Explored very far. Huge map.
Interesting concept, would have played longer if more people had played. Found this on Reddit by the way.
I compiled the source myself using Love2D, [you can get a playable version here](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Q4JGKrpJaqWL_PVFvS-QanF_QI2Fq3DM/view?usp=sharing)
It's actually a pretty decent game, challenging and it looks nice too. Wish it had some sound effects or music, but it's a great start!
Like the game, works well for only having one button for the user input. Wish the enemies didn't spawn in places that were impossible to dodge. Solid game otherwise!
Cool game, like the developer said; it could use a bit tweaking for some things, a little polish here and there. Overall, not a bad game! Liked the grapple hook mechanic. As wonky as it was, it worked! Level design was great at the start teaching the player how to get around. It grew a bit harder and less organized as the game went on, but that's likely due to time constraints. Good start to a cool game.
For some reason I love old retro shooters like this one. Stayed true to the genre with a little twist. Only thing I would change is make it safer to respawn just after dying. Seemed like I would crash into a ship or bullet as soon as I spawned. Other than that and not being able to mute the game, I like it!
Loved the art and the way you jump! Interesting mechanics with the switched and walljumping as well. More levels and a better AI to battle with would have made this a near-perfect game, but I understand the time restraints make those kinds of things unnecessary. Good work, maybe keep working on this!?
Very difficult to aim and move when you're hitting the bottle too hard! Could have been a little less twitchy in my opinion. Relatively little game polish, but that's forgiven because the time constraints. Liked the idea though!
@okk Great! I'll be more than happy to try it out!
With more time I'm sure this would have been a very interesting game. Unfortunately it's unbalanced and a little buggy in it's current state. However, that's something I can look past since the idea seemed to be promising. Would like to see a finished version of this game!
This is one of my favorite pico-8 platformers. Really cool mechanic tying the max health to gold collected. Just the right amount of difficulty in my opinion. Great job, not much criticism to give since almost everything was done well, especially for the platform you chose.

This game's aesthetic **AND** gameplay is some of the best I've seen yet on here. Simple, effective, but most importantly fun! I love how the tutorial felt so natural, like you weren't playing a tutorial at all. Great job, would like to see more!
Can someone say Indiana Jones? Cool game!
Just wanted to leave a comment so you can understand maybe why your game may not get a lot of feedback; I couldn't open the game because I don't have Java installed. I'll install it and come back to your game in a bit.
**THE PIG EARS WERE PERFECT!** Great little golf game with an emphasis on ball control. Love the humor and lighthearted destruction of the little snorters. Good work!

Not bad for a first game! Liked that you added the "hard-mode", adds some replayability on top of me trying to beat my highscore. Good job.
Starts a bit slow, but when it gets going... IT'S WILD. Cool game.
Eat a few souls, become a fat ghost, what more could a player ask for? For real though, interesting concept with a quirky theme/story. The puzzles weren't too difficult which I liked. Seeing that this wasn't your first jam made sense, it was a solid game!
Neat game with enough features that I kept playing for a bit. Level 5 was the highest I reached! Loved all the effects. Screen felt very crowded, but I guess that's part of the difficulty. Good work!
I really like this take on the classic Snake game. The snakes you spawn go for pellets and spawn their own little snakes, what a neat idea. Loved that they have some decent pathing too. Was a very solid game, just wish there was an option to speed up or slow down the game. Great entry!
(Highest score was 1200 I think!)
Footstep/jumping sounds were great, bullets were comically small. I liked the premise of the game, it almost had my attention until I had to walk down enormous hallways with nothing to do. With that said, could use some work.
Was like DOOM, Chromagun, and Super Meat Boy had an 80's neon baby! Neat game, wish it had more polish in terms of sounds and level design. Good stuff for the amount of time you had. Congrats on finishing by the way!
@behenate haha don't be too hard on your game, we all feel the pressure of the time limit. Just make sure you learn from your mistakes. It's a learning experience, judging by what you said it seems you have a firm grasp on how to do better next time. I see the potential!
I was playing for a bit, didn't really understand what I was doing. But I got this error message, thought you might want to see it as you said you were going to fix some things for a future version.

Idea was interesting, wish there was more backstory or instruction on what to do. But it seems like a cool concept. Good work on the telephone mechanic, reminded me a lot of Hotline Miami in that aspect.
This is almost a perfect game! Loved the laser boxes, very cool idea. Great job.
A little overwhelming with the pacing. Would have liked to have more time to make the pizza before I had a pile of stuff to sift through. Cool concept though, was fun racing around to do each task.
Audio was great, the feedback you get from each sound is great. Idea was simple but effective. Quite a hard game, challenging but fun! The ultimate attack was a cool touch. Music was a little obnoxious, but props for having made music for the game in the first place. Great job!
This is a great chill game. I've been seeing a lot of these things lately, this seems to be not only the most stable, but also the most stylized and unique. I know it's not finished so I tried not to be too harsh with my rating. Good stuff, would genuinely like to see a finished version! Also, it's pretty funny.
Those ghosts were hard to navigate around, lots of strategy for such a simple idea. Cool game, would like to see more of this!
@dogsquad Good try! My one buddy got this highscore, don't worry I can't beat it either!

@mrnyarlathotep **HOLY COW...** Thank you for bringing that to my attention. The source was already pushed to my Github, I had just forgotten to add a link to it here! Sorry about that.
@reality-blind In case you want to give it another go, you throw darts at the dartboard area marked by the number displayed around the wheel. What I wasn't super clear about is that the bullseye is part of the sequence and you can't hit it on every turn. That seemed to be a miscommunication on my part. Let me know if that clears things up!
Cool mashup between a snake game and top-down action game. Would have liked more lives at the start or a way to earn more of them, didn't finish the game because I kept dying too much and restarting from the beginning. Like the art, sounds were alright. Solid little game idea here, execution could be a bit better but good job overall!
It's funny. You would think with a clicker game as simple as this, I would have just pressed Z on the same card the whole time. But I started formulating a plan to get the most efficient reward by choosing cards in a specific way. A neat little time waster, thanks for making this!
Reminds me of Super Crate Box! Cool game, needs a bit more polish but given the amount of time you had, it's not bad. Was surprised how many enemy types you had!
Definitely one of the better clicker games I've played, the bullet hell twist was a brilliant idea. Music + audio pitch-randomization would be nice, maybe if the pace of the coin-farming picked up a bit I would have played longer. Good game though, nice original idea!
Beat the game! Thanks for streaming my game btw.

So for your game, I really like the core mechanic. Seemed like it was easy to accomplish but also hard to master. I was interested when I jumped to a later level and the music picked up a bit. I liked the idea of having to take different kinds of asteroids with you, as well as trying not to destroy the space portal with your payload. The little things like the music, the ship moving slower with the inertia of a larger payload, and the asteroids moving to the background when destroyed really show that you took what little time you had and made the most of it. I would have like to see more levels, maybe a mine that destroyed all of a certain type of asteroid, better art if you had more time obviously. But for the time you were given you used it pretty well. Great job.
Very hard game, the AI is **super** aggressive. It seems that the levels are randomly generated which gives some replayability. I stopped playing because an enemy pushed my through a wall and I had to back out to the main menu. Needs some work on the collision detection/response ends of things, but not bad.
Couldn't help but think of the game Motherload while playing this. Would have loved to have some sort of progression or reward system to make things more interesting. Maybe something that would help collect wood faster, or maybe enemies that chase you?
Art is beautiful, game has a simple but effective loop going on. Atmosphere was nice, would have chosen a different track for the music personally but that's not something I'd take points off for. Good work! Got a highscore of 302!

Just difficult enough that I got all six minigames going at once, but failed nearly all of them immediately after. Like a little Warioware/Four Second Frenzy game!
Jumping didn't work for me so I couldn't complete the first level. Was a simple little bullet hell, with a cool twist that you could hide behind those boxes. Would like to see the movement improved, but it was fun for what time you had!
Like the tone of the game, even though it's a little mature and dark. Cool submission, would like to see a fleshed out version of this!
For some reason or another I was not able to download the game through the link you provided. Could I get a mirror perhaps? Thanks!
@Akscan that .7z link worked perfectly. Neat game, brought up Don't Starve in my head while I was playing. Drank too much coffee and died the first time! Could use some work but it's an interesting idea. Thanks for the help getting it to work!
Love the art. Gameplay was interesting at first. Just felt a bit like tag after a while. With a little work this could be a really engaging game!
First off, let me say that this game has the most polish of any game I've seen yet. The art and the music (plus the transition stretching of the audio) was really great, loved the animations and how fluid the characters seemed. The skill tree system gives a lot of replayability even though there's just one level.
A great entry with a lot of potential, I hope to see a more fleshed out version with more levels to explore.
Neat twist on the zen-garden idea. Who knew lasers could be so relaxing!?
Didn't really understand what the winning conditions were. I tried shooting planes and it didn't seem to do anything. Cool idea, just wish it had better execution.
This is one of my favorite games so far. Fits the theme well. Music works together with the game. Controls were exactly what I expected, loved trying to get the bottles to pour just right. Had a similar idea, but your execution and realization blew it out of the water. Sound effects were nice too. All around great game.
I like the conceal mechanic, reminds me a lot of the Metal Gear Solid series. Levels were easy to complete, but hard to collect all of the coins so that was nice as a challenge to players who wanted something a bit harder. Art could have used some work as I didn't really understand what was going on at first, but other than that it was a solid start to a cool game!
Love the low-poly art! Bunny hopping was cool, takes a while to start going fast but it does help. Would have liked to have more in-game feedback (like blood or bullets!), and had more things to do than just shoot enemies for ammo. Map worked well, kill-feed was cool. Good work.
What a beautiful interpretation of the theme! The puzzles were great, just the right difficulty. Very clever with the overwrite mechanic, well executed. Typewriter sounds were a nice touch!
I don't recommend exporting as an installer! Cool game though!
screen.jpg
Holy cow that was a lot of enemies! Awesome music, cool SFX and art. The game balancing was a little weak, but I feel that's the case for a lot of game jams, it's hard to get it right with such little testing. Good job on the theme, and the variety of buildings and enemies as well. Nice job!
Pretty clever idea! Would have worked better with bigger blocks and a smaller map, but that's minor. Good job!
Quite relaxing! Cool game, I enjoyed the music and the swaying grass!
SFML ftw! Very literal interpretation of the theme. Can't say I'm disappointed!
Very clever! A little tedious, but that's coming from someone who doesn't like turn based games as much as real time games. Still a solid game, exactly what I expected from a turn based bullet hell!
I really like the design and the aesthetics, the idea is pretty clever as well. The execution just isn't there, I wish I could have had a better jump arc with an indicator of where your jump will take you. Hope to see more from this!
You and I had the same idea! (at least at some point during the compo)
Really liked that the AI played randomly, adds some "complexity" to the game instead of a poorly implemented AI that gets in the way. Glad you put cooldowns on the pieces!
Really seems inspired by Undertale meets Don't Starve! Lots of neat effects and interactions for only 48hrs! Good job!
Really liked the concept. I think the actions could have been implemented better once you grabbed the letters and typed the commands, it felt awkward to go directly from typing to platforming. Still a nice use of the theme, enjoyed the keyboard typing sounds as well!

Really interesting execution of such a simple concept. For what you've down with the constraints of the 48hrs, I think you've got a knack for good design. Loved all the easing and tweening too, feels really fluid and still responsive!
Interesting idea! I was getting frustrated waiting for the blocks to fall, then I pressed "S" and realized I could make the blocks fall at my command. Cool design, only complaint is the collisions are a little buggy. Everything else was just up to polish and fleshing out the design. Good work!
