Good job! I loved the music, and the graphics were pretty good too. I'm not quite sure what to do to get the final piece of garbage though. Other than that, well done!

@pixel-studios Thanks so much for playing and leaving a comment! If you'd like to see the full ending and hear the "space version" of the theme music, I wrote down a hint as well as a full solution to the puzzle here: https://gist.github.com/kalgynirae/1d190c6d99b0853e835e525ca3d6b5e7. Probably we should have done a better job at nudging toward this in the game itself! Oh well :)
No worries. Thanks for the hint, I probably should've figured that out. Well done though
I finally managed to do what all trash collectors aspire to do: launch a dumpster into orbit :)
The music was great, and the art style was nice and cohesive... a good start to a mouse-based treasure (trash) hunt!
Cute little game. I had a bit of trouble starting the game (took about 10 attempts to click before anything happened) but once it worked it was all good. Managed to get all 19 without the hint too, very clever little puzzle. Wish the game was longer
As a tiny puzzle game, it's quite nice! The pixel-art and the music are very good! Well done!
About the secret puzzle: I made the right things (I won't describe more because there may be more people that want to solve it), but I still can't see the 19th piece. This is a bug or something? I hover the whole area with the mouse and nothing happened. I followed the solution as well. :(
I collect 18 out of 19 and the game ends. Is this a bug?
@planetary Not sure if you're wanting another hint, but in case you are: The "Trash" you're looking for is *outside* of the area you likely hovered over. Thank you for playing!
@apdt It is intentional, but we agree that it ended up being confusing! You need to do something specific during that level to unlock the ability to collect the last item; if you don't do this, the game ends after 18 because collecting 19th would be impossible. If you're interested in trying to get the 19th, there is a hint linked in the "How to play" above. Thanks for playing regardless!
@pegasys I'm sorry you had to suffer from my poorly-written code! The game loads the music and sound effects one at a time in the background (with no visual feedback), and the game won't start until they've all loaded. Thanks for playing!
The ending was pretty cute! I would have loved to see more 4th wall stuff!
Great jorb! Love the 19th trash.
This game is not trash. It rules. It makes me so happy. So good, jeez.
I also couldn't find the final piece of garbage! I love the old school vibe though. Great sound effects
That was pretty hilarious when the start button fell, and I also somehow managed to figure out the hidden trash without reading the guide!
Loved the startup screen with the start button -- that was super creative. Cool concept, and the music and sound effects really fit!
Coming from your post-mortem of sorts blog post.
I had to do couple of replays and then I also read the comments to understand how to finish the game. That would be a bad thing, but I really liked how the final idea is handled, that includes the joint usage of things, the spillage. Even after reading your blog post I didn't fully expect it and enjoyed the surprise.
There were couple of games like this (i.e. using more than the initial game area) in earlier LDs and this idea always comes off to me as quite innovative - maybe because it's rare and not really expected. And it's fun.
Congrats on the entry, it's nice to see participants do experiments like that!
Fun little game! Love the creative start screen, great stuff
Funny game. Only nitpick is it could have some visual que that item is picked and draggable. Even if it's just lifting it a couple of pixels up when clicked. I nearly skipped the game without realising I was supposed to drag.
Great idea integrating the menu in the gameplay. I think i collected *everything*Bildschirmfoto 2025-10-21 um 10.29.24.png
