An interesting idea supported by a strong art style and fitting music. It took me a few tries to figure out the jump timing - the vertical movement feels a little on the fast side. The crates felt much more significant than the other items because missing a field/cow/chicken only counts for rank, but a crate can force a reset. Once I had the timing, I managed a four star rating - with some practice I could probably get the 5. I liked the intro/outro text too. Good work!
Loved it. Not sure that the genres fit the theme too well but the game was well made. The graphics were great. Kept me playing for a long time!

Very good game! Graphics are very good, music, mood, all! Very nice.
@piscythe Thanks so much for the feedback! :D
@theArtifacts Thanks so much! Yes I really struggled with incorporating the theme, so decided to just focus on making a nice visual and fun game. Thanks for the feedback :D
@Riyeou Thanks so much! :D I'm glad to hear you played it multiple times!
@Julink Thankyou very much! I really appreciate the kind words :D

Fantastic pixel art!
Really cool. Love the pixel art <3.
Loved this take on the theme: infinite runner meets farming simulator :smile:
I struggled a bit with the controls, then gave up and just mashed a and d constantly.
Graphics are spot on, I love the hills in the background! One thing did throw me off, though, the parallax grass between the ground and the fence doesn't seem to be moving at the correct rate - maybe put it behind the fence, or have it move at a rate between the ground's and the fence's rate?
I hit a lot of crates at first, especially at the slower speed of the first level. Having to start over seems a bit harsh, maybe some other punishment? how about speeding up the game significantly every time you hit a crate? start hallucinating after too many hits to the cranium? I dunno.
I love the animals' expressions, too. Those cows never knew what hit them :smile:
The art was great and the cows faces are funny xD. The concept was great and the parallax background looked good too! One thing that threw me off was the characters jump. I wasn't expecting to go that high haha.
@Marcial Thanks! Done :smiley:
@achebit Thanks so much :smiley:
@DerLasseHenrich Thankyou so much! :hearts:
@MarkoPoloDev Thankyou so much for such a fantastic response! I really appreciate the feedback. I have now tried to fix the parallax problem with the grass and I have now also fixed the jump height since quite a few people have mentioned it being a problem, hopefully it's better now! I probably just got too used to it while playtesting.
Haha yes it is very harsh, though that was somewhat my intention (and also just made it easier to code in the short time frame), however I definitely wouldn't do this in a proper game so I appreciate the feedback here, that is a very neat idea with the gaining speed when hitting crates!
Haha those poor cows!! :joy:
@WarticWare Thankyou so much!! I have had a few comments on the jump, so I have now tried to fix the jump height. Hopefully it's better now, thanks so much for the feedback! :smile:

Great combination of g̶e̶n̶r̶e̶s̶ coffee and cocaine! Good job!
@cowa and @Borodar Thankyou both so much! :smile: I think you just got me to the 20 ratings minimum, woohoo!!!
This is what I call QUALITY, great job! If I would to change anything, I'd add a penalty for pushing the wrong buttons to prevent spam. And yet my congratulations, I can see it being released on phones as is and it still will be better than 90% of shovelware out there.
Simple and elegant, great submission for LD41! I don't think it fits the theme (let me know if I'm missing something) not that it matters that is only one voting category. The aesthetic is consistent and beautiful. It was nice to get into a sort of flow with the obstacles and harvesting in between. Great work! Looking forward to your future projects!
@metamorphling Wow!! What a wonderful comment!!! Thankyou so much!! :grin: I had considered some kind of penalty for the buttons but I couldn't be bothered coding it in by the end haha.
@DraperDanMan Wow thanks so much for the kind words!! That's so great to hear. :grin:
Theme-wise, it was supposed to be a farming simulator crossed with a platform runner. Farming sims are usually slow and relaxing (I've been really digging Stardew Valley recently) and I thought it would be funny if the farmer had to rush around doing all the crops and collecting stuff super fast, in a game-style that farming sims aren't typically done in (platform runner). I feel I did not quite get the "farming sim" part down properly, but I'm sure I'll do better with future themes!
This is disturbingly adorable and full of drugs, awesome job!

OMG, you did the art and code by yourself!?
That's amazing! I thought it was a team work with a dedicated artist to reach this level of polish in the pixel art!
I really loved it! One of the top games in this LD for sure!
@Bruce Omg thankyou so much man!! I'm super flattered! :grin:
Definitely more runner than farming sim, but who cares as you have pulled off a charmingly elegant scroller with really great graphics and audio. This looks almost polished enough to go straight to market. Very good job!
Haha, I would have liked to collect cocaine directly on my way (as a powerup?). However, core gameplay is very solid (outside of a quite tricky jump timing), rhythm of the LD is on point and general atmosphere is charming! A great entry.
@Darby Costello Wow thanks for the really fantastic comment! That's so great to hear! :grin:
@Anthony Krafft Haha that's a fantastic idea, thanks for the feedback! I definitely need to work on jump timing. Thanks so much for the wonderful comment! :smile:

The art is amazing. The gameplay was simple, but also fun and addictive. I didn't realize at first I had to hold down space to jump higher, so took me a few attempts to get past the first crate. The difficulty was well balanced though, I got 4/5 when I finally managed to complete it.
Overall this is a very strong game, great job.
Very fancy graphics. You've put a lot of effort in this game. Love this simple but addicting gameplay)
@Avon Ah yes, I thought holding down the jump button might make people feel that they have more control, but it seems that simply tapping it and a consistent height might be better for runners. (This was my first attempt at a runner). Thankyou so much for the kind words and thanks for finishing my game :grin:
@WalkDiGidong Thankyou so much for the fantastic comment, really great to hear that you found the gameplay addictive! :smile:
Addicting gameplay and eye candy pixel art! Love it!

Traditionally, farming games are associated with a calm, relaxing environment and gameplay... I really love your take on the rural cliché ! The graphics are top-notch, the game is so expressive ! Regarding gameplay, I found it quite intuitive and enjoyable (the long jump is a godsent). Had a great time, thanks for the game !

Amazing game, Suitable UI with the Graphics and you sticked to the theme, Very Good Job! Controls are bit hard in the beginning but you get used to it later on! Loved the Introduction of the story all tho i recommend using more time for players to read since there is a skip button and there are some slow readers out so you can give every user the experience of the game! Everything else is amazing it's great job to make less than 72 hours!

Loved the pixel art in this. Super charming! One thing I found that was a little exploitable, was the fact that I could just tap [A] and [D] at the same time whenever a crop/animal came up and it would still work! Other than that, a solid little endless runner.

This is such a good entry. It looks so good and is very well made for a Jam game. Loved the story part you included as well, especially cool is that it even rhymes. Only problem is that the game is a bit too punishing, resetting all days when you fail. Checkpoints for each day would've been great. Overall, though, a great entry!

Aamzing stuff! :D The sound effects (and voice acting) were adorable, graphically it's one of the more beautiful games in the Jam this year too! Can't believe you guys did this in 72 hours lol. I'd love to see this develop more! And i feel like it would work great on mobile too, just a pitch though. Cheers!
art is amazing! easy 5 star. really enjoy playing the game
Polished! Beautiful pixel art (I love the running animation, that was time well spent), satisfying particles and sounds. The graphics were also very readable which is good for a game like this. Gameplay was short and sweet, and the difficulty was just right imo. The theme wasn't really deeply incorporated, and maybe the mechanics were a bit shallow, but still fun nonetheless.
I left my rating of your game, if you can leave your feedback in our game, Witch's Escape.
I hope you continue with the project.

Hi. Just saw this game played on stream. I like how you incorporated mechanics for farming as you run to improve your score at the end. I thought the rushed panic of the farmer was hilarious. I look forward to seeing your next submission :D

Really well polished game! One of the most well-rounded experiences I've had so far while playing the entries. :) It did get a bit annoying to reset all the time though.
**Sorry for the late response, guys! I've been busy trying to play all your games** :wink:
@facepalmpt That's really great to hear, thanks so much! :smile:
@Pagi Thankyou so much! The amount of people that keep telling me it should be a mobile game is making me look into it! :grinning:
@mrPenguin Thankyou so much! :smile:
@JLV Wow that's such a flattering comment, it's very interesting seeing people's mixed views on some of the games mechanics. Thankyou so much for the great feedback and for enjoying my game! :grin:
@Wassim Thankyou so much for the kind words and great feedback! Yes I really stuffed up on handling the text part haha! I think next time I will just let it sit and not continue until they have pressed a button so they can read it all in their own time. And I will be sure to make a better tutorial in the future. Thankyou!! :grinning:
@lum Thankyou so much for the compliments and the feedback! Yes quite a few people have expressed this being an issue, I'll be sure to change that in a final version of the game. :smile:
@MosesG Thanks so much, that's great feedback and a lot of people have been saying the same thing. I will absolutely make sure the final version resets at each room. I really appreciate the feedback! :grin:
@erebus It was great watching you play and getting live feedback, thanks so much! :grinning:
@Utho Thankyou so much for the amazing comment! It really makes my day. Haha yeah I had to pull an all nighter but I got it all done in the end :joy: I keep hearing that I should make the final version into a mobile game, so I will look into it!
@finalspace Wow thankyou so much for the high rating and praise! :smiley:
@patrickgh3 Thanks so much for the great feedback! It was awesome watching you play. I'll definitely work on game mechanics in a final version of the game. Thankyou!! :grin:
@cristiano.m.garcia Thanks so much for the rating! I enjoyed your game. I do intend to continue with this project, thankyou!! :grin:
@stardynamic Haha thanks so much! The idea of a farmer running frantically to get the farming done was funny so I just had to roll with the idea. Thanks so much! :grinning:
@dib Wow that's so great to hear, thankyou so much!! Yes I definitely will fix that problem in the final version of the game :joy:

This has some lovely graphics and nice sounds. Gameplay is quite polished as well. Wish it saved progress and I'm not sure if this would be considered a 'farming-simulator', but nice job nonetheless! :)
Super polished and the visuals are simply great.

Suggestions/gripes: * Restart just the day (maybe that wouldn't apply if this was a regular endless runner, but if you want people to finish your game during LD, you shouldn't probably make it harder than neccessary for us) * nothing stopped me from just pressing A + D so I didn't have to focus on whether it was a crop or an animal - it could be on a timer or you could force the player to click it for a different kind of distraction * this's probably just me, but my eyes started to hurt after a while and that never happens to me (I couldn't say if there was motion blur on day 3 or it was just my eyes) - I have finished it in the end, but I couldn't have gone for much longer if I haven't.

You definitely have a 5-star visual style, and I love how you incorporated the farming theme into all the parts of the game. The controls were well done, but the difficulty was kind of all over the place. You could spam A and D and not have to think about if it was an animal or a crop, but then one single crate would make you restart the whole thing again? I think if you take the feedback from everyone here, you could easily have a game you could release for realsies.

A runner and a farming game! The graphics are really well done and I love the head of the cow. Super nice job.

That was a fantastic treat. The art direction really added to the feeling of rush and highness of my playthrough. The gameplay was a bit basic, easy and didn't even penalized me for, later on, just spamming the buttons to not lose anything, but it's still one of my favorite entries in the jam so far.
This game has a great ground and direction, so it'd be great if it could be further updated later on. Adding to the idea of the rush, it'd be interesting to be scored based on the timing of pressing A and D, rather than just doing it, as to prevent spamming like I did. More levels, more story, more hazards, there's so much you can add to it. In its current form, it's too simplistic. Extremely polished and impressively original in the farming and cocaine setting, but I've played so many runners that the actual gameplay experience wasn't much of a novelty.
Once again, congratulations on making such a vivid game. One of the most inspiring and funny ones I've seen this time. [My team](twitter.com/whalesandgames) are looking forward to seeing what you can come up with in the future! Cheers! :whale:

Fantastic! :) I have ended up with 4 start and missed only 2 crops! Damn! :) You made almost rogue-like game experience. It is very well executed and I am really glad that I have came across this game. The story behind is hilarious and it made my day ;) Great job with great mood.
