Yeah i agree @hilvon there wasn't much gameplay, because well... there was no time, initial idea (which will be added later of course) is that the player has to prepare for the infinite waves and sacrifice the resources given in a smart way to endure the waves as long as possible. This also includes things like different unit types, defences and other stuff.
@fluffi lol the gate perspective is weird because it wasn't made for that perspective in the first place xD. I rotated the image to make it look horizontal. The reason swords swing too much is because that's the only animation there is which was the idle animation. Due to time there was no chance to add more stuff and to add waves. So i just wanted to post the general idea at least, hence i just placed one enemy "waves". xD Thanks for the reply either way though

Overall i like the concept of the game, but it gets a bit boring after some time, Also there was no controls in the game or the description so don't forget to add that. but nice job though!
I really love the concept and the game! It keeps me playing again and again, the only thing i would say is that when you die and you have to start from the beginning gets a bit tedious later on, and maybe a number to show how many hearts you need for next resurrection would be nice. Good job on the game though!
Besides the bugs for mouse controls and with movement, the game looks stunning, the music and ambience keeps you wanting to calmly explore more. So if i just turn on peaceful mode and turn on autopilot, it can almost be as a relaxing visual therapy.
One other thing though, i don't see how the theme fits here that much. Otherwise you've done a really good job.
I loved the concept of the game! The irony of wanting to stay the only human, but eventually you succumb to power and slowly join the machine. You end up being a hypocrite to yourself, and i was always curious what the next upgrade is.
As far as gameplay goes, i think the space given is a bit too small but at the start it was hard, though, when i got an upgrade everything became much easier and easier so maybe the more upgrades you get the more space but also monsters you see.
Good job on the game though!
Overall it was fun game to play, at first i was confused what to do, but eventually i figured it out. Didn't get that high of a score though ;/ only around 10k
The art was cute and inviting to play, and i really liked the cutscene at the beginning. The only problem i see is that there are no proper instructions. Well maybe i just didn't understand.

(Oh and, i just realized that there's a bug with a camera, when i played it, i didn't see the nodes on left and right)
Overall i see a decent potential of the game, however the main problems right now is that it's too unbalanced to properly enjoy it. If i get anywhere close to a corner when there are a lot of archers, i will get pushed out of the map and will get stuck there. I understand the mechanic of getting souls, but it really feels too hard sometimes to get your blood back while there are knights and archers literally next to you, so then what happenes is that you can't even fight back.
Otherwise the game is pretty fun, but as i said, the balancing is what makes it less fun D: Good job though!
The idea is pretty cool - a 3D remake of asteroid, however there are some problems with such idea, one is that in the original game, the asteroids wrap around the level through boundaries, which in this case we don't see, not only that but rotating is much slower as well which makes it much harder to play the game.
On the other hand those are more of minor issues, the game would be even more fun with faster and more resoponsive movement. Good job on the game though!

Yeah i agree on the difficulty part, more balancing and tweaking is deffinetly needed, It's hard for us developers of the game to really understand the balance sometimes, because as you know we played all the different versions of the game and it confuses sometimes.
But I hope you can enjoy the game more after we properly balance it later on :smile:

@falsebracket I am glad you liked the art ;D, our artist worked hard on it, and yeah spikes definetly need some more work, in fact were just changing their look of it! Controls might change a bit as well to make it more appropriate, thanks for playing though :smile:
@black-flag Thanks we all tried the art and effects to work well together, i am happy to hear that it looks good. Procedural generation took some time and frustration but eventually i managed to pull it off. Some more variation is needed though :V
@alex-kpojb We sort of inclined on a more challenging gameplay :P The warning messages actually were pretty fun to make, good thing some of us speak Russian, so we were able to translate it more appropriately.

The buttons indeed need some changes, we are working on an antispam so that you can't just always press them. And we are actually thinking of making those bars more meaningful. I also like your shield suggestion, We didn't think of that, but yeah We might add some upgrades or pick-ups that you can get in the game.

I loved the concept of the game, the only thing i could say is bad is that the difference in difficulty levels are too big, i played on normal and it felt more like hard. Also maybe more health using abilities would make it better.
It was pretty fun playing it otherwise, i figured out that you can bunnyhop and then also use shotgun to accelerate yourself pretty quickly, i don't think that's an intended feature, but it was cool using it. Kind of felt like quake a bit.

was a bit confusing at fist, also the mouse aim is broken when aiming behind buildings it seems, The goal is not really obvious, also some UI is broken in the menu (too small) also some balanding is needed.
Otherwies good job, the models look decent and so do animations. The gameplay would be more fun if there woudl be more response when player shoots also maybe if enemies had a better AI. Good job nonetheless!
Overall i liked the game, the only issue i see is that there's too much bloom and it's just hard to see the enemies, plus the level could have been a bit better maybe, like some cover or something.
It was fun playing though! just hard to get the max life up ;/ or maybe i am too bad. Good job on the game!
The mechanics felt decent though i wasn't sure about the enemies, or how they attacked, or if i was even getting damages. Also the goal of the game was very vague soi just walked around aimlessly.
Maybe if you put more time into gameplay, the game would have been more engaging good job on the Jam though!
Overall it was a nice game, I liked the feeling of progression and contant pressure of life costs for upgrades, would i dare to upgrade? That being said, it would have been even better if there were more things to upgrade. I reached level 15 and then the updates were the same, so maybe something like further melee reach would be nice, or other cool abilities.
Art is understandably hard to make alone for a Compo, though it was a bit hard to tell sometimes where my character was facing, so i had to guess a bit when fighting. AI wasn't much of a challenge, as i could stay above them or below them and they wouldn't move, i could just freely hit them then.
But i love the concept though! If you continue the development and add more things while working on some sprites, i would definetly come back to the game to play again!
Overall i liked the concept of the game and enjoyed playing except for some parts, those would be the combat and repeatedly dying without a reason.
I understand the sacrifice part of it but then it just felt... tedious to fight, not really that much fun. I understand this is compo, but maybe you should have put more time into player controller and fighting mechanics. Maybe you should have done a Jam to add that stuff.
Otherwise a good job overall! Maybe you just needed more time that's all.
I enjoyed playing the game, it was quite fun. The art was so cute and it went well together with the "I am going to take your soul" pressure that you have. After first time dying, i fugured out how to play and then stayed alive for like 12 minutes untill i accidentally pressed twice on buy and died xD
Technically i could play forever if the prices would never reach higher than the sell out price. Otherwise i really love the game, the only thing missing is the music and audio. I understand you had not time, i really wish there would be something though D: (you could have taken some free music and referenced the authors, i think that would have been better than nothing, but since you opted out of audio i won't rate you on it)
I would love to see your future games including Ludum Dare, if you have an itch.io, i will surely follow you for upcoming titles. Good luck in your other games and continue the good job.
Wow, haven't seen a game like this in a while during a Ludum Dare, and a Compo at that!
First of all, i love the simplistic design that you made, it's clean, consistent, and doesn't hurt the eye. The effects and sounds fit very well, they almost blended with the music, bfxr came in handy too i see :P
The gameplay was fun and not too challenging, except for the last part where i think it should've been a bit slower when you die.
I loved the littlbe pieces of extra levels where you can collect the music parts, it made me want to replay the game because of it, music itself was pretty good too, pleasant and ambient.
You've simply done a good job, well done!
I general I enjoyed the game, starting from an empty house is a unique idea.
What I like:
- I liked the little details that were in the game such as the time in the clock actual changing and items having different weights. - The characters were unique with their one quirks and that added to the atmosphere. - There were different radios which were quite cool, the comedic house was quite funny xD, I felt the game dev soul right there ;D. - There were a decent amount of items that you could find which was interesting to find. - The map was quite decently big which made it interesting to explore with the previous points. - I liked the fact that you could make a quite unique house and almost all the objects could be picked up.
What I didn't like:
- When you die you restart from the beginning, even though it's somewhat fair, that's what prevented me from ultimately not finishing the game. - There was a lack of sounds of punching and getting punched, picking up and placing things down etc. - The combat was a bit laggy and at some places, it made it quite unneeded as IMO i think the game would be more fun as a stealth/stealing game not a fighting game with 2 buttons. - The camera was a bit too small thus I was at times losing my directions. - There wasn't a particular challenge for fighting or stealing the items, only repetitiveness which could be replaced by something more fun and dynamic. - The doors were quite confusing and weird when they were vertically placed. - The objects lacked collision thus it didn't really feel as I was building "something".
What you could add/improve:
- Add a small pin to your house which would show you the direction of your house where ever you are. - Make the doors properly connect to the walls to avoid confusion of the colliders. - Add some better way to place the objects, like a snap to a position or something to give more structure to your house.
Overall a really good game IMO, there are just some things you might need to rework, but to be honest, I can see this becoming a small game that you can finish and maybe even post on steam. It just lacks polish and proper features, extended gameplay and mechanics.

I loved the voice acting and the simplistic atmposhpere, you actually tricked me by saying "It's not one of those games with multiple endings..." And i didn't believe you so i knocked all the white boxes out just just for the hell of it, well nothing happened of course XD.
The only thing that was really missing is the boss feed back, i only heard him in pain once and that's it. I only realized that i need to keep spamming after multiple tries.
Otherwise great game!
(You could even extend it and make it a full fledged game for steam imo)
The game looks quite good, i loved the art style.
However it was a bit confusing what the purpose of the gameplay was, i as collecting acorns and droplets but that was about it, the platformer wasn't that fun neither was the collecting.
Good job overall though! I am sure you will do even better next time.
I quite enjoyed the gane, i can't really find any downsides to be honest.
The only thing i could think of is that it was slightly underwhelming but when you die you just try again. If there was a bit more content with using all of the powers with some better controls (maybe using the mouse and shift/ctrl to decide which ability is used).
But otherwise, really good game I am looking forward to what you will be making in the future ;D
I loved the graphics, but it seemed some of the generation was a bit laggy for me, though that wasn't much of an issue. What made the game unesseceraly harder is the "slidey" movement when you collect materials.
In my opinion you could have removed the building part as the whole game is pretty much collecting the materials.
Overall a good entry, i wish you best of luck for all your next games as well.

The game is way to confusing and hard to play, there's no sound guidance or stripes or anything, very misleading.
Kind of an intresting concept, however the questions i had no idea how to answer ;/ but that's just me. Nice idea overall though!
The innovation is certainly good, combining card game and shoot emβ up is quite a good idea. The game plays smoothly except for one part where your cards constantly finish, other then that the game is pretty good.

I guite love the mechanics! i think music is good enough for this.
Overall the game is quite fun,dancing is quite a "incompatitable" coombination with shoot em up, However the game is quite hard to play as i have to keep my eyes on the line below...

Yesm, poeple are being confused about the combat it seems, i think we need to emphasize the fact that you need to attack or not attack depending on moral choices.(such as killing basketballer).
@szabe Well i know it doesn't suit the choices, however this just reflects the person that playes the game.Such as being able to choose between kiiling or not killing a person that you're scared of.

Hello everyone! We all deeply value and appreciate your feedback and all the votes you've done to evaluate our game.
As much as we loved to make this game, we are also enlightened about our mistakes and features that we could have done better,without you this wouldn't happen of course.
But hey, that's not our only game and we're also in WIP for another game, for now however, i can just say the name, no more no less. Sadly though i cant give you ETC, and in fact we may publish some other games before that.

This is quite intresting coombination! And it has some potential too! there are some bugs but who doesnt have em ;/ Anyway i suggest you actually continue making this game and even polish it/improve it and make it into a proper game.
