This is the most fun game I have played so far!! I love the attention to detail in the graphics and lighting

This is the most fun game I have played so far!! I love the attention to detail in the graphics and lighting
Quite fun, and I love the snowfall graphics in the background! Easy to play end entertaining
Awesome music, graphics, and gameplay. The game runs flawlessly, and is simple but very fun. I do think it could have been tied more to the theme of running out of power, though I understand that gold and crew, both of which must be used wisely, count as part of your nautical power.
Great job, I loved it!
Very fun game! Not too challenging until the end, though. I loved the concept, and gameplay was very smooth! Great job
The controls on a keyboard are tough, but the game has amazing graphics and music. With a little tuning (or an Xbox controller on my part) this could be one of the best games here.
Thanks for the information, I'll keep that all in mind! And so you know, the text will only appear after pressing left shift when next to an NPC--you have to be quite close to get them to notice you.
Thanks!!! I'm very happy you seem to like it!
The maps are indeed randomly generated. However, since we entered this into the jam we were allowed to use a pre-existing code base, which is why we had that. I should also note that the generation algorithm, while procuding nice results, is expensive on the CPU and RAM, and I think it has caused some of the start-up errors people have been reporting.
Also, I have noticed the trees issue before, and that is actually part of the reason I shortened the range of vision. Yet Im sure there is a better way via LOD / poly count control
Thank you very much @lamm! It means a lot to hear that, and I am very glad you have enjoyed it!
@krishnasism The terrain was randomly generated, which is why each scenario took some time to load. And I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you both very much for the input! @rogue-studios, that issue was adressed in the post-jam version we uploaded if you would like to try that out. @kr4ft3r, we have had reports of similar errors before, and beleive that the cause is the map generation system (since each map is generated from scratch). As of yet, however, we have not been able to find an effective solution to the problem.
Nice job! I like how it is not you, but your allies, who are running out of power. Very creative! Gameplay is very smooth
Amazingly fun!!! A tough game, but that makes it very entertaining. I love the physics and movement mechanism--very creative
Overall I really liked the game! I would suggest, however, maxing the base power at 100--the game now allows going over, which makes the game progressively easier. Health bars on the tanks would be a nice touch, and I would have liked if the base attack were not so powerful--it makes the game a bit easy.
But regardless, a great game!
Very fun! Definitely one of the more challenging games I have played, and very entertaining. I liked that sound effects. It would have been nice too see slightly hilly terrain and texturing on the ground, but overall the agme was great
The game is quite fun, though I had trouble because I could not shoot while moving. And I liked the random map generation and stealth / fighting combo!
An incredible creative game! I love the concept, it is very different while being true to the theme. Great audio, too! The in-game tips were very useful, as well.
This game had a very nice platformer feel. I found the controls to be easy to use, and the game overall played very smoothly. Plus, the graphics and audio were amazing.
I will suggest to you to keep the enemies from running off the platform is to have a special block type (that looks the same) to put at the edge of a cliff, so the enemies can turn around when they touch that rather than relying on a physical barrier. I also found that it was possible to win without using any power--having jumps take power would have been a fun addition to make power feel very limited.
Overall this is a great game! Keep up the great work!
A-maze-ing!! I love the maze idea, and the challenge of the it. I have not seen anything like it yet; it stands out in a very good way. And those comments at the bottom are great!
Amazing! The game has some nice audio, and the depth of the puzzles is truly amazing. Great job!
The graphics are amazing! Very nice job on the sounds too--those are great
The best game I have played so far! And I love that you chose to use full 3D--so few people do in LD, and the games that do it well really shine. Plus, the graphics are superb! (And amazing job for a first game!!!!)
This was a very interesting game! I like the text-adventure approach, and I find the takw on the theme to be very cool as well. The music was great, and definitely fit the game. Great job!
This is a cool game. I would have liked added sounds effects, and I found it to be easy--better pathfiding for the zombies would have been nice to add more of a challence.
Pretty fun! I love the concept, and the game definitely takes an innovative approach to the theme. The audio was good, but I think with more time it could have been better.
Overall nice job!
Very fun! I love the pixel-graphics and the audio, and I have to give you credit for that "Lava Lamp" card. I find the game tough, but in a good way. It makes you plan every move, and balancing definitely is well-refined.
Overall a great job!!
I liked the combat and the concept, but unfortunately the game crashed after the second level. But still, it was a cool concept and the first levels were fun.
I loved the mazes, and I find the procedural generating to be awesome! I would have loved some audio, and maybe more detailed player / exit models, but what yuou have works very well and as a whole the game was amazing! Great job!!
I love the game! It is very creative and fun. It definitely ccan take some time, but it is worth it! Overall a great entry!
And I love the LAVA LAMP usage :)
Very fun! It fits very well with the theme, and I love the holiday twist! Everything ran very smoothly for me--great job!
I love the graphics here!!! Audio is great as well. The only thing I think I would have liked better would be reindeer animations. But overall an amazing entry!
Very fun! At first it did confuse me as well, but once I understood how to start it was quite fun. I would have loved being able to pan / rotate the view, have more buildings, and maybe even grow the area could inhabit.
I think the things with a city builder is that there is always room for a larger scope. Having played a few games like this before, I keep finding myself looked for more—especially some goal to win or advance. I think a game like this would be great with procedurally generated maps, something you could expand into essentially infinitely.
There is a ton of potential here, and I love what you have done so far.
And feel free to cite anything I've said here :) Good luck on your thesis!
Amazing! I love the graphics and style, it really reminds me of the old Might and Magic games!
This was quite fun. Just as I got ~160 feet, I was thinking "this is too easy"...and then fire-breathing snakes killed me! It was surprising and fun to see the swarms of enemies, and became quite challenging at the end. Nice job!
I love the graphics and music!! This game has a ton of potential, and I would love to see where you can take it. I noticed that the player had difficulty moving the the second level--I had to keep jumping as if there were an obsatcle in front of me. I would have liked some walking / other dound effects as well.
But regardless, a very intriguiing and cool gamw!
I love the music, and find the game concept interesting. However, I would have liked more animation--squirrels moving and attacking you more, for example.
But overall, nice job!
This is definitely my favorite game so far!!!! Great job!!!!
This is an all-around great game. It is very well polished, runs smoothy, and is fun! Great job!
Nice job! I like the idea, and think it is a cool approach to the theme. However, I did notice some lag and did not hear any audio, unfortuantely.
I definitely agree the controls are not the best, and It was only at the end that I found a camera angle I really liked (and did not have time to put in all scenes). I agree on the y-axis camera motion--I never added that, but it would have been fairly easy and I should have! I'll definitely fix that next LD.
Sorry to hear that! I made a fix for that bug and will upload it, so now the end can be reached.
Here is a synopsis of what the game skipped: After reaching the key, you are presented with a message describing how you return to your native world, with an army of freed Shadows. In a 5th level, you battle Alaeas's army in from of his castle with these allies. After defeating him and his army, you banish the remants of evil left by Alaeas.
I love this game! I wish there had been more levels, since they got very fun and innovative by the end. I also think some nice background graphics could have been nice,
I really like your choice of music, and I like the concept a lot. Great job!
Very nice! I particularly loved the graphics with the stars and meteor explosions. And I love how the meteors travel in non-linear paths--it makes it more challenging to hit them. And I love the music--it really adds to the game!
This as a very innovative take on the theme. I like the idea, it fits the LD very well. And nice music!!
Nice job! I love the graphics and the idea. The game was easy to pick up and ran smoothly
The game looks fun, but unfortunately I keep encountering thieves and cannot move on. I also with the thief were easier to defeat, or could not attack as quickly--he kills me in about 5 seconds after landing a hit, and it would be nice to fight rather than run and hope he does not land a hit on em.
This was an awesome game!! The idea was great and well-implemented, and I loved the music! This is even more impressive considering it is your first game. Welcome to the community, and keep up the great work!!
This was a truly fun game!! I love the simple yet very effective mechanics, and the mucic creates a great mood. The game fits teh theme very well, and overall I love it!!
A fun game! It is very interesting to explore, and with some great music. I did find the convserations became predictable sometimes, however, and I would have loved to see a clearer connection to the theme.
I definitely enjoyed this one. I love the style, and find if fun to play.
I would suggest you have the character move with the platform, rather than staying fixed in place while it is moving, and bouncing off the sides of (rather than sticking on) the platforms would be nice.
But overall a great entry.
This was a fun game! I also would have loved some sound, and more / different enemy types, and more varied levels to avoid repetition, but the idea was great and I like the twist on coins being bad.
I loved this one! The music was amazing, graphics well done and the humor and take on the theme fir very well! I did not notice any major bugs either. Great job!
Very nice game! Sacrificing planets was a cool feature, and the game had a nice difficulty—not too hard, but certainly not easy. The graphics and audio fit very well. Having the indicators for where enemies were was very nice and useful. I would only say that it would have been nice to be able to sacrifice planets earlier—when they got exactly to zero it was often too late.
This was one of the more fun games I have played this round. Great job!
Graphics were awesome, and the music was nice. For the game-play, I found it a bit slow and uneventful. I would have liked it if the island were closer, or if you had to choose between a few possible islands, etc. As it is, while still nice, I found myself wishing for more to be happening.
I really like the concept! I have two main comments:
It would be nice to see more immediate consequences of devotion, or to have some more to do with it. I liked being able to add more options when devotion got above 100, but I think that occaisonal messages / omens of favor or disfavor from the elder beings would have spiced it up nicely. But I do realize there may have been more behind-the-scenes dáta crunching I did not notice.
I think that putting it behind a UI (even something simple) would have made the game a more fun
Keep up the good work!
Very nice game! I loved the hijacking concept. The game was a nice difficulty—reasonable, but not easy. Great job!
@secretpocketcat There was nothing that bugged me in the game, it ran very smoothly. In a post jam version (which I would love to see) I think that having a larger screen on which to play, and maybe support for gaming controllers, would be very nice. But nothing that I see is in need of fixing.
This was the best possible embodiment of the theme. Amazing game, and wonderful use of meta-gaming. Great job!!
Fun game with some nice puzzles. I would have liked if they were a tad more difficult, but still a fun game! Nice job!
Just a not on a bug I had: On level 2-2 the start-up screen did not go away, so I could not play it. I was on the WebGL build.
Very funny beginning, and nice gameplay! I like the powers you have, and how you can get pretty creative with them. Nice job!
Fun, and I liked the idea! Think that some music would have made it even better, but it is nice as it is!
@link @ludovico Just did, thanks!!
Thanks @digitallimestone ! I agree that a background would have been nice, if I do a larger Post-LD I'll definitely add one in. I am very glad you liked it!
And all, I’ll play and rate your games today or tomorrow. I don’t have the time right now to give good feedback, but I will as soon as I can :)
@eric-smith I'll see if I can. But Unity kept crashing when I tried, unfortunately
Thank you!! I am glad you like it
@wyatt I will update the write up so it is more clear, thanks!
@link I completely agree—that’s on the list of features to add!
@vivien-fargette Thank you very much! I did not realize how out-of-place the pawn colors would look. I actually did that to indicate the straight moves are only for moving, not attack, but I should have mentioed that before. I’ll add that in to the write up!
@pellanor @btrotter101 I’m sorry that it did not work, but thanks for coming here to check it out! Unfortunately I do not have access to a Mac to try to debug, but pellanor, which Windows are you running? I can try to debug it, and if I get somewhere I’ll post an update.
@chaosed0 I did not realize that until after the deadline. I’d love to add in checkpoints at some point for a post LD, because you are right that having to restart is quite hard on the player.
Thanks to everyone here for playing—I really value all for you feedback!
Thanks for the feedback everyone! It is very useful!
@baktillus @iamsodarncool you die when you are in an enemy's range and it moves to kill you. The reason it seems like there is no reason is that the movement is not shown (a bug I did not have time to address) before you are killed.
Death is not triggered by collision, but by the enemy's intention to attack you. So even if an enemy moves through you, you may live; but if they see you and attack, you die. It is a bit awkward (something I would like to fix), but I had to go with it for now.
Cool concept, but the game got a bit too repetitive for me, and I had trouble seeing how the in-game choices had too much of an impact. However, the music was nice and the game fit ito the theme pretty well.
This a just great! Super funny, and very, very true at the same time. I think I am going to send this to all of my friends now when they ask me that the Ludum Dare is.
One thing I will say is that it some more sound effects, and maybe some more pop up text of what is being coded / debugged could have spiced it up well. (For example, when you are not getting anywhere, a pop up printing a stack trace). But you already had a good amount of that, and maybe more would have over-done it. Anyway, the result is great!
Keep up the amazing work!!
I love this take on the trolley problem, very funny! The game is nice and I love the music. Keep up the good work!
I really liked this game. The AI players were nice, and I love the fact that it allows controllers and that it can handle (local, at least) multiplayer. Great job!
Amazing visuals, and the music was great! I would have loved to have some sort of an end, or some sort of infinitely expanding world so that is always looked different as I ascended.
As it stands, it seems pretty repetitive. While I get the role of the theme in the plot, I would have loved to have more sacrifices in the game to spice up encounters some more.
I did like the music, and found the idea to be nice though!
That was a nice game, but I would have loved a health indicator and / or some exposed stats so I can tell if hunting or exploring (etc.) is a good idea. Also, music would have been great
But overall, a very nice story
Very nice game, and very well polished!
I really loved the music, it was very well written. Similarly, I thought the sound effects fit very well (although the fire truck sound did seem a bit off to me).
I would say that the one thing I would suggest would be to add in different types of fires and different types of fire-fighters (beyond what you have). It seemed a bit repetitive, though still quite fun.
Overall, this is an amazing entry. Especially when you include the graphics and the smoothness of the gameplay—I did not notice any major bugs at all.
Great job!
Interesting game, and nice use of the theme. It was very quick, and I would have loved some more graphics (or even just more color)
Overall, nice job
Good game! I liked the idea a lot, and the music was very nice. There are only a few comments I have:
Sound effects would have been great
Regenerating bullets is very hard, and can make it hard to get far in the game. This is especially true since refreshing cards seemed to cost health (and often kill me).
Having the cards at the bottom on-screen was hard when I was moving into a room with enemies below mt, since the cards got in the way of seeing enemies and projectiles.
Overall, however, great job! And welcome to the Ludum Dare :)
The game was very nice! I feel like the minotaurs spawned a bit quickly—I think that having them come in waves with some time in between would have been nice. However, I love the concept and the implementation of sacrifices is great!
Also—amazing audio!
Quite fun, and I am glad that it works with an Xbox controller—that made it much better! Amazing mood and graphics especially, and overall great as well!
Just phenomenal!!! This is one of my favorite LD games I have played this round. And you should keep developing this—it could get to be awesome, especially as a phone app. I’d download it for sure on my phone!!
My favorite moment: “It’s okay, I still have one left. I’ll just shoot him at...oh. Crap.”
Great work!
This game is amazing! As a fan of the Age Of Empires series, I actually so this t my peons a good amount (although not so much as some…) .I love the idea of playing as one of them! The audio is cool and the art is nice.
My one comment is that it would have been nice to see some challenges / obstacle to getting to the objectives. Maybe a puzzle, a set of guard enemies to be avoided, etc. Without that, the game got a little repetitive.
Nice game! You did a great job of balancing difficulty, and I liked the funny take on the theme! Some music and more sounds would have been great, but I liked the graphics and the level design a lot!
Keep up the good work!
Interesting game, but a bit tough (and slow) to start out. However, the idea was very cool and the game ran well. The atmosphere was awesome (especially the music and page turning sounds).
Fun, and very funny! Fit the theme very well, and I liked the music and graphics. The pixel art was the right choice for this :)
This game is great on its own, but the leaderboard makes it so much better! Great job!
Game was nice, it definitely grew on me as I played it. I liked the art ftyle, although the water looked a bit weird to me. Nice game overall though for sure!
What can I say...it was A WHALE OF A TIME :D
It would have been nive to have a few more levels, but the ones you had were definitely fun
Nice game, has some great humor!
Nice game, I liked the stamina meter--it rally forced you to strategize a bit. I would have loved gto ahve a few more levels, but overall great job!
Super creative game, great job!
I loved this game, definitely one of the best I've played so far. It was very smooth (thanks for the advice on downloading it) and fun to play. Great job!
@purenickery Thanks, I am very glad you enjoyed it!
@blushine Thanks! I realized those two Tome bugs just after 6:00 on submission day, so I couldn't fix them unfortunately. There is a good chance we do a post-LD, and if so we'll definitely take your ideas into account :)
@nathant @frozen-spirit I'm glad you liked it! We put the Tome entries in at the end and I did not realize they did not fit on the screen until too late.
@nikchernyakov Thank you! I'm glad you liked the langauge, it was super fun to put in :D
Just FYI, we did use a previously created base (still all our work, but made a while back) for the language, and modified it as we wrote the game.
@nikchernyakov Thank you, I am glad you enjoyed it :)
@vladadamm Thank you! The dictionary was randomly generated off of a few phonetic rules; it occaisonally makes a few odd words (that were corrected as they were found), but overall we are very happy with the results.
@arcayn I agree that would be cool. Time was a bit tough indeed, and we'll difinitely consider your comments if we move forwwards developing it :)
@congusbongus Thank you! @idyllicmind is a wonderful writer, and that really maded this game shine. I agree about the introduction, honestly I don't think it occured to wither of us to have more than the "Training Grounds" page. Maybe expanding that would help.
@trexxak Thank you very much! It would be super cool to move forwards with this, agreed!
This was a very well made game. Right as I started to think "they really should have added mroe variety to the puzzles" the puzzles shifted to incorporate much more environmental elements. To be honest, the last 2 or 3 were definitely my favorites. Great job!
One of the coolest games I played, I love all the colors!
Amazing premise, and I love the style. I wish I could have made the screen gibber though--I was stuck lookcing at what seemed like a 640x480 windwo on a 1920p screen, which made things a bit hard to see.
I loved the story, but I do admit I as a bit lost as to what to do (especially on the final day). After the third day when I want home the screen just went black and the game stopped, so I'm not sure what the ending meant.
The art and music definitely reminded me of the old Might and Magic games, in a great way. I've always loved that style.
With a little more explanation (and a bigger window) this game would be super. As it is, I still like it a lot.
Very fun game! It would be really nice to see some more levels though, maybe in a post-LD?
Nice game. The levels were nicely made. It would have been super cool to have a leaderboard for how quicly players finished the game to add some sense of competition in, but I liked it as it is for sure!
Nice game! Graphics were very nice, and the music worked well. It definitely got a lot easier when I realized you could shoot enemy bullets :)
Very impressive art, and the quotes displayed during the game were great! very fun
This is a really cool idea. It was a bit tough at first, but the tutorial you posted here definitely helped. This would be a great game to see p post-LD for
@gmaanicus Awesome, it would be cool to see this on Steam :)
Had trouble getting it to start unfortunately. The error was:
Godot Engine v3.2.1.stable.official - https://godotengine.org OpenGL ES 3.0 Renderer: GeForce GTX 1070/PCIe/SSE2
WARNING: _update_root_rect: Font oversampling does not work in 'Viewport' stretch mode, only '2D'. At: scene/main/scene_tree.cpp:1236 ERROR: Node not found: anim. At: scene/main/node.cpp:1381
I'd definitely love to play this one (I'm a huge fan of dungeon crawlers) so if you figurre it our please @ me :)
@nickheron The game was not minimized; it just never moved off of the Godot engine loading screen for me. Oddly enough I could hear the character mocing around when I pressed the arrow keys, but I was never able to see the game. The background music was playing as well.
I was also brought here by a glitch in LD59. But while I am here -- really cool concept! Have you ended up going further with it?
Loved the startup screen with the start button -- that was super creative. Cool concept, and the music and sound effects really fit!
Really fun gameplay -- and I really liked the difficulty! The sound effects fit very well, and I really enjoyed the boss battled and how the game forces you to keep moving.
Really great narration -- and a super cool idea for the theme!
Awesome music -- and I really enjoyed the different levels. Having a sort of character you pilot with WASD / controller would be awesome for this sort of a game, but I definitely enjoyed it as it is.
I loved the style and gameplay -- and the sound effects fit very well. Also, thank you for adding controller support -- that's so much easier to play on than keyboard!
I had expected to get weighed down, but did not notice much of an effect of that. That said, even without that, the game was very enjoyable. I could see this being expanded into a really fun larger game, if you wanted to keep developing it.
Loved the animations -- and you did an amazing job on the voicing!
Nice music -- it really fit the vibes. Nice to see other Halloween-themed titles out there too!
Amazing narration, and I really liked the ambiance. The gameplay would have been a lot easier, however, if my mouse had not kept getting stuck at the edge of the screen and limiting the camera rotation. That was not gamebreaking at all,but would be a great update for a post-LD version.
Very well made game -- I loved the music, and the gameplay was very fun! I think I would have enjoyed the player and enemies having lower health -- by the end, it felt like I would win by default because the enemy was not doing enough damage to me to defeat me in the time allotted. That said, it still felt very fun to play -- and the tactics of it were very well designed.
Aside -- I ran into a null pointer exception after 9 rounds (right before I would have been crowned king of the world!), in case you want to take a peek at that.
I found the controls a little hard at the beginning, but felt pretty good once I got the hang of it. The music and sound effects fit very well as well!
Great humour, loved the voice acting, and it fit the theme quite well!
Absolutely amazing. The art & music was very well done, and I loved the retro RPG feel. Would love to see this be expanded into a larger game!
This is a super concept -- and I really enjoyed the loop of destroying houses and abducting people.
The one difficulty I had was that I could only shoot in the direction I was moving -- which made evading / defeating the planes quite difficult. In any cases -- this was a very cool (and innovative) take on the theme.
Nice game! I found the ZQSD comtrols awkward (being on a WASD keyboard), but other than that hte game was great and creative! Good job!
Hilarious...but super creepy! I think you managed to combine 3 incompatible genres...horror, dating, and space attack. And it is truly awesome
Very nice! The gameplay is easy to pick up (and very fun!). I enjoyed the strategy of moving through the levels, and I wonder if it would have worked out well to have a "move backwards" card as well. It definitely could have been useful, and I think it may have added to planning / fighting enemies well.
Overall, the game really *dashed* passed my expectations ;)
This was an enjoyable game, with great graphics and audio. However, I noticed a couple areas that could be imporoved to help gameplay (maybe in a post-LD version):
Drill sounds do not work after restarting the game Enemies do not make sounds when they move / attack (neither do turrets)
Nevertheless, an overall fun game!
Cool idea, I especailly like the unique strategy of the game. The only thing I think it could use would be some audio
Very nice! I love the concept and found the game very fun! The only thing I think could significantly benefit it would be background music, but it is great as-is :)
I agree with projectile colors being useful, but even without them this game was amazing! This is very creative, and I love the strategy that goes into each turn. Great job!
This was very unique! Both modes were very fun, and I loved the screen shaking and ghost text in the background! Great job!
This was a very creative game! Fairly simple, but still quite fun
This is awesome! I love the music and the timing of the aminations in response to the music
@isopoly @EkkoEkko I'm very glad to hear you enjoyed the game :-) Thanks for checking it out!
@EkkoEkko of course! I just did :)
@dmanzano101 Thank you very much :)
Thanks for the feedback @evan-minto ! I agree the screen could be used more effectively--a background image actually would have been very nice to have. (In some cases, move of the screen can be used--but only in certain levels.) The powerups in the platformer give weapons for the shooter, and the shooter increases platformer speed. However, this is easy to miss (esp. the speed) since it decreases some if you take damage in the platformer. I agree is could use some work, but I am glad you liked the idea!
@Wyatt Thanks for checking this out! So you know, the slowness was intentional--you can increase your speed by playing the FPS and killing grey enemies, so the FPS was there to help make the platformer easier (whereas the platformer gave you weapons to use in the FPS).
@Jakupf Thanks for your comments on my game! I agree that there could be some nice balancing changes. The blue enemies not appearing is a glitch, but the invinicibility is not. You only become invincible in the platformer, not the shooter, when you kill the yellow enemies.
@Random-storykeeper I am sorry you ran into that glitch...I am not sure why it occured though.
Very fun! I love the combo of 2D and 3D, and the music is very nice (so few LD games even have it, so it is great to see those that do!). Especially good for a fist LD. Great job, keep it up :)
Edit: Huge plus for changing graphics levels to different levels of cooked potatoes. That was very funny!
Very fun! I found moving a little bit tough (it would be nice to reducce the inertia, in my opinion), but the game is very creative and interesting! Great job
Very nicw game! I had some difficulty with the controls (but that is just me). I loved the music, and being able to change it was super cool!
This game is hilarious!!! Super fun as well-great job!
Very creative! The gameplay is very nive, although it would have been nie to have more of a story involved. But anyway, a very cool entry
Very fun! I loved the ability to see others' scores, and the game was quite enjoyable. I did seem to deviate from the LD theme, but it is no less great of a game for it :)
I love the idea, and the gameplay is incredibly smooth and simple. The art and sound in amazing as well!!! Great job!!!
This game is cool, though I found it tough to manuvre, especailly when I landed on top of pipes and could not punch / kick them. But overall very creative!
Very nice! I love the music--few games have a music backdrop, so those that do deserve a lot of praise. The game is simple, and as a result is very fun and easy to pick up. Also, I love how it is so well-balanced. Keep up the great work :)
This game is very, very fun!! Hard, although that is part of the fun of it. Great job!!
This is awesome! Not at all easy, but honestly that made it better. Great job :)
Nice game! I loved the flow of the game, and the music was aawesome!
This was a truly awesome game! Very fun...definitely a game to keep :)
This was very interesting and cool, but gameplay was a bit slow. I loved the concpet though, it fits the theme very well :)
This has a lot of potential to become a really cool puzzle game -- especially with a couple more types of towers, or barriers in the levels. You've got all the building blocks there for sure!
I was really excited to play this, but sadly the Wine launch on Linux did not work. Voice acting in the opening was incredible though. If I have time I might boot into Windows later on to give it a go.
I love deck-builders-- and this one felt really well done! Super cool way of handling magic, and a great entry overall! I'm also very impressed by the summonable crows -- those seem like they'd have taken some work to get right, but they feel very natural as allies.
Really cool concept --and I'm genuinely impressed that you got multiplayer in a compo game! The prince images are great too, and I like the art style overall
One of the best LD games I have played, hands down. Please do a Steam release of this -- I'd buy it.
Really creative entry.I found it hard, but pretty rewarding. Once I realized W was "towards the sheep" and not "up", it made much more sense!
Really creative idea -- I loved the puzzle aspect of it! The music fit very well as well
Really great graphics, fun gameplay. The opening cut-scene and death scene are hilarious. Found it a bit hard to raise the corn again, but aside from that it all worked very well.
This was a really creative game. My only comment is that a time-slow option when entering commands would be great -- it was a bit easy to miss the window for landing otherwise. Very cool idea though -- and a really creative take on the theme
Phenomenal game -- in all honesty, this is probably my favorite game so far (and there are tons of great contenders!) The aha moment of "the attacks are timed the the music" was great, the art direction was spot-on...and now you are making me want to try out Clair Obscur.
Please put an expanded version of this on steam. I'd buy it.
Liked the music a lot, and the gameplay overall was well done. My only major comment is that I would have liked slightly faster movement (or a run option) -- it self hard to maneuver around enemies without that.
It took me a second to figure out what to do -- but after that, the idea behind it made sense. I like the concept of building up flows to solve puzzles, but unfortunately did not get past the first puzzle due to a crash.
In any case, definitely something I think could evolve into a really cool game! And the idea is very cool and creative -- I've never seen anything like it.
I love the music! Game play was very fun and innovative (if telling the red and green apart took a second, I'm a tad colourblind. I don't mind that though, they were different shades which helps a ton)
I also had a ton of fun zooming out a lot and clicking randomly -- my score dropped in record time, but I loved seeing how fast I could get the stars to go!
It made a lot more sense once I realized I had missed the interact button! Nice puzzles -- and the infinite jumping at the end was fun!
Super fun -- and of course, even better for the LoTR reference!
I really enjoyed this -- it reminded by of Infinity Blade in a way. I feel like it would definitely have been better on a controller, but mine is a bit finicky at times, and I could not get it to work.
The design and aesthetic was great, and the music fit very well. Great job overall!
Unfortunately I'm getting stuck at "Loading texture ... 0%". I gather this is on my end as this works for everyone else in the comments -- but if anyone else has this error, would you mind letting me know how you fixed it? (I'm in Firefox private mode, no extensions, on the itch.io version)
I love how you lose minerals for "mining" the astronaut -- that was a great touch! Very cool game, but got a little repetitive by the end. It felt very factorio-like in principle, and especially with a couple extra abilities it could become a super automation game.
EDIT: Wait I'm so silly that's how you build the antenna. Nice -- that explains why nothing happened when I hit 500!
Things I loved - graphics - voice overs -- these added a lot to the mood - use of the theme -- radar was awesome here
Things I found hard - I placed defensive units, but it did not seem like they were attacking the enemies.
Gotta respect a 3D game in LD -- that's always a feat! Nice take on the theme as well!
