing to say, just perfect
So good. Everything except the ship control was amazing! I liked the concept of the slaves literally being your life as well as your currency. It's a call back to more ancient times where the crew of a ship was comprised of slaves. You had to treat and feed them tolerably well, or they'd become sick or die, and you'd be stranded without means of travel. If you had gone with galleys for the ships' designs, it would have reinforced this idea.
The slave ships used to transport people to the americas were quite different. Terrible conditions, and very high mortality rate, they were only interested in how much money they could make by packing as many slaves they could into each trip.
Wonderful game!The art is impeccable!!
Amazingly relaxing perfect jam game... well done
What a visuals! I loved it! When auto pilot is on sometimes gets bugged but it's the only problem I found! Nice work guys!
How the hell u did this in few days??? The graphics and audio were just incredible. However the controls sometimes felt really bad, and there was a point in the middle of a fight where I can't control my ship. Anyways, I'm really impressed.
Edit: Sometimes there is too litle action and I saw a shop only once(maybe I didn't see it, so make it more viable)...
Amazing graphics, nice concepts and great audio, now the bad things: -at a certain point the projectiles just don't appear anymore -sometimes the slaves cannot be taken from the islands -can't control cannon in auto-pilot, it just stays there glithcing around -sometimes the player's boat ignores the collisions and compenetrates inside isles But overall a good game
Nice art, the game is a bit slow on my computer, so hard to play during fight but it's cool to explore the world in peaceful mode.
This was great! I wish you could hold left-click to keep moving instead of clicking each time and that we could repair our ship at the harbor too so we don't die suddenly
Well this is just professional work. How that was done within 72h I have no clue. Amazing! Naval battles were a lot of fun! I did encouter two bugs. Sometimes my ship would just do donuts (manual, not autopilot mode) and sometimes the harbors don't display the prices for objects. Should've opted out of audio if you got music from purple planet. Otherwise just amazing.
@mrtnldm I believe the music should fall under derivative work as it as been quite modified from the source material (cuts, speed, pitch, loop, ambient sounds, etc), thanks for the kind words !
This entry is very impressive (although I guess you guys are kinda cheating since you're an actual game studio :P ). The artistic direction is absolutely gorgeous. The animations are great. The music and sound effect are very good too. The sum of all of this sets a consistent and great mood to the game. I guess the fun factor is the weak point, although the combat is good and works well. Anyway the game seems more like it's aiming for relaxing than action packed.
This is one of, if not the best entry I've played so far, congratulations !
Oh man as much as i would like to love this game - i love the aesthetics so much - it's unplayable for me :( my macbook pro has serious performance issues with this it and the pathfinding is doing loops all the time. Bummer, i need i proper rig
I had a lot of fun playing this game, everything's really polished, the graphics are great, the sounds are awesome, very well done.
The minimalist design of this game is beautiful. The game is serene and peaceful (until you run into some big ships). Overall great game. The collecting of slaves is hard and a pause menu could help too.
nice mood, music, art, graphics, feel, shooting, and game. Great feel. It's a laid back chill kind of game. :-) until those boats blow you up. :D
Gorgeous game! I love it!
Beautiful experience, one of the few games that looks absolutely finished and ready to ship. It's amazing, seriously.
Really neat mood, I liked the music and punchy sound effects. The autopilot mode was a great extra touch. Nice work overall!
Great feel! Great world! I got pummeled by the big ships...but it has a good challenge then! :)
The mood is the best! Graphics and music are superb! Well done!
I love the art style! Any software / tips for creating aesthetics like these?
This is such a beautiful and pleasant to play game. Every element of the design is gorgeous and well crafted. The interpolation bug with the ship when you click too far away/behind an island is an opportunity for improvement, but I'm very impressed with this overall. Great job!
This is a rather good game. The aesthetic really seemed to clash with the "selling people for guns" thing. I assume they were originally going to be rum barrels or something before the theme was announced lol. The damage upgrade could maybe be nerfed a little bit. At my first port i got the broadside cannon (which was fun to use) with a couple damage upgrades. From then on I one shot everything. But yeah, the theme vs vibe mismatch was a bit strong.
Where can I buy this game? hahaha Amazing entry guys!!!!! I enjoyed so much the gameplay, the art style is amazing too <3
There are some bugs with the movement and the precision in the aiming that keep anoying me while fighting other ships but everything else is awesome.
The game is really beautiful, the palettes, the music and the mood fits perfectly well to make a relaxing game. So good job on that !
However as someone said in another comment, I don't think such matters as slavery should be treated this lightly. If you were trying to denounce it, a game jam game focused on gameplay was clearly insufficient to do it well. If not, maybe it would be time to think about how, as game developers, what we develop impacts the world around us. I also understand how the ludum theme could lead you to this idea but why not make a game where you free slaves instead ?
Really nice art work! The most beautiful game I have seen in LD44! I love it!
Visuals and music really made the mood for me, it was perfect. In fact I was instantly drawn to your game after I saw just one screenshot.
I liked how you guided me in start by having just empty space and need to try out the controls. That’s really nice way of teaching the game mechanics to player. But after enemies were introduced the gameplay became bit hard too fast. I wish that same kind of guidance was used here too. Maybe ramp the difficulty bit slower? Those bigger ships were really hard. And on my second play I realized that there were collectables on the islands. They were kinda hard to spot, especially in frenzy of the combat. And I never found any harbours.
All in all perfect atmosphere, everything was nicely done and well polished. Amazing entry altogether!
so beautiful! the center area is a very good idea, I love the boat trail as well, any hint how it is done ?
Beautiful game - excellent polish and lovely art style and music and exploration.
I am going to second what others have been saying above regarding slavery - I can totally appreciate how it relates to the theme - but I think it's just a very sensitive subject matter for a game jam, particularly when it's presented in such a trivialising way. For example, aliens invading and enslaving the human race would be less problematic than a stylised depiction of an idealised swashbuckling perspective on the Atlantic Slave Trade. I know you're not endorsing Slavery™️ with this game, but I think it's a missed opportunity - we should use our powers as game makers for good!
Yeah otherwise completely excellent work! - looking forward to seeing your next LD entry!
Brilliant game! Excellent and really fun. At first I didn't understand the controls, so ended up being on autopilot somehow, but once I learned how to play properly it was great. Very good work!
Epic game! Art and music are really beaultiful and create an atmosphere. The gameplay is fine.
Superb graphics but for some reason it was really laggy and it was getting worse over time (I have quite new Macbook Pro).
Simple and amazing. Could be sailing there for a long time. It is great to see that you have involved even the non violent mode! Great stuff!
Beautiful game! I loved the art, feel, simple controls, sound design... It's all really well made!
I'm not sure if there's an end goal to the game... I wish it didn't reset you to 0 after death (bit too punishing and demotivating). And finally, it's missing bullet trail feedback once my bullet speed exceeds a certain value. Other than those things I absolutely adore this game and I sure had a great time playing!
Very pretty visuals - love the pastel layer islands and round vignette - and the models are great!
The controls themselves at a bit difficult at times: shooting and moving at the same time is a bit of a different combo than usual. The big boats are rather nasty in the beginning too :P
With such a peaceful/pretty look the 'slave' mechanism feels a bit out of place. Perhaps picking up cast-aways? :D
Love the visuals and especially the fog-of-war style viewport. Makes exploring feel good. Would have preferred WASD for moving the boat just so I can be quicker on the dodge during naval battles.
Good graphisms
Graphics and the game feel are on a very high level, good job guys! I mentioned 2 spontaneous bugs: 1- When the boat keeps spinning instead of going to desired position at times 2- The water is on top of the boat sometimes at the start of the game.
Its cool and fun, but when you start out I found it hard to rise my score(slaves) up before getting killed Maybe in future if you have time, some kind of tutorial with maybe some tips on the game would be cool too. Also additional more fluent movement would be preffered like the guy above said, during fights, its hard to control everything with only a mouse, just an option of WASD there would be great.
Generally speaking I enjoyed it!
The game is impressive as it feels both simple and very polished (e.g. having an auto pilot feature, pathfinding, the fog of war effect). Here are the issues I met:
- It's difficult to see the population on islands. Maybe that's intended, but often I felt like I was only encountering empty islands when there was actually tiny dots of roughly the same color to gather. It's mostly a problem on your first run, since there's nothing indicating what you should do. - I quickly seemed to run out of things to do. I enabled auto pilot which led me to bigger enemy ships, which is pretty cool, but I still couldn't really see the objective. I never saw any ports where I could trade my "currency"; collecting and battling feel good but there doesn't seem to be benefits? - Maybe add an HP bar to the ship? Or something to indicate permanent damage (smoke, etc.), if it is permanent. - The ship spins around once when asked to go straight ahead. - Edit: I kept playing so that I could find a port. They're very rare so I think people might miss them, but the mechanism is nice. Beware of font sizes though: it's difficult to see item names (in white!) when not playing fullscreen.
Wow, this is quite a gorgeous game that really sucks you in with the amazing visuals and audio. That being said, it seems tone deaf to make it about the slave trade as the game is so casual about without commenting on it or anything. It could just as easily have been that you are exchanging cargo without all the baggage that comes with slavery. I really liked the look and all the effort that went into the whole experience, but it is hard to get past what I find to be an unwise choice of theming.
everything works together perfectly, great job!
Love the design and aesthetic! The world is excellent and sailing through the biomes adds some nice variety. I did find it a bit weird that the bullets from enemy ships disappear when you vanquish them. I'd love to know how you implemented the scrolling world.
I love the concept of this. Even though the premise to tie it to the theme was a stretch and kind of terrible, I found myself strangely relaxed while playing. The music and sfx are superb. I love how get glimpses of what's in the distance. It's kind of like a reversed fog of war in my mind. Good job!
Nice game like the idea even if the subject is more problematic thsn such a relaxing game should have. also would have liked the boat to be more responsive.
Amazing. Love your game art. 😊 Fun to play but a bit laggy on Mac.
Very beautiful and relaxing game. I love it!
I get a slight Sunless Skies feeling from controlling this game.
Looks great, interesting visuals.
ok, this is amazing, the ambient is so well achieved. A friend sent me the link and I was pleased with the quality until i saw it was also a submission to the jam, and said out loud "are you kidding me??" because i could not believe you achieved such a polished style in 3 days. Awesome work!
Such a beautiful and relaxing game! Really love how the terrain looks and how each zone have different effects such as the snowy area or the rainbow area. Also the graphics, especially the water wake remind me so much of Wind Waker which was really awesome to see. The music was extreamly chill as well. It wasn't too repetitive or too much so it felt just right.
I think the only thing that was tough was finding the upgrade ports. Was looking around quite a bit for those but couldn't seem to find them very well.
Keep up the great work, would love to see this game continued!
Here is a video of me playing the game the other day: [Seaway by Constantin's Team](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/420803800)
I'm very impressed by this entry! Very pretty graphics, nice music, and fun gameplay - though I do wish keyboard controls were possible, as I wanted some tight seafights haha. Especially as your weapons have a certain range, getting close to bigger ships while maneuvering was a heck of a challenge. You've delivered some amazing quality though - cheers!
Mood is amazing, the sound is on point and the visuals are stunning, I have nothing critical to add here. Well done!
This is an amazing experience with mechanics that kept me playing for quite a while. The unique graphics and sounds/music go together well and add to the experience. This is very likely the best Jam game for this compo period. Phenominal work!
Crazy good game! I played forever! So fun and just an overall great game! You should totally publish this and its amazing to think that it was made in 72 hours. The only thing it that I wish that there were more ports.
It's a very nice game. But it's so frustrating that you can not move by keeping the left click down ...
Very nice. The visuals and sounds were amazing, and the gameplay was fun. I found the movement a bit weird. It made it hard to avoid damage while trying to shoot at enemies. Maybe having it be WASD or something would have made it more enjoyable for me, but overall pretty good!
Wow was really blown away playing this game. extremely polished and a ton of fun!
I love this game. Great job :)
awesome, really cool auto generated world. Every islands never felt like duplicates and they all looked really good.
A really lovely clean style and fun gameplay! Great jam
I like the game idea. But can you make it so that you can move your boat by holding down left click.
This game is quite relaxing to play, music is great, graphics too :)
Pretty relaxing game, i love the graphics and the music.
Beautiful, upgrade system simple and nice. What is not to like?
realy cool and geourges graphics
One of the greatest games of the LD44. Really enjoyable and fun to play. The movement sometimes felt a little bit weird but I played it several times and really liked it. Nice work thx for sharing
Hello. You did an amazing entry. I don't understand exactly if you created this project before the GDWC and you promote it here (it's not a critiscism) or if you present your LudumDare entry at the GDWC? I have nothing against that, I would like just to understand. Can you rate other games too? Respectfully your karma is totally unbalanced. Overall, the aesthetic is gorgeous and mood quiet. Well done ++
En lisant vos noms/prénoms je me demande si nous ne sommes pas compatriotes :)
Je vous souhaite le meilleur ++
It's really relaxing.
@geckoo1337 The game was entirely made during this LD and we entered the GDWC a few days after the jam finished
Absolutly beautiful and peaceful, thank you.
Great job. Wow
It just looks beautiful. Great atmosphere.
@Constantin Thank you for your answer. I wish you the best for the GDWC ++
Pleasant, satisfying, tactile, interesting. The world is beautiful and encourages exploring. I've seen Moonstones, Pyramids, European architecture, Frozen tribes and even Rainbow Islands. Growing powerful was very satisfying but sadly the ship did not grow with the power we gained which was tiny bit disappointing. The size of the ship could've been connected to capacity. At the end there I had a thousand people on my little boaty. If you add a goal you may have an amazing game for pc or smartphones. Visually I disliked the rough edge on the circle I'd have preferred a smooth gradient to white. Overall it was a great experience and after a while even though the boat sometimes swirled around weirdly it was controllable and pleasant to wander around.
Awesome graphics, relaxing, and engaging ...
You should invest in your atmosphere and ambience, it's so fucking good the aesthetics you've reached ... enhance and bet on that ... you could improve the field of view mask by adding an animated noisy mask to look like fog and blur/distort the silhouettes ...
There's a lack of some seaguls or flying birds, the sound is pleasing and you could add more by maybe adding some choking waters, wood of the hull creaking and squeaking, wind blowing and seaguls ...
The sfx sounds a bit weird because none of them end with something being drawned or bubles or water splashes...
Using the mouse to attack and move isn't so intuitie, you could switch to something like moving the boat with AWSD while using the mouse to aim....
I like the UPGRADE HUD ... it's minimal and clean and also fits the art ... but it's too small and hard to read ... make it even bigger (maybe);
Adding some weather effects would be awesome and even better if a day/night cycle ... your game remembers me of sunsless sea and sunless skyes ... good job ... it's a piece of art!
Beautiful game. But I think the theme can be deeper while it has so wonderful UI and mechanic:)
Epic art style, loved it! Feels a bit like the good old pirates game... Great job team!
When I listened to the atmospheric music and cruised the bright islands, I felt like a daring explorer! If you continue to develop this, I didn't understand the gameplay of the crystals, and on my laptop without a mouse, I didn't know how to change weapons. Still, I enjoyed sailing. The way the boat turns felt usable yet interesting. Shooting with the right button on a trackpad was a bit awkward.
Excellent execution! Visually looks fantastic, the circle of vision is a great artistic choice and the different climates makes it believable. My only critique is that the upgrade menu is a little hard to read. Very impressive!
Cool graphics!
One Concept I Liked: The game's graphics and audio meshed well to create a relaxing mood, or atmosphere.
One Concept I Disliked: The theme of this game jam should have been used more adequately in this game.
Yeah this was pretty amazing! Relaxing music, amazing graphics, very fun to just sail around.
Am on a touchpad so could not change weapons, and would have been great to have a keyboard fire button as well. The fights did have a tendency to become a bit too chaotic, but maybe that was due to me getting closer to the enemies then I should have anyway!
I enjoyed that. I loved the audio and the graphics are very good. The quiet background music is very good, the art is simple and beautiful. Interesting design choices, colors, this minimalist vibes, blend nicely together and the interface is clean. I had some problem with the controls and I don't know if I understood how autopilot works, but it's a great game, captivating and fun.
