LD22 — Alone

Spawn by cadin 2011-12-21T16:11:00

As everyone else says, great game, I sure hope to be able to make somthing like this in 48h!
To me the collision is fine, otherwise it won't be really a challenge, that is easly overcomed with patient.
In fact, i thougth that, if some of the creatures started to eat the food, the game will be more difficult as you make spawn more creatures... so alone with all the food for you, or with company but sharing the food?

Frontier To Nowhere by Verz 2013-12-30T03:17:00

I'm not sure if I should rate and penalize (because is unfair to games that weren't finished/polished), or not rate at all... Maybe you can upload the version before the update along the finished version.

OP is OP by TeamQuadratic 2013-12-19T18:06:00

Liked the concept but I'm sure this needs more levels. Mostly because, since there is so few levels, one power is too more useful than others... the thing to scream, was the "hardest" for me, the flying is too op, and the strong arms was like just walking to the end. Maybe with more levels this could get very interesting, but nice work.
Also, take care about music with very short loops.

sorry about the grammar, spelling and all that :/

The bot didn't answer me, I can't play, maybe "server" offline?

Light of Happiness by Katamori 2013-12-19T00:48:00

Well,
I must tell you, I hope you understand: I was interesed by the text and ideas, but I can't really give you a good score.
But, I didn't wanted to just do that. So I'm leaving a comment, (an useful one i hope) to compensate, maybe.

I really like when games open doors that are usually ignored or taken lightly. Happines is a very heavy topic actually and you have several ideas, some of them I concurr, others not so much. In any way, I must confess I was a little disapointed by the game itself. I understand the limits you got, and I celebrate your attempt to cover the topic in this challenge.

I think you weren't able to carry the ideas presented in text to the game... I guess you noticed that too, so I propose to you a challenge/technique, next game write these ideas, these text down... but do not put them in the game, and try to translate them into gameplay alone. I do not have a problem with text, but ¿What if the ability to write down the concept free us from the obligation to gamefy it? You know, limits (self-limits too) are great for learning new things, new ways... Maybe you are used to write more than design games... (maybe, i cant really know) so, if this is the case, you could force yourself to not write at all (only because you can write)...

Well that is a proposition you can dismiss, of course, I hope you understand my real message: I look forward to your next game, and i know it will be better.

PD: sorry for my bad grammar, i hope the comment is still readable

Contentment by Danny Gallagher 2013-12-24T22:24:00

I liked a LOT the visual style. I also liked the game idea, but I felt my decisions weren't really meaningful to the story (sure, the text change but nothing seems to really change for the history itself, the character, his enviroment, his life)

I also hated (not in a bad way) to bump with the pseudoending. But I also found that very interesting in terms of mood. The game talks to "you" in a narrative way, but suddundly, the game becomes a character (in this case the maker of the history) and he talks to "you", I mean, the protagonist as well as the player. Strange, interesting...

Whether you finish this or start another experiment of this kind, I wish you success!

One Coffin by Dikkop 2013-12-26T16:55:00

Grow Trees...or something by Gamepopper 2015-12-22T00:26:00

You could make some DLC with more trees, flowers, and seasons :P

Low and Flow by el_kloklo 2015-12-20T15:56:00

LOL, great pun in the (game description's) first sentence : P

Candy House by vitorlanna 2015-12-22T01:24:00

I really like the visual style

Star Control by Tortoise 2015-12-31T04:20:00

That name... brings so many memories...
I like the powerups logic, and how you kind of "level designes"-ish with what you had... Also the difficulty scalated quickly

Sprout by mahalis 2015-12-25T18:42:00

I love this little things ^^

Dandelion by ciaodavinci 2015-12-31T04:45:00

Man I love the style, I love spaceships, I love pretty things, I just want more of this thing guys!

Binary by Paco 2015-12-28T16:22:00

I usually forget this kind of things forever & ever. But that's not a good practice. It's a good idea to make a post and even a little more cooking of the thing, just for the excercise of doing it.

Simple but interesting concept :) It reminds me to "Colourless" a rythm game for android. Congrats!
