LD37 — One room

You shall not pass! by Givit Game Studios 2016-12-13T06:43:00

Fun game, my only complaints would be that it seems kind of weird to pivot the rotation of the guy around the gun instead of the center of his body, and I had to scroll quite a bit to switch weapons.

ISS - Infuriating Space Simulator by Scruffy 2016-12-13T01:42:00

I really liked the look of the game from what I saw, but I couldn't get any of the numpad controls to work. The visuals and the the audio were great.

Flat Zombies!!! by klams 2016-12-13T02:19:00

It was pretty cool, but the swinging of the bat was kind of weird (didn't always hit even when it seemed like it should have), I was invincible, and it didn't look like there was any sort of score being kept. Could be very fun if those issues are fixed.

Le Rest'ouf by xclementx 2016-12-13T02:06:00

Cool idea. Very fun. The throwing sometimes felt a little bit off, but most of the time it felt good. There were a couple of times where the food would randomly disappear off the conveyor belt for no reason, not sure if that was intentional.

LD38 — A Small World

A Bloody Small World by blinry 2017-05-03T19:12:35Z

Very cool idea for a game. It was starting to get very hectic (in a good way) when I had to take care of all of the organs. The game looked great too. One thong that was kind of annoying, though, was that it was way too easy to get stuck on stuff. Also, sometimes some of the following red blood cells would stop following.

Tub of War by quill18 2017-05-01T22:39:23Z

This game is incredible. It's fun, it sounds great, controls great, and is very polished considering the 48-hour time limit. I can't really think of anything to improve other than just polishing it further, the concept is basically flawless.

Cowmets by NickZangus 2017-05-02T00:04:10Z

I love this game. The quality is incredible for a 72 hour game jam. I would love to see this expanded.

Space Turtle by Sebastian Lague 2017-05-02T07:30:35Z

Cool game! It's a really neat idea, and I think you did a good job implementing it given the 48-hour time constraint. A few people have mentioned the need for an inverted controls option, and I agree. The turtle seems like he should control kind of like an airplane, which typically use up for down and down for up.

Carefulzilla by glimaleite 2017-05-05T06:31:02Z

Very cool idea for a game, I had a lot of fun playing. One thing i noticed was that if you drag a foot too far, it's possible to get to a point where the camera isn't showing either of your feet, making it impossible to continue.

Earth Invaders by MrGussio 2017-05-01T21:37:09Z

Fun game! My high score is 672. Its looks good and it sounds good. The only things I didn't like were that the car was a bit too slow and there were a few instances where my shot grazed the edge of an asteroid and it didn't register a hit.

Supermarket Sneak by Rick 2017-05-03T01:27:39Z

Very cool little game! I love the art. I almost got out of the store without talking to anyone. The vision cones seemed to pass through walls a few times. Also, it would have been nice to be able to move diagonally.

Slice of Life by tweedle 2017-05-02T05:12:17Z

Cool game. The music and art were both great. The webgl version was a bit too big for my screen (1440x900).

Submersible by kleinzach 2017-05-02T00:19:52Z

I like this game. I could imagine it being good in vr too. The controls felt surprisingly good considering it was just clicking on buttons with the mouse. I personally would have preferred there to be some sort of goal or purpose, but I totally understand wanting it to be more about just the exploration.

Attack of the Planetary-Vampires by Rolle 2017-05-04T22:06:09Z

Very cool game. I got 9350. I think a bigger variety of enemy types would be nice.

Recoil Assault by Banana Man 2017-05-01T22:46:08Z

Cool game! I like the idea, it sounds good, and it controls well. One thing I will say is that it should maybe be made more obvious that you've lost a life when your health bar depletes all the way.

Rocket Roller Space Polo by pkenney 2017-05-06T03:24:14Z

Very cool game. I love the idea, the gameplay was fun, and the whole thing was very well polished given the time constraint.

Ronut by toestee 2017-05-01T22:08:13Z

This was pretty fun! It looked really good and the concept was really cool. The controls felt good, but I probably would have preferred the shoot and sword buttons to be swapped. I think it was a little bit too hard to die. It also seemed a little aimless, I couldn't tell if I was incrementing a score or anything like that.

D4RK and the Small Worlds by abhimonk 2017-05-02T05:23:36Z

That was really cool. The dialogue in this game is gold. Some it it seemed way too hard though (I couldn't get past the elevator thing).

Space Cowboy's Last Stand by jasperarmstrong 2017-05-03T18:56:46Z

@blinry Hmm, that's disappointing. Unfortunately, I don't really have a way to test on Linux currently. Were you at least able to get the webgl version to work?

Space Cowboy's Last Stand by jasperarmstrong 2017-05-10T20:51:30Z

@jupiter-hadley Cool, thank you!

Planet Hoppers by Snowdrama 2017-05-01T08:59:38Z

Pretty cool game! The balancing seemed to lean a bit too easy, I had to try not to escape from the black hole. Also, it was hard to tell if the non-warp gems did anything. I watched a bit of your stream, where I recall the gems being used as a resource used to activate the planet jumps, but I couldn't tell if that was happening in the final build. Good idea overall, though, and I could definitely see this being really cool with a bit of polish.

Globey's Revenge by gamesplusjames 2017-05-01T22:15:02Z

This was a really cool idea! It looked great. The movement could definitely use some polish though.

In Good Hands by simple-blue 2017-05-02T05:06:25Z

Very cool little game. The graphics and the music were both great. It would be nice if there was more to do though.

World Keep-Away by dracominer 2017-05-06T03:43:17Z

Cool idea! The jump definitely needs work, but it was otherwise a lot of fun.

A World In Her Eye by OrbitalBlueprint 2017-05-01T23:42:10Z

This game is great! I really like how you handled walking around the planets. The mac version didn't work (it just gave me the default love2d screen), but I was able to run the .love file directly.

A Giant Hitch by GenericToast 2017-05-01T21:54:06Z

This game is great. It was funny, it controlled well, it looked good and it sounded good. I would love to see more of this. The only things that needed work were that the ui was a little bit weird in some places on a screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio and during the eating section, there were a few time where the square's mouth was open when the food got to him but it didn't register.

God of Man by pstudio 2017-05-08T19:21:43Z

Interesting idea. I didn't understand what was going on at first, but once I did, I had quite a bit of fun. I would of preferred a visible timer on the abilities instead of making it invisible until available again. Also, I played the WebGL version, and the overlays made the screen completely black instead of showing anything.

Super Small-io World! by micahcowan 2017-05-02T05:28:36Z

I like this game. The movement felt very good. The enemies were a bit more unpredictable than I would've liked though.

Eine Kleine Insektmusik by davidthelazar 2017-05-02T00:08:32Z

This game is really cool. It was a bit easy, with the hammers forecasting that they're about to go down very early. Other than that, I love the idea.

Grubs by Hardly Difficult 2017-05-01T22:58:00Z

I was in and out of your stream throughout the weekend, and I had a lot of fun seeing you make this. The game was fun (I love worms), but could definitely use some polish. It would also be cool if there were some sort of bots for when no-one else is playing.

Penguin Deliveries by Nomaki 2017-05-01T22:51:35Z

This game is really cool! I like the idea and it looks really good. It is kind of hard to see how fast you're going with the background being static. Also, I think maybe the ship should explode or something if you slam into a planet really fast, it seems kind of weird that it just stops you and lets you continue on your way.

Giant Friend by fixedgerald 2017-05-01T22:24:36Z

The animations/graphics in general could be worked on, but the idea was fantastic, the audio was great, and it was overall a lot of fun!

Stable Orbit by mrspeaker 2017-05-01T23:05:56Z

I really like this game. The concept is great, the controls are good, it looks great, and it sounds great. It would be nice if it was made a little more obvious what the goal was. Once I did figure it out, it was a lot of fun trying to get the little astronaut in an orbit.

Be Like Bee by athomicus 2017-05-10T20:48:32Z

Cool idea! I got 10 points. I'm assuming there was some sort of timer that ran out, it would be nice to have some sort indication of that on the screen. It would also be nice to be able to change the look sensitivity, my bee turned way too fast.

Whale Fall by theslate 2017-05-02T00:11:45Z

I like this idea. One thing that bugged me was how long the guy took to fall down, obviously it's underwater, but I still think he could fall a little bit faster.

NO STEP ON HYOOMINS by makenai 2017-05-02T06:16:09Z

Cool idea! I had a lot of fun playing your game. It would be nice to have a better idea of what's underneath your foot before you put it down.

FUEL by KCreanor 2017-05-03T01:15:15Z

I had a lot of fun playing this, so much so that I beat the whole game! Some of the later levels were very challenging, in a good way. The one thing that I didn't like was the 3 second countdown before being able to start the level. I would have preferred the timer to just start after I moved for the first time. Also some of your buttons were inconsistent with which font they were using.

Food Force by Kinjin 2017-05-01T23:25:43Z

Cool idea! Obviously having scoring and sound would've been ideal, but this game has a lot of potential.

LD39 — Running out of Power

Pipe Trek by quill18 2017-08-01T00:35:16Z

Very cool game, especially taking the 24 hours you took to make it. I watched you make a lot of it during your stream and had a great time. Very tough to keep up with everything towards the later levels.

Yet Another Exhausted Day by Gao Ming 2017-08-03T01:23:58Z

Very funny idea for a game! Can definitely relate to your character's struggle. The blurring screen effect kind of confused me to begin with, until I realized it was the character falling asleep and getting snapped out of it when there was a knock on the door. Overall a lot of fun!

Power Stationed by ReboundGames 2017-08-21T03:07:08Z

Very fun game. Trying to manage all the different power sources at the same time proved to be very challenging. I liked the audio a lot, but some music could've helped. Overall solid game!

Chimster Gigafactory by Xarras 2017-08-04T01:09:29Z

That was a lot of fun! It was a cool idea, and the stuff on the tv was great. I feel the the difficulty could've been higher. Maybe it might've been good for there to be some penalty to one of the chimsters dying. Also, sometimes the drag and drop didn't work correctly.

The Day The Robots Attacked by jasperarmstrong 2017-08-01T21:01:52Z

@matoux42 Thanks for playing! I had a similar problem testing the mac build of my game (menu buttons not working), as well as other Unity games I've tried recently. If I wait like 30 seconds - 1 minute, they then work perfectly fine. I don't have that problem at all if I run the windows build through wine, so it seems like it might just be a problem with Unity's mac and linux builds. The player is supposed to turn toward your mouse, does it not do that on your computer?

The Day The Robots Attacked by jasperarmstrong 2017-08-02T04:18:52Z

@reax Thanks for playing! Charging the emp and going through the exit would be a "win", wouldn't it?

The Day The Robots Attacked by jasperarmstrong 2017-08-02T20:58:49Z

@xarras Thanks for playing! It's not really communicated anywhere unless you happen to notice it, but shooting a robot once will get it off the EMP.

Power Grid Manager by cudabear 2017-08-04T00:22:28Z

Cool idea for a game! It started to get very hectic when more of the houses came online. The art and music were great. One thing that kind of annoyed me was sometimes you'd need to hit one of the blue/red buttons for a house, and it would immediately need another one.

Last Bot Standing: Game of the Year Edition by Shaolin Dave 2017-08-04T00:38:49Z

Fun game! Like a modern Pac-Man. The art was nice, the music was fun, and the gameplay was really fun too! It did get kind of too easy once you get the hang of it. Also, when I won at the end, there was no way to see what my score was. Maybe I got 90?

Erebot by aevek 2017-08-21T02:48:46Z

Very cool game. Aside from issues with the camera, there was nothing that I didn't like about the game. The art was very nice and I had a lot of fun solving the puzzles. With more levels and a bit more polish, I could definitely see paying for this.

Mountaintop Groovy Robot Laser Battle by Jeremy Ryan 2017-08-04T00:11:30Z

Cool game! I had a lot of fun playing it, and the art and music were great. One thing I found is I could seemingly just mash the buttons for the most part, as long as I still dodged/jumped at the right times. Also you obviously didn't really package this for Mac, but I ran it through wine, after looking for a few minutes for the exe, which was hidden because the name started with a period. I guess Windows doesn't do this, but Mac and Linux hides files/folders that start with periods by default.

Jeff Long Run by Matoux42 2017-08-03T23:58:43Z

I don't know if it's just my computer, but I feel like it should've run more smoothly than it did. I am a big fan of The Impossible Game, and this seemed to do a pretty good job of emulating that, with the added difficulty of keeping your energy up. I couldn't beat the whole thing, but I had fun while I played. Also, it's cool to see someone using python. :) Cool game!

Battery Low by Freedom Is Slavery 2017-08-21T03:11:10Z

Cool game! It got very hectic trying to manage all the phones, and I found myself wanting to get a better score every time I lost. I think maybe some sort of mouse controls would've been good for this game.

And Here Again by PerduGames 2017-08-21T03:01:27Z

Cool little stealth game. The atmosphere was great, and I had a lot of fun trying to figure out the best path to take. It would've been nice if you could move diagonally, there seemed to be no reason to restrict it to only vertical or only horizontal. Overall very good though!

Operation Lambda by Schuster 2017-08-01T00:48:05Z

Cool little puzzle game. I was confused at first with the movement, because it wasn't immediately obvious, at least to me, that i was moving along a grid. It just felt kind of janky until I realized what was going on, but it was completely fine after that realization. A floor graphic that better corresponds to the grid that you move along would help. Had fun overall. I wish there were more levels :)

Operation Lambda by Schuster 2017-08-01T00:48:09Z

Edit: not sure why my comment posted twice

Forty2Eleven by rEaX 2017-08-04T00:31:24Z

This game is cool! The movement and the shooting felt very good, and the music was awesome! Obviously those rockets you have by default are supposed to not be very good, and you're supposed to find the powerups, but I think it would be nice if they were just a little bit faster.

LD40 — The more you have, the worse it is

Hover Burner by TimBeaudet 2017-12-06T02:03:08Z

Fun game. I really like racing games and this game fit into that genre pretty well. It took a while to figure out how the theme fit in, but I thought it was pretty clever when I realized the car was slower with more fuel. Maybe making that relationship more obvious would help.

Cool Hat Mr. Hat by bitslap 2017-12-09T02:36:25Z

Addictive, fun little game. Wedging yourself between the block and an enemy underneath was very satisfying. I really enjoyed the art, but having some music would've added a lot. I kind of wish there was some other way to die in the game, it was a bit too easy to stay alive. Overall cool game!

Oil Tycoon : Corruption Edition by sebbernery 2017-12-09T19:55:19Z

Cool game. Really interesting to see something made with html and js. I was doing well for a while until oil prices starting dropping like a rock even though the citizen relations were at 100 and not dropping. Also the congress relations were at 104. I tried building a bunch of schools but that didn't do anything. I started at $40 per barrel and it dropped to $5 per barrel, which ended up bankrupting me. I'm not really sure what I did wrong. Overall pretty well done though.

Saving Crying Bryan by gyfis 2017-12-09T07:25:05Z

Fun game! I had to run it from source because I didn't see a link to a mac build. I really like the idea, and the music/voices were great. I don't really have anything to say that you could improve other than just polish it up. Good job!

Snowmans Dilemma by JCMonkey 2017-12-05T02:59:51Z

Nice little game. The art was well-done. I would play a game like this with its mechanics expanded and polished. It would be nice if there was a bit more of a challenge as far as puzzles that you have to solve. All the levels seemed like you just had to take the shortest route from start to lever to exit. Also, this is pretty minor, but I didn't like how you could use R to restart in-game, but if you die, you have to click the button on the screen. Overall really cool though.

GeneNOM - Create Your Own Organism! by stencilchris 2017-12-05T20:48:34Z

Pretty cool take on a snake game! One bug I found was one of the nucleotides on the board got glitched and I would just pass through it every time I tried to collect it.

The burden by mathijs750 2017-12-28T03:12:07Z

Pretty neat little game, reminded me a lot of Journey. The atmosphere was really nice, and the game looked surprisingly good for WebGL. The audio was very well done as well. I guess the theme was sort of there, the character seemed to control worse when you collect a lot of the orbs, but that is kind of boring imo, and there also wasn't a very obvious goal. But it does definitely seem like you didn't get to do everything that you wanted to, so I won't hold that against you too hard. There definitely is something here that you could expand on to make a really cool game.

Holiday Parking Panic! by FormalCloud 2017-12-05T01:49:27Z

Very fun game. This game fitting the theme seems like a bit of a stretch. Also it would be nice if there was some sort of win condition. I got to 7 presents and couldn't find any others but the game was still going. Overall top notch though.

A Platformer for Ants by Elendow 2017-12-08T19:55:15Z

I really like like this. It is a very novel idea and fits the theme very well. The controls felt good, the music was nice, and it looked good. Definitely one of my favorites so far. One of the checkpoints seemed kind of pointless, like there would be no reason for me ever to activate it. Overall, this is one of the greats, and I could definitely see paying a few bucks to get an expanded version on Steam, with more levels, maybe more puzzle elements, etc. Good job!

Drgn by UnlikelyNomad 2017-12-08T23:58:03Z

Cool game! The art was great and the music was nice. The controls felt a little weird, it would have been nice to be able to go left/right without going up.

Bearhalla by madjackmcmad 2017-12-09T02:53:43Z

Solid twin-stick shooter. I had a lot of fun playing it. I loved the art. You managed to get a lot of content in there given the amount of time. You also got an online leaderboard in there, which is very cool. The sounds could've been better, but other than that, there's not much I can say as far as what to improve. Good job!

Lapped by somethinboutgames 2017-12-08T23:26:02Z

Really cool game. The game got very hectic towards the later laps with a bunch of your past selves to avoid. The art was minimal but did what it needed to. Some sounds would've been nice. Overall a nice idea and well executed. Well done!

Post Morton by nanolotl 2017-12-09T02:14:46Z

Cute little game! The art was on point and the sounds were good. I wish there was some music. Also some people walking around/cars driving around would add a lot I think. Overall really cool though!

BOXKILL by warxen 2017-12-08T21:49:52Z

Cool game! Kind of like asteroids.

Mr. Capital! by fluidvolt 2017-12-09T03:08:09Z

Very cool game. I though it was a pretty neat idea and good interpretation of the theme. I really enjoyed the music and sounds. Allowing jumps just barely past an edge would make the movement feel a lot better. Overall great entry!

Elden by red-fan-games 2017-12-08T20:06:53Z

Not going to rate because I couldn't get it to run on my Mac, but from what I've seen on a few different streams, this looks really cool. I'm not sure what obstacles there are in making a Mac build with the libraries you've used, but if it's possible and you end up making a Mac build, please let me know :).

Grammar Dystopia by Xarras 2017-12-11T23:28:01Z

Really awesome game. Gave you 5's for everything. It would have been nice to be able to edit my sentence without deleting the whole thing. Other than that, the only thing I could say for how to improve is just to add more.

Sad Knight by Quaternius 2017-12-05T22:05:57Z

This is really cool! There is a lot of polish here for a compo game. I though the movement was a little weird, the guy controlled kind of like a car lol. Overall one of the best games I've seen so far in LD40!

Tenants by spacewarp 2017-12-11T22:13:33Z

Neat little management game. It took a little bit to understand what was going on, but once I did, I had a good time with your game. I think it would have been nice for the potential tenants to have some sort of time limit to add a bit of a challenge, because as it currently is, you can take all the time in the world to make the next person's apartment. I also don't know if there was any way to lose, maybe I didn't play long enough. Overall though, with some polish and maybe some more mechanics to add to the challenge, this could be a really awesome game! Good job!

Mayfly by silkworm_sweatshop 2017-12-09T06:29:47Z

Wow, you weren't kidding about it being a dark story. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time wondering what was going to happen next. I was getting really annoyed when the character did pretty much completely the opposite of what I intended when the choices came up, but I imagine that's exactly what you were going for with this story. The way you did the music and sounds in this game was incredible. I usually don't really play these types of games, but I really enjoyed this one.

Loot Drop by Snowdrama 2017-12-08T20:57:12Z

I had a lot of fun playing this. The music was nice, the art looked good (other than the default Unity skybox :P), and the game fit the theme well. Also, the idea was pretty novel, and it was executed very well for the most part. I had to play the WebGL version because everything except for the main menu was black on the Mac version. Also a different button than escape for pause would be nice, at least on the WebGL version, because escape exits fullscreen on WebGL. On the green level, I'm not sure if I did the pulley thing the intended way. I pushed the box into the left platform and quickly jumped to the one on the right to get the key. Something about that felt kind of weird. Other than those issues, I had a lot of fun solving the puzzles, and beat the game with 3 minutes left on my second run.

I didn't know we still had that by Papaver 2017-12-28T03:20:01Z

Very nice little game. I had a lot of fun with it. The controls seemed kind of unintuitive to me, but I got used to them. I don't think getting rid of the control display after the first level was a good idea. The art and music were very charming. Also, the game got very hectic (in a good way) in the later levels when I needed to find more items. Overall, very well done!

PullPals by eric-lathrop 2017-12-08T22:34:19Z

Pretty cool game! I could definitely see this being good for mobile. The art and music were both very nice. Sometimes it was kind of hard to attach the arms, because the camera was moving too fast. Also I'm not sure it really goes along with the theme. Overall really good though!

Dog-Off! by BrothersT 2017-12-08T22:55:33Z

I had a lot of fun playing this! The art was great, I liked the music, it was a novel idea, and was well executed! For some reason the menu was kind of laggy, but the actual game ran great. Other than that, I can't really think of anything else that could be done better. Good job!

Bombs Away by Hagge 2017-12-05T02:14:02Z

Funny idea for a game. I had a lot of fun trying to win, and I got up to 1 bomb left before I found a glitch that made it really easy. If you spam the space bar when you're giving a bomb to someone, you can get rid of multiple bombs on the same person. Playing that way, I won with 20 seconds remaining. One thing I didn't like was how the character gets stuck on walls if you don't jump up perfectly. Otherwise, I think there's a lot of potential on an expanded version of this game with some polish. I had a lot of fun with it.

Santa's Factory by SaraMartins 2017-12-09T06:46:34Z

Cool little game. I love the art and the music was nice. You used the theme well. It was kind of distracting having the mouse visible on the screen while playing. Since you used Unity, all the code you need to make that happen is "Cursor.lockState = CursorLockMode.Locked;" when the game starts and "Cursor.lockState = CursorLockMode.None;" when you open a menu. Also, the game started to fell sluggish after a bit of time playing. Otherwise, this is a very solid game, and would be even better with a bit of polish.

Quadrilateral Damage by TheMadPangolin 2017-12-08T22:44:58Z

Fun bullethell game! The art was good, the sounds worked (music would've been nice though), and the game played well. Not really anything I could say to do better other than just polish it more. Very solid game!

Santa's Delivery Service by Bizbud 2017-12-09T01:33:43Z

Fun game! I love that you made it Christmas-themed. The music was really nice and the game looked beautiful. I think the relation to the theme is a bit of a stretch though. Overall very good though!

Here, Kitty! by Dr. Argus 2017-12-08T22:05:19Z

Cool idea for a game. I'm sure my cat would relate to this. The audio was very nice, the art was cute, and the game overall was a lot of fun. There's one part of the audio where you tell that it was looping. Also, it seems the kids just walk directly towards you, so you can get behind an obstacle and the kids will never reach you, so some proper pathing would be nice. Overall very good!

Babies with Guns by killerkun 2017-12-09T00:32:37Z

Cool idea! I had a lot of fun playing through it. The art was good. Some sounds would've been nice. The wall jumps felt kind of weird. Overall well done.

CrudeCarnageCars40 by elZach 2017-12-08T23:16:36Z

Fun game! I really like the idea, and the car surprisingly felt very good to drive. Unfortunately I was only able to do the WebGL one because there was no Mac build. Only things I could say as far as improving it would be more polish, more gamemodes, and less annoying music. Overall very cool!

Cardhoard by HacksawUnit 2017-12-06T02:16:48Z

I really like this. Definitely one of my favorites so far. It was a very clever idea, executed well, and the level of polish was insane for a compo game. I would love to see a full version of this. Great game!

Network Invader by drazil100 2017-12-09T02:25:49Z

Pretty fun game. I like the way it looks and the sounds are pretty good. Allowing the vertical controls to be inverted would be nice. Also making the pace a bit faster and making the game generally a bit harder would be good. There were a couple of times where I was getting hurt but couldn't tell what was hurting me. Not sure what's up with that. Overall well done though.

get>set by rela_x 2017-12-09T00:40:03Z

Cool little game. Very intuitive. The art was nice and the sounds were enjoyable. I've never been a fan of WASD on isometric games, but that's more of a personal preference thing. It would have been nice to have a shadow under the player to help judge jumps better and help with the depth perception. With some polish and some more levels, I could definitely see this being on Steam for a few dollars.

bullets by lunarDust 2017-12-09T20:07:23Z

Cool game, especially for your first LD. This could definitely be expanded into a really great game. What you could do to make it better is maybe add more levels, have a score for how many times you win without dying, or maybe have some sort of consequence for someone other than you or the green guy dying, and definitely add some sounds/music. Overall good job though!

Keep Away by felixsoum 2017-12-11T21:55:23Z

Cute little game. It was a pretty neat idea and was well executed. Sometimes a cat would spawn directly on one of my vases, which didn't feel too good. I didn't really have any idea why my score was what it was when I saw it after the game ended, so some kind of indication of the score and what was contributing to/taking away from it in game would be nice. Overall, nicely done!

Bloc by Blueman 2017-12-05T02:30:16Z

Clever idea given the theme. I had a lot of fun playing this. Maybe the difficulty could ramp up a bit faster. With how it is currently, there's a lot of waiting around doing nothing. Also if you could figure out how to make local multiplayer work, I think that could be really fun. Overall a really cool game.

Ludum Dart by kbjwes77 2017-12-08T21:24:42Z

Simple, solid idea. Well executed. The tutorial said something about scoring a bullseye giving you another dart, but that didn't seem to work. Also, the mouse probably should've been hidden. Overall very cool, though!

Overloaded by yishalee 2017-12-09T20:21:43Z

Cool little game! I had a lot of fun playing it. One weird thing was that it always saved the high score 10 less than it should have (e.g. I score 1250 and it saves the high score as 1240). Also it doesn't appear that the high score persists across multiple sessions of the game. Overall though, you did a solid job, you would just need to add some polish.

OverPowered! by Sir Mr Dr Prof Sr Jr PhD 2017-12-08T23:51:20Z

Fun game! The game got very hectic when I started to get more powerups. I thought it was a really interesting idea to have the enemies shoot powerups. The art was simple, but it worked, and the audio was pretty nice. Overall solid little game!

Heavy Hearts by Badly Drawn Rod 2017-12-09T21:39:23Z

Pretty fun, well-executed idea. Someone above commented that they'd like to see stealing balloons to increase buoyancy, I definitely agree with that. I really liked the voice, it was funny. Overall you did a good job!

Asteroid Crasher by erebus 2017-12-08T21:19:11Z

Very cool idea for a game. Everything about it was very impressive given how late you started. There's not really anything I can say you could do better as far as the core gameplay, just minor nitpicks. The movement felt a little rigid, maybe lerping the movement speed instead of instantly changing it would feel a little smoother. Also, something in the ui to show what you need instead of just in the beginning would be nice. As far as expanding the game, a mode where you need exactly the amount of asteroids indicated instead of at least what's shown could be interesting. This could probably make a nice mobile game.

RQ5: backup-dancer rampage! by Adrien Dittrick 2017-12-08T22:15:36Z

I really like what you did with this game. The puzzles were well done, and I actually really liked the music. The only think that wasn't great was that the input felt a little janky, sometimes the game would miss my input if I just tapped a button.

Virus Detected by NotSpaghettiGames 2017-12-06T08:40:40Z

Hey thanks for rating my game. I'd love to return the favor but I'm on a mac. I tried running the build you have for windows through wine, but I couldn't get that to work. If you get a webgl or a mac build up, please let me know :)

Greedy Dungeon by daul 2017-12-08T23:06:58Z

Very cool little game! The art was great, the sounds were decent, and the game played well. Also it appeared to be procedurally generated, which is cool. I'm not sure if there was some end goal, or if it was just to get as much gold as possible. Overall great job!

Techno Fever by detectiveLosos 2017-12-11T22:28:46Z

Neat little game. Reminded me of Party Hard. The art and the visuals were fantastic. The game was well-polished for what it was, but there wasn't much to it. Pretty much just punch things, and there's no way to die/lose. With some game mechanics paired with the excellent audio/art, you'd have an incredible game.

Free to Play by Hooraygil 2017-12-11T22:57:03Z

Neat little game. I really like the mechanic of using the ads as platforms. Sometimes the ads would spawn high enough to where the top part of the window was hidden and I couldn't move/close them. Other than that, the whole thing was very well done.

Running With Scissors by Daze 2017-12-08T20:20:43Z

Very cool game you've made. I feel like I've seen this mechanic before, but you executed it very well in this game, and it fit the theme beautifully. I really like the idea that everything that goes wrong in the game is your own fault. There were a few times where I wanted to move diagonally, but it's probably better that you can't. Also, the game started to feel like it was going on too long towards the end, especially when I got to the level with 25 kids to seat. Overall, though, this is great, and one of the best I've seen in this jam so far.

Droplet by ManBeardGames 2017-12-09T00:26:30Z

I had a lot of fun playing this. Sort of similar to agar.io. The look was simple, but nice, and the music was relaxing. I think I would've preferred for left click to toggle your color instead of having to left or right click depending on which color you wanted. Maybe the player could grow faster. Overall a solid little game.

Grim Groupies by Kramdar 2017-12-05T21:07:29Z

Fun idea! I couldn't really figure out how to get past archers or get them on my team, maybe I was missing something. I do see a lot of potential for a bigger game centered around this idea though, it could be very cool.

Fiscal Dungeon by Tom Panton 2017-12-11T23:10:14Z

Pretty neat idea. I liked the graphics, but the audio got a little annoying. I like the effect of the player bursting when they get too much money. I do wish there was some benefit to getting money, instead of it just being completely bad, so that you'd have to balance your money and make decisions. Overall, this is cool, and could be expanded into an awesome game with some further thought on the mechanics.

Rush Minute by searge 2017-12-05T21:42:53Z

I had a lot of fun playing this! As a galaga-like shoot-em-up, this game has a lot of promise. It seems like the difficulty could be ramped up quite a bit faster than it did. Also, It seemed like the damage and the hitboxes on the enemies' bullets were too forgiving. Also, quitting the game when you hit escape with no warning was a bit harsh. I was hoping it would pause the game, but doing that just quit the whole game. Overall a very cool game though!

Bloody Pop-ups! by CSdoesCS 2017-12-09T02:42:34Z

Fun, cute little game. I love the art. This type of game has been done before, but this is a very solid version of that. Overall well done!

Mortal Komba by kokirisandfriends 2017-12-08T22:21:34Z

Very nice game. Spot on with the theme, and the art and audio were both good. It gave me flashbacks to the jump rope in Super Mario Odyssey lol. It got very difficult having to manage multiple characters with different jump styles. Sometimes it felt like my input was missed, maybe because I was tapping just barely too early. Maybe still jumping if the button is hit just barely before landing would be better. Overall very good though!

1 Man 1 Lift by Sheepolution 2018-08-13T01:57:02Z

Your download link doesn't work

Words Dancer by Ango 2018-08-15T02:04:57Z

Cool idea! It got very difficult in the later levels, maybe a 3-hit system would be better than everything instakilling you. Overall great work though!

Outrunning Space! by drludos 2018-08-13T00:56:19Z

Nice game! Especially nice considering you made it in 2h30m. It's simple, fits the theme well, and is unique. At least I've never seen a game in the url bar before.

Too Many Boxes by jasperarmstrong 2018-08-13T01:35:48Z

@silvae Yeah, the movement code could definitely be better. I have noticed it feels much worse if the game starts lagging. Also if you're holding a box, it's pretty easy to get stuck on walls.

Setting Soul by Omniorcus 2018-08-13T02:28:05Z

Interesting game, I really liked the atmosphere you were going for. The music, audio, and visuals all worked together very well. It was really hard to navigate, but that seems to be the point. The only complaint I have is my mouse cursor didn't go away when I opened the game.

High Castle by Wheffle 2018-08-15T03:43:06Z

Awesome game! Very engaging, and I loved the music. It fit the theme well. While playing, I kept thinking that it would be nice to be able to rotate the pieces, but I see you can after reading some of these comments. Definitely make that more obvious in-game. I think you have a very good core here, just add more feedback to the players' actions and better sound effects.

SWORD1 by Lawrence 2018-08-15T01:54:45Z

I really like this. The way the game feels is very satisfying, and the art and music are great as well. Nice work!

Too Many Boxes by Silvae 2018-08-13T01:24:22Z

Cool game! I think there's a nice level of depth and strategy with how you can only stack to 3, fragile boxes have to be on top, but you have to also be quick enough that too many don't stack up on the scale and break it. My only complaint is that the movement felt kind of floaty.

Green Cover by Henry Sneed 2018-08-15T02:22:50Z

Nice game! I'm always a sucker for a good puzzle. Only thing I could say to improve is expand on what you already have.

CRUSHED - Rage Inducing Platformer by Ajay.2002 2018-08-15T03:00:43Z

Nice game! It has a vibe very similar to Limbo. Dragging the obstacles could use some work, if you drag up/down too fast you can clip through, and the drag left/right ones should pull you with it instead of having to move the character at the same time.

VCR STAR by erebus 2018-08-15T01:38:13Z

Very funny, original game! Your voice acting/art worked very well for this. Not sure why everyone was having so much trouble operating the VCR, it made sense to me. The only real complaint I have is not having a quit button, but that's pretty minor. Great work!

Adware Attack by AdonisDevs 2018-08-13T02:16:11Z

That was a lot of fun. I got 250 seconds. The game was simple, there were a lot of funny lines, and it got to be pretty challenging. One bug I found is that on one of the passwords, I typed what it said but the window wouldn't go away. What that made me realize though is that if I just put that password window out of the way and leave it alone, I don't have to do them anymore.

Hiding Spot by toboggan 2018-08-13T01:46:37Z

I really like this. I might just be dumb, but I couldn't figure out level 3. I'll probably give it another try later. There was a lot of polish for a compo game. I liked the music, and the mood was really nice too.

cargOS by tigerj 2018-08-15T01:47:13Z

Neat little game! It got very hectic (in a good way) as it progressed. I definitely agree with the above comments about mouse controls and queued movements being good ideas. I got frustrated when I would go to pick up a box off the conveyor and it would move before the arm got there, but I guess that's just something you have to learn to anticipate. Nice job!

Chef Frank's Franks by GhostGoatsGames 2018-08-15T02:28:00Z

Nice game! A well executed, cramped, Overcooked. The only thing I would say to improve it is add some music. Great work!

Noah's Help! by Ian Kettlewell 2018-08-15T02:41:04Z

Very nice game! I saved all the animals :) I think you nailed everything about this, and I could imagine spending hours trying to beat this if you expanded on it and released it for mobile.

Parking Ships by chekaaa 2018-08-15T02:46:39Z

Cool game! It fit the theme very well. I don't know if you intended for figuring out which directions the ships go to be part of the challenge, but if not, a "forward" arrow on each ship would be nice.

One Man's Trash by mike_inPrinciple 2018-08-15T01:22:27Z

Surprisingly fun for a game that was just clicking stuff on your screen. I liked the sounds/graphics and the game was a good challenge. I spent the whole time playing thinking it would be nice to rotate the view, but after reading some of these comments, I guess there is. It might be good to make that more obvious somewhere in the game. Also if playing in 16:9 is important, you can enforce that in the player settings section in Unity.

Glowium by Koltonix 2018-08-15T03:23:53Z

I love the aesthetic in this game. I also like the combination of cars and stealth. You say it's procedurally generated, but it seems like I always start in the same spot, maybe the seed needs to be randomized on every run? The camera clips into the buildings sometimes, not sure how to fix that. Sound effects, slightly improved driving physics, and maybe some sort of goal (instead of just how long you can last) would really make this game great.

Petri Panic! by Zeaga 2018-08-15T02:17:41Z

Simple, well done game! The art is great, and I really like the idea. The game seems to imply that it's winnable, but I'm not convinced that it is. I like that you have to be careful about how much goo you pick up since it spreads in the bucket and spills out. There should definitely be more to it than just running back and forth between the toilet and the goo, though. Nice job!

Space Run by mitsu.artemius 2018-08-15T02:54:15Z

Nice, simple game. I liked the sense of progression and the game felt good to control. It would be nice if there was some music. Also, I don't know if this is out of your control with Game Maker, but it would be better if the game didn't make you install it.

Rigid Flame by Teo Miklethun 2018-08-13T03:35:34Z

I really like this. I managed to score 27. It's simple, but it's still very engaging. The way the fire comes out and the way that the ship moves is very satisfying. The music is nice, and I think you nailed the theme. I like that the fire goes away after some time, since that encourages you to put more thought into where you're moving. I also like how the enemies are kind of smart and won't kill themselves on the fire.

wat do? by nikki93 2018-08-15T01:09:12Z

Fun game! It's a pretty interesting concept and I like the sounds. The only complaint I have is the the controls seem overly sensitive for the kinds of movements the game expects you to make.
