nice game! Could have used more info on how to play, but it was a good experience overall
Sorry at the moment the army is a little broken! We will fix it shortly Come back soon!
Guess the AI is not fixed yet... it was fun shooting at enemies until I got swarmed and killed almost instantly. Can definitely see a great game here if you get the AI working :D
@syrapt0r thank you for the feedback, we are working hard to figure out the issue.
@syrapt0r @papacheech @dawik9000 The AI has been fixed aswell as a few other bugs!
The font is pretty basic, gameplay is fun and the idea is really cool, this could be an awesome little game with some more polish and maybe add abilities of some sort to shake up the gameplay. Overall, pretty good. :)
@jack-maxwell thank you for your feedback, we plan on expanding upon the gameplay in the future. : )
Score: 755 Is it not much D: haha! Nice Job!
I think there's quite a potential in this game, gameplay is engaging even barebones, after adding some features and polish I can see publishable commercial game. I would also add optional mouse aiming.
Hello done a video review of your game https://youtu.be/Jo5VgMO3sR8
Looks good! Polish it a little and you have a good mobile game to distribute. It could move with the gyroscope or just add screen buttons and sticks!
Got about 2500. The game ended only cause I wanted to see if I could lose by multiplying :P. Solid game though, good job!
@drnoir THANK YOU so much for review of the game, it means a lot.
Good job guys. It works well! I really liked having an army of green minions. It would have been nice to have more audio cues, especially when the player looses health. I look forwards to seeing what you guys make next time! Oh! and thanks for the review!
There you go! Played and rated! Pretty cool!
Cool game with a neat concept. I just found it confusing at first with little explanation on how the game worked.
thank you @cameron-dunlap for your feedback. We will add more explanation shortly
Very funny, score: 900~ it will be nice if you publish the code in github, to see how you do the ai
@rodel77 Umm the ai is kinda all over the place however the principles of how the ai works can be found here.

Interesting fact: This type of movement was used in heard scenes in the lion king!
Cool game!
Gameplay could be faster, but I like it overall.
Reeally cool. I didn't expect much and was pretty amazed!
This game really fits the theme. The graphics were nicely done. The audio is appropriate
@noah-beckman oh, thanks! Another thing that i learn from ludum dare
Very nice game. It definitely fits the theme, and I enjoyed playing. I liked the music and loved the effect used in the background for the blood stream. The font used was a very basic font and didn't really fit the theme. It also seems like UI elements that were not related to gameplay may have been done last and you may have run out of time as they were not as well done as everything else. Overall, good job. Would love to see what you do with this later.
Sucks that you didn't implement shooting in 8 directions instead of four. But that will wait in a future update, right?
Hey thanks for rating my game. I'd love to return the favor but I'm on a mac. I tried running the build you have for windows through wine, but I couldn't get that to work. If you get a webgl or a mac build up, please let me know :)
thank you for the suggestion @moonlightbomber we will consider adding that soon!
hi @jasperarmstrong im sorry that you were unable to play the game. I'll let you know as soon as another build is ready
Haha, we had a similar setup. Nice artwork
Fun concept, we almost made a VD game. Ended up going quite a different direction. Game moved a little slow for me, but the graphics were nice and it was easy to understand.
@illabom No worries, enjoying seeing how creative everyone has got with the theme, and I enjoyed your game. Keep doing it.
A shooter with some fun new ideas. I would have liked a bit more to do, but it is okay. The graphics is good, and music is okay, but the music loop is a bit short. Overall a fine LD game. Well done.
This would be a lot more fun if you could move faster. Concept was solid, but I didn't feel like it was "the more you have, the worse it is" as much as it could have been. However, it was still a neat concept and I'd love to see more done with it in the future.
Also, the soundtrack was decent and the atmosphere was good.
It is quite fun to play, but quickly got easy when you find out the dynamics. Will play again a few times more :D
Reminded me of Agario :D
Great idea of gameplay, innovative and very cool to play!
Hmmmmmm... nice. I also made a medicine related game :D
Really impressive, I enjoyed playing. Interesting that you're only highschoolers and could manage this. Keep it up.
Very fun game! I really liked it, nice graphics and controls. The only suggestion I would make is for the game to have more types of sounds and music! Good job
Awesome game! The music complimented the game quite well, and built a really good mood for the game. Gameplay is pretty great. Good work!
This is a very fun and interesting game and I enjoyed the whole concept. I like your interpretation of the theme and what you did with it :)
Really interesting concept. I think it would be even more fun if you got it working with a controller to make it a full twin stick shooter.
With a bit of polish and some juicing this game could be a popular one. The core gameplay is super solid, the strategy and risk vs reward factors are there, it's super well done.
Right now, shooting feels a little slow and weak, a punchier sound effect and some particles would go a super long way (I know it's not easy to do in a jam, I'm talking for future work since it looks like you plan on expanding based on your other comments).
Taking over dead cells and making an army is super satisfying, nice idea and good execution!
Game is pretty good, I like the way you designed it, but what I loved were the graphics, they're really good and go hand in hand with the theme. I also like that you pushed out updates, fixing stuff that was broken.
Overall, it gave me a nice experience and it was pretty fun.
Nice game dude ! I love the Music & the concept ! Please for your next game, think about frenchies, which move with zqsd instead of wasd (but dw we can switch to qwerty whenever we want).
Anyway, thats a nice game, cool entry , good job !!
Interesting concept, well executed and the music helps with the mood.
With a little bit of polish you can have a good game, maybe allow different types of attacks, strategizing where to attack, or even multiplayer so you can infect with a friend. I feel that you have lots of possibilities, and the game already is entertaining, will only benefit from the additions. Congratulations :)
Very nice and well done game!!! The concept was clever and greatly executed and the game got harder with the time but it still was a lot of fun! The art was ok but the music really set the mood in a great way for me. Overall nice job!
Not bad. The controls could use some polish. I felt sluggish and limited in the directions I could move and shoot. Turn it into a twin-stick shooter, speed it up a bit, and it'd be a much better game.
The game is awesome. I especially liked the fact that it is necessary not just to kill enemies as soon as possible to get to their dead bodies and revive, drawing her!
I very much so enjoy the general concept, but I didn't have a goal that was clear to me. I ended up wandering around not bothering to revive anyone until I had 100 health (Which causes the letters HP to disappear ;) )
I made it to around 3,000 points and 110+ Hit Points before I kind of figured the game wasn't going to end. Slight suggestion, as the player gains more and more hit points the enemies should become more aggressive. I could easily dodge a group of enemies by using them to block and push each other, then quickly shoot and kill them all before they could change directions.
This is great work, I hope to see you all in future Ludum Dares.
@mrtroy thank you so much for your detailed suggestions. We will take all of them into consideration. Best of luck to you
Cool fun game!!!
Interesting take on the theme. I loved having the little green U helpers. Here's my live stream I did on it: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/208824772?t=00h11m54s
@terryg thank you so much for the review! We really appreciate the feedback. Good luck on your game!
Fun game, music works well, I like the sound effect when you shoot. However, I feel that you should be able to hold down a button to keep shooting in that direction.
Cool game! With more polishing, this could become great!
My main critique goes to the shooting controls: I think you can aim better with the mouse, for example, as right now you're limited to shooting in 4 directions only. If you plan to make this a mobile game, dual sticks would be perfect.
Congrats!
I liked the idea! I think with other background music it would be awesomw. Good job!
I like the concept, even though I wasn't very good at it. I kind of wish you didn't lose health when you revived someone, since I quickly decided that is wasn't worth reviving anyone but the biggest guys.
One complaint I have is that it really doesn't scale down all that well: menus get cut off at lower screen resolutions. I know this is pretty common for 2D Unity projects and (not having used Unity that often) I don't understand why. Just something to consider for the next jam :)
cool game, the idea r really nice!
Come check out my game if you like! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/snake-1
Cool games guys! Brilliant audio, if only I could compose half as well as that :sob: Well done
Neat concept. It's fun taking over enemies and watching them hunt down the other enemies. The health/resurrect trade off is interesting, and the controls work well. There could be more enemy variety, though.
The background looks nice, but I'm not that keen on the rest of the visuals. The UI with generic text looks a bit unfinished - it would nice if the health display fit more with the game's theme.
The music and shooting sound effects are good. However, it feels like sounds are missing (recruiting an enemy, collecting health, getting hit, etc.).
Nice approach. I would really love to shoot in all directions like Contra. Even the graphics gives me a feel of the organic enemies in the Contra game.
You guys can also do a lot more with the AI. GOOD lUCK !
Music was lovely. Controls are simple and the mechanic is deviously simple. Very good idea executed in a clever fashion. To improve you could add more variety to the enemies, in that they do different things other than having more health and shape.
Well done :-) Its and interesting cool game. Good Job!
Nice job! I love the graphics and the idea. The game was easy to pick up and ran smoothly
It was fun to play for sure ^^ I would liked to have some temporal upgrades like faster shooting. Also crowd control would been nice in a future update. The game is great with a lot of potential. Keep it up!
Nice gameplay and mood! :)

Well done! When I resurrected bits to become viruses I felt powerful. When I looked at the images of the cells, I felt like I was inside a bloodstream. If you continue to develop this game, when I used WASD and arrow keys I didn't feel proficient at coordinating my shooting and moving. When I died, I didn't see anything hit me so I wasn't sure why I died.
It's kinda cool that we both had the idea to make a game inside the human body using viruses and bloodcells. Just in very different ways lol.
Hey guys! If you want to watch me fail, then here's a little video in which I also take a look at Virus Detected: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YoYb4Qywy04
I really enjoyed this game. It reminded me a bit of Reassembly. I was trying to figure out what the connection to the theme was when I died after reviving a dead cell. I hadn't been hit once and bam, I just died. Playing again I actually paid attention and saw that reviving the cells takes away from your own HP. I enjoyed that mechanic and was more careful with what I resurrected and when.
Really cool idea and well executed, I had a lot of fun playing it! Some possible improvements would be a run or dash (movement felt a little slow) and not having to press a button for each shot fired, but rather being able to hold down a button to continue firing in that direction. Good job overall!
I hope you work more on the army AI, but other than that its a nice game... good job :3
Nice game you have here. SUPER WELL DONE!
