LD31 — Entire Game on One Screen

Two Hearts by dkilford 2014-12-14T06:02:00

A nicely executed concept. I like how the levels reforms itself after every stage.

Peter Padder Pauleypop by pjchardt 2014-12-14T02:28:00

A very complete experience. The way you used artwork and text is really nice, I liked the life of contemplation this eyeball lives in.

Snow Problem by TehSkull 2014-12-14T04:27:00

Nice entry! I liked how you broke up the two worlds into two drastically different art styles. Pretty hilarious.

Snow Problem by TehSkull 2014-12-14T04:35:00

Really interesting art style. I would have liked more to interact with in each room. Not sure if the timer is necessary.
Good start!

Fireman vs Fire vs Snowman by scriptorum 2014-12-11T07:26:00

Interesting concepts here but I'm not sure exactly what I need to do or who's side I'm on.

Bar Orders of Magnitude by LandoSystems 2014-12-14T04:45:00

Really cool concept, but the belch-scream was waaaaaay too loud. You've got some really cool ideas here, but I feel like having to go back to serve the patrons prohibits me from really exploring the other games.
Good work.

Drillguy 0F-8 by jcmoyer 2014-12-14T04:19:00

Good job! I would have a liked a little bit more feedback for how fast I was going. Also, more speed powerups would have been nice.
Some more varied sound effects would have spiced it up a bit too.
Good start!

Toy workshop by StMatn 2014-12-11T01:12:00

Interesting ideas here, unfortunately it crashed after building my first toy :(

Entire Screen of One Game by Tom 7 2014-12-10T20:05:00

Mind expanding! well done!

Scan Lines by KilledByAPixel 2014-12-12T01:25:00

Hey interesting concept and great execution. I found it hard to understand why I was dying at the beginning (especially when it was because the scanline had destroyed the pellet). I found the controls a bit slide-y and the jump seemed somehow delayed.

Ab Intra by Yarek 2014-12-11T03:05:00

It was short and intense! I found the text really hard to read, though, especially since the game didn't display full-screen at my tv's resolution.

Galaxia by greysphere 2014-12-11T21:04:00

Fantastic game. Really intruiging use of recursive factories, and there's some thought provoking implications concerning the score.

Score stopped recording after 9.something%, but I did snag this shot of my score: http://i.imgur.com/wmYRLcC.png

I'd try and make more use of science in the later stages of the game. (Unless you're making a statement about the limits of scientific epistemology, in which case, kudos!)

Great work!

The Greenening by Erkberg 2014-12-14T17:35:00

Hey I had a lot of fun with this. Loved the different stages of play that came out of it. I never fully understood what the green seeds are all about - were you supposed to avoid them? Also not sure how I kept getting hit with the purple lightning - it was painful to watch my beautiful trees get munched while I was in stasis

SCREEN HEAD by NickZangus 2014-12-11T06:38:00

Clever and funny idea. The graphics and audio really sold the absurdity of it all. great job!

Amiss by srakowski 2014-12-09T04:32:00

An interesting premise, I liked always returning to my hut to type those numbers in. Unfortunately I pressed the esc button when the terminal asked me to exit and found it frustrating to start over.

Mobius Dungeon by nesis 2014-12-12T03:51:00

Wow an interesting mechanic that is well explored with the different abilities you pick up. The presentation is nice and I appreciate the explanations in the game. Liked the animations for the fire and boomerang. Health doesn't feel necessary and dying is very punishing to have to start over.

Spiral Wings by Joe Williamson 2014-12-14T02:45:00

That was a beautiful experience and I enjoyed the dragons movement. Hope you continue to flesh it out.

Escape the darkness - by dearenot by dearenot 2014-12-09T07:16:00

I won! I liked the frantic feel and it fits well with the theme :) Didn't hear any audio.

Life Goes On by sprawl 2014-12-14T02:11:00

Your concept was interesting and I liked trying to understand the relationship between the choices given and the number of coloured characters nearby. I can't help but wish that the choices were more meaningful in some way. Maybe that frustration is the point you were trying to make.

Shadow of the Shotgun by Peni6 2014-12-14T01:53:00

Hey that was a great use of the theme. I love switching between drone & soldier to find my enemies. I found it hard to get the drop on enemies even when I knew where they were because they would start shooting instantly upon detection.

Dugeon Loop by sorle 2014-12-11T02:43:00

Very cool, I was able to play from start to finish :D

At first i had trouble finding my character and knowing who i was controlling, his hair being the same colour as the skulls made it harder.

I tried to find a reliable way to avoid damage and was able to mostly, but sometimes when i sworded the enemy they got knocked into me as well. I eventually managed to defeat the boss, but i felt like i restarted too many times to feel like it was an achievement.

I also didn't realize at first that I had to buy something before i'd be able to use magic.

Trapped by Smiley 2014-12-10T17:47:00

Digging the lighting effects here, creates a nice ambiance. After killing the enemies I just wandered around for awhile not sure what to do... maybe I missed something? Good job on a first submission!

Erik Martin by mindlesslump 2014-12-14T03:00:00

hey this is a solid start. Could use some more feedback when getting hit. Taking the graphics in some new directions could help the mood and I wasn't hearing any audio on my version.

Colosseum Brawl by deadpixelsociety 2014-12-12T01:54:00

Great animations! The game happens very far down the screen, you could use more of the screen-space.
I wanted more depth from the gameplay
Small note: the high score didn't update with my score on the first death.

SHOOT SOME ASTEROIDS MAN by TheExGenesis 2014-12-14T03:22:00

I liked its frantic nature but found it difficult to control well and hard to find myself on the edges. I liked how you can use firing to propel yourself when the fuel runs out.

Cycle by vicious_br 2014-12-12T21:18:00

Hey good job, the game has a nice feel and I like the graphics!

Swarmed by DonovanWu 2014-12-11T06:51:00

Hey good job. I liked how you can jump right back into the fight with a new robot and how the AI's moves can be learned to beat them. If you are updating things maybe make the text on the main page stand out more because it is hard to read when overtop of objects.

Creative Defense by sharp911 2014-12-11T07:32:00

The audio mute button in the top left didn't seem to affect the audio of the game.

Hockey Slash by metalchouchen 2014-12-12T04:12:00

Hey had fun playing this with 4 players. It was fun being chased by the monsters while teammates tried to take them down. It was hard to see the blue player on the blue background and reviving dead players was kind of unclear.

Blauber by Cody Ward 2014-12-14T05:46:00

Great job for 24 hours. I liked filling the screen with waves of shots but the shooting audio became a bit oppressive.

Don't Eat The Damsel by intersectiongames 2014-12-10T04:22:00

Interesting story but the text layout was a bit hard to follow. It would be easier to read if the paragraphs were broken up more.

Art was really nice and the story was lots of fun.

Same Insane by hazzahazzam 2014-12-09T05:56:00

Cool use of the theme! I liked the different challenges on the same terrain. A sound when you land may make it easier to time your jumps especially on level 8 (where I got stuck)

Screen Pong by Cliff Lee CL 2014-12-09T06:02:00

Interesting take on the classic game, it's challenging to wrap your head around it. I like the simple style you used in the visuals.

MoonStar by Caliber_Project 2014-12-12T01:36:00

Hey great job getting this together! I enjoyed the enemies and their animations. It was sometimes hard to differentiate between foreground and background elements which became a problem when you need to avoid enemies. If the background was lighter it may improve the problem.

One Screen Story by BK-TN 2014-12-10T17:59:00

Neat game! good use of the theme to create an interesting world to explore. I found the controls difficult to get used to, why not have each arrow button take you in that direction instead of turning. Also I had the inventory panel open without realizing it and kept thinking I was walking off the side of the map because the panel and the background are both black. Music and subtle wind sound sets a great mood.

Horde Mode(s) by DefectiveMelon 2014-12-14T03:38:00

Hey I liked the concept and that starter screen that lets you choose a maze. I found it hard to survive for very long because of the slow rate of fire.

It's SnowMazing!!! by Sharky 2014-12-09T03:54:00

Great job for your first game! I pressed Shift in the title screen and it crashed, and in-game it did not show the credits.

It seems a bit punishing if you do not choose the right path on the first turn. I like the humour and the playfulness.

2.5Dino Arena by loopinlouie 2014-12-09T05:37:00

I liked the world and I always love dinos. I got stuck my first time in the terrain :( Then I was kicking dino butt after I stopped using my gamepad (doh) and then dinos rained on me in thousands. good time but the perspective is difficult to understand.

0x2603 by Efuvex 2014-12-11T01:51:00

I managed to get to the second level, i like the wall grip! i found it hard to find any successful strategy for the turrets on level 1 other than getting lucky, though. I like the attention paid to the presentation between rounds, but once i'm in control i found it was a lot less clear. I also find the walking/jumping feels a bit raw, and could use more attention.

Perceptions by dgjames222 2014-12-09T04:44:00

it was interesting to see what each character could do! I loved the butcher enjoying a steak in a park on his way home.

Nanaina by Steffan 'Ruirize' James 2014-12-09T04:57:00

Enigmatic art style. Cool game mechanic. It took me a long time to figure out that the world was changing. Double jump was tough.

Dash Dash Die by ProteinPannkaka 2014-12-09T04:17:00

Some great art and gameplay ideas here. Unfortunately I found its difficulty too punishing and I was always dead before the 3rd enemy. I found that my windows bar displayed on top of the game, not sure if that's an unreal thing or just me.

The Shelter by Alter 2014-12-11T03:30:00

I liked that the zombies had independent behaviour! i found the aiming a bit inconsistent, but it's hard to explain why.

Super Start World by calavera 2014-12-09T05:48:00

Very funny! Manjual was my favorite.

Together In Thousands by Os_Reboot 2014-12-09T05:09:00

The petri dish of mixing chemicals was fascinating and a good interpretation of the theme. I struggled understanding what each dropper did even after reading the instructions. I like the name.

Super George by celanova 2014-12-11T02:55:00

Hey, good job!

fisheyeroids by H4ssi 2014-12-14T02:15:00

That effect is quite interesting and used well. I do wish there was a reset after being destroyed.

Sheep enchanter by jsmtux 2014-12-14T15:24:00

Nice idea! I found the wolves near impossible to escape and would eat up my entire flock. I couldn't quite understand the motives of the yellow or multi-colour sheep - they just seemed to run off and get eaten. Maybe I'm not cool enough :)

R by Floriaen 2014-12-14T15:33:00

Seems like there is a problem with the OS/X version where only a quarter of the screen is shown and you have to press R with the mouse in that space to work. I liked the gameplay and smooth animations though. Shooting through a central reticle was interesting.

Kaiser by oscarabraham 2014-12-09T04:04:00

Hey that was fun. It took me a while to find the crack but I liked trying to blow it open. Damn those kaisers are always on my face.

Block Party EGOS by schuranator 2014-12-09T05:25:00

Interesting multiplayer concept. We played 3 players. Sharing the control of the camera among the players was confusing. Seems like some players were not able to rotate the pieces.

Pail & Shovel by Junuxx 2014-12-11T06:55:00

Looks like an interesting game but I could not get the web player version running at an acceptable speed. Will try the windows version if I get a chance.

Attack with Stealth by svarther 2014-12-12T21:25:00

Hey you've got some good stuff working here. I feel like it could benefit from more feedback when you are getting getting hit or hitting enemies. The stealth is an interesting twist but you need to see some indication of where you are.

ROCKROCKET by Backterria 2014-12-09T07:18:00

Love the visual style from the screenshots, unfortunately I'm on a mac...

ROCKROCKET by Backterria 2014-12-12T02:53:00

Wow. That was beautiful. The colour and contrast of that cave was fascinating and the music was a great addition to the ambiance. I found running back over places that I've already been to was starting to try my patience. I felt that the passages could use more connections to each other.

RIZUMUDEKATTO by EquipeJAM 2014-12-10T17:33:00

I think it needs feedback when you press the wrong button or the right button at the wrong time. I had trouble understanding what I was doing wrong at first, maybe the button prompt should highlight when pressing it will land a hit. The hits are satisfying though!

Razor Dodgor ( Razer Dodger) by shotty456 2014-12-11T07:15:00

Hey good job. At first I thought there was no way to predict the razors but then I developed some techniques that got me to 30 seconds.

Bionic Bliss by Mechamew 2014-12-11T02:28:00

Everything looks super polished and I enjoyed the startup screen a lot. I felt like I was looking for some deeper meaning to the dialog that never fully realized. I ended up just saying what would make them happy.

Red Repair by Red Sigma 2014-12-12T04:26:00

That voice acting is impressive! The game was appealing but I never quite figured out how my choices were affecting the outcome, at the end I was putting everyone on sigma one and he vanquished the enemy.

Bench Press Jerry by Joshuaflitcroft 2014-12-13T21:44:00

Voice acting was awesome. You should add some visual feedback for the higher weights.
Could think about changing it up with different weights, and adding some kind of balancing mechanism to encourage changing it up.
Keep it up!

Neon Killer by Wingy Mammoth 2014-12-11T01:23:00

Hey! thanks it was fun jumping around the levels, i found it a bit hard to see tell where i could stand though.

Creep Arena by jeffjk 2014-12-11T03:18:00

Cool! it was a lot of fun to run/jump around, though not having control of the height of my jump made it hard to avoid hitting enemies sometimes.

It seems that if you put a mine on the bottom floor and hide behind the spawners there's no way for them to get to you.

I'd also love for the text to be bigger, it took me a while to figure out how much everything cost.

HYPERPLASM by ciaodavinci 2014-12-09T05:43:00

hey LexGear, did you download hyperplasm_osx_64? Us mac users need to use tattiebogle to get gamepads working (http://tattiebogle.net/index.php/ProjectRoot/Xbox360Controller/OsxDriver). Are you able to launch the game at all?

HYPERPLASM by ciaodavinci 2014-12-10T05:58:00

Nope, no keyboard support. mainlua:174 triggers if you hit "o". It takes a screenshot if your platform supports it.

HYPERPLASM by ciaodavinci 2014-12-10T21:16:00

Thanks for the feedback TriSquare :) I'll investigate this issue, what platform are you on?

HYPERPLASM by ciaodavinci 2014-12-12T19:12:00

Hey StMatn, we've only tested with xbox 360 controllers so far but I'd like to try with other gamepads. If the game detects a connected gamepad you will see a little coloured rectangle in the top left with a flashing 'A'. Thanks for passing along the info.

HYPERPLASM by ciaodavinci 2016-11-19T03:55:00

We've created a new version with keyboard controls, new levels and music: mindfungus.itch.io/hyperplasm

try it out :)

Buttfacę the Snowball Warrior: Winter Invasion by Team Buttfacę 2014-12-12T01:46:00

Misleading title, but great game nonetheless.
I'd like to be able to change direction while I charge a snowball.
Also, the ai wasn't keen on going for the flag.

CUBE Clicker by Polyganz 2014-12-09T07:05:00

Mining operations running at maximum! We must harvest the ever-cube for all that it is worth!

very satisfying game. Loved the visuals and clear UI. Wish there was sound...

Beat Bop Delicious by Kitch 2014-12-14T02:51:00

This is cool. I liked the varied controls you got working.

Deicide by Tifu 2014-12-12T02:05:00

The artwork is really cool, and each boss has a really cool atmosphere.
It feels like direction is tied to momentum. It'd be nice if you could change direction immediately (or at least quicker).

Save The Cities by DomNomNom 2014-12-11T07:02:00

I liked that sunset graphic in the background. The game was fun but difficult, maybe the challenge could be ramped up over a longer time.

No-Face Man by brackeen 2014-12-11T06:14:00

I had fun with this! The generated levels are nice and I liked the haunted masks that hunted me. I enjoyed the procedural levels created over larger displays.

GhostRing by Robotic 2014-12-14T03:13:00

I wasn't able to launch the mac version of the game, I would double click the app and it would expand but nothing would happen.

Then I played the web version and it was amazing. Loved how multiplayer worked on one keyboard and could include so many people. The sound and art really carried the experience.

LD32 — An Unconventional Weapon

TUGBOAT by lucentbeam 2015-04-25T03:33:00

Nice retro colours, cool art and catchy music. Very enjoyable to fling spaceships all over the screen. Could not establish what determines the Fling Bonus at the end of the round. Also, just to let you know that the OS X version worked fine for me.

Curved Curse by S0lll0s 2015-04-27T22:04:00

Great atmosphere and music.
The screen-bounce with shot release was satisfying.
The death sound effect was too jarring though.
Since you've enable arrow-key movement, I suggest adding a keybind to right shift for the expanded view.
Fun stuff! (-a fellow lover)

Natural Weapon by Manou 2015-04-25T03:18:00

Great job giving a sense of visual depth with the blurry elements in the foreground and the sharp background ones. The stylized visuals and music contribute to an intriguing atmosphere. Looking forward to seeing what you end up doing with it.

Genemon by Pietro Ferrantelli 2015-04-27T22:24:00

Excellent work!
Hotkeys would make the gameplay a lot smoother.

The Hand That Feeds by Skinny Jean Death 2015-04-25T04:05:00

Nice take on the theme. I enjoyed the art. The camera gave me a hard time since it kept following my pet and leaving me out of the frame (running it on Mac). I agree that it would be great to make the pet stand out more among all the other creatures.

LD33 — You are the Monster

One-monster Elite Monster Rescue Squad by rustybroomhandle 2015-08-29T15:54:00

Nice job. Great art style. Really enjoyed the overall mood. Music was catchy and sfx fit well. Found the movement with the keys was a bit laggy. Played it on Safari.

LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

Acrodog by dvdfu 2015-12-31T03:37:00

I liked the animations of the dog! they were super cute. and the sparkles when you were in the spotlight! the music was also really nice. it took a little while to get a hang of the controls, i found often i accidentally held the button too long when i wanted a short tap, and he went flying!

Grow Your Love by DDRKirby(ISQ) 2016-01-03T22:55:00

This is one of my favourite ludum dare games that i've played! I love how well everything fits together, and it's just so heartwarming i can't explain!!

ZX (3 in 1) by myachin 2016-01-04T17:42:00

Cool stuff! I enjoyed the visual style and how you explored the 2 button theme in three different ways.

Multitasking Madness by Benn 2016-01-02T17:31:00

I enjoyed the franticness of it; however I did not last more than a few rounds if I concentrated on more than one game. Maybe starting off with just one game and progressively add the rest would create a better difficulty curve. Experienced control conflicts when the same key appeared for more than one mini-game. Nice design and lots of potential!

Witch of the Grove by SimonLarsen 2016-01-03T23:17:00

This is super charming! My main obstacle was figuring out how to get new seeds, reading the description helped with that : )

o / O by NMcCoy 2016-01-04T17:58:00

Great exploration of a mechanic! Great feel to the controls, seems like it is tuned very well.

Exponential Cris(m)is by hitchh1k3r 2015-12-31T19:04:00

This was so much fun! Great concept, and the design was intuitive.

The Tail of Zlatanas by Gaspard_ 2016-01-02T17:44:00

Couldn't get the .jar file to execute. Concept seemed nice though!

Owan by Herzucco 2016-01-03T16:16:00

Fantastic entry! One of the best entries I have seen. The background art, characters and animations were really beautiful and enjoyable. The music and sound effects were also very fitting and set a nice reflective mood. I did not understand if there was any consequence in destroying the other characters in some levels. I liked the mechanic, but found it a bit too easy. Perhaps adding a bit of complexity to the levels would be cool. Great job overall!

Murphy's chaos garden by BooleanByte 2016-01-03T15:53:00

Really cool entry! I loved the patterns it created on the screen. A bit more guidance on which image represents what type of growth would be nice. Also, maybe giving better feedback on the state of the system would be more rewarding. I saw there is an "Ants: indicator, but it was always displaying 50, regardless of how I changed temperature or pollination. If you continue working on it, adding sound based on the number of a certain type of growth could create interesting soundscapes. Good job!

Bean up by Viza 2016-01-03T06:15:00

Charming graphics and colours. Really nice to see that it was done in Pico-8. Impressive work for 3 hours of work! I enjoyed the controls as I felt I was guiding the stalk rather than steering it. Good job!

One Day I'll Be A Flower by Ovidios 2016-01-04T00:07:00

I kept losing before getting instructions on how to grow leaves, it also seems a little random when sunbeams come down and when they don't

Guardian by TheMeorch 2015-12-29T17:32:00

Great game. I was a bit confused at the beginning when I could not attack when I was carrying the baby, but it made sense after a short while. Felt the middle levels were the most challenging. Really enjoyed the narrative and the sacrifice mechanic! Would be great to integrate some sound, if you continue working on it. Nice job!

Dandelion by ciaodavinci 2015-12-29T17:56:00

Hi Tselmek, what version did you download?

Opcode-Powered Shuttle (working title) by Guard13007 2016-01-03T23:57:00

It was a bit hard to figure out what different actions did, i flew off away from everything by accident o_o

animal islands by geckojsc 2016-01-03T05:58:00

Cute graphics and well-matching sounds. Really enjoyed how the soundscape gets added through time. I felt that the randomness of the tile placement left me with little control over the outcome and overall strategy of the game. Great take on the theme of the jam!

IVY by TRAB 2016-01-04T17:50:00

Great job - the simple visuals and sound feel great. One small issue: I was actually trying to use the "L" and "R" character keys at first... Maybe showing <- and -> in the instructions would make that clearer.

Story Into Jungle by Afendar 2015-12-29T17:46:00

Nice job! I was using a trackpad and I found the controls really difficult. The panda was moving really fast and it was hard to land on platforms. Cool looking sprites!

Grownan's Adventure by Jwgk 2015-12-30T22:51:00

Nice art and sprites, especially Grownan and the helibros. Good job in using the two-button and growth themes.

Rampage by ahmedrage 2015-12-29T22:33:00

Hey nice job! Something about knocking people out in rapid succession that is pretty... satisfying. It's got that hotline miami vibe :) I agree that the sfx don't quite match the aesthetic that you have - also having a sfx when you get hit would be helpful. Maybe flashing your character or the screen red when you get hit as well to let you know when you are taking damage.

Yuusha Kishi by wrexialmt 2016-01-03T06:28:00

Nice art and music. Good job putting all the assets you collected together! Nice work for 8h of development!

LD35 — Shapeshift

windowframe by managore 2016-04-26T03:27:00

Really interesting use of the theme. great job as always! Everything about this game felt like it was put together really well.

Dave from Bungie by Dmitrix 2016-04-19T17:22:00

The interface was great. Clever interpretation of shapeshift. I hope you expand on this!

Creased by Cosine 2016-04-26T03:14:00

I liked folding the paper but sometimes it seemed to do unexpected things. I actually had fun freestyle-folding the paper outside of the objectives. It would be cool if different sides of the paper had different colours.

Mathematica Arcana by wtfrara 2016-05-01T00:44:00

I didn't realize I could click on the bottom left icon at first to shape-shift but once I figured that out I had fun with it. The hexagon was really powerful, I didn't want to go off of it.

Shwift : The Maratron by Kerdelos 2016-04-26T02:49:00

I was playing coop with my friend and it was challenging to beat a later mission, we had fun. I'm glad the gamepad support was there :)

SLAM_SHIFT by Udell Games 2016-05-02T01:27:00

Hey this was pretty cool. It would be nice if the music would continue to play when you die instead of starting over.

ShapeOut 2016: Extreme Fast Forward by DraKlaW 2016-04-26T02:00:00

It felt a bit punishing but I liked going really fast after playing through the level a few times. I think i would have preferred focusing on how to pick up more rather than avoiding obstacles.

ShapeOut 2016: Extreme Fast Forward by DraKlaW 2016-04-26T02:01:00

also because I didn't mention: great job! i had a lot of fun.

Tentacle Boy by thegunmaster 2016-05-02T01:40:00

Really cool mechanic although I did find it hard to use. Great interpretation of the theme!

motion: a by sepharoth213 2016-05-01T01:08:00

Wow so cool! This was fun to play with and runs great in the browser.

SHAPE☆SHIFT by KaiClavier 2016-05-01T00:33:00

Hey cool game, I liked the mood and the switching bodies mechanic was neat. The platforming felt a bit slow and floaty to me but maybe that was just the web version.

Cutting Hedge by Headmade 2016-05-02T03:36:00

fun little game. There is something quite satisfying about snipping bushes

Taiga Woods by Karai17 2016-04-19T17:16:00

Cool game! It looks great.
The movement felt good, but turning around to fire an arrow and then turning around to kite the tiger felt a little janky.

Also, I was confused by the weapons changing when I encountered a new tiger.

Love the puns ^^. Good stuff!

Paint Bug by ciaodavinci 2016-04-26T16:58:00

Thanks guys!

@Cosine Yes I agree with your suggestion, we've been working on a post-jam update that let's you lift the bug off of the page so you are not always painting with it.

@FloatingGhost awww, that's exactly what I like to hear.

@aeveis hey nice doodle! We've been posting our paintings to twitter with #paintbug https://twitter.com/search?q=%23paintbug&src=typd (kind of an informal shared gallery)

Operation R.E.P.T.I.L.E. by Jungle 2016-05-02T01:48:00

Cool concept. That title screen is wild :)

Andari Prime by Fabraz 2016-04-26T04:26:00

I really like the aesthetic of the game, its pretty cool wandering around this city filled with aliens. Good use of the theme to create an interesting mechanic. My favorite part was stomping around the tiny village as the big alien, destroying all the houses - were those just tiny aliens and I was destroying their homes?

ShiftMatch by smoreley 2016-04-26T01:39:00

I was confused at first but the info menu helped us figure it out. Nice job.

FLESH TO STONE by tjmolinski 2016-05-01T00:56:00

This is cool, it was fun turning into stone to pass through the death rays. I felt that it would be cool to slide a bit when turning into stone - the stop on shift right now is quite abrupt.

The Flying Carplane by ZpeedTube 2016-05-01T01:23:00

wow I actually had a lot of fun with this game. I was trying to go max speed with the car and then I hit one of those blue cubes and was sent into a mad roll - was great.

The Vaultshifter by ohmaigawd 2016-04-26T03:01:00

It was fun to be a tree. I was disappointed I couldn't use the chainsaw on the tree to get across the roof gap. Still found my way in because of the dead guy. That was surprising.

Shapeman by danieldsj 2016-04-26T04:04:00

I liked the recorded voices also sometimes it stacked up and became kind of crazy. Fun game! I liked how you used the theme to create a interesting mechanic. Makes for some exciting gameplay to have things rush toward and away from you.

Purrr by Farelle 2016-04-26T03:52:00

I liked being a cat and exploring this environment but I wasn't sure what I was supposed to be doing. Also had some issues with the mouse on the web version.

Bulletmorfer by Schurtz 2016-04-26T03:35:00

I saved the world! Fun game and I enjoyed the graphics. I think sound would help the feel of the game in a great way.

Where Wolf? by squigglez 2016-04-26T03:58:00

Hey great job! Well put together.

Down The Well by ekx 2016-05-01T00:19:00

Great game! I had a lot of fun playing this. The music and rushing walls really made it feel intense and it was fun to get better at surviving. Would make a great mobile game.

Don't Look at Me by ijona 2016-04-26T02:32:00

This place was creepy and I liked it. I felt like darkness coming to end all things bright and loud.

Then it crashed.

Great job!

Shapegrammer by APantaloni 2016-05-01T01:29:00

This was really cool and challenging. It was fun to keep jumping back into it

Shapedrifter by LRP 2016-05-01T00:10:00

Hey nice job! It's a bit unclear who are your allies/enemies and how the light affects them. The particle swarms and lines for the creatures were cool though.

LD36 — Ancient Technology

1991BCE by GhostBomb 2016-08-31T03:53:00

NICE! cool feel to this game. It gets really punishing when it flips upside down.

Madness of the Golden Relic by namu 2016-08-31T03:35:00

fun characters and cool board of traps and levers.

Way of the Gear [Unfinished] by HacksawUnit 2016-08-31T03:47:00

really enjoyed the visuals - colors, screen-shake, lighting were all nice! Definitely should finish it.

Ancient Robots by TimBeaudet 2016-09-06T16:02:00

I like the concept of punching cards, both for movement and as an ancient technology. I also enjoyed the animation of the grid when hitting a rock. It feels like the plane's navigational system is breaking. Perhaps having a wider range of pitches in the sfx would make each of them stand out more (moving, turning. colliding, etc.) Nice job!

The Pyramid's Secret by Misspeld Games 2016-09-06T16:27:00

Really great atmosphere! The eerie music and the lighting sets in the mood perfectly. I read in the comments that there were darts. I didn't get to see them :( I seemed to be stuck in the same room with the box and the switch regardless of which exit I took. Maybe it was a bug? There seems to be a lot of potential with the few elements you have there, but think of how each room is interesting in its own way and how to make players enjoy their learning. Keep it up!

Blocky Hill by SweatyChair 2016-09-01T02:12:00

Cool game!
- sometimes the attack animations would overlap into other models.
- it felt like the flat 2d for the little coineys didn't work with the rest of the game's approach to 3d
- I wanted a more structured way of experiencing the levels.
there wasn't any sense of completion in my playthrough.

I had fun though, great job!

Ig-Knight by Pickens Inc. 2016-08-31T03:09:00

I really enjoyed playing this, my final score was 18600. I wish it got harder. Would be fun to be swarmed with ghosts in end :)

Aquadrata by Four Quarters 2016-09-01T16:54:00

neat experience! The pixel art is superb and the music creates a great atmosphere. The ending felt punishing after all the hard work I put in taking pieces off, but now I hear there are other endings - I am curious...

Jurassic Ark by Headmade 2016-09-06T16:58:00

Great and funny game! I loved the animation, the art and the sfx. Controls were hard, but it was a good challenge. Adding BG music and sfx when the island gets destroyed would be nice.

Disgolem by ocarson 2016-08-31T16:51:00

cool little game. I like bouncy characters and background! I did feel like I was pressing the key on beat but not getting it sometimes - maybe the window for a successful press needs to be a bit wider.

NITH by kadealicious 2016-08-31T16:54:00

Yes I am having the same problem as @skreeb Make sure to 'SHARE' on dropbox and then 'Create a link'.

Nomore by djfariel 2016-08-31T04:12:00

Fun game. The character is great, I love its speed.

The Forgotten Pyramid 2: Rememberance by dotGame 2016-09-01T02:29:00

nice game. really loved where you took the theme.
one annoying bug: I was getting items stuck on top of each other

DaDaDaDa by Aerohand 2016-09-01T02:16:00

hehe, fun stuff. a couple thoughts:
- I liked how the health bars went negative, it's like I could see how much damage I did to them in the short span between their hp going below the bar and when they despawned. It's like an overkill bar.
- the bullet sound was overwhelming. it sounds like you were playing the sound effect every frame
- A+ menus

Plant + Birds by TerraCottaFrog 2016-08-31T03:27:00

Really great concept. I had trouble understanding how to build onto the plant at first but it was fun after reading the instructions. I got stuck at a part where I could only build turrets because all I was growing was red apples - did I do something wrong?

Beyond Ages by Mathiouza 2016-08-31T04:01:00

man that guard turned me directly into a skeleton! Really neat game - loved the adventure through time and the ending was great. Falling into pits wasn't so fun though.

The Fixer by lordvorath 2016-08-31T17:03:00

I enjoyed this experience. I like how the visuals, music and story progression create a sense of mystery to this world. The long corridors do get tedious though and it really needs an ending to the story!

LD37 — One room

Dwarfsplosion by fabsy 2017-01-02T06:29:00

This is fantastic. Really liked the way the pacing unfolded. It felt natural to move between the drill and the explosives.
The camera felt nice and elastic.
There's a lot to admire here and I hope you develop it further!

Down the Cave by CandyCreep 2016-12-28T01:56:00

Thanks for the game!

The music really fit with the gameplay. The sound effects were great too.

After I gameovered I wasn't sure if I needed to press anything to start again or if the game would restart after a set amount of time.

Some small suggestions:
Landing a slash didn't feel very juicy. Maybe some slight knockback or screenshake would do it.
The environment was pretty cool, but I think it's missing something - maybe some way of encouraging the player to kite the enemies towards part of the level.
Cool stuff!

Marimo by Bemmu 2016-12-21T02:13:00

Fun little entry. I enjoyed the happy, festive music and sound effects. There seemed to be a point where you reach critical mass and then there is no competition anymore. Would be nice to have some struggle until the end. Great job!

Toy Box Metropolis by SecondDimension 2016-12-28T02:32:00

We really enjoyed your game! The art and graphics are very pretty and fit really well with the soothing and relaxing music. We especially liked the robot on the corner.

It took us 5 turns to figure out that buildings could be stacked, but when we found that out, we really loved the animations.

The roads didn't seem to contribute to reaching the goal. If they did, we couldn't figure it out.

Maybe consider changing the typeface used when selecting buildings. Currently it is too thin and small, and it is hard to read.

Also, perhaps the goal screen and your current score can be combined into one screen (such as, INFRASTRUCTURE: XX/XX).

hoplitelite by Attrition 2016-12-31T23:11:00

Thanks for this game! Really enjoyed playing through it - the aesthetic felt consistent and it matched up well with the music.
Took me a couple tries, but I beat level 8.

I hope you keep working on this, there's a lot of potential here!

Tangent by rxi 2016-12-21T02:02:00

Amazing mood and music! I also really enjoyed the minimal animations and the simplicity of it all. Great puzzle designs! One small comment, I got stuck between the two descending doors. Maybe adding a reset button for these cases would be useful. Overall, a solid entry!

the room by rogueNoodle 2016-12-14T03:53:00

Really beautiful design, mood and music (I used Chrome and it worked fine). I loved how simple it is and smoothly it plays. Also thanks for sharing on Twitter how this was done. Very cool!

The Library by Stending 2017-01-02T21:57:00

Beautifullly ephemeral! The atmosphere, the music and the changing environment made it all magical. Thank you for making it!

As others have said, I had a bit of trouble getting used to the change of measures. It took me a song to actually realize that the end note of a measure was duplicated at the beginning of the next.

Also, whenever I did not play the correct note, the song seemed to be interrupted or delayed slightly which was too distracting. I was playing on a Mac.

In terms of difficulty, I thought it was adequate. I started with Air getting 71% and the rest were 90+%, so I think I got used to it :)

Would love to see the soundtrack available somewhere! Overall, beautiful game!

Heavens Inc. by komjaur 2016-12-28T03:29:00

Loved the art! Some idle animations would have been cool.
I didn't like that I got the same question more than once.
Really enjoyed flicking the characters.

Really fun! Thanks!

a bug: one of the options only read "No he"

Dark Room by Sarge3v 2016-12-28T03:54:00

Awesome work!
I didn't realize that I could use one of the clues on the other clues. I was trying to use clues on the environment.
Also, I think I got stuck in the second black room. Couldn't figure out how to trigger the next scene the first time I played, but it advanced properly on the second playthrough.

Overall I loved it though. It was like a cross between a Greg Egan novel and Lovecraft. Creepy.

4/4 Room by Remicy 2016-12-31T23:49:00

Great art style and catchy music. Really cool that you used Bosca Ceoil. I am a big fan of it! I thought the card system was interesting, but it felt that luck (finding keys and potions) was not on my side. Nice job overall!

Heavy Industries by TurboCorp 2016-12-13T05:27:00

Wow, thanks for this game.

Felt really bouncy and fun. The animations are slick, and I like how quickly it drops you in game. Holds together very nicely, and I'm looking forward to playing it with more people.

one quibble: windows asked me for network privileges unprompted, I prefer to choose network access from a menu

Spacedoor by Ant0nin 2017-01-02T02:12:00

The atmosphere was great. The audio and sound effects really built the anxiety and horror of the game. It felt, as it has been mentioned, that some interactions (pushing, using the flashlight, etc.) could be smoother. Overall, great job though!

Behold Our Dark Science by kato9 2016-12-31T22:45:00

Hey! Awesome stuff. The aesthetics reminded me of fract (the soundtrack too!)

If you press spacebar again, you autojump when you land. Dunno if it's intentional, but it made me want to bunny-hop everywhere.

I found the swaying while you walk a bit excessive.

Thanks for the game, really enjoyed playing through it.

Roombat by JD557 2017-01-03T01:18:00

Nice job! I like the premise of the game. It was fun and fast-paced, but I found it distracting that the page moved up and down when moving the character.
