LD41 — Combine 2 Incompatible Genres

Big Mood by ursagames 2018-04-25T11:47:46Z

Loved it! Apart from a lack of interesting AI for the little creatures when fighting, basic gameplay was satisfying (but you should add the Crouch button in the instructions for players not used to KB/M FPS such as me).

It was surprisingly fun to talk to the 3 characters and I can see where you were going with your dating sim aspect. Though, as said above, a trigger zone to press E or aiming the character would have been way more intuitive than aiming the text to talk.

Music was awesome too.

Sniper-Platformer by thecrancher 2018-04-26T16:51:17Z

Took the plunge and tried it: would have been so cool if you had had the time to further build upon it! Core gameplay was fun, outside of player movement being so slow when aiming. Liked how the enemies were sent flying into the skies ^^

Maybe you'll have more luck next jam!

Horrors of Stångby by Pixelcode 2018-04-24T16:29:35Z

Went in quite blind (had not read the entire description) and had a genuine laugh when (spoiler) a massive fridge with googly eyes started scolding me in the kitchen. I've seen a few entries playing with this type of genre combination but I think yours is the most successful this far! My only real issue with the game was not having a single clue of the objective when starting up (use the start menu) and the FoV seemed slightly too narrow for me, even for a horror game.

Great job!

Crazy Cube by YANIV 2018-04-26T15:14:22Z

One of the most creative gameplay I've seen so far, very simple, elegant and efficient. The progression curve and the last challenge with the two hard tanks left me craving for more. Great job!

Shoty Soccer by ArturasD 2018-04-25T11:54:30Z

Cool idea that would really benefit from further work on controls (run button pleaaaaaaase) and obviously more advanced AI. It's still a really nice proof of concept and could make for a very fun multiplayer game.

Good job!

Cocaine McBain - A Farm Rush Adventure by Goat Toaster Games 2018-04-26T10:46:37Z

Haha, I would have liked to collect cocaine directly on my way (as a powerup?). However, core gameplay is very solid (outside of a quite tricky jump timing), rhythm of the LD is on point and general atmosphere is charming! A great entry.

Unbeheaded monarchs by IEQI 2018-04-26T10:50:17Z

Obviously not the most refined entry out there, but I have laughed while playing and for that I thank you!

Dance Dance Ratatouille by vividreality 2018-04-25T11:31:01Z

I think the two game genres you picked blend perfectly with one another as a concept, but I would have liked to see theme intertwined more. Right now you have (IMO) two separate game phases which could maybe have been mixed together a little more.

As a rhythm game newbie, the game seemed really hard to me, so take my opinion with a grain of salt (!).

Lovely presentation though, and a good idea to build upon.

Struggling Detective by Urubi 2018-04-26T11:16:49Z

Very funny twist, I was definitely expecting some kind of first person game!

S.H.A.F.T by TIMOTHEUS-25 2018-04-25T11:20:57Z

Liked it a lot. Core gameplay and feedbacks are very satisfying and makes for a fun use of the theme, and I appreciate that you took the time to include an arrow indicator for the health packs, even if a icon would have helped to undestand the first time.

Obviously lacking a proper progression curve but can't be held against you in a jam. However, I'd have liked a bigger emphasis on the gun ammo, as I have had trouble predicting reload time and ammo left.

Good job!

You Have My Word by BauBau 2018-04-26T11:25:56Z

Would have loved if we could drop letters, as requested above. As is, the game can be frustrating, especially in the learning phase. Cool concept though!

Path Maker by GeekZmoD 2018-04-26T11:03:33Z

(Hi, I think we know each other) Nice mechanics and progression curve. I'm a sucker for this kind of puzzle games so had a lot of fun with it. Great tutorial btw!

City Surgeon by Bitoddgames 2018-04-24T16:21:20Z

Fun, addictive, beautiful to look at. Please build upon it, this is a very solid game!

Of tennis and moustaches. by FranVadillo 2018-04-26T16:35:40Z

Hilarious setting and efficient gameplay. Maybe slightly too hard to juggle with all different controls but it was a fun experience!

Furry Love: Under Skin of Rabbits by Atelier Duchu 2018-04-25T12:05:10Z

Very interesting, but after a while I started focusing on the hunting game and I don't even know how I triggered the "All 3 rabbits dead" end screen, but I must have missed something. I was looking for connections between the two games at the start but could not find any.

Nonetheless a beautiful and haunting proposition. Graphics are amazing, and the core concept is equally strong.

(there seems to be a layer issue with some of your elements, the crosshair being hidden for example by a close deer)

Double post, sorry.
