Nice work guys. I like your idea. We also make our original. Mind to check it out: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/daxua

2018-04-24 12:11

Very nice work. Maybe you should have use the lego style to all 3D models

obachuka 2018-04-24 17:19

Wow this is actually a really clever idea. I think it could work very well with some puzzle elements as well. With polish it could end up being a very good shooter game with a lot of thinking and strategy.

yaniv 2018-04-24 20:46

Thank you

sammy6 2018-04-24 23:15

This is really cool! great idea!

svenfrankson 2018-04-24 23:19

Quite an interesting concept, thank you !

kaiomoi 2018-04-24 23:24

Really fun. Simple and efficient.

seanale 2018-04-24 23:32

Wow I love this idea! It really makes you think, like you made a super simple yet complex puzzle to figure out.

dkdwrek 2018-04-24 23:36

Nice idea! Makes for an interesting challenge

nina 2018-04-24 23:44

Very original! Shooting controls seem a little stiff but otherwise the game is nice!

ango 2018-04-25 01:37

i really like this game, fit the theme perfectly. the combination of dice and tank has so much fun. thank you

diego-escalante 2018-04-25 01:56

Original concept! I like the aspect of having to solve little positional puzzles under pressure by the timings of other objects.

dan-violet-sagmiller 2018-04-25 06:46

couldn't try it . Game Jolt is trying to do a video ad first, but it won't move. :(

tgiant 2018-04-25 06:52

Nice idea. Good job.

shelvid 2018-04-25 06:59

Very unique idea, well combined together.. really interesting entry, well done!

dankar 2018-04-25 07:02

Wow. Great idea! I wish I'd thought of something like this... :)

gumboot 2018-04-25 07:03

The concept is super clever! Was super neat to try to plan out my strategies ahead of time. Eventually though there were too many enemies to think about so I just powered through to the end.

serpentworks-games 2018-04-25 07:10

Clever idea! I with there was some sound though (played on the WebGL version).

goplite 2018-04-25 07:15

Good entry. I guess it's puzzle + shooter? I like how you can become better at this by getting used to placement of numbers on the dice.

iluvatar 2018-04-25 07:16

5/5 Innovation from me! I loved it! It was such fun and interesting. Something I've never played before. I wish there would be a full time game of this, with hundreds of levels, because I would play this thing all day long. One of my definitive favourites this LD! :)

pebkac 2018-04-25 07:23

Nice game! It's a pretty original concept. My die failed to shoot after a while though, and there is no feedback on your health as you crash against enemies. Also, let me harp on my [pet peeve](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/diner-dive/public-service-announcement-escape)...

yaniv 2018-04-25 07:24

Thank you all It's really nice to know you've enjoyed it

codekoto 2018-04-25 07:27

Woah the idea is pretty nice and gameplay is quite unique art is simple though but good.

shohs 2018-04-25 07:47

Very innovative idea! I had a lot of fun playing this - good job!

mrmordem 2018-04-25 07:48

Love the idea, really fun game. Maybe You should have used the lego style throughout the game I think. Nice work ;)

royur 2018-04-25 08:08

cool idea. no audio :(

palsina 2018-04-25 08:08

My brain hurts playing it, but this is genius! Very clever concept.

artur-hawkwing 2018-04-25 08:11

Cool idea, I especailly like the unique strategy of the game. The only thing I think it could use would be some audio

plopsis 2018-04-25 08:26

Won't start on gamejolt

jk5000 2018-04-25 08:53

A very interesting little game, that is okay fun to play. Some music and a bit better graphics could have made this into an even better game.

chrissx2 2018-04-25 09:14

Really great idea!

jeffchen 2018-04-25 15:53

Cool idea!Nice work!

smbe19 2018-04-25 21:23

Nice game. Very creative idea and well executed.

the-icy-one 2018-04-25 21:26

It's actually amazing how immediately clear the aim of the game was just from your stage design, nice work with that.

johnnyr 2018-04-25 21:28

Interesting idea. I'll never see dice the same way as before. Hahahaha

lerg 2018-04-25 21:31

Can't load HTML5 version.

venny 2018-04-25 21:38

What a cool concept, this could definitely go a long way with some more work put into it! It'd be nice if it was clearer how many times you can get hit

teklarit 2018-04-25 21:54

Simple and cool idea! Very nice game! 5 star!

hiwarp 2018-04-25 22:05

Awesome game idea! Perfect concept. - missed some audio sfx, music, ... - @lerg: HTML5 version not work on some browsers like chrome (but i finally played well on safari)

Great work!

lucasbra1 2018-04-25 22:06

I love the idea! I wish the dice moved a bit faster though, it would make the game more fun IMO. Nice work!

yaniv 2018-04-25 22:20

Thank you all

I'll probably add improvements to the game with time

It really helps your advice and thanks

ribout-horace 2018-04-25 23:20

I really enjoyed playing it ! The difficulty curves was well balanced, the game is really self-explanatory and we immediattly understand how to play it, and the little tricks can come in mind really quick ! I finish it maybe too quickly, but for a game jam game, it's perfect ! And the idea of the wall who follow you and stop you from running away + the two direction to shoot + the different type of ennemy was all great idea from the core mecanic and made the game work really well !

joltjab 2018-04-26 00:40

dude this is a really interesting concept! I think you did a great job coming up with such an interesting design!

icxon 2018-04-26 00:47

I'd recommend to opt out 'Audio' section, to remove any confusion about sfx.

Had a lot of panic on the last two tanks! panic.png

P.S. I do love how dice dots are painted.

danny88881 2018-04-26 03:00

Very original concept, I love how the dots rotate with the cube!

guy-withivy 2018-04-26 08:35

Thank you so much, very cool game.

I liked to find strategies for rolling dice in the correct way. first time I played I think that I have to roll higher than enemies. I didn't see that I could fire :smirk:.

If you want you can feedback mine here

https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/heaven-and-earth

theflyingkeyboard 2018-04-26 09:07

Really cool game to play, the concept is nice, graphics looks good. Great Job :)

stark 2018-04-26 12:28

Great idea and realization!

maximbegunov 2018-04-26 14:59

Amazing concept!

jamfella 2018-04-26 14:59

I tried to give ratings, hopefully got them right :) Lovely idea about controls and knowing which side to aim with. I would have wanted to see dots, to get more control (For some reason i saw black dice, so it was very difficult!). Great entry. Well done.

nick-rafalski 2018-04-26 15:05

@Dan-violet-sagmiller and @Plopsis Do you have an Ad-blocker on? It wouldn't start for me until I disabled my adblocker and refreshed the page. Just something to try

@YANIV Very cool concept. One of the most cohesive genre combinations I've seen this LD. The level design is good too! Lots of interesting little moments and puzzles for such a short time frame. Great job!

memel06 2018-04-26 15:12

I had loads of fun playing your work. Concept and art were on theme, and everything seems at the right place. You had a killer idea! I really want to play this game in my dead time, so I'll keep it in my favourite section on browser :)

Thanks for this amazing work, I'll rate this with nice scores!

anthony-krafft 2018-04-26 15:14

One of the most creative gameplay I've seen so far, very simple, elegant and efficient. The progression curve and the last challenge with the two hard tanks left me craving for more. Great job!

maikelortega 2018-04-26 15:17

Really interesting idea! The gameplay was really fun, I found dodging with the dice while trying to get a nice angle specially rewarding!

mic-matrix91 2018-04-26 15:19

Very original idea! It's a challenging game, very difficult to find quickly the right side of the dice! Loved also the lego style walls and all the graphics in general!! Excellent work!

r4ndomthunder 2018-04-26 17:31

Cool game, concept and graphics are good. There is no audio D:

If you want you can try my game on this link: [Scarry](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/scarry)

yaniv 2018-04-26 23:00

Thank you all It’s really nice to know you’ve enjoyed it

2018-04-27 00:52

Awesome concept and really fun game!! I really liked it.

bazld 2018-04-27 05:10

Excellent game, and great use of the theme 👌

darkphnx 2018-04-27 05:31

Incredibly solid game-play! This puzzle element was so simple but so fun to play with! I wasn't sure if it was just my download, but I would've appreciated some audio in this game. Aside from that you got high marks all around! If there is audio working, and I'm just being an idiot, let me know and I'll adjust my score! Great game!

manimal 2018-04-27 07:22

Interesting idea about the Dice and shot mechanics. Audio for this game will be awesome, after one round in chrome, I am unable to launch the game again in chrome.

yaniv 2018-04-27 09:15

@darkphnx Hey thanks Unfortunately I did not manage to make Audio for the game. I hope to add later

dae529 2018-04-27 10:04

Love the concept, a really great idea. As with most folk here I'd have loved some sound; as well as maybe the dice to moving just a little faster, particularly for moving in between sections

julink 2018-04-27 13:59

Hi! I tested your game and the concept is very interesting! It's a very good idea to mix a simple dice with a sort of military world^^

Very good game and concept!

arron-fowler 2018-04-27 22:55

As a collector of dice, or a dice gangster as I prefer it termed this game ticked all of my boxes. Genuinly challenging and fun. Good job.

johnnysix 2018-04-27 22:59

Nice, this could be great with some tweaked movement, a little polish on gfx/sound etc. Great concept. Was fairly quick to get an almost instinctive movement with the die to get the matching number face to the enemy.

Would be interesting if the flip side defende - I.E. the enemies had numbered bullets too, and you had to shield with the matching/opposite side. :)

potato-toaster 2018-04-28 00:15

Its a really fun concept but I think if the movement felt a little bit more fluid I think it would be more enjoyable.

flameo326 2018-04-28 00:58

Nice concept. A little difficult. Sound would be nice.

deprecat 2018-04-28 01:19

As someone that really loves dice, this was a cool concept! The idea is instantly recognizable and is very easy to jump in and play.

If this was built out more, I think I'd personally like to see more unique level design that plays off your movement limitations and makes things a bit more puzzle-like. At the moment, enemies don't really feel like much of a threat because it's easy enough to just duck out of the way, position yourself, and then go on the offensive.

Perhaps designing more levels where your movement is limited by bridges or hallways, and you have to quickly maneuver to get into position before approaching enemies reach you. I think keeping the very free and open movement in the very beginning is perfect though. It gives the player enough time to just mess around and get accustom to the controls.

Awesome job!

vkmicro 2018-04-28 04:59

super fun and creative! enjoyed it a lot! got nothing to complain about

daveroony 2018-04-28 05:06

Very well done game, felt like it moved a little slow, maybe add some power ups possible for as the game progresses more.

taygos 2018-04-28 06:33

Wow, amazing!!! Love the concept, very innovative idea. I feel like the art style is fitting too! I love the legos and kid's toys theme. Puzzler seems fun and great use of a die. Really great! Congrats on an awesome game!!

mau 2018-04-28 06:33

looks interesting, but it never finished loading on my computer :(

roaderful 2018-04-28 06:38

 Really nice, loved the concept  Great game, could be improved with sounds and better art style.

2018-04-28 07:21

Really smart and fun concept! The art style was fantastic as well - nicely done!

jonathan-lorenz 2018-04-28 13:33

Really interesting. The genres combined imo are more puzzle and shooter. It gave me a rubik's cube vibe. I think you have a pretty interesting idea on your hands! Good work even if it was a little rough around the edges.

king-kujito 2018-04-28 21:21

Interesting idea. Well done :-)

balance686 2018-04-28 21:32

Very original! I really like the mechanics you came up with. The game is challenging and fun to play. I like how you represented the health as well. Would have loved some sound! Good job!

dob 2018-04-28 21:37

Very clever idea, executed well. I think I'd prefer if the shots weren't limited by distance, either mine or the enemy's. Sounds would be cool too. But great concept, great execution, great art, very neat project.

ehtd 2018-04-29 03:20

Nice idea

jin9310 2018-04-29 08:08

really innovative. Glad I have came across your game as this is really unusual game experience and only in good way ;) Thanks for great fun I had.

arturasd 2018-04-30 15:52

The idea is just perfect. Gameplay is top notch. Sadly there was no music and enemies could have been more visually appealing. The level itself on the visuals is kinda poor. But i guess you can't make a perfect game in 48 ours can you? haha. Good job on the entry.

rvenson 2018-04-30 16:52

The idea is extraordinary! Gameplay is fluid, but game art is not polished and there are no sounds =( In overall, it's nice game! Congratulations!

xoidberg 2018-04-30 17:32

Nice game, controls are a bit counter intuitive, though.

agar3s 2018-04-30 18:10

great game! easy to play difficult to master :D

captainpilot 2018-04-30 20:07

Really cool concept. It's quite tough to juggle the positions of the numbers in your end in quick situations (in a good challenging way) :)

designernap 2018-04-30 21:10

This is brilliant. Great idea, simply made, clear to understand and really fun to get your head around. Really like what you have done here! and yes, I played a few times and finished it! :D

shockeye 2018-05-02 09:56

Great game. Original and clever use of theme.

bartosz 2018-05-02 10:41

Cool game, shame that there is no sound... It reminds me strongly game for PS1 - Kurushi: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rV_tEiTDizw

I found a bug where when my life went down to 2 then for some reason i could not shoot in some positions/directions...

You can play our game here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/educational-beat-em-up-punches-delivered-with-math

fylipp 2018-05-02 10:55

Amazing concept! Fits the theme very well.

bionikmonster 2018-05-02 12:06

Awesome entry! The concept is so cool I could play it all day long :D

yaniv 2018-05-02 22:05

Thank you!!!

larzan 2018-05-03 10:24

Wow, great concept, i think this is the best one i have seen yet! The gfx could be better, but i like the increasing difficulty, the controls. Very well done!!! :)

dp3rucha 2018-05-03 11:09

Great concept! It has potencial to expand in a full game.

rodrigo-denubila 2018-05-03 13:43

Excellent take on the theme. The game is pretty fun and very polished. If you work more in graphics and UI, this have a lot potential for a full game, maybe for mobile. Good job!

Please, take a look at my game too: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/confessional

marcius-oliveira 2018-05-04 13:48

So much fun man! well done, small bug on linux running on Firefox, and on crossover with the windows exe, but it's ok.

yngvarr 2018-05-04 13:56

Nice concept! Really cool idea about shooting from a side of the die. =)

erunno 2018-05-04 13:56

Excelent idea!!!! I am looking forward to more levels :)

beebo-studios 2018-05-04 15:02

Such a great idea that works so incredibly well! It has so much potential, I can totally see a full game centered around controlling a die.

Easily a 5 Star entry.

yaniv 2018-05-04 17:09

Thank you all It’s really nice to know you’ve enjoyed it

d-studios 2018-05-05 00:21

This was an interesting game. I liked the whole unique concept, but I wished the directions on how to play were a bit more clearer. I also think this game would be much better with some audio. I noticed that the NPCs that were not tanks did not have smart AI and they were too easy to just skip past without killing. Now I know that the score component in the game is to motivate the player to try to kill the most NPCs, but I still think the game would be more fun and challenging if they had smarter AI. They could have either stood in place and shoot or they could have been like the red tanks in the game. I also think that the game would be much better if it had better UI that was polished and pretty.

mestrerothld 2018-05-05 18:53

The concept, visual design and motion flow are very awesome. You have something worth developing in hands. Congrats!

shivur 2018-05-05 19:20

Very good concept.

wdebowicz 2018-05-05 19:48

What a great idea! That's a perfect theme adaptation with a fun to play!

lost-dutchman-software 2018-05-05 20:24

Very fun, very intuitive design. I would love to see this on a controller with a twin stick shooter layout. I think you did a particularly good job building up the difficulty by starting with basically harmless enemy's the player can learn the core concept of the game in relative safety. Excellent tutorial design!

krammetje 2018-05-07 13:09

Really cool concept. Graphics are a bit basic, but gameplay-wise it's great.

darkwing00duck 2018-05-07 18:26

Wow, very interesting game. Fun to play, like graphical stylization

cristiano-m-garcia 2018-05-08 02:56

I loved the mechanics that make the game very challenging over time. The level design is very good. I missed the sound a lot. Congratulations, and the game.

I left my rating of your game, if you can leave your feedback in our game, Witch's Escape.

I hope you continue with the project.

https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/witchs-escape

gonutz 2018-05-09 21:53

Very cool game!

A little music and some sound effects would have been nice. You know you can use [Bfxr](https://www.bfxr.net/) for creating sound effects very easily. For music I would recommend Bosca Ceoil. Just a suggestion :-)

The game play is really innovative, very cool idea and implementation!

frostbyte4k 2018-05-09 22:20

fun game I feel the difficulty balance should be tweaked a bit, sound would also add a lot, and the art assets dont always seem to fit the same style but over all fun game. if you'd like to check out my game heres the link: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/yum-some

kwisarts 2018-05-09 22:28

Nice game! I love how you take advantage of the dice here. :) It has a nice challenge while it makes you anticipate your moves! Well done!

mordezmoi 2018-05-09 23:40

Wow. Simply amazingly done! The idea is really very inventive and this definetly has the potential to be something bigger! The way you used the die is genius.

kittyinthestudio 2018-05-10 22:33

A very cool little game! didn't find many issues with it besides the audio :). Good Entry! I hope to see more

patvanmackelberg 2018-05-11 01:57

Now that is innovative. Awesome game!

yaniv 2018-05-11 05:41

Thank you all

firesplash-entertainment 2018-05-12 01:02

OMG looking forward to check ou you game :o hope I get the time before voting ends!

michipantera 2018-05-12 02:05

I love it. Great idea and fresh feel! Congratulations!

corbak 2018-05-12 09:11

Nice little game. I enjoyed it. I don't know if there were any sounds ? I didn't hear any. But was quite nice.

yaniv 2018-05-12 11:21

Thank you! No sound I did not manage to create

levidsmith 2018-05-13 08:08

Really neat concept. The enemies and movement were really well done. I liked the halo effect around the tank lasers, which is something I want to figure out how to do. Sometimes it was hard knowing what numbers were on the sides where I couldn't see. Some cooldown on the rate of fire would prevent button mashing. I was also able to make it pretty far without attacking any enemies at all. Disappointed that there were no sound effects or music.

gennon 2018-05-13 17:02

Funny idea! Missed some sounds, but this was playable for sure! Good job!

veilastrum 2018-05-13 17:08

This is a really interesting concept. It took a while for me to get use to controlling the die's controls in regards to its shooting, but I got more use to it as I played it more. Great entry!

ethan-kennerly 2018-05-13 17:11

5-stars! When I dodged bullets and aligned my die face to the target number I felt clever! If you continue to develop this, when the blocks approached with numerals on them, and I shot at them and some of them were destroyed and others were not destroyed, I felt confused. I didn't recognize the number needed to match the bullet pattern and didn't notice the bullet pattern varied by the shooting face of the die.

strangeryann 2018-05-13 17:57

I was really impressed by this game! It didn't look like much but this is a really interesting qnd original use of a dye in-game. The sound didn't work in the HTML5 build, unfortunately, and the graphics ain't very fancy, but this is very solid game design... I'll keep an eye on you and I hope to check out another game of yours for the Ludum Dare 42 - nicely done, take care :-D

erik-brendel 2018-05-13 18:46

Really cool idea! Shooting from the dots of the die is a nice concept. Enemies that need a specific type of shot made it all pretty funny. A bit of sound design could have helped. It's sad that it was over so fast. Some more levels (or even an endless mode) could help here :)

mau 2018-05-13 21:40

good idea, it was hard to remember where the numbers were on the die.

glimaleite 2018-05-13 21:55

Oh, how I wish I had that same idea before! I loved it! I wish it was faster to swap between numbers, so the game could be more intense, but other than that, I had fun confusing the heck of my brain. Dodging, going back and planning felt good, shooting as well. I really wished you had implemented audio though, it makes a huge difference, even though I didnt implement on my game either lol. If you have some time, please, take a loot at it at: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/last-stand

acuity 2018-05-14 06:43

Pretty cool concept! It's definitely hard to keep track of where the numbers are, but I liked that you had to shoot things with the right number to get them.

lucas-ferrantelli 2018-05-14 08:13

Waaaw nice concept ! When i saw the gif, I knew I would love this game ! I think the game would be a bit better if each enemy has a patern depending of their number (moving enemies are n1, shooting enemy are n2, etc.) but still huge game ! Nice entry, one of my fav concept

yaniv 2018-05-14 10:40

Thank you all

I’ll probably add improvements to the game with time

It really helps your advice and thanks

freebo 2018-05-14 10:43

This was a nice idea. I liked that you had to do some strategic maneuvering in order to hit the different units. I could not hear any sound, but I guess we all had to make cuts somewhere. Well done!

ava-skoog 2018-05-14 17:14

Such a fun idea! I'm not sure I'd agree that it's really a "dice game" in the sense of the genre since that would imply randomness whereas here I had full control over how the die would roll, but a great concept nonetheless. Enjoyed it a lot! Unfortunately I wasn't good enough to reach the end despite many attempts. :p

I see you opted into the audio category but I couldn't hear any sound (tried both web and .exe)... Is that a problem on my end or was there actually no sound? I think you can opt out of the audio category in that case if you want to. c:

Not really sure what else to say. It felt quite original and I really liked the æsthetic of using other "toy"-like elements like the LEGO bricks. I think you could really build on that and especially sell it with fittingly accompanying music (perhaps with toy instruments) if you decided to keep working on this post jam!

Would be nice to move a little faster and to be able to shoot while rolling (with the number of bullets corresponding to the side about to be the current one).

Really cool entry! Good job!

acoto87 2018-05-14 17:33

Nice idea, the puzzling behavior of knowing which face of the dice to shoot is quite interesting, good job!

It was way more captivating than I thought it would be! Near the middle section with a couple stationary shooting tanks and a couple moving tanks I was really getting in the zone. Awesome concept.

I liked it. You really have to think your moves out. It's tough.
