nice
Unable to run, bad pickup then game dissapears
Pretty good game, nice one!
I'm not spending this long just to assign skill points
No real explanation, spent ages working out what to do, then ages trying to actually jump, completely unable. No clear instruction, no game
There wasn't that much playing of the game, but wow the got really dark really fast!
chuckled :)
Very moody, but also very boring
Good job all round!
Once you lose track of the objects it's damn near impossible to find them again.
love the troll here, good laugh, obviously not gonna win any awards, but well done :)
No audio, humour, controls were miserable/
Fun little game
YES.
Very clever mechanic
Motherload was indeed our initial inspiration. Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to include upgrades but are very proud of the multiplayer component. Thanks for your comments!
Thanks for the comments guys.
davidwparker, I'm uploading Linux and Mac versions very soon, check back later!
DazKins, appreciate the feedback. Both of us on the team really wanted a multiplayer game just because it is cool! However it is still functional and somewhat fun playing singly. Let me know if you want someone else to play with online and I'll hop on!
Wasn't able to get this running, got two errors on load:

After renaming the files to use lower case it didn't crash but the screen was still white. Linux 3.14.1 using Java 1.7.0_55.
Looks good from the screenshots though and I wish you the best!
Really nice concept, pretty unique! Only downsides are unfinished graphics and a lack of an in-game title screen and/or explanation of the goal. Had lots of fun playing this.
Very nicely completed game, well thought out and nicely designed levels. A couple of rage-inducing parts!
Could have done with a little more audio, maybe a backing track. More levels would have been great too!
Your web build downloads a "CVRR.rar" file, don't think it's supposed to do that...
Hi Prophile,
Our music guy actually made three songs, as well as a couple of riffs, but we ran out of time to implement them all.
Unfortunately that was a placeholder that I completely forgot to remove, I'll change it and upload a new build in a minute though!
Thanks for the great feedback, Victory Garden!
There were issues with the platforms dissolving too quickly and when hit from beneath instead of just from above, we just ran out of time to fix everything! The checkpoints weren't actually done by the torches, I guess it was just coincidence on some of them though. It's a pretty neat idea though and we didn't think of that, I'd love to change it such that the checkpoints could be distinguished by larger or different torches.
Sorry about the volume, DaanVanYperen. My PC volume was really low when I calibrated it so I whacked it up to 11 within the game! I might put a little warning above so you can turn your volume down in advance.
WASD and cursor keys for different controls didn't work for me as they are the same buttons on my keyboard (fn+WASD for cursors). Not left any rating as it wasn't really playable.
This is the best game I've seen this weekend, such a brilliant idea. I actually closed my eyes a couple of times instinctively. The text, the art, the idea, this should win LD30!
Nicely made with a good concept, although an AI would have made it perfect.
@ZNCatlaw Olly (Artwork) here. Obviously a lack-of-time was the reason for most of your issues, we still think the overall game is solid, and the combination of raycast shadows & a nightvision drone provides a really interesting and unique game mechanic.
It's always a case of "if only we had more time" but we're very proud of our end product here!
@cxsquared it was a balancing act with the graphics, we wanted to make it deliberately hard to see without the drone, to push usage of our unique game mechanic
@barryrowe I assure you i have completed this game many times by carefully picking my way through the enemies using the drone; it's meant to be more of a stealth game, with a hotline miami vibe to it
Great fun and a lovely playing game. Nice job!
couldn't connect to server
Thanks for the feedback, plokdev. There were many improvements that could have been made to the state when you've knocked out the lights with EMP, and clarifying that the enemies cannot see you is definitely one of them. We also wanted to improve the AI for that, having them run around and shoot completely erratically would have been nice.
Terpin, we're very happy with what we did in the time we spent, but we lost about 12 hours work time over the weekend, which could've taken this game to another level!
steboots, you didn't play this right, as you can shoot the enemies, it must be a bug on your end, sadly without being able to reproduce it, we can't fix it! Try a different pc!
wg_phancock, audio is a big part of games, and there were plenty of sound cues you missed for the shooting! Still, we had a more overt shooting animation in the works.
Coherent art style and music, original idea, timer is definitely way too short.
I've always wanted to try the idea of hand drawn art, really nice. Music was very good as well. Still, can't say it was especially fun.
When I played the camera was far too close to the ship, that said, i could still play a bit. Nice mechanics and a fairly original idea.
Well executed concept, nice music and character art. Found the background art to be lacking, also the text transition flip thing was irritating, and there was a bit too much text in general.
clicked on the web link, 404 not found.
Played the game in the LD page, nice mechanics, you clearly managed to get a lot done in the time, but i feel it's a bit too complex, the controls are too reliant on the mouse.
Short but very sweet, obviously the game itself isn't yours, but something about plugging it all in was good fun
Beautiful artwork, that said it wasn't clear where the level and the background was at times, leading to unfair deaths. My arrows didn't seem to do anything against the robot, and the jump height to the ledges seemed a little off.
Lovely art, well made game. I think the character movement could've been a bit faster, and the fact that your arrows could hit bullets and dead enemies was more irritating than entertaining,
looks to me like not all of the art was finished in time, some of it looks amazing, some of it looks like placeholder stuff. Music was good, all the mechanics played well, i'm not much of a click-adventure person so i couldn't comment on those aspects really.
Longest I've ever played an LD game, absolutely brilliant, addictive, and very well made.
Waaaay too much text for an LD game, which imo was too small. Very unique concept, well made art, especially the fireworks. Can't say it was that fun, though.
HTML5 loaded fast which was nice. Simple concept, nice music, the AI was pretty poor, at not point was I really challenged.
Okay art, well done AI felt my player could have used an extra mechanic to help him stay alive. Didn't hear any music or sound FX, and other things like a score were missing.
Nice art, considering this was your first 3d game you got a lot done. That said, maybe having just one robot, and a gameplay objective, would be a better use of time.
I played the full twenty minutes. What you achieved in the time was staggering.
I think that there are too many animals, that having to target every animal when hunting is a pain, that some Ai for the guys could make the game a bit more fun, and that the 20min timer is a bit too short, i'd only just started my monument when we ran out of time.
Also, moving the mouse to the screen edge didn't work for the top of the screen.
All that said, I've never played an LD game for that long, and am in awe of how much you managed to pull off.
lovely art, and a simple but fun concept. However the decision to make space jump instead of W is a weird one, and made the game frustrating to play.
Some nice modelling, but clearly a lot missing. My guess would be a scope issue. Maybe would be better just trying to hunt one animal through the wild
Beautiful art, addictive gameplay, great level of polish. I think that a better font could've been used for the score/ end game text, and that the days survived as a score wasn't working, could've just been a score based off of enemies killed
Nice artwork, the gameply itself was lacking. Too slow, too little for the player to do, no real gameplay variety.
