Hey man, your game gives me an error on the map screen. Going to bookmark and come back in a few days, hopefully you can sort it out! I'll edit this comment accordingly when I can give it a real playthrough.
The error: "Uncaught exception thrown in Thread[LWJGL Renderer Thread,6,main] OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space"

Ran around for a while offending people because I told them I was experienced in the ways of fire. How dare I mock thee with my fire knowledge!?!?! My character seemed to like jumping a whole lot, after teleporting from the first level they just jumped up and down constantly. Luckily my 2 new companions did not seem to mind.
Tried to play, but when I run it, I get a big map screen, and nothing else. Tried all the listed keys, and didn't get any results.
Thanks for the feedback! @burgee We haven't seen that error before, so we'll look into it and hopefully sort it out. @oxrock Glad you enjoyed it! @aircraft-terrier When you get to the map screen, if you click once a start button should appear in the upper left of the screen.

I got it to run, you have to extract the files first. I didn't get any text on my screen, and the two buttons were blank. It looks like maybe it's an interesting game but it's hard to tell. I also had some frame rate issues, you may want to look into doing level of detail for distances.
Thanks for the information, I'll keep that all in mind! And so you know, the text will only appear after pressing left shift when next to an NPC--you have to be quite close to get them to notice you.
My computer has resolution 1560 x 1600 and the game seems to have UI problems on it. The text on the right is extremely small to read and there are two blank buttons at the right bottom of the screen. I seemed to be spawned at different locations every game. The concept sounds good though.

When I played the game it lagged terribly. I think the number of trees was the cause of it. The cameras draw distance was too small so hills and buildings appeared into view from nowhere. Talking was working for me. The aesthetic reminded me of elder scrolls 2. Are the maps randomly generated because everytime I started the game there was a different map? It is really impressive that you have managed to create a game from scratch because it had: random map generation, character controller, mouselook, AI, dialog, spell particles and many more that I probably missed.
Thanks!!! I'm very happy you seem to like it!
The maps are indeed randomly generated. However, since we entered this into the jam we were allowed to use a pre-existing code base, which is why we had that. I should also note that the generation algorithm, while procuding nice results, is expensive on the CPU and RAM, and I think it has caused some of the start-up errors people have been reporting.
Also, I have noticed the trees issue before, and that is actually part of the reason I shortened the range of vision. Yet Im sure there is a better way via LOD / poly count control

i have a mini issues but the game is great, you are a good team never give up, and keep make videogames, if my english is a kind of weird sorry about that
Thank you very much @lamm! It means a lot to hear that, and I am very glad you have enjoyed it!
Really cool game! Could be polished in a few sectors, but overall I liked it. There was a little bit of lag, I think because of the randomly generated terrain? Was the terrain generated previously, or is it generated during play? Nonetheless, had fun while playing your game! :D Good luck, hoping that you continue on to complete this game, or make a new game. Can't wait for that! :)
@krishnasism The terrain was randomly generated, which is why each scenario took some time to load. And I'm glad you enjoyed it!
pretty good, but frame rate seemed to tank when looking at the trees.

Sadly I have to report I can't play this because it gets stuck at map screen, clicking does not make the start bvtton show up, that goes for both compo and fixed version of game.
Thank you both very much for the input! @rogue-studios, that issue was adressed in the post-jam version we uploaded if you would like to try that out. @kr4ft3r, we have had reports of similar errors before, and beleive that the cause is the map generation system (since each map is generated from scratch). As of yet, however, we have not been able to find an effective solution to the problem.

Interesting game, good for 72 hours and the dialogue trees was a cool touch. I wonder if maybe if it was done in 2D rather than 3D more could have been done in the time like tutorialisation.
