Dang this was definitely one of the most fun games I have played yet for LD42. Only complaints, sometimes it felt difficult to place boxes on the bottom of the shelf and it was hard to know when I was about to receive a complaint.
cool graphics, sub par concept. Good work with the concept though
@fireslash thanks for the feedback.You cannot drop boxes off in other zones, it would be easier to see that if we provided some feedback. The magnet is strong, I disagree with you that the movement is confusing/frustrating (love to get more feedback on this from you) but yea we know it is tough to push the boxes without the magnet. The hitboxes were tough to figure out with all of the rotating of the boxes so to simplify it we just used circles to detect collisions which feels a little strange.

I feel like it needs one more game mechanic. At this point you kind of just rely on getting a bomb when the AI doesn't. I guess it just feels very RNG based. Anyways good work, it plays smoothly, looks great, and the audio is nice too. Hopefully this LD was a good leanring experience, I bet you do something really cool next time.

@mtanton thanks for the feedback. We were a bit worried that people wouldn't play the game long enough to discover that mechanic. Did you beat all 6 levels?

Looked nice and I appreciate the effort you put into the beginning story thing. 2 things about gameplay. It seemed I could not target units with bulldozers and that the enemy buildings didn't really do anything. So it came down to will my units beat their units and then if you won the bulldozers helped you knock over the buildings faster. It would be nice if the buildings/bulldozers provided some sort of value before you killed the enemy units.

liked the game. Could not figure out how to beat level 8 because I could not get high enough to hit the second bullet. Felt like I was missing a mechanic here.
Had a bug on the 2nd level where the humans didn't move and more didn't spawn so I won pretty easily. Also towers seemed tough, it would be cool to have a defensive ability to outplay the towers.
Liked the graphics, sheep sounds made me laugh. would have been nice to have some hotkeys. Felt difficult to control the units. At one point my dog got off the screen and I guess I needed him to get to the finish line so I lost.
Would have been nice to not use right shift. God damn sticky keys. Should probably just disable that.
Really like the directional audio. What was that eyeball following me though?
The online version had a bug. You should probably remove the online version if it is not going to work.
Fun game, looks really cool. The shadows look really cool. Tree hit boxes are a little wonky. Would have been nice to have the enemies have collisions with the trees. Also in the web browser version it seemed like there was a bug where I could not do key inputs and mouse inputs at the same time. Sometimes my movement would get locked in one direction. If you wanted to keep developing this it would be easy to add some objectives that you needed to go to, some bosses, or some new terrain elements.
Clicking felt funky. An alternative might be to give your guy the button and let the space bar swing it.
Could have used some background music, I loved the little screen that comes up when you push a lever, I found that super cool.
Going forward adding more diverse enemies would be cool.
awesome, really cool auto generated world. Every islands never felt like duplicates and they all looked really good.
Would have been nice to add some feedback, so you could tell how many times you had to shoot one of those critters, felt like I shot some 10 times and then they would still eat my baby.
Really liked the idea, I wish there was some sort of comback mechanic, i got bankrupted one level but had 2 guys survive, I was able to continue playing keep at most 4 guys a live so I would start the next round at 12 points but would always end at 0 and save a couple to go to the next round
